On the show today I ask with a question, What is the most important part of the sales process?
When I ask this question in my live events most people will say, the closing of the sale, Some will say, negotiation, qualification, demo/presentation, I don't want you just to read this and not watch the video, its one thing to read but I go into further detail about the importance of this part of the sales process, I share stories about sales people contacting me and not checking my history with the company, Sales people demo'ing / presenting and making mistakes that cost them deals, No qualification being done at the start so you're wasting time on deals that should never have started .In this podcast I document my journey, its easy to highlight the great parts but people can really like from the mistakes we make and those are what I try to share.Thank you for joining me on this journey Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/marksclairetraining/ LinkedIn: MarkSclaire https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-sclaire-97202045/ Website: www.marksclaire.com Email: mark@marksclaire.com Phone: +971566556093 ======================= Please support this channel by giving me a like, subscribing or leaving a comment.Ep 97 What is the most important part of the sales process?
Welcome to another episode of failing my way (in public) to success.
3 weeks in a row now, getting some consistency going again.
This is the journey of Mark, lots of downs, many ups but just trying to find my way to success. Most shows you only see the highlight reels, the great successes that people claim every day,
That's not real though and even if they are being upfront, many times its not authentic and part of the plan.
I hope on this show people get an insight into the challenges I face on a weekly basis, both externally and internally,
On the pod this week, I talk about the 2 interviews that I recorded for my new season I have 2 podcasts, 1 is the show you're listening to now (thank you) and the other is where I interview people to get insights and knowledge so I can be better at what I do and because you're listening, you might learn something also.
The 1st recording was on Thursday, 4th April and as much as i prepared, there were issues,I felt like I wasn't seated right and because of that I was not engaged enough with the person I was interviewing.
My biggest problem was that I got into my head that I could not look at my notes whilst the person was talking, I felt that if they saw this they would think I was disrespecting them and that's not the case AT ALL!!I
t is very normal for the person doing the interview to look at their notes but for some reason I could not do it.
Why does this matter? because I feel I ended up asking questions that yes meant something but did not go with the objective of the interview.
The show was for 1 hour and we ran out of time, It easily could have gone on another hour, If you are reading down this far, I really appreciate it :)
What I want to say hear though is that I had a chance the next day to do better, I wrote down what I felt went wrong and I made sure that I did better the next time, I can say that everything i wanted to better, I did,
The seating, the mic position, asking 2 questions at the end that were important to me, I looked down at the questions (i informed the new guest I would be doing that)
There is something that I need to say as well though, I really don't know what this is yet but what I do know, the point of the show is to interview people that I can learn from and be inspired, people I respect, its not for clickbait or having people on because its a popular topic and will get views.
I'm being selfish, I want to learn and get the edge, the great news is, you can listen and get the edge also.

If you have been following my podcast over the past 2 years, (1st of all, thank you)
At the start of the podcast, I'd started the journey to build a sales training company (for the 2nd time)
The update now is that I have done what I said I would do (after changing the model of the business) and I have recorded, edited and sequenced an online sales program. The next step (5 months into this step is getting it where people can see it and that takes money and ALOT of effort.
Along with this I came to the realisation (again) that I don't want to work for myself, I want to be part of a business where I can grow, develop but also lead a team. That happened at the start of 2022 and in the podcast I document this journey in a way where people get to see what most people don't show, (their struggles and failures,
This podcast will cover topics such as...
Starting in a company where I have been out the game for a number of years
Family issues that I have to block out because If I think about them it can screw up my whole day.
Balancing a relationship with trying to excel at work
Trying to launch a side business that will create a passive income
Overcoming many challenges, both mentally & physically,
Trying to lose the belly but enjoying chocolate and crisps too much.
The goal of this is to document my journey to look back on and see how far i've come but also to help others who think the people they admire have their sht together but really they're pretty f*kd up but know if they keep going and stay consistent, they will get there.

On a bi-weekly basis I put together a podcast about what I am doing a long the journey of failing my way (in public to success) Me doing this show is quite conflicting because obviously I should be this finished polished article that can show you exactly what you need to do to be successful but like us all, I make mistakes and I'm on this journey to find out just how far I can go I really hope you appreciate that and don't judge me too much because you as well have a journey to go and if you are judging me then you are judging yourself and I would hate to see that happen
It's important this podcast is put out there because so many people portray a life of success when really so much sh+t goes on.
In this weeks episode I speak about
Event success but its all in the follow
Being too impatient with others and expecting more
Communication at the event that helps me learn and develop
unnecessary 'debates' when we just should be getting on with our jobs
The importance of guidelines, even if they are your mates.
I don't want people to be deterred from taking the leap but I feel people should be aware and prepared

I love interviewing people that have a real passion for what they do and there is no one I know with more drive and will to see where he can get to than, Michael Kenner. This is the 2nd interview I have done with Michael, This is really a fly on the wall experience I recently joined a company and become the regional manager, leading a team and working closely with marketing. After 1 day of going through the marketing plan, I knew I needed the help from someone who, yes they know what they're talking about but has also 'paid to play' the game, spending into the hundreds of thousands of pounds just to know if a certain keyword is hot that month. Willing to risk it all, you cant help but be inspired by how Michael just keeps on going and going.

I BROKE - I FAILED - I LET MYSELF DOWN - I DON'T FOLLOW STUFF THROUGH - that's what goes through your head when you against what you said you were doing.
I have an issue, what others think of me does not drive me to overcome adversity, many people will thrive in that environment but when im sat there not wanting to have the same crap happening to me each day, I knew I had to bite the bullet and take a leap back into the 'real world'
There is a lot of good that has come from this journey, a lot to be proud of and a lot more to do but as I have always said, I like working for a company, there is nothing wrong with that.
Hope you enjoy the show, let me know your thoughts.

On a weekly basis I put together a podcast about what I am doing a long the journey of failing my way (in public to success) Me doing this show is quite conflicting because obviously I should be this finished polished article that can show you exactly what you need to do to be successful but like us all, I make mistakes and I'm on this journey to find out just how far I can go I really hope you appreciate that and don't judge me too much because you as well have a journey to go and if you are judging me then you are judging yourself and I would hate to see that happen
It's important this podcast is put out there because so many people portray a life of success when really so much sh+t goes on.
I don't want people to be deterred from taking the leap but I feel people should be aware and prepared
On todays show I speak about my mum and dad arriving in Dubai, not seeing my mum for almost 2 years and the first time seeing my dad since he was in lockdown with me.
I can't tell you how happy I was to see her and sad I am that she left.
Thank G-d for video call
the last 2 weeks have been amazing but I also have to stay focused on the business. I decided to focus in the mornings where I am most active, I wake up at 5am and by 11am my full focus was on my parents.
These are big struggles we can face as entrepreneurs because we must find balance in our lives
What's the point of building the business and not spending quality time with my mum
Hope you enjoy the podcast and me being me and thank you for listening.

It's important this podcast is put out there because so many people portray a life of success when really so much sh+t goes on.
I don't want people to be deterred from taking the leap but I feel people should be aware and prepared
The last few months for me have been tough, all the video content is complete for my online course and yet I have not launched anything
Why is this?
Fear of spending money
Fear of it not being right
Fear of too much to do to drive awareness
All of this and more
I will say this is all part of the journey and when I look back I might laugh but right now, it sucks.
I'm upset because I expect more from myself, people say I'm doing really good but I know I'm not reaching my full potential.
It's important people know it's been sh7t because the last few days I've been at an event and I've received a few messages about how great things are going but that's not the case.
yes the event was a success but in regards to my online training program, i'm months behind schedule.
Can I change this and get it up and running? YES I CAN!!
NOW FOR SOME GREAT NEWS
I have a very special guest who has agreed to be on my podcast who I met at the event.
People talk about law of attraction but they forget about the action part, well, I made this happen
I asked the person directly and they agreed, WHOOP WHOOP!!
Along with this, I ran into someone that connected me the right person at a company and now it looks like a potential to do ALOT of training sessions next year. LET"S DO THIS!!!
Hope you enjoy the podcast and me being me and thank you for listening.

Welcome to the Mark Sclaire Podcast
This show is split into 2 parts
1 - Documenting my journey, ups and downs of building a business
2 - Interviewing people who I can learn from and as I am learning, so are you
on the show today is someone I met in Thailand 2018
A company I was working with to set up and grow the business in Dubai
had a 3 day work retreat. The company is owned by 2 of my best mates, one of the
owners, Michael brought this person in to a meditation and yoga session .
Like most I was quite skeptical, all a bit airy fairy for me.
BUT, my perspective was soon to change
In walked Brett with a beaming smile and an energy that just you to him.
What was to follow were some techniques and styles to help with focus, anxiety,
self doubt and being aware of yourself and your surroundings
On this podcast today, we speak about
Techniques to help you start your day with purpose
actions to take that can help with self doubt and anxiety
Book recommendations
I highly recommend following Bretts Insta page, week days he does a complimentary
meditation session (9am UK time)
Will give you some great insight into what he can offer if you wish to sign
up to his course

On todays show I read from the book - Awaken the giant within - By Tony Robbins
1st of all its a great read in regards to the stories that are told
fascinating story today about how Japan started to deliver quality to the market - a reputation they have built over the past 70 years
With this I also am challenging myself to read in public
Sounds simple but when reading was never your thing (books wise) it's a challenge
Tired out a bit at the end so please forgive but hope you enjoy

175 episodes in and I’ve had enough
I’ve not had enough of adding value to the community , that will always continue on .
I’ve had enough of that Mark Sclaire Sales Training and motivation banner
I have around 90 episodes left of my one year challenge and the keyword going forward is
RAW!!
There are too many things in the sales Industry that frustrate the hell out of me and I want to be more vocal about it
This challenge has been about me being more comfortable on Camera but I think after 175 episodes , I’ve got pretty good and people need to see a different side
This week I put a post out about Companies faking it on LinkedIn with birthday celebrations 🥳 🧁 .... what a load of BS
Build a real company culture , I’m sure if I asked your employees what they thought of the company they wouldn’t have too many nice words to say
So , going forward
No banner
No rehearsals
Just raw insight into the sales world
Message me some topics you want me to speak about and I will see what I can do

Welcome to the show today If you didn't know from my other podcasts i have a huge passion for the movies Rocky and it really upsets me when people say its a boxing movie, it is so much more than that in this episode I break down Rocky 6
1st of all i need to mention something I didn't Rocky 5 and that was the relationship with his son
They had such a bond but his focus went to Tommy and that upset his son, making him hang around with the kids that were bullying him and all round heading down the wrong path . Thankfully Rocky apologizes and makes a mends
ROCKY 6 - lets do this
Sad news that Adrian has passed away, his Rock, he Soulmate, everything you want from a loving wife, he had, now she was gone
There is a Computer generated scenario of Rocky VS the current champ and it gets everyone thinking and Rocky actually wins the game/fight
Rocky has no business thinking of being in the ring, the movie is set in 2006, some 16 years after Rocky 5
Paulie tells him he has nothing to prove but Rocky says he still has something in the locker, some anger, like a beast
An offer is made to fight the champ in exhibition fight but Rocky sees it as more than that
For me this movie is all about being told you can't do something at an older age and defying the odds, and this relates to the older audience. Theyre not inspired by the youth of today, they're inspired by the people their age that say "i am not giving up and I can do this, even at my age"
Below are the first 6 podcasts, you don't have to start from the beginning but it would be cool to go on this journey with me Hope you enjoy

On today's show I got the chance to interview someone who this time last year I knew nothing about but has shared a stage with some names you would love to be associated with. He didn't just share the stage, this people are his business partners over the years.
I met Kane Minkus founder on Industry Rockstars in 2020, I was at the Les Brown live event (still can't believe I got a chance to meet Les Brown
I attended the event with the intention to only see Les Brown, didn't care for anyone else
On came Kane and his wife Alessia and I was blown away
The energy, the enthusiasm but also the composure, as someone who was looking to on stage, I was just taking it all in
with no intention to buy anything at the event, I signed up for a 3 day course , teaching you how to package your business in a way that attracts clients
Unfortunately due to covid that live event was shelved but it went ahead online
The best take away from the online event was defining my method, my process, my structure, that is what I lacked, Kane and Alessia gave me what I needed
Luckily in December we were able to meet in person at the rescheduled live event
If you follow mu journey you will know I am trying to do 2 interviews a month so i can learn and develop, i plucked up the courage to ask Kane for an interview, he agreed and that's what you will be listening to today
Let me know if you have any questions, below is a bio about Kane, his wife/business partner and the company Industry rockstars

Welcome to the show today If you didn't know from my other podcasts i have a huge passion for the movies Rocky and it really upsets me when people say its a boxing movie, it is so much more than that in this episode I break down Rocky 5
I love how they start the Rocky Movies, its the end of the movie before, you get back in the ring, the intensity, even though you know the ended, you're still nervous
it then cuts to the Locker Room when Rocky is in the shower and Asks his trainer to get Adrian , something has happened
Adrian comes and Rocky says he cant stop his hands from shaking, Adrian wants to take him to the doctor in Russia but Rocky just wants 'MICKY' to take him home :(
They get back home and straight away 'the duke' a Don King figure offers Rocky the chance to fight, Adrian says no
Things are really about to get bad though , it turns out Paulie (adrians brother) has given a lawyer full Power of attorney to the estate,
THE MONEY IS GONE< EVERYTHING IS GONE
Rocky thinks he can fight his way out and agrees to fight but Adrian asks him to get a medical report, it's not good news
They end up moving back to where it all started,
Luckily Micky left Rockys son the gym in his will and Rocky opens it up again (not before Micky comes back to give some motivation (im not crying)
The gym has started and Tommy The gunn turns up, he wants Rocky to train him but Rocky doesnt think he is a trainer, Micky was a trainer
He sees Tommy fight and he sees he has talent so takes a leap of faith
Rocky starts to build Tommys career, slowly in the right way but Duke has got his claws in Tommy and says he is just in Rockys shadow and the only way to get out that shadow is to fight Rocky
As this is going on Rocky is losing the bond between him and his son is fading and it takes the loss of Tommy for him to realise what he has lost with his son

Welcome to the Mark Sclaire Podcast
This show is split into 2 parts
1 - Documenting my journey, ups and downs of building a business
2 - Interviewing people who I can learn from and as I am learning, so are you
On today's show, I interviewed Ingo and Lisa, Husband & Wife who are building a business together through COVID
Like many of us we were dealt some tough cards in 2020, we had a choice though, join the pity party or create new opportunities
That is exactly what Ingo and Lisa have done Lisa is a voice coach who is a journey to ensure people realise their potential in speaking and singing
& Ingo through his own challenges knows what it is like to go from the corporate world , become your own boss and struggle with transition.
When I say transition, I am referring to the visibility people lack when it comes to clients seeing you .
You might have a business but if no one knows who you are then you are not going to sell
I grew up in a house where both parents contributed and it's great to see the team effort with Ingo and Lisa, the support they show each other came across in abundance to me.
Myself being a person who needs his voice on a daily basis , I see the value in what Lisa is offering to her clients. I
t's important what you say but it's even more important how you say it
We all have a story to tell but the biggest fear is public speaking - Lisa helps you through this with a step by step process
Want to find out more ?

On a weekly basis I put together a podcast about what I am doing a long the journey of failing my way (in public to success) Me doing this show is quite conflicting because obviously I should be this finished polished article that can show you exactly what you need to do to be successful but like us all, I make mistakes and I'm on this journey to find out just how far I can go I really hope you appreciate that and don't judge me too much because you as well have a journey to go and if you are judging me then you are judging yourself and I would hate to see that happen
On todays show I speak about the good the bad and the ugly parts for my first live event of 2021
Having material ready to put in place at last minute is key, luckily that is something I have managed to completed, I have at least 150 pieces of content that is relevant for businesses. Any customer can be specific or generic as they like and it will be done for them
Event went great, if I were to be harsh on myself, I would say that I didn't lay out the agenda and what the outcome would be from the event, noted for next time
My online program is going to be the toughest project I believe I will ever do but with that will be the most satisfying
I know that once this is done, it is something that can create income for me for the rest of my life and its being done in an ethical way
my focus is still very much on giving value to the client but what is pushing me are the possibilities once complete

Either way, I hope they help because they are what I and others do daily

On todays show I talk about if you really want to annoy me ..... Say this!
Rocky is a boxing movie
You probably think it is just a boxing a movie but it is so much more than that and we need to look before the movie was even made
The story of the actor Sylvester Stallone
Born with a birth defect, he suffered nerve damage to the left side of his face, causing him to speak the way he does
growing up though he knew he wanted to be an actor (almost impossible to be an actor even if you look like Brad Pitt so imagine his chances)
but he knew it was what he wanted to do....that is so important, you have to have a vision of who you want to become
on his journey to becoming an actor, he was offered roles but he knew they were not for him, LESSON, you have to learn to say no
it go so bad with the not getting any roles that he sold his wife's jewelry, he would rather pawn her jewelry than take on a role he didn't believe was for him.
if you think that's bad, he ended up selling his best friend (his dog) to a random person in the streets for 25 dollars. can you imagine doing that ?
Whilst watching an exhibition boxing match, with Muhammad Ali, the Heavy Weight Champion of the World, against Chuck Wepner, he was inspired to write a script about A Boxer who was never given a chance in a fight but ended up knocking down the champ and going the distance
He was so inspired that within 3 days he had written a 90 page script, how many of you get inspired but act on it?
He approached many companies but was rejected
He was on an audition for an acting role and by chance mentioned his script, (never pass up a chance to put something forward, you never know)
He was told you come back at the end of the day and show the script
They loved it and offer 25,000 USD for the script
Sly said thank you but I want to play the main role
They said no because he wouldn't attract an audience as he had no experience and the audience wouldnt be drawn by the name
They wanted the script, offered 50k, 100k 150k, imagine being offered that amount of money, he didnt hae money to feed his dog and now he is being offered 150k
He said no...
the offer went all the way to 360k, he said no
in the end they agreed to give him the part but only pay 35k for the script
He couldn't live with himself if the movie would've been a success and he didn't play the main role
So, you've just been paid 35k, what is the 1st thing you do? rent a place? buy some clothes, buy a car?
He went back to the streets and found the guy he sold the dog to
he offered him 4 times what he sold the dog for, the guy said no
in the end he paid 15000 USD to buy back the dog
The rest is history and with 1 million USD budget, the movie went onto make 200 million at the box office

I am attending a 3 day training course to help me structure my business in a way that leads to success
The event is being run by Kane & Alessia, I signed up to the course after attending the Les Brown Event in February 2020 just before lock down
It is amazing being in a room with a group of like minded people and I am so happy this is happening just before the end of year, its a great way to learn from Kane & Alessia who have set up and been successful in multiple businesses generating hundreds of millions of dollars
todays podcast is an overview from day 3
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstance, Kane had to travel home. his mother has fallen ill and he did the right thing and put family first
We had planned to do a podcast where I would interview him and I am not trying to be incentive when i say its an opportunity missed but it made it clear to me that you snooze you lose,
I might not get that chance again , who knows
Also, I speak about advise Tony Robbins gave to Kane when he asked what he should say to his clients

On today's show I talk about coming to the end of the year and speaking about
The importance of getting started and where that can lead to
My year in numbers
37 podcast
137 sales tip videos (as of the 9th December)
135 quotes (as of 9th December)
5 interviews
7 articles written
build my website
developed frame work
286 day streak on Duolingo and why it didn't work
Some in proud of, some I'm upset about but across the board in pretty happy
What does 2021 look like?
well I'm laying down 2 challenges for myself
every 2 weeks I will interview a new person on the show
every week I will write a linkedin article
I laid down a challenge 7 months ago and I have kept to that, I guess i need the "oh no, cant fail infront of people" to make sure I do it
Is that a bad thing? no, we all need to held accountable
Lets hear your thoughts on this,

On today's show I speak about how my framework for my sales training has changed (again)
it's not so much that its changed its that I have now realized that 1 principle actually covers every principle and that means even more value added
That was a sales pitch, I am talking about Emotional Intelligence and how it is so important, if you want to be a top sales person, you need emotional intelligence
Self awareness
self management
Social Awareness
Relationship management
its very important to me now that when I am doing the training it is highlighted to the sales person every time each part becomes relative
Understanding clients behavior - that's social awareness
What are your weaknesses? - that's self awareness
This has really helped me structure the framework better and I feel now the training is even stronger
my admiration for the UAE, my home and why I am so proud to be celebrating 49 years
Back in February just before lockdown happened I was lucky enough to attend a Les Brown event , definitely a bucket list moment . If you don’t know who Les Brown is, (I’m shocked) he is a motivational speaker that has been inspiring people for 40+ years .
On this video I speak about one of the lessons he taught us and something I feel really explains what #dubai and the #uae is all about
If you live in Dubai you will know what I mean after watching this , if you’re thinking of coming to Dubai this will get you motivated
If you attended the Les Brown event in February would love to hear from you , would be great to connect .

On today's show I speak about a new partnership I have made with a company that supplies project data in the Africa
A lot of us are starting businesses and we don't have the funds to make sure we market the right way, everything has to be correct otherwise its money down the drain
What can we do to solve this problem?
Well how about offer your expertise in a partnership where they have the capability to reach the people you need to get in front of?
Let me give an example
I know the owner of a company that offers project and market data in Africa, the information can help people make informed strategic decisions that can lead to either moving for a new project or deciding against it.
So they offer this to businesses who are looking to do business in the region, the trouble is, the sales people for their clients are not equipped with the right sales skill levels so even though the data is great, it tends to be the data that gets blamed if the company does not generate business.
We decided that it would be a good idea to offer an added value to companies subscription where I will offer a 2 hour sales training session
Why would I do this?
Well its not easy getting in front of the right people is it?
Their clients are the people I want to be meeting so if I can show I offer value 1st and show them what I can do, there is a higher chance they will sign up for additional paid training
My time is only taken up when they sell a subscription and they will do many campaigns across many different platforms
its a win win, they show their clients more value and I get business opportunities

On today's show I speak about the journey of my frame work
In February 2020 I attended what turned out to be one of the last events before lockdown LES BROWN LIVE IN DUBAi
When I heard he was coming to Dubai, I had to buy a ticket - such a great speaker and motivator
it was a 2 day event and along with Les were some other speakers but I didn't think I would give a dam about them, just bring out Les
What I learnt was that I wanted to start my business up again but didn't know how to
That's where Kane and Alesia came in, they're business coaches and to cut a long story short, I signed up to there busyness accelerator course
This was meant to be happening live in Dubai in April but due to lock down it went on line
one thing I learnt and it was the main to part to all was that I didn't have a frame work, yes I wanted to build a business but didn't know about a framework
The reason why I talk about this now is that in December Kane and Alesia are coming to Dubai to complete to 3 day course
I thought I had my framework exactly where i wanted it, turned out I was wrong
time changes your views, perception, perspective
it isn't just the event next month that has alerted me to this its that i will start my filming for my online training very soon and because I am looking at my frame work, its clear to me it needs changing
the message is still the same but the way I will structure it is different
So I want to let you know, if you feel your mind has changed about something you're doing, that's ok, don't get down about it, as long as you're still moving forward, there is nothing wrong.

On today's episode I talk about even if you are successful in your job, it doesn't mean it is safe, i learnt that the hard way
There are steps you need to take to ensure when management have a decision to make, you are emotionally thought about.
Launching a sales training program is tough and time frame is always under estimated, I speak about my perspective with this and how it can help you to overcome challenging times.

On the show today , I have Matthew Geppert
Matt is an old school friend who I still keep in contact with
If you didn't know, I bring people onto my show that I can interview and learn from because they are making a difference in their industries and if you listen to closely you will pick up so great tips that will help you on your journey to success
Matt like myself was a school leaver but didn't stop him, he got his teeth stuck into recruitment and learnt very early on that he could be a success at this.
At the age of 17 he was going into conference rooms and sitting down with CEO's of huge companies but that didn't faze him because he knew his worth and knew he should be there.
A lot of people struggle with this, they belittle themselves because they put the job titles on such a peddle stool that you are either fighting an up hill battle or you never begin because you are
role on a few years and Matt started his own Recruitment company, that's the beauty of recruitment, you can start solo and still have quick wins straight away. The momentum built and before he knew it he has a number of people working for him and a new partner for the nordic recruitment they went into
Matt had a problem though, some might not see this as problem but by the age of the 30 he had reach the levels most people don't reach when they come to retirement age,
At the age of 30, Matt exited from the Nordic side of the business, he could've rested and had a few more Pina coladas but he wanted to push on
continuing in recruitment, even though the company might be smaller, he as a structure in place where he doesn't need to be so hands on and that's what a lot of business owners struggle with, they cant let go of their baby and no one else can do the job they do because they've not let any attempt the job, Luckily Matt has the structure in place and that let him focus of something else
What started out as a conversation with one of his best friends (Daniel Shafron) turned out to be the start of a new business venture
Dan has been involved in property 10+ years, he felt that the auction side of it hadn't progressed since the dawn of time, it needed a tech injection and a way to make the research or the property (legal Pack) cheaper and easier to understand
After Matt spoke with a person he built a relationship with in recruitment, they realized this had legs
With 3 of them + Adam Russell who has been the man who builds the relationships with the auction houses with his expert industry knowledge and experience for 15+ years, they are on a journey to bring the auction houses into the 21st century with Legal packs that can be downloaded online with a fee that is a 5th of the price but doesn't lose any of its quality
Matt will speak about the journey, the opportunity during COVID, working with friends and 3 tips to getting started
Appreciate you listening / watching the show, thank you

My podcast is split into 2 series
1 is about my journey and how I'm failing my way, in public to success
the other is about interviewing people who can give insight and advise into how to be successful as what you are doing
On today's show I interviewed 2 fellow Brits who have decided (like myself) there is no better time to start a new business than when it's a recession
One of the business partners currently owns a recruitment company but has seen a change happen that they have jumped on and executing
With the downturn in the market, many people have lost their jobs, there are not many roles available and that makes for a very competitive market
how do you stand out in a crowd that is saturated with good people that have been let go because some companies just can not afford to keep them?
Well one way is to do a video CV that really showcases what you are about and how you can be of value to your next employer
Parker Sinclair Productions take the time to understand you as a person which leads to creating a short video CV
There is definitely an art to doing this and many people need help, Parker Sinclair have expertise to make sure your video will be eye catching and make sure you come across in a professional way to to your potential new employer
I ask a string of questions and also include my own thoughts on the matter
I really enjoyed the open conversation, its made very clear that its been a tough ride but they have stuck with it and that it was the journey to success is all about
Enjoy the show

Welcome to today's show
If you didn't know I am sales trainers in Dubai helping companies and individuals achieve their goals by developing their sales skills so they can provide for themselves and their families
I like to do this by being hands on with sales people, I am not one to 'TELL' people what they are doing wrong , we work together to create a solution.
A lot of the time though people don't know what it is that they do wrong, so once it has been made clear, we then work on a plan to be better.
Last month I held my 1st live training event in Dubai since COVID, it was based on Advanced Sales Skills, a mixture of different sales experience, different companies, different nationalities. All part of the challenge that I am so happy to have.
We my sales training, I am not one to do a full day training and never speak to them again
One thing that always comes up is that many sales people never listen to their sales calls
How can you improve if you have no idea what you spoken about
Nikhil who attended the class admitted to not listening to his calls and promised he would by recording the call, sending to me and then discussing on a video call .
Watch and listen to the audio as we discuss the phone call
what did he think he said but didn't? what did he regret saying?
It is amazing that so many times we think we said the right thing but cringe when we listen to it
We really delved into parts of the call that were good but also what needs to be improved
He has a call with the client and promised he will record it and discuss again
Tune in next week to find out
On a weekly basis I put together a podcast about what I am doing a long the journey of failing my way (in public to success) Me doing this show is quite conflicting because obviously I should be this finished polished article that can show you exactly what you need to do to be successful but like us all, I make mistakes and i'm on this journey to find out just how far I can go I really hope you appreciate that and don't judge me too much because you as well have a journey to go and if you are judging me then you are judging yourself and I would hate to see that happen

On today's episode I speak about how 'tests' come into your life in all shapes and forms I am reminded of this story but a notification I got on my phone last week On LinkedIn before I set up my company I set up notifications on LinkedIn to alert me of any new jobs So last week I get a notification about 30 jobs that match my criteria This is such a test or your resolve The easy thing is to succumb to the pressures of owning a business to work for someone else but I don't believe in Job security anymore. Please tell me where the security is atm . People have relied too much on their employers and now relying too much on the govt to cover them. I am in no way saying that it is wrong to work at another company, as Gary Vee says, there is nothing wrong with being a number 3 4 5 9 11, if you are happy you are happy but I will add to that and say PLEASE dont rely on others, the only person you can rely on is yourself. If you work at a company, have something on the side, something that if all went wrong tomorrow, you would be ok. I speak further about how 3 job rejections was one of the best things to happen to me Thinking Pens, notepads, websites and business cards were so important Being upfront about leaving my old company before finding a new job Taking a year off after alot of personal problems All this journey leads me to where I am now, failing my way (in public) to success and i am loving it Its very tough but the good out ways the bad

Being in front of people wearing a mask
1 person not speaking any English
range of sales experience with the different attendees (20 years to 20 minutes)
Sales for non sales people
Strengthen in knowledge on some parts of my presentation and the struggle with that

On today's show I give 3 tips about what you must be aware of and do before presenting, speaking or understanding the clients needs
along with this i mention about what I learnt from my 1st live event since covid, my motto is ABL always be learning and there were definitely somethings i needed to improve on
I see it so often with sales people, they're not doing the following and this can really confuse the client along with them feeling they're being controlled
1st - you are not asking permission , it might sound simple but getting permission to confirm its ok to proceed goes along way, the client feels like they have a choice and are being respected
2nd - you have no agenda laid out - you attend a meeting or make a call and the client has no idea what is going on because you havent made it clear what is about to take place
3rd - you are not making the objective clear, why are you calling? why are you meeting the person, make this clear and everyone will then be on the same
Thank you for taking the time to listen & watch, you have no idea how much I appreciate it

On today's show I give 3 tips to help you become a better sales person
There have been a lot of job cuts going on but along with this, non sales people may have absorbed more of a sales role
Do you have to be natural closer to sell and become a top sales person?>
I don;t think so, you have a talent that can be developed
1st tip is to show you care
2nd tip is to become a good listener
3rd tip is to be a good problem solver
this is a great foundation to work from and all things you can start to work on straight away or already realise you have these skills and traits and there is nothing to worry about

Thank you for listening to todays show
On a daily basis i put out content on instagram @marksclairetraining where I do I do MAX 1 minute sales tip videos
The subject today was 3 things you need to understand as a sales broker, it was too much value to not do a longer length discussion about it so i thought I would do a podcast
Topic follows in order
What is your clients why?
Its all about timing
no such thing as a silly offer
If you do not understand why your client wants to sell, you really have no idea how to handle the process
Do they need the money to buy something else?
are they going through personal matters?
how quick do they need the money?
are they motivated sellers?
do they know something you dont?
This then moves me onto my 2nd point
life is all about timing
an offer they told you to get lost with last year all of a sudden is the amount they need so never think an offer is too silly
understand why and it answers all
Thank you again for watching and listening
Have a great day
Hi everyone, thank you for joining today's show
Over the last few months I have been very intrigued to know how companies/leaders/management are communicating with their employees in a way that keeps them motivated and energized due to people working from home
That led me to have a discussion with a friend who then mentioned a mutual friend who works at a business that can have a solution to this problem
The company is called Sales Screen and they specialize in Gamification
This is keeping teams in contact, heavy competition, allows management to communicate in a way where they understand challenges being faced and all the whilst having fun
listen to podcast as I ask Jason some questions about how it helps business and even better he explains how it isn't just recognizing the top earners, it also measures other key parts that an employee can contribute
Hi everyone, thank you for tuning in
before we get started today, I want you to put your
Consumer hat on for just a moment
You have made a inquiry with a company, or you have an existing account
they've Promised the world - nothing delivered
Complete lack of structure
No idea what is going on
How has that made you feel about the service you were being supplied ?
Well its the same way your clients feel with service your company provides
Im talking about customer journey and the lack of it but also confusion about it within your busines
if I asked a Sales team if 10 people,
what happens when a lead comes in, what journey does it go on
i would get different answers from every body
There is a difference between this and customer experience
Customer journey is defined touch points
Customer experience is how the client feels
To let you know how important this is aswell,
86% of customers are willing to spend more money for a product for a great customer experience
Where customer journey happens
Lead stage
CRM systems
Renewal stage
Sign up stage
Helps sales people and account managers focus on what they're their to do - sell
Cant the same for all accounts either
1st years
Key accounts
Customer success - on boarding - training - inquires
Define who plays a role at certain points on teh certain
Customer support, account managers, marketing (automated system)
A lot of companies if they do ever get round to attempting a customer journey, its company focused, what would this mean for our business, but you need to flip it and ask yourself, in what way will making this contact benefit our client
3rd - its about the 1st 6 months, not the last , that is what your client will remember
Thank you for watching
On the show today I have Nick Preston who is the CO-CEO of Musclefood , Musclefood is one of the leading Online offline food delivery services in the UK.
The food industry is without a doubt the hardest industry in the world, you pretty much get 1 chance with your consumer to get it right or they are gone for good.
With what is happening in the world at the moment and with people panic buying just in case the unthinkable happens, Musclefood has had to cope with a challenge that not many companies are facing, the high demand for food supply but also because of the restrictions, they have to cope with the logistics and keeping to the high level of customer service they want to deliver
Musclefood boomed when it started in 2013, they phenomenal growth within a 4 years they grew from 0 to 44 million GBP in revenue - driven by early adaption to facebook marketing. With its growth it started to fade away in 2018 through to 2019 and a change in management was needed.
Nick stepped up to the plate and I like to compare this scenario to the Chelsea FC champions League winning side of 2012 where a new manager came in and made changes too quickly, this lead to a change happening and a new manager being brought in, With motivation given to the team and the fact the managing was willing to graft just as much as the next person and was relatable to the team, Chelsea ended up winning the FA Cup and Champions League in the same.
Even before COVID hit, Nick and the team put a strategy together about what would happen when COVID hit the UK shores, they were prepared and because of that they have seen growth like no other.
Whats interesting about Nick's approach is that he doesn't want to rest on the fact growth has happened because of COVID, he wants growth to happen with the right investment in technology and

If you are in the sales industry and you are not excelling in regards to earning commission but also rising up the ranks, my framework WILL help to understand why this is happening and most importantly how to take action and make sure you stand out in a crowd full of average

My mission and passion is to help enough people to develop their skills so 2 outcomes happen
1 - you will be able to provide for yourself and your family
2 - The sales industry will be restored to its former glory because it will be filled with professionals that are providing the right service

This is about the day to day life of someone who used to carry an ego and wouldn't let anyone else see his failures
But I want people to know that the journey we are all on is going to be tough, that's what makes it so worth while
I will be logging my day to day mishaps and what I am learning whilst growing my Sales Training and motivation business
Enjoy the mess ups, at least someone should get a laugh from some of stupid things I do
Hi everyone, thank you for tuning in - this will be 1st of many interviews that I do with people that I think will help you, mentally and physically within your work and personal life. On this video is one of my best friends James Rubin who is the CEO of a leading Waste Management Company in the UK His journey is pretty crazy - from never living up to the high expectations from school , to picking up a book that changed his whole life and set him on this journey and mission to have an industry that is customer focused and to be environmentally friendly. Not everyone would see waste management as exciting but James knows his WHY and it helps him everyday to use this vehicle to change the world and make an impact James has been great at setting up a structure within his business where after close to 8 years of work 12-15 hours a day has been able to step back and allow the machine to run. That is so important because it now allows him to focus on going to the next level Parts of his journey have had supposed failures but James has taken on these challenges and now actually grown the business. You do not learn from success, you learn from failures , that is what makes you stronger.
James mentioned a number of books that has helped him to grow
Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki
Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill
E- Myth - Michael Gerber
Chris Howard course - leaders course
Victor Frankel - man search for meaning
Simon Sinek - starting from why
I asked James for 5 tips that will help to motivate and inspire
1- Have Gratitude
2- How you speak to yourself internally
3- Meditation
4- practicing non judgement with other people but also the situation you are in
5- We are here to serve others within business
Hope you enjoy the video, please comment and let me know your thoughts
