In this podcast, I’ll be talking with Sandi Luckey, the executive director of the Montana Democratic Party. Sandi is working on a rural outreach project, and because I’m a rural Montanan, I’ve been wanting to talk with Sandi about it. I’ve also wanted to ask her about on-going campaign programs as they relate to rural Montana. So our conversation begins with Sandi giving me an overview of the rural outreach project and then moves on to talk about what rural Montanans had to say about critical issues that they are dealing with. Interwoven within our conversation, is information on the Montana Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign, the Montana Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and the Blue Bench Project – and how all these relate to rural Montana. It’s good stuff, so listen up!

Montana Tier B 2020 candidates include Kimberly Dudik and Raph Graybill for Attorney General, Bryce Bennett for Secretary of State, Shane Morigeau for State Auditor, and Melissa Romano for Superintendent of Public Instruction. So, you might ask, what’s important about these candidates, especially with a label of Tier B? It turns out that these positions in our state government are really critical – these are the people that look out for our state elections, schools, state trust lands, health insurance rates – just to name a few areas of interest.

All audio clips of the Montana Tier B candidates in this podcast were recorded at the MONTANA PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS ANNUAL STATEWIDE MEETING, Saturday, February 29, in Helena, Montana. All Tier B candidates were at the meeting and each talked about their campaign for about 5 minutes.
