The time has come to say goodbye–well and hello. This is the final episode of the Climate Stew podcast, but not the end of our relationship. I am heading over to the Citizens Climate Lobby to create the Citizens Climate Show. But before that we have this final episode–our biggest ever. I interview Dr. Jennifer O'Brien, one of the most creative teachers I have ever met and an expert on all things pop culture. We talk about teaching in a time of climate change, oh, and pop culture.
We also hear from Yuri Ivanovitich Petrov with a report about meat on a warming planet–soooo much meat. AND we finally hear directly from Joe G, the man I always thank at the end of ever single episode. Elizabeth Jeremiah and Marvin Bloom come face to face for an audio celebrity death match. Oh, and we end with a Citizens Climate Puzzler and a chance for you to share your solutions to a dilemma that comes up at a party. Enjoy this final episode and look out for some surprises.

We explore these many migrations through the personal story of Tyler Connoley, an openly gay minister in the United Church of Christ. Tyler speaks passionately and personally about immigration. Up until very recently he has lived in the American Southwest, right on the front-lines of the US immigration battle grounds. Through the interview he had with Climate Stew host, Peterson Toscano, Tyler takes us all over the world as he makes connections with faith communities, LGBTQ issues, World War II, and climate justice in the US and Italy.

Joseph and the amazing climate adaption plan?
Routinely on this program we look at faith and climate change. Some of the largest organizations in the world are religious, so potentially the biggest players when it comes to climate action. Climate Stew crew member Leah Schade joins us again to talk about a controversial Bible passage that likely has never been seen through a climate change lens before. Mark 3 verses 28-30 talks about an unforgivable sin–blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Leah looks at the Hebrew word for spirit–breath/air to consider our climate crisis and what happens when our pollution goes too far to the point of no return.
Marvin Bloom also weighs in on this Bible theme with his own climate change reading of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. There was a famine and a successful adaptation plan. Pharaoh sure liked it, but was it a just plan? And from our friends at Yale Climate Connections, we hear about a climate change conversion from a meteorologist who went from climate skeptic to climate action figure.

Episode 15 of Climate Stew looks at rail travel. Ah the romance of the train and the many hassles too. Peterson recently completed a cross-country train tour on Amtrak got backed up a lot because of freight traffic, particularly by crude oil tankers. More time on a passenger train though means more time to connect with others. He shares an interview with singer/songwriter Poeina Suddarth. We also include Climate Stew's first ever live concert featuring Poeina's new song, Miracle. What will train travel look like in the future? Peterson: Having just passed the 10 episode mark, we decided to change things up fjust or this episode. The Climate Stew team loves good music and we include lots of great tracks that we play between segments. Sadly you only get to hear short excerpts of these songs. News: In times of natural disasters communities often come together and find strength in numbers. Turns out people are not the only ones joining forces as the planet warms. Tornados, traditionally solo extreme weather artists, have increasingly begun to swarm in groups.
