Rick Crawley and Matthew Paul continue their talk with IndyCar builder and designer Lynn Reid. In this segment Lynn talks about some more of the drivers he's worked with including Mike Hiss. Mike Hiss was the 1972 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year.
Lynn also shares his thoughts on Mario Andretti.
We wrap it up with a brief discussion on the Bettenhausen family who we believe has the longest tenure of a racing family at IMS without a win.

In our final segment with Lynn Reid, he talks about one of his favorite stories concerning the Penske team.
He also talks a bit about the IndyCar series today. He also answers the question "Did you want to be a driver?"
We then wrap it up with Lynn showing his appreciation for his hometown, Logansport, Indiana.

Rick's assignment is to do some more research on the "Startix" and have it ready for next week...

Lynn Talks about tire testing with AJ Foyt, a great story about a race at the Continental Divide Raceway in Colorado, and a hilarious account about Roger Penske.
Lynn also recalls his time driver with Jim Malloy who unfortunately lost his life in a tragic accident during practice for the 1972 Indy 500

In this week's installment, Matthew Paul and Rick Crawley continue their conversation with former IndyCar builder/designer and Logansport native, Lynn Reid.
Lynn talks about his relationship with several of the drivers he's worked with including Paul Newman during the filming of the movie "Winning".
Lynn also recounts what racing like during this time as the engines moved from the front of the car to the rear, as well wings being introduced to the cars.

Lynn Reid was an IndyCar builder and designer through the late 60's and 1970's.
He's worked with some the legendary names in racing: Rutherford, Foyt, McElreath, Bettenhausen, etc.
As we near the 100th running of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, we're honored to give a slice of history with some solid ties to Logansport!
