Profession Bio (provided by Jed):
"I am currently studying a bachelor of secondary education at Latrobe University Bendigo, majoring in Physical Education & also Health Education, whilst also working as a fully qualified personal trainer after completing my cert III & IV in fitness, expressing my extreme passion towards educating and improving the lives of others. Having developed an enormous amount of passion relating all things health, fitness and nutrition, working as a personal trainer has allowed me to express this passion and work towards improving the lives of others. I am currently also working as a student ambassador & part of the School partnerships program for Latrobe University working and facilitating with multiple schools across Bendigo.
Having always enjoyed sport, fitness and health I was lucky enough to be employed by AFL Central Victoria. This Job in which I am currently still employed within was the reason in which I developed the passion to pursue a career as a teacher, as I became aware of how much I loved working with kids and educating them on something that I was so passionate about myself.
Growing up as a child it became apparent from an early age that I suffered from anxiety and this gradually progressed overtime. As the onset of adolescent initiated this anxiety became far worse and was something that was beginning to have an enormous impact on my life. This eventually lead to some extremely difficulty times, with hurdles along the way that at times have felt as if there was no way of overcoming, leading to some extremely dark days. I went through days where getting out of bed was a challenge, where socializing with others was a challenge and the most minor of things were an enormous amount of stress to me, but I was one of the lucky ones, I was extremely lucky to have a network of family and friends to help me get to where I am today. The struggles in which I have faced an overcome have lead me to pursue a passion towards helping others through similar difficult times, as there is always a light at the end of a tunnel for each and every one of us, it is just sometimes hard to see.
I have recently joined with Headspace Bendigo as part of the Youth Reference Group, which is a truly incredible team of like-minded individuals who are on the same path as me; that is to help, educate and ultimately inspire others. As a team we will be working towards raising awareness and working towards improving mental health for the youth of Bendigo. Moving forward, I am ultimately pursuing and doing everything I can to improve the lives of others through mental health, fitness and nutrition, by providing a face to the youth of Bendigo and working towards making this nation a better place for all."

Meet Jeff Etienne, he is a sports referee for five sports who lives in Boston, United States. In this episode, Jeff shares his story of being diagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety and how he's been taking anti-depressants for four years.
His biggest turnings points are when he lost his job and couldn't find work for many years, his father passing away and the end of a long-term relationship. He has been dealing with racism all his life and was suicidal from an early age.
As you can probably tell from the description, this was another heavy/emotional episode. There is a silence in the middle where Jeff and I cry and for the purpose of vulnerability, I decided to leave this part in to show the raw audio. Thank you Jeff so much for being open and honest with your story. I am honored to be sharing this episode and I hope you guys enjoy listening to it. Don't forget to connect with Jeff and listen to his podcast as well.

Meet Angie Yu, she is an investment consulting analyst who lives in Vancouver, Canada.
In this episode, Angie shares her honest story of dealing with the death of her friend in 2017 who was a part of her life at a significant time. He took his own life and this triggered the resurface of some childhood memories.
We also talk about the end of her long-term relationship in 2019 and realizing that all of these factors may have led to the diagnosis of depression in 2020, a condition she kept repressing but was with her for longer than she thought.
I personally loved reading Angie's articles on her Medium page and she is also the co-host of the podcast "Shit We Don't Tell Mom". Links down below. Thank you Angie for being so open and vulnerable about your story. This was another emotional one and we cry/sniffle throughout the episode. I loved every moment of this conversation and I hope you guys enjoy listening to the episode!

Today, I'm sharing an individual episode talking all about self-love and what it means to me.
To me, self-love means knowing my values, surrounding myself with people who feed my soul, treating my body and mind well with movement and taking small steps everyday to be a better version of myself. I share a quote in this episode that left a deep footprint in my heart back in 2018 and I want to share with you all.
"You are the value
In life, you will have moments when you wonder if you're good enough for a job, another person, or something else that you really want. When you appraise the importance of your desire as being more valuable than yourself, then you are creating an imbalance in your self-perception. You place the significance on the thing that is outside of yourself as opposed to who you are within yourself. The true question is whether the job, the relationship, or thing is good enough for you. Does it align with the vision you have for yourself and your life? Is it worthy of your time and energy? Will it better you? Will it fulfill you? Does it deserve you?" - Dr. Gadich
Towards the end of the episode, I give you guys a small action step you could take. Please feel free to reach out and share what you came up with. I would love to hear!
