Andrew's back, and today we're talking about the Demon. Demon is a reference Andrew has always had for the Mental Illness that tries to take over his rational mind. Trying to pull the strings on his thoughts and actions. He's had a revelation recently that he'd like to share with you today.

I went into this adventure with her with my own preconceptions about what eating disorders are and must be like. I now know how wrong I was. It's been a long time since his first appearance, and a great deal of change has happened in that time for him. He's gained some new perspectives that I am extremely pleased he is sharing with you all, and myself, today.

I'm finally back with another episode of The Darkest Corner. This time we try to tackle a tough subject for so many people; Addiction. We discuss how addiction can affect a person, and how Mental Illness ties into addiction is so many ways. I also took our weekly submission today, where we talk about being a friend of someone who suffers from mental illness, one whom does not seek the help they desperately need.
Amanda takes the helm to discuss sexual assault, and the hardships this can cause a person.

Welcome to The Darkest Corner podcast, a safe place. Darkest Corner is a talk show centered around living with mental illness; Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders, ADD/ADHD, and more. It's host is me, Andrew Risenhoover, and I have dealt with mental illness for many years. The idea behind this show is to discuss what it's like to live every day with the weight of mental illness on your shoulders, and to hopefully help others deal with their own by offering advice, and help, where ever we can. The state of this country in its resources given to those of us suffering with mental illness is deplorable, so any help we can find the better. I have found the greatest solace from those whom also deal with mental illness regularly. I hope to bring that to you here.
