In the heart of Junee, nestled between Sydney and Melbourne, lies the Monte Cristo Homestead – a place that has earned the reputation of being Australia’s most haunted house.
The history of this eerie residence dates back to 1885 when Christopher William Crawley, a wealthy farmer and founder of Junee, built the homestead for his family. Despite the initial struggles, Crawley’s fortune changed when the Great Southern Railway Line opened in 1878, and he established a successful hotel along the rail line.
However, the Crawley family’s story took a dark turn following Christopher’s death in 1910. His wife, Elizabeth, became a recluse, confining herself to the attic chapel for the next 23 years.
After the last Crawley left in 1948, the house fell into disrepair until Reginald and Olivia Ryan purchased it in 1963, transforming it into a doll museum. It was then that the true extent of the homestead’s haunting became apparent.
The Ryans reported numerous supernatural occurrences, including ghostly lights, the inexplicable deaths of their animals, and the presence of at least ten ghosts.
Among these spirits are Christopher and Elizabeth Crawley, a pregnant maid who jumped to her death from the balcony, Harold – a disabled boy chained in the coach room, Morris – a stable boy who died in a fire, Ethel – an infant who died on the stairs, and Jack Simpson – a caretaker shot to death on the porch in 1960.
Visitors to the Monte Cristo Homestead have experienced a range of paranormal phenomena, from feeling icy hands on the stairs to hearing the screams of the deceased. The bloodstains of the pregnant maid are said to reappear on the steps, and children become inexplicably agitated when entering certain areas of the house.

The Borley Rectory located outside of a small village near Suffolk is said to be one of the most haunted houses in Great Britain. Built in 1859 by George Hearst, the Mackay Mansion allows people to step back in time into an authentic Victorian era mansion. It is one of the few remaining original structures that survived both the major fires. It also is one of the few building with original furniture, carpet, wall paper, chandeliers, and much more!
George Hearst gained his family fortune from the corresponding mine & sold the property in 1871 to John Mackay, an Irish immigrant. Shortly after, John Mackay hit the Bonanza Strike, one of the largest silver strikes in world history. Mackay split the profits with his three partners: James Fair, James Flood, and William O'Brien. They became known as "The Big Four" or "The Silver Kings" of Virginia City. John Mackay, James Fair, James Flood, and William O'Brien, conducted all their mining business inside the Mackay Mansion mining office, while Mr. Mackay lived with his family in the rest of the building.
This historic mansion is also a well known haunted location. The Mackay Mansion has been featured on the Ghost Adventures and the Dead Files. Famous actor Johnny Depp also had his first paranormal experience at the mansion. Some paranormal activity you might experience during your visit includes our two little girls running on the staircase, our maid Harriet in the parlor, our Shadow Man upstairs, and more.

December 29th 1972 Eastern Airlines flight starts like any other normal flight, but shortly before landing events would take place that caused the plane to crash in the Florida Everglades. Of the 176 souls onboard the plane only 73 survived the crash. Parts from the plane were reused on other planes, and shortly after these planes started having paranormal experiences.

The Banff Hotel is nestled high in the Canadian Rockies. It was originally built in 1862 as a 100 room hotel. Over the years the hotel has seen many changes including completing removing the original hotel from the location. The hotel even closed for 3 years during WW2. This hotel now boasts over 700 rooms, 12 restaurants, and many other amenities. This hotel is so nice that it is reported that some people have never left the hotel. Ghostly apparitions have been reported in the hallways and in some of the rooms. Even ghosts of horses have been reported.

What started out as a hotel built by Abraham Curry would eventually become the first state prison in the state of Nevada. Nevada State Prison (NSP), is located in Carson City, Nevada. The prison was in continuous operation from its establishment in 1862 until its closure in 2012, a period of 150 years. During this time many inmates met there demise at the hands of skilled executioners; however, many more were murdered by fellow inmates. This location boasts an amazing amount of buildings which would be too many for us to investigate in just one night. Come join us as we relive our experiences in this haunted location.

This location holds a special place in our hearts as it is one of the first places we investigated as a team. The location started serving as a prison on July 2 1871, even before Montana had become a state.
Warden Frank Conley (1890-1921) instituted extensive inmate labor projects including construction of the existing prison buildings and walls, as well as various state and community projects like road building, logging and ranching.
The Old Prison wall, built by convict labor in 1893, resembles a castle with its locally quarried granite walls and towers. The brick cellblock was constructed in 1912.
Historically plagued with overcrowding, insufficient funds and antiquated facilities, the prison erupted in violence in April 1959 during which Deputy Warden Ted Rothe was killed and 26 staff and inmates were taken hostage. After 36 terrifying hours, 200 National Guardsmen and Highway Patrol officers quelled the uprising that was the turning point in Montana corrections operations. Source

This monster has been described as being any where from 6 to 90 feet long, covered in fur, covered in slimy skin, has horns, with the face of an alligator or fox or even walrus. Virginia City is one of those locations that every paranormal investigators wants to go visit, as it is probably one of the most haunted towns in the west. The Great Saltair has had a tumultuous past. The first iteration burned down completed to the water. The second iteration after being abandoned due to it going out of business also burned to the ground. The third iteration which still stands actually flooded before it opened, and had to be renovated. There have been several bodies that have been found dumped in the area as well. Telling of ghost stories at Christmas time has been a tradition since the Victorian era in England; however, while Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" was an instance success in the states. The tradition never truly caught on even though songs mention the tradition. Spirit photography is the act of taking pictures, and having spirits / ghosts appear in your images. One man claimed that he could do this without fail, and produced many pictures of people posing for a picture and having a deceased loved one in the picture. This worked out great for him until one day, he took a picture of a local doctor, when he reviewed the picture he noticed the gentlemen who was supposed to be a ghost in the picture. That person was very much alive. Even P. T. Barnum got involved proving the pictures to be fraudulent. The man was even tried for fraud, but was acquitted of the charges. Listen and decide if he was a fraud or real.
Thoughtography is the ability to use one's mind to imprint images onto photographic paper. A man from Chicago created thousands of these images in the course of three years. All of these images were created under the careful eye of witnesses trying to debunk him, and a research doctor conducting the experiments. The one big catch was the man had to be intoxicated to produce the images. Can this be real? You be the judge.

What started out as open pit limestone mines for the ancient city of Lutetia has now become a vast maze of almost 200 miles of tunnels and contains between 6 and 7 million bodies. Fort Douglas was originally built to help protect the overland mail routes during the civil war, and the Fort was eventually closed in 1965. Fueled by fear and possibly greed 18 people were put to death for being a witch, and another 200 where in prison. The Stanley Hotel has been the inspiration for one of the most terrifying horror movies of all time, or at least for one of our poor hosts. The hotel was built as a beautiful luxury resort nestled in the Rocky Mountains. What makes this hotel so haunted? Was it a wild rough and tumble place with lots of death and heart ache? Nope. Was it a place that was fraught with disease? Nope. It is more likely that this place is haunted because of love. The love for a building, the people inside of it, and the beautiful countryside. While maybe not the sensational experiences that leads a lot of places to be haunted, don't let that fool you. The hotel is so haunted that Stephen King spent a single night in the hotel, and that was enough to inspire him to write the book The Shining.

Camp Floyd was created to quell the feared "Great Mormon Uprising", which never came. Instead the camp brought much needed supplies and trade to an area that was suffering from intense drought. Camp Floyd was a hard place to live being isolated by some 40+ miles from Salt Lake City, there wasn't much for the soldiers to do. Death became an unfortunate way of life as suicide, dysentery, and other diseases plague the military camp.

The peeps talk about their most recent investigation at the old Portland Cement Company cement works, known today as the Fear Factory. The cement works was originally built in the 1890, and was almost completely destroyed by a fire. The cement works were a dangerous place to work, and many people were killed or mangled by the machinery. Even the next door railway tracks have seen their fair share of death, including one unfortunate soul this year.
The team was invited out to the cement factory with our friends Broken Wings Paranormal. The investigation was book ended by time spent in the catacombs. The team experienced a dark entity enter the area, had the stairs get hit, and even picked up an explicit EVP.
