As we look towards the final stretch of the semester, let's take some time in the book of Psalms to address common issues college students face. This week: trusting God.
Relationships create conflict. How do you live with people who love to make your life difficult? The Bible has the answer!
Winthrop Cross Impact meets on the campus of Winthrop University each Tuesday night at 8pm during the school year for our on-campus Bible Study.
What is hypocritical love? What is genuine love? Rom. 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.
God wants you to be involved in a community of faith—a church. God has designed church as the place where you can connect with others and use your spiritual gifts. We discuss Romans 12:3–8 and 1 Corinthians 12.
As we discuss building and maintaining Godly relationships, we find that the Bible tells us that our relationship with God and our relationships with others are connected.
Winthrop Cross Impact is a ministry of Harvest Baptist Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina. We meet on campus for our Bible Study every Tuesday night 8pm in the DiGiorgio Student Center (Digs), room 114.
Examining a couple parables and a teaching by Jesus, we talk about how having the right values and priorities is key to living as a disciples of Christ
This week, we talk about Jesus' instructions to his disciples concerning prayer and the pattern that he gives them for praying.
Christ tells the parable of the soils and the parable of the lamp.
Luke 8:18 “So take care how you listen. . ."
In this touching gospel account, Jesus heals two different people with their own issues. They have different needs, and Jesus meets these needs where they are.
Jesus confronts a self-righteous man about his need for a Savior and accepts the worship of a less-than-reputable woman who makes a great sacrifice for her Lord.
What are you building your life on? What's under the surface? How do you identify yourself? What does it mean to be a true disciple?
What does Jesus have to say about relationships and conflict? How do we handle problems with other people?
If you’re going to live out the radical change of being a Christian in the world today, you’re going to have to see the world a little differently. While many times, we pursue riches, food, happiness, and a good reputation (what is listed here), we really ought not to do so primarily. While it is natural to pursue these things, it is not what disciples of Jesus should be concerned with.
What is the difference between following Jesus around and following Jesus? Jesus starts calling disciples and finds the most unlikely of followers.
Jesus performs a memorable miracle and calls the fishermen to be "fishers of men." Join the Cross Impact Campus Bible Study as we work through this passage in Luke 5 and recognize its significance for the believer's life today.
