This weekly broadcast will be a mixture of talks featuring inspiring guests with expert knowledge in their fields, my own lived experiences, and interviews with real people with real stories across the globe. You will have no choice but to sprout and grow irrespective of the size of your thorn. I'm Sophia A Acheampong, I am happy to be your host!
Your personality is what makes you distinct and sets you aside from everyone else. Knowing yourself is true intelligence. Nothing is more beautiful than a confident person who doesn't pretend to be someone else.
In this episode, there is an encouragement to help you discover your positive traits and how to sharpen it to build your confidence.
Are you a self-doubter? Some level of self-doubt is healthy . However, chronic self-doubt can rob you of seeing the abilities you possess. Many of the people God used to accomplish great things started out as real doubters. Watch the account of Moses. A man who had a divine encounter and was chosen by God Almighty himself doubted himself to be used to accomplish a divine assignment. In this episode, I talk you through three simple steps you can take to overcome self-doubt.
Welcome to the 7th episode of sprouting amongst thorns. Doubt is a killer of abilities. No matter how hard you try, how big or small your ambition is, and your abilities, there will be people who will make you feel you are inadequate. In this episode, I draw lessons from the story of David when his brother and Saul doubted his abilities in I Samuel chapter 17 to give insight on how to respond to doubt.
Life is a journey and not a destination. The destination can be your chosen destination or Gods appointed destination. How do you identify God's appointed place for you? How do you work, deal with contention, and manifest Gods spoken words? I use the book of Genesis chapter 26 to draw the practicalities of Isaac’s journey and relate it to everyday life.
Shame is a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behaviour. Shaming targets who a person is, not what they do.
It is hard to let go of shameful experiences especially when there is evidence of the act. It feels like you have little control over your life when the acts of shame become known to loved ones. Which makes being kind to yourself even more difficult. This week, Sophia sits with Dr. Augusta Olaore for a conversation about dealing with shame and how to empathise with yourself and others for total transformation.

No matter how well prepared you are, there comes moments in your life where there is dryness and a lack of means to make your joy complete. This episode will change your perception of desperate situations, God's promises, and making an impact in the life of others even when you feel broken yourself. You will be inspired to smell the roses along your dry and patchy journey!
In this episode, I talk about the high standards set by society that unfortunately has become a mirror for viewing and accepting ourselves. We do not have control over some of our physical features, background, family types, gender, race ethnicity and other natural suggests there is a need to accept your self whilst working on self-development to overcome some of the challenges you can work on. On a more positive note, I highlight that the “imperfections” that you struggle with is what makes you unique. Whatever you give attention to magnifies. It is therefore important you give much attention to your strong attributes whilst feeding your brain positive information about yourself and detaching emotions from your personal development.

In this introductory episode, I make a comparison between life and a seed on the assumption that they both have the potential to sprout and grow. I go on further to explain that the struggles of life begin even before conception. I give an explanation of what a thorn signifies, its relation to life, and the way it presents itself.
