I am delighted to be joined again by the fanstatic actor and filmmaker, Clayne Crawford. He joins me to chat about his latest films - The Killing of Two Lovers, The Integrity of Joseph Chambers, Baytown Outlaws and more. We also discuss his fantastic project called the Bloody Seahorse Film Experience, where he aims to help independent film makers in an industry where support for them is lacking. It also proves a fantastic way for fans to contribute via NFTs to a film and have their names in credits, even appearing in the film or having lines, depending on what you choose. He also aims to help nurture new ideas, scripts etc. a fantastic venture which is sure to have huge success.

I talk with Sean Cribbin, survivor of serial killer Bruce McArthur, and Sean’s partner Steve Sauder, who also provided the music score for the documentary.
Was I Next? The Sean Cribbin Story, a multiple-award winning documentary from iCogitate Productions, tells the story of Sean Cribbin, a gay man who lived through a shocking brush with death at the hands of Canada’s most brutal serial killer, Bruce McArthur. After years of communicating via online dating apps, in July of 2017 Sean agreed to meet McArthur, but once they were at his apartment, McArthur gave Sean a larger than normal dose of GHB, a known date-rape drug, which made him black out.
McArthur photographed Sean’s unconscious body in a number of ritualized poses, as he had done before with his 8 other victims before killing them, dismembering them, and hiding the remains in large planters. This time, however, McArthur’s roommate unexpectedly returned home, having taken the afternoon off work, unknowingly saving Sean’s life. After regaining consciousness, confused and entirely unaware of how closely he had come to dying, Sean returned home and chalked the encounter up to a bad date.
Seven months later, in January of 2018, in the days after McArthur was arrested for 2 of the 8 murders he would eventually be charged with, the Toronto Police contacted Sean. They had found the photographs of his unconscious form on McArthur's computer, and asked him to come in for an interview. It is at this interview that he learned the truth about what happened at the hands of a serial killer now charged with multiple counts of murder, of the remarkable coincidences which saved his life, and just how close he had come to his own end.
While the extraordinary events above serve as the catalyst for what follows, they are only the starting point for the documentary (in fact, the filmmakers made the conscious decision to avoid saying the killer's name whenever possible in the film), which tells a remarkable tale of trauma, survivor's guilt, cyber-bullying, victim-blaming and eventually healing.

I sit down with Matt Hookings of Camelot Films, who joined me to talk about his new film “Prizefighter”, which tells the fascinating story of boxer Jem Belcher, from the 17th Century. The making of this film has been monumental and very reminiscent of the story behind Rocky, with the hurdles Matt overcame to bring this story to life. The film also stars Russell Crowe, Ray Winstone, Jodhi May and Julian Glover who are but some of the long list of stellar actors in the film.

Drew Waters is an actor whose face may be familiar as he has appeared in many of the top shows over the last 12 years or so. From roles in True Detective and Breaking Bad to Bones, all three of the NCIS brands (NCIS, NCIS LA and NCIS New Orleans). Drew is as accomplished behind the camera as he is front, having also directed and produced his own films.

Breakout musician, Aneesa Sheikh just released her latest new "New Normal" on September 18th. The song reflects on Aneesa's very close relationship with her father who suddenly suffered from two strokes in her early teens. The dynamics after the experience changed her life and she found herself adapting to a "new normal" way of living. Being a teen became more of a struggle for Aneesa as the roles shifted and she became the adult and caretaker. The experience brought on an emotional weight as she saw her father in a vulnerable state daily. She reflects on this universal message through her lyrics which empathizes with everyone who is experiencing a "new normal" due to the pandemic which has altered daily routines and has impacted relationships with loved ones similar to her relationship to her ailing father. I had the pleasure of talking to this amazing young lady who is such an inspiration, having set up a foundation to use music as a way of communucation with those in need and over the lockdown had arranged for musicicans to play to hospitals across the US.

Rose Bianco is a classically trained actress who started out on the stage. Moving to San Francisco from Chicago, she became involved with Les Nicolettes feminist comedy theatre troupe. It was in San Francisco where she went to the comedy club, and the one and only Robin Williams stopped in and did a one hour set! Rose continued her career on stage before taking a break to raise a family and has returned, appearing in many movies and tv series. Matt Lewis is an extremely accomplished actor of both stage and screen as well as teaches the craft. He has appeared in many top shows, such as Dynasty, Ozark and the hit show taking the world by storm - Cobra Kai. Soundtrack to Sixteen is a new British coming of age film, but rather than your typical Hollywood heir of heiress, it focusses on two main characters growing up in London in the Noughties. However, it could be any era as I watched the film and felt a connection to one of the main characters, in how things were for me at that age, and the experiences I had. It is a sweet and funny film, adding lots of humour and brilliant writing, expertly carried out by the actors.

Once in a while you talk with someone truly inspirational. Will Chesney is one of those. Will served 13 years in the US Navy, 11 of which as a Navy SEAL. He has seen combat around the globe including 4 tours of Afghanistan. The book No Ordinary Dog tells of Will, but more importantly, of Cairo the SEAL dog. Cairo was much more than a service dog. He was a beloved member of the SEAL teams and Will was his dad. Cairo is most famously known for his heroic role in the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, but he did so much more, including going back on active service after being shot and saving Will's life in retirement, when Will was going through an extremely tough time through injury, both physical and mental. An amazing story of a dog who was, quite simply, No Ordinary Dog.

Actor, singer and writer, Max Talisman is set to make his directorial debut in his upcoming romantic comedy, THINGS LIKE THIS. The film stars Charlie Tahan (Netflix’s “Ozark”), Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT) and Miles Tagtmeyer (DISNEY DESCENDANTS: SCHOOL OF SECRETS), and tells a story of two guys who fall in love and while everything seems to align for them to be together, they begin to question fate as they encounter an obstacle.
Growing up in Washington DC, Max started performing in 3rd grade. He participated in musical theatre, including productions at the Musical Theatre Center (MTC), one of the leading performing arts education organizations for young people in the Washington DC area. It was the moment when he played the 2nd lead role in the through-composed musical, “Caroline, or Change” that he felt theatre was his calling.
When his senior year of high school began, Max made the courageous move to NYC to follow his passion for theatre. He joined the Broadway Artists Alliance, a professional training academy for promising young musical theatre performers right in the heart of New York City. After living in the big apple for 5 years, he decided to make his way to Hollywood, California. He’s appeared in The Orchard’s SUPER DARK TIMES, TBS’ “Search Party” and NBC’s “The Blacklist”.
Overcoming Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD) and anxiety, this rising star doesn’t let these challenges prevent him from enjoying his life. He has a keen love for sports and when he’s not watching games on TV or at stadiums, he keeps up with the standings/scores on teams such as the LA Lakers, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles. He is also an avid tennis and ping pong player, crediting Serena Williams as his role model.
Consumed by wanderlust with a curiosity for cultures, Max has traveled all around the world from Argentina to Zimbabwe, Austria, Germany, Italy, England, Iceland, Greece, Africa and Costa Rica.
With a life of travel, art, and hobbies, Max hopes to incorporate all his current and future life experiences in all he does. He hopes to be a role model for the LGBTQ community and break stereotypical barriers/roles in Hollywood.d

Breakout star Olivia Dudek makes her film debut as the leading lady/title character in the upcoming Rafael Agustin-written (“Jane the Virgin”) drama ANA, which premieres nationwide theatrically in early 2020. From Amigo Pictures and directed by José Rojas (LAS BANDIDAS), ANA tells the story of a young Latinx woman, who is part of a tight-knit immigrant community, whose mother is hospitalized and ANA needs to go to extreme lengths to help pay for her hospital stay. The drama, scripted by and co-starring Rafael Agustin (“Jane the Virgin”) also stars Rocío López (“Vida,” “Insecure”), Silvia Kal (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, JERSEY BOYS) and Esther Moon (“Transparent”). Olivia is a highly accomplished ballerina who studied dance professionally at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York and spent years working successfully in national commercials including a Super Bowl spot for Budweiser and a campaign for Verizon among many other major brands. Dudek came to LA after a successful stint in New York working in theater and joined Playhouse West upon her arrival in Los Angeles to work with seasoned pros in the industry and make her mark. Actress, producer, director and heroine of the modern-day working woman, Armida Lopez, is set to star in the action, sci-fi thriller BOSS LEVEL, alongside Frank Grillo, Academy Award-winner Mel Gibson and Academy Award-nominee Naomi Watts. The time-loop thriller, written and directed by Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smoking Aces) follows a retired U.S. Army Special Forces veteran (portrayed by Frank Grillo) trapped in a never-ending loop, resulting in him dying every day. In order to stop his endless suffering, he must figure out who is responsible.
Born in El Salvador, Armida and her family fled the country’s civil war when she was 8 years old. Her family came to the U.S. and settled in Sacramento, CA with the hopes of living the “American Dream.” In many ways, she grew up a model student—good grades and interested in the arts. Coming from humble beginnings, Armida felt the need to be financially savvy by finding ways to participate in extracurricular activities that didn’t require her struggling family to spend any money. She would look for free classes/workshops in school that developed her passions in dancing and choir. It was in high school when she caught the acting bug, when she would perform in the school’s plays.
A true hustler, Armida intended to make her dream of acting a reality. Taking jobs as a barista, waitress, makeup artist and ultimately interning for KCRA – TV and the Daniel Hoff Talent Agency, gave her not only insider tools to make it in the industry but a large dose of humility and determination. Her never ending drive, passion and job dismissal led her to pick up and move to LA which led her to step foot into a casting agency and begin her work as an extra. She set goals for herself and kept her moral compass due North during her Hollywood endeavors. Landing a position as a body double for Salma Hayek for “How to be a Latin Lover,” Armida went on to appear in campaigns for brands like: Nike, Proactiv, Burger King, HP Computers, Modelo, Subaru and most recently, Ulta beauty.

The Creatress, a new film out by Jason Scott, distributed by Film Volt Media, has it's UK red carpet theatrical release on 4th October in London. It's a drama/comedy (or dramady) centering around the life of author Eryn Bellow (Lindy Booth). Francis is a young American actor who plays Brad, one of the key roles and love interest of Eryn.

Born in Venezuela, Fernando started out body building and after moving to the US ended up running his own gym by age 20. However, he felt something was missing and he was not following his dream of being an actor. He pursued this by attending classes and working very hard. He caught a break when he was cast in Bad Boys 2 where he had a really positive experience with both director Michael Bay and its lead Will Smith, who he described as being the most humble of people.
Fernando has an impressive list of credits, having appeared on many major Latin American shows where he played a wide range of characters. Fernando told me that he likes to select his roles carefully. In our interview we focus on his leading role in the Venezuelan horror film The Whistler (original title: El Silbon). The film is based on Venezuelan folklore and although it is in Spanish, you do not need to know the language. It is subtitled, however, the film has been made in such a clever way it spans international boundaries and language. Jus Sargeant came to my attention when I started listening to the books of (former guest) John P Logsdon and Christopher P Young. The books are fantasy comedy, based in the made up world of Ononokin and focus on various characters who co-exist there, from little giants, to wizards, elves, gnomes and more. Jus narrates each one with exquisite talent, creating the perfect voices for each character. Not only has just narrated these, but he is also multi-linguist and former teacher of English as a foreign language, putting his voice to multiple grammar and other language books for German, Spanish speakers. With over 80 books narrated so far, Jus is proving himself as one to watch (or listen to)

I chat with the amazing actress Justina Adorno, who can be seen on ABC’s Grand Hotel premiering on June 17th, where she stars as Yoli, the daughter to Gigi.
Executive produced by Eva Longoria, the series which is loosely based off of the Spanish series “Gran Hotel”, follows the extravagant lives of the Mendoza hotelier family comprised of the charismatic ‘Santiago Mendoza’ (Demián Bichir), his glamorous second wife, ‘Gigi’ (Roselyn
Sánchez), and their adult children. The hotel's loyal staff and patrons round out a contemporary, fresh take on an upstairs/downstairs story. Wealthy and beautiful guests bask in luxury, but scandals, escalating debt and explosive secrets hide beneath the picture-perfect exterior. ‘Yoli’, played by Adorno, is the kindhearted spitfire daughter of ‘Gigi’ who is constantly compared to her thinner and more beautiful twin sister ‘Carolina’ (Feliz Ramirez). She is used to being called ‘Gordita’ by her family but isn’t afraid to stand up to prominent guests who try to do the same.
Born in the Bronx, NY, Adorno got her elementary education as a student in Catholic school where she developed the understanding that the world was based on storytelling, either in a religious or a non-religious way. As a pre-teen she moved with her mother to South Carolina and attended a magnet program for acting called PCA (Palmetto Center for the Arts) where she fell in love with theater and later auditioned and attended South Carolina Governor School for the Arts and Humanities to fully begin her pursuit in acting. She attended Coastal Carolina University, graduated with her BFA in Acting and moved back to NYC. While in NYC, Justina booked a couple of national commercials and appeared in NBCs 2016 Diversity Showcase. She landed a few roles, one of them being the crime drama Netflix series, based on the Russian film The Major, “Seven Seconds,” where she played ‘Jasmine,’ a reoccurring role.
Justina is a woman who fuels, drives, and propels game-changing vegan and animal-rights initiatives. She leads a purely vegan life and prides herself on being a fantastic chef. While living in NYC, she volunteered at local animal shelters and organizations such as Little Wanderers NYC and Animal Lighthouse Rescue NYC. Although a plant-based diet might seem daunting, her Instagram account @justinaveganjourney - shows how there’s inspiration everywhere by showing how creative a vegan diet can be. She now resides in Los Angeles with her cats Catsby and Penni and enjoys painting, poetry, writing music and anything involving interior design.

Globally recognized for his Stella Artois Superbowl commercial starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Jeff Bridges, Andrew Pifko, the award-winning actor and comedian is no stranger to Hollywood and has a comprehensive body of work in film, theater and voice. With countless series and guest appearances under his belt in both comedy and drama, the classically trained actor has his sights set on becoming a household name.
On the big screen, Pifko will be disrupting audiences playing the title role in the acclaimed drama DADDY ISSUES premiering April 19th in cities across North America (will also be available on iTunes). The film centers around Maya (Madison Lawlor), a queer pixie artist who meets and falls madly in love with her insta-crush, Jasmine. It's all gumdrops and fairytales until Maya discovers Jasmine's passionate relationship with a secret sugar daddy Simon Craw (Andrew Pifko). For his role, Andrew was nominated for “Best Lead Actor” at the Nice, France International Film Festival and won in the same category at the NoVa Film Festival in Virginia.
On the small screen, Andrew will have a recurring role in as a swashbuckling Robin Hood-esque bandit in BYUtv’s ‘Dwight In Shining Armor’ airing Monday nights and will be heard as a series regular, voicing multiple characters, on Netflix’s ‘Carmen Sandiego’ alongside Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez. He also recently wrapped ‘Greek Gods’, with comedy icon Mel Brooks, taking an acerbically comic look at the immigration debate.

This Canadian native holds an Honors degree in Zoology and Microbiology from the University of Toronto and is a graduate LAMDA, U.K. post-grad classical program. As an extension of his pre-med studies, Andrew gained certifications in Research, Night and Rescue Scuba Diver on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He also spent a year in both Japan and Israel teaching English before eventually becoming an actor and graduating from the Upright Citizen Brigade’s Improv and Musical Improv programs. This modern-day renaissance man also enjoys riding his motorcycle and getting his hands dirty, having just completed a 2-year renovation of a classic 1929 Hollywood Hills home to bring it back to its former stature. To no surprise, his many voice over projects and travels have led him to master many languages including German, Japanese, French and Hebrew.

In more recent years, Guy has become known to differing audiences of TV and Film. Either as the dry-witted Henrik Hanssen, CEO of Holby City Hospital, or his homage to Grand Off Tarkin in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, or in Harry Potter or indeed the hit TV show Rome...Guy has enthralled audiences across the globe. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at a convention in 2017 and we have been in touch ever since, trying to arrange our chat. Best known for her illustrious work in films such as SWEET LOWDOWN, THE CURSE OF THE JADE SCORPION, and hit series including Hulu’s “The Path,” and Netflix’s “House of Cards,” we would love to arrange an insightful and entertaining interview with you and seasoned actor Kaili Vernoff to discuss her stellar career, as well as her newest projects, including her part in the global smash hit video game RED DEAD REDEMPTION II.
Developed by Rockstar Games, and released in late 2018, RED DEAD REDEMPTION II is the third entry in the Red Dead series and is a prequel to the 2010 release. Set in 1899 in the Western United States, Kaili’s character Susan Grimshaw is one of the original members of the Van der Linde gang who are fleeing after a botched ferry heist. Kaili’s character, ‘Susan Grimshaw’ is the games taskmaster and integral to the plot of the game. Working on the project for 4+ years, Kaili and the rest of the cast became fully immersed in the game as the production team at Rockstar games used mocap suits to capture every little detail and movement of each character. With this popular technique of developing video games, Kaili was challenged to act out an entire video game as if she were on the set of a film.
Growing up in multiple areas of the US, Kaili fell in love with the entertainment industry at a young age when she began doing commercials as a child actor. From there she and her family moved to Utah where she discovered her love of theater in middle school. With a passion for learning and wanting to pursue a career in the arts, Kaili moved to Boston and attend Boston University after high school. After graduating from college, Kaili signed with her first agent and began doing work on various plays and guest spots before landing roles in famed director Woody Allen’s films SWEET LOWDOWN, and THE CURSE OF THE JADE SCORPION, before securing parts in other films such as WORLD TRAVELER, and LIFE: A USER’S MANUAL. Kaili’s esteemed career also includes roles on series including Hulu’s “The Path” ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” Netflix’s “House of Cards,” as well as video games like Rockstar Game’s “Grand Theft Auto V.”
When Kaili isn’t busy in front of a camera or participating in a video game series, she loves spending her time as a mother with her daughter and attending yoga classes 6 times a week at her favorite yoga studio which she has been going to for the past 11 years. Kaili has also been a lifelong vegetarian and is a strong advocate for animal’s rights, and cruelty free products.

SEAL Team is, in my opinion, the hottest TV show out there. I have said also that I believe it is a modern Band of Brothers. Neil Brown Jr is no stranger to the screen. With many credits to his name in hit shows such as CSI:Cyber, NCIS LA, films like Battlefield Los Angeles and his excellent portrayal in award winning Straight Outta Compton, Neil is one of the most versatile and dedicated actors out there and a deeply spiritual soul. A stickler for perfection, Neil throws everything into each role, as he explains in the interview. In SEAL Team, as Ray Perry, Neil plays the grounded one of the team, the one who remains level headed...which is why, when he starts to walk down the path of faith, as he puts it, people are genuinely worried for him. Justin Melnick is a man with a fascinating career. He has spent time as a police officer as well as a combat photographer out in Afghanistan. He has experienced the horror of war as well as the toughness of the streets in his time as a cop. It was in this job that he teamed with his best friend, Dita. Melnick was brought onto SEAL Team as a consultant, but after a couple times of bringing his own equipment in, as the show didn't have the right stuff, he was asked by a producer if he would play the canine handler in the team. He has since not looked back, becoming a weekly regular and being fed more lines as the show, and himself as an actor, develops. In his own words, he has the most amazing teachers. Lormand plays Lieutenant Commander ‘Eric Blackburn’, the SEAL Team troop commander who coordinates operations whenever Bravo team is on missions and serves as the team’s leader and confidant, both on and off the battlefield. Later, the family moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, where Lormand attended Comeaux High School and the University of Louisiana. Lormand credits his high school drama teacher for encouraging his interest in theater arts. While in school, he competed in acting tournaments, winning many and further solidifying the acting bug. By 2010, Judd was acting full time, landing part after part. He booked 72 SAG jobs in 72 months – all while living in Louisiana.

Rob Dukes is a Midlands born actor, residing in London. The show was the #1 series debut in OWN history.Asia'h plays 'Tasha Skanks,' the wife of 'Basie Skanks' (Jason Dirden), a pastor of Greenleaf's rival church Triumph. 'Tasha' is a thorn in the side of rival 'Kerissa Greenleaf' (Kim Hawthorne) and Greenleaf family matriarch 'Lady Mae' (Lynn Whitfield). The new season shows 'Tasha Skanks' in a perilous position, forced between both families.

Growing up in small town Missouri, Asia'h started writing music at the age of 6. Singing became a source of great happiness for her and she did it wherever she could - in school, home, and church. While in high school, she won a regional talent competition, and subsequently moved to Atlanta. While in Atlanta she auditioned for American Idol and was selected to compete (after at first being denied). She went on to become a Season 7 finalist of the hit show. Her musical career began to skyrocket from there - she got signed with DefJam and began working with iconic producers Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmunds and L.A. Reid. She became a part of the original cast of the musical Hair Show alongside music legend Chaka Khan. Then, three weeks before her first musical showcase and release, she was in a devastating car accident - breaking her jaw, pelvis, nine ribs, and multiple vertebrae. Her mouth was wired shut. Her music career would be placed on the back burner. But when she feels weak, she pushes herself more. It was during this time of reflection and healing that another opportunity arose. She met a manager and began going to auditions, securing her first guest star role on TNT's Murder in the First. Before long she began booking more and more roles before landing her role on Greenleaf. Music is still very much a part of her life - she loves all kinds, R&B, Soul, even Country (her Missouri roots shine through).
Asia'h's father was a professional body builder and he instilled in her a love of health and fitness. She is also adventurous and enjoys being outdoors - whether it is hiking, jet skiing, climbing or even bungee jumping. She loves to travel - and recently spent an entire month in Bali. A firm believer in taking care of ones' body and health, she is also a licensed massage therapist.

Her first step was to educate herself, something that she dove head first into, receiving a Master's Degree in International Relations from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from National University (California).
She also studied at Columbia University in New York, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey, and La Sorbonne University of Paris. She traveled the world, meeting and connecting with immigrants and refugees to see firsthand what resources they were lacking. Whether she was in Iraq, Mexico, India or beyond, the biggest lesson she learned was that they longed to learn English - one of the most universal languages - so that they can communicate better with the outside world.
In 2013 at the age of just 25 years old, Hanna created her own non-profit, the Jaff Foundation for Education. Their mission is to teach English to immigrants, refugees, and the less fortunate, launch nondiscrimination campaigns, and aim their attention on world peace and education. Through her foundation, Hanna has authored three English-learning books and volunteers at refugee camps, where she teaches English and has donated 22,000 of her books to immigrants, refugees, and the less fortunate in Peru, Kurdistan, Iraq, Mexico, India, and worldwide. In the past five years the foundation has grown exponentially - having hosted more than 200 charity events worldwide, benefiting more than 120,000 people. Rena is an international award-winning actor and is one of only 6 actors in the world to have worked with both George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg during her illustrious career that spans 3 decades.
One of 9 children, she was born and bred in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand to a Maori/Welsh Father and a European Mother. She was first published at 8 when she won a national children's poetry contest, and throughout her youth, Owen was active in the Maori Culture Club, High School Musical productions, and Community Stage Plays. Despite knowing her talents were in creativity, upon graduating, the Arts were not considered a viable career.
At 18, she moved to Auckland to pursue a Nursing Career and 3 years later qualified as a General & Obstetric Nurse (RGN). In 1983, she went on her OE (overseas experience), a common Kiwi pursuit, and landed in London. Awed by the huge city and the bright lights of the entertainment world, the temptations that came with it easily seduced the naive 21 year old. But this life changing period led her back to a creative career.
She trained at the Actors Institute of London in the mid-1980s. During her formative years she worked in all aspects of the Theater. The first stage play she wrote, The River That Ran Away was produced by Clean Break and directed by the reputable award winning British actress Ann Mitchell with Rena in the lead role. It enjoyed a successful London tour and was later published by NZ Playmarket (1991). Other UK highlights include, Voices from Prison for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and award winning play, Outside In that debuted at the Edinburgh Festival.
Upon her return to NZ in 1989, Rena acted in two one-hour dramas for Television NZ's Series, E Tipu E Rea. A first of its' kind; the series was written, acted, directed and produced by Maori. In constant pursuit of learning and honing her craft, she continued to work extensively in theatre; acting, writing, directing, working as a dramaturgy, and was a founding member of Taki Rua Theatre.
She wrote and recorded short stories for Radio NZ, wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed stage play, Daddy's Girl whilst playing reoccurring roles in two NZ TV Series, Betty's Bunch, and Shark in the Park. Rena was a rare recipient of a Dame Te Atairangikaahu (the Maori Queen) Literary Award & Scholarship.
Rena's first feature film was a supporting role in the Kevin Reynolds/Kevin Costner film, Rapa Nui (1993), followed by the leading role in the cult-classic NZ film, Once Were Warriors. Her electrifying performance garnered her universal rave reviews. David Denby declared, "Owen's performance is classic!" Roger Ebert proclaimed, "You don't often see acting like this in the movies. Chase currently appears on the Lethal Weapon show as Martin Riggs when he was younger. His scenes are some of the most powerful, as the show explores the relationship Riggs had with his father.
Chase Mangum was born in Los Angeles and is known for playing Young Riggs on the FOX show Lethal Weapon (2016), 20 Seconds to Live (2015) and Flex & Shanice (2014). He loves acting but he is also a very talented musician. He has been playing and performing in bands since he was 6. Chase plays the drums, bass, guitar and has just started playing the ukulele.

Jacob Anderton is an experienced and established actor of theatre, TV and film.
Jacob graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Drama and Scriptwriting in 2012, since then he has worked hard to establish himself within the industry. Last year he won best actor at an international film festival.
His theatre credits include a range of work spanning from Prince Charming in Cinderella to playing Shakespeare's Hamlet, he has performed at theatres up and down the country.
His television work includes a brief spell in 'Downton Abbey' as well as playing 'Isaac Hedley' in ITV's 'Dark Angel' alongside 'Golden Globe' winning actress Joanne Froggatt.
In more recent times Jacob has just wrapped on feature film '13 Graves' in which he plays one of the leads 'Billy'. He has also just finished working with multi award winning director, Patrick Ryder on 2nd World War drama, 'The Code'. Jacob will be going to the Cannes film festival this year with '13Graves', where he has also been selected as a featured actor in the 'Talent Corner' of the festival.
He will be starting work on his biggest film to date later this summer, entitled 'The Moonshine Gang of Cheyenne' alongside an all star cast. Jacob also works as a LAMDA coach with schools and young people to try and nurture some up and coming talent.

Patrick Ryder is a director, producer and writer who has won multiple awards for his short films. His latest two releases are Human which has won 9 awards now and Chimera, featuring Andrew Lee Potts which is up for multiple awards and will be screened at Cannes film festival. A busy man, Patrick also has another film already in post-production - The Code - which focusses on a small band of British soldiers in WW2.

Chris is an American actor, from New York but lived the last 10 years in LA. Having landed a lead role in the Steven Soderbergh movie The Girlfriend Experience, after intiially being a consultant for the film due to his fitness instructor background, Chris went on to feature in Perfect, another of Soderbergh's works. He also thinks he would be a friendly vampire muppet! Bio: Chris Santos, one of five children, was born in Long Island, New York. His first foray into acting was at the age of 12 in esteemed writer and producer Rob Weiss's (AMERICAN PSYCHO, “Entourage”) film AMONGST FRIENDS shot in his hometown on Long Island. Santos is best known for his breakout role in the feature film THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE (directed by Steven Soderbergh) where he played the male lead opposite Sasha Grey. The film, which centers around a high-end escort 'Chelsea/Christine' (Grey) and her boyfriend 'Chris' (Santos), has since been turned into a Golden Globe-nominated drama series, airing on Starz. Growing up in a family full of celebrated professional actors, Sam Daly's childhood was anything but normal. Nicki Clyne is a Canadian actress, and recently, stand up comedian best known in her role as Cally, a member of the flight deck crew in the Colonial Fleet on the hit scifi show Battlestar Galactica. She became a hit with fans, which has only grown since the show finished. She has recently gone on stage in a different way, having taken up stand up comedy. "This is the most engaging interview I have ever done - Saila Kariat"
The Valley is a captivating film which takes you on an emotional and suspenseful journey following a father trying to find answers to his daughters suicide. The film explores mental health and how it affects people from those who are suffering to those who are around the sufferer.
What Saila has done is ingenious, and a fantastic way to bring mental health awareness into the mainstream. Her work stirs in the viewer a sense of familiaritiy with many of the emotions and scenarios which the characters go through. It is a brilliant way to reach those who may be sadly going through depression, anxiety or other mental health issues and allow them to see they are not alone and that there is help.

Since then, I have avidly followed her on Twitter as she performed as the Genie in Aladdin in Torquay where she received numerous rave reviews. She came across as truly professional and extremely dedicated. I couldn’t wait to talk with her on my show – where she became my first face to face interview!
Born in Romania, where she lived in an orphanage until she was adopted and brought to England aged 2 1/2, she has trained in stage combat and musical theatre. She has since appeared on stage and screen, with her skills as a dancer appearing in multiple music videos, played the Wicked Witch (a character that couldn’t be further from her bubbly personality) as well as the Genie on stage, amongst others and currently can be seen in the documentary Acting Class.

As an actor, Jordan can be seen in Netflix’s The Punisher as Isaac, The Get Down as Slim, HBO’s The Night Of as Hightower and the acclaimed Ray Donovan on Showtime. He originated the role of Dr. Martin Luther King in Katori Hall’s award winning play The Mountaintop, and originated the role of Gideon in Oscar winner (Moonlight) Tarell McCraney’s play Without/Sin. He has roles in the films LIFE with Eddie Murphy, Family Weekend andDisney’s Max Keeble’s Big Move.
Jordan has also played several of Shakespeare’s leading men onstage.
As a director, his show HOOPS by Gus Gauntlett won top honors (Best Play) in New York’s Annual Downtown Urban Theatre Festival. He has also directed music videos and plays he has written.
He currently teaches Drama at Avenues: The World School in Manhattan.

G-Rod was born Gabriel Rafael Rodriguez in Venezuela while his father was serving in the U.S. Army oversees. He is of Puerto Rican decent and spent time as a child in San Juan while his father served at home. As a child, he spent a great deal of time in South America and later the family would settle in South Florida still during his adolescent years.
In 2015, he moved to Brooklyn, New York to pursue his passion for acting. He first discovered his interest in acting when he interviewed for a U.S. Border Patrol position wanting to follow in his father's footsteps. During the interview, he was told they would start describing a job related scenario and he would have to explain how he would handle the situation. Instead, he mistakenly began acting out the scenario in front of the interviewers. At the end, the director informed him he successfully passed, but in his 30 years of conducting interviews he had never seen someone act out the actions. It was during this time, G-Rod realized acting was something he wanted to explore further. He decided he wanted to improve his acting skills and began attending classes with Lori Wyman and Marc Macaulay, an actor with over 30 years of experience in film and television projects. He also attended classes at the University Center of the Performing Arts in Davie, Fl and HB Studios in New York City.

Martial Arts enthusiast Ruediger W. Kuemmerle financed the project, which, although being based in China, he filmed in his hometown of Goeppingen, Germany with local crew. Rekha Sharma has had an excellent career so far. She has appeared in many films and shows over the years. She was in one of my favourite shows when younger - John Doe, as well as roles in The Core, main character in The 100, Battlestar Galactica and many many more.
Rekha has recently been seen on our screens though, in the new hit CBS show exclusively on Netflix - Star Trek Discovery. As someone who grew up watching The Original Series and being inspired to be an actress due to seeing Nichelle Nichols on screen and in such a key role where racism was obsolete, she is thrilled to be a part of the Star Trek universe where she plays the badd ass Commander Landry on board the Discovery.

Arthur Egeli started working on Murder in the Cape 13 years ago. The story of Christa Worthington's murder intrigued him. “The heart of the story is that there were all these personal struggles that you cannot read in a book about the crime,” director Arthur Egeli says. “You don’t get to see how everything affects each other, so we produced a narrative film about the characters who all had unique perspectives.”

Dan Jenski was inspired to make a film about the dangers of Adderall after he witnessed first hand his college friends turning to the drug to cope with the stress. As he found out more about the drug, he realised the large majority of users were completely unaware of the dangerous side effects. It was the realisation that 80% of college students surveyed believed that there were no dangers that inspired him to make ADDicted.
- ADDicted was shot entirely on location at the Missouri State University, Columbia campus where Jenski was once a college student himself.

The British independent film scene continues to excel as new crime-thriller Winter Ridge recently finished shooting and has already sold to 2 distribution markets at the Cannes Films Festival in May 2017. The film brings considerable star power in the form of Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones, Les Misérables), Alan Ford (Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and Olwen Catherine Kelly (The Autopsy of Jane Doe). The film stars up-and-coming actor Matt Hookings with Justin McDonald and Michael McKell as a team of detectives on the hunt for a serial killer who appears to be targeting the elderly. Other talent in the film includes Ian Pirie (Les Misérables, Da Vinci’s Demons) and Noeleen Comiskey (Casualty) with crew such as Oscar-winning sound designer Glenn Freemantle (Gravity, Slumdog Millionaire), editor Barry Moen (The American) and composer Paul Saunderson (Kick-Ass)
The shoot took place around Lynton and Lynmouth in North Devon, overseen by award-winning director Dom Lenoir and producers Nancy Bressolles (Rise of the Krays) and Chris Hardman who has worked on films such as Avatar, Star Wars and Kingsman. Director Dom Lenoir says “It was the dramatic nature of the story and the detective genre that first attracted him to the project. The elements that deal with degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s struck close to home with his own family and experiences. “I’m hoping that this film will raise an interesting debate on the condition and provide a heart-warming understanding of loneliness.”
Following the success at Cannes, the team are looking forward to securing worldwide distribution at AFM (American Film Market) in November 2017 for an early 2018 release!

Mhairi Isla Calvey was born in Glasgow and spent her childhood on the Isle Of Arran, off the West Coast of Scotland. Related to the actor Wolf Kahler ('Indiana Jones: Raiders Of The Lost Ark'). Acting is in the blood which meant Mhairi was a film buff from an early age.
At the age of 5, Mhairi made her movie debut playing the role of 'Young Murron' in Mel Gibson's film 'Braveheart', which went on to win five Oscars and 'the thistle scene' became one of the most popular Hollywood scenes of all time.
Shortly after filming Mhairi returned to school and started her career on stage performing in several theatres in the UK.
Mhairi spent two years training and performing with The Forthwall Theatre company in York. Then in 2006 Mhairi was reunited with actors James Robinson and Andrew Weir ('Braveheart') and invited to New York to take part in the event 'Dressed to Kilt' alongside Sean Connery and Brian Cox which aired on American TV. Later that year Mhairi was invited to do the same production in L.A where she worked with Linda Hamilton and Ashley Jensen. At age 18, Mhairi was accepted and given a full Scholarship to attend the prestigious Guildford School of Acting. During this time she made an appearance on the BBC's 'Scotland On Screen' with Alan Cumming.
Mhairi graduated in late 2010. Four months after graduating drama school Mhairi played the lead role in the independent romance ghost movie 'Any Minute Now' where she played a teenage narcoleptic girl who discovers something sinister in the town she's moved to. After earning good reviews from critics for her performance and gaining recognition from her peers, she was also nominated for best leading actress in an independent movie for her performance along with actors such as Mia Wasikowska. During this time Mhairi also acted in the film 'Five Pillars'.
After several notable on screen performances including playing the dangerous seductress in the crime thriller TV Movie 'Gemini' for which she won best actress at L.A film festival. Mhairi also starred as the title role in the action thriller 'Eden Grey', Penny in the series 'Horizon' and in 'Alan' directed by Oscar nominated director Matthias Lebeer. Starring as the lead 'Crystal' in sci-fi thriller 'Abduct' alongside William B Davis, Mark Arnold and Sienna Guillory meant that Mhairi established herself as one of the up and coming actors of British films.

Now and then you discover an author who totally captures your imagination. Little did I realise that when looking for a new audio book for the car would I find Paul E Cooley and his series The Black. A brilliant trio of books (so far) which stir the imagination and senses, instilling fear and suspense at every turn. In 2015, Paul won the Parsec Award for The Black and its sequel is up for one this year. He has authored many books, but The Black has been a huge success followed by Derelict: Marines and Derelict: Tomb, both available on amazon.com and audible (Tomb will be available in the next couple of weeks). Atlanta native Jayson Warner Smith is an actor in film, television and theatre. He started in theatre at age nine and since that time, Jayson has been in a play a TV show or a film every year of his life. "It's just always been what I was best at and what I really loved to do." "Nothing made me happier than collaborating with other artists to create something new."
Performing mostly in theatre Jayson has amassed quite a resume of roles but in 2010 Jayson finally scored a larger supporting role in a Hollywood film; the 2011 released remake of Footloose. Yes there's a remake of Footloose. This role marked the beginning of a new chapter in Jayson's love of acting. Since then he has performed supporting and leading roles in films and TV shows such as, Anchorman II, The Vampire Diaries, 99 Homes, Mississippi Grind, 42 and Fox TV's Sleepy Hollow.
In addition to those credits, Jayson is best known for his portrayal of the horrifyingly despicable death-row serial killer Wendall Jelks on Sundance TV's Rectify. This highly acclaimed show and Jayson's recurring role have helped him move to the next level in the eyes of Hollywood's story tellers and in 2015, things really took off.
Beginning in March of 2015, Jayson has performed major supporting roles in, Devil and the Deep Blue Sea with Maisie Williams and Jason Sudekis, Christine with Rebecca Hall and Michael C. Hall, The Birth of a Nation with Nate Parker and Armee Hammer, and Mena with Tom Cruise. All of these films will be coming out in 2016 and 2017. Most notably, The Birth of a Nation and Christine will both be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016.
Atlanta remains his home and he lives in Sandy Springs with his wife Lisa. Jayson teaches acting at The Robert Mello Studio in Atlanta. He is repped by Alexander White in Atlanta and The House of Representatives in Los Angeles.

Excelling in maths, Rory deliberately failed his maths exams in order to rule that out and follow his dreams of going into showbiz. Pegasus Bridge is an upcoming film from Lance Nielson. It focuses on the British side of D-Day, and follows the 6th Airborne Division. This interview is with Lance Nielsen, the writer and director, Jake Francis, who plays Richard Todd, Alex Tabrizi, Producer and also plays Private Cunningham, and Sharon Sorrentino the casting director. From Lance Nielson on imdb page In the early hours of the 6th of June 1944 Allied Airborne Forces launched one of most daring assaults in history. 181 men in 6 gliders landed at night to capture two bridges vital to the success of the D-Day landings, one of these would become known as Pegasus Bridge. The men who captured and held these objectives were led by two young charismatic and very different leaders. Major John Howard led the men of the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry who managed to land their gliders a stone's throw from the bridge and Colonel Geoffrey Pine-Coffin led the men of the 7th Parachute Battalion who occupied the surrounding ground and held off the German counter attacks. Pegasus Bridge tells the story of these leaders and the young men who would follow them into battle. This film is a grand tale of real wartime heroism-the story follows an ensemble cast of key characters from their initial briefing on the operation in the UK and training through to the actual assault on the bridges, their capture and the desperate defence that followed in the immediate twenty-four hours. It is told not only from the British perspective but also through the eyes of the first French family to be liberated, the sweethearts left behind and several key German characters who were responsible for the defence of the area. As the British paratroopers and glider infantrymen struggle to hold off the ever increasing number of German forces will they will be relieved from the sea in time?

This is an interview conducted in 2014, for the students of my friend who is a history teacher, with questions asked by the students. One of my first ever interviews. During the Vietnam War, Joe Galloway worked as a reporter for UPI, beginning in early 1965. Thirty-three years later, he was decorated with the Bronze Star for helping to rescue wounded American soldiers under fire during the battle at Landing Zone X-Ray in the Ia Drang Valley. He is known for co-authoring "We Were Soldiers Once....and Young" with Col. Hal Moore. Immortalised in film by Mel Gibson, with Barry Pepper playing Joe.
