After making its debut last Fall, The Prospector Digest returns to The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) as an alternate episode to season 13 of The Prospector Podcast!
We head back to the Education Building to host discussions revolving around UTEP’s Fast Track program, the implications of money games in collegiate sports, and finally, we speak to associate athletic director of fan engagement and digital strategy, Jon Washington, over the state of free athletic tickets open to students. Washington speaks on how marketing is adapting to an evolving digital landscape, and teases changes to the student ticketing process.

After delaying the inevitable with a Spin-Off series, The Prospector Podcast makes its way back into UTEP Student Media and Publications with its 13th season!
Since we’ve reached lucky number 13, our staff made sure to make this season premiere, the most special in all of Texas. We start by first, talking about the Miners’ Football, Volleyball, and Soccer season. To add a cherry on top, a new staff reporter and layout editor offer tips for those nervous about the new school year.
Finally, sports editor Kristian Hernandez, multimedia editor Sebastian Perez-Navarro, and EIC Evelyn Palma, sit down to host UTEP President Heather Wilson. She discusses the possibility of a law school at UTEP, the return of a Mining Program, and the university’s AI curriculum, which even includes a tease about possible changes for campus parking coming next Fall.

Natalie Colegrove is a junior at Cupertino High School and a National Euphonium player. In Natalie's first three years of performing, she was selected as the principal euphonium player for the 2017 California Junior High All-State Honor Band. In 2018 she was accepted into the California All-State Honor Band and ranked as one of the top high school euphonium players in California. Most recently, Natalie has been accepted into the Honor Band of America, the most prestigious honor band in the nation. This past summer, Natalie placed second in the student division of the International Euphonium and Tuba Festival’s solo competition. Natalie also has a band memes account called euphieslife which has 33,000 followers and she runs a business selling music apparel.
