Colleen Blake-Miller: psychotherapist, speaker, author and podcaster

Your Amazing Life is a podcast dedicated to helping people live full and enjoyable lives. The stories you tell yourself determine the quality of your life. Too often people can't enjoy their life, because they believe stories about themselves aren't true.

Join your host Colleen Blake-Miller, as she tackles many of those faulty ways of thinking and deep dives into many of the secrets to living a great life.

Being a person who wears many hats (wife, mother, registered psychotherapist, author, speaker etc.) Colleen recognizes the importance of filling up on resources that help nourish the body, mind and spirit. Through this weekly podcast you will find bursts of encouragement, and thought provoking dialogue that will inspire you to live your best life.

In this episode of Your Amazing Life, Colleen shares a personal reflection inspired by completing her first three-day water fast.

This is not an episode promoting fasting or offering health advice. Instead, Colleen shares the lessons the experience revealed about mindset, perseverance, personal growth, and discovering that we are often capable of more than we believe.

She reflects on what it means to pay attention to the messages that keep resurfacing, to give yourself room to improve when the first attempt does not go as planned, and to stop interpreting a difficult beginning as evidence that something is impossible.

Most importantly, this episode is a reminder that you are worth the effort.

You are worth the same commitment, consistency, energy, and excellence that you so freely give to your work, your family, your ministry, and the people around you.

Whatever hard thing is in front of you, this conversation will encourage you to take the first step, rely on the strength and grace of God, and allow your progress to become evidence that you really can do hard things.

Have you ever found yourself slowly starting to lose hope?

Not because you've stopped believing in God…

But because you've been waiting.

Waiting for healing. Waiting for an answer. Waiting for a door to open. Waiting for life to look different than it does today.

In this episode, Colleen explores the story of Sarah in Genesis 18 and the honest tension between faith and feelings.

Because sometimes two things can be true at the same time.

You can deeply desire what God has promised and still struggle to believe it's possible.

You can love God and still wrestle with disappointment.

You can have faith and still find yourself asking, "What if it never happens?"

Together, we'll explore God's powerful question to Sarah:

"Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

In this conversation, you'll be encouraged to:

• Understand why losing hope is a human experience—not a sign that your faith has failed

• Recognize the difference between trusting your feelings and standing on God's truth

• Learn why disappointment doesn't have to determine your future

• Reflect on the promises you've quietly stopped believing for

• Find the courage to trust God, even when your feelings haven't caught up yet

Because your circumstances may have changed…

Your feelings may have changed…

But God's promises have not.

If you've started to lose hope, this episode is for you.

We hear a lot about red flags.

The warning signs. The unhealthy patterns. The habits and behaviors that keep us stuck.

And while it's important to recognize red flags, what if we spent a little more time paying attention to the green ones?

In this episode, Colleen invites listeners to pause and reflect on the often-overlooked signs of emotional growth and healing.

Because growth isn't always loud or dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like pausing before you respond instead of reacting.

Sometimes it looks like no longer needing everyone to understand you.

Sometimes it looks like sitting with difficult emotions, taking accountability without self-condemnation, or recognizing your triggers without shaming yourself for having them.

In this conversation, you'll be encouraged to:

• Recognize and celebrate the progress you've made

• Identify green flags that may already be present in your life

• Reflect on how you've grown emotionally, mentally, and spiritually

• Consider what trusted people in your life might say about the growth they've witnessed in you

• Create space for gratitude instead of focusing only on what's left to fix

Because while there will always be more work to do, there is also growth worth acknowledging.

Take a moment to pause.

Celebrate the healing.

Notice the progress.

And don't overlook the green flags.

In this episode of Your Amazing Life, I'm joined by Richard Picart for a conversation that is both powerful and deeply personal.

Richard is a speaker, teacher, and business coach with over two decades of experience helping individuals and organizations move through seasons of stagnation and step into clarity, purpose, and renewed momentum. (richardpicart.com (https://richardpicart.com/about/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)) But in this episode, we move beyond his professional expertise and step into a very real and vulnerable part of his life.

Richard shares his journey of being diagnosed with prostate cancer and what it has looked like to navigate this season—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We talk about uncertainty, resilience, perspective shifts, and what it means to keep moving forward when life doesn't unfold the way you planned.

This conversation is honest, grounding, and filled with insight for anyone walking through a difficult season, supporting a loved one, or learning how to stay anchored in the midst of life's unexpected challenges.

We spend so much time thinking about our relationships.

Our marriage. Our children. Our friendships. Our colleagues. Even our relationship with God.

We invest time, energy, prayer, and intention into strengthening those connections.

But what if the relationship you've been neglecting the most… is the one you have with yourself?

In this episode, Colleen explores how your relationship with yourself quietly shapes every other relationship in your life. From early identity development to your internal narrative, to the voices you allow to influence you, this conversation challenges you to consider:

  • How do you actually relate to yourself?
  • What is your inner tone?
  • Do you appreciate and accept who you are?
  • Are you aware of how your self-concept is affecting your relationships?
  • Is your identity anchored in truth—or shaped by old wounds and outside pressures?

You'll walk away with practical ways to strengthen your self-awareness, reshape your internal dialogue, cultivate healthier community, and intentionally nurture your relationship with God as the foundation of a secure and stable sense of self.

Because the way you relate to yourself impacts how you love, lead, parent, serve, and walk in purpose.

If you want to show up better in your relationships and in your calling, start here.

Strengthen the relationship you live with every single day

We're well into the year now.

The excitement of January has faded.

The momentum has slowed.

And maybe you're looking at your life thinking… now what?

In this reflective and grounding episode, Colleen invites you to pause and consider a powerful question: What's fueling you lately?

Are you being driven by peace—or by pressure? Are you running on purpose—or on comparison? Are you fueled by truth—or by old thought patterns you never healed from?

Together, we explore what it means to intentionally fuel your:

Mind — examining the thoughts and inputs shaping your mental space

Body — responding with care to what your body is communicating

Spirit — staying connected to The source so you're not running on empty

You'll walk away with practical action steps for each area, reflection questions to guide your week, and encouragement to choose sustainable fuel over short-term hype.

Because what fuels you determines how you show up, how you endure, and how you live out your calling.

Tune in. Reflect deeply. And choose your fuel wisely.
