Richard Farquhar today completed his Walking the Courses challenge on the final day of Newmarket's Craven Meeting.
Farquhar started his challenge over a year ago and has walked 3,000 miles travelling between all 60 racecourses in the UK in aid of Racing Welfare and Pancreatic Cancer UK. He began his walk at Newmarket on March 20th.
At the end of the trek which included walking down Newmarket High Street followed by many of the country's top trainers on horseback, Farquhar spoke to Rupert Bell
Rich Ricci had to endure the frustration of seeing his Vautour just failing to land the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Saturday. Victory was denied in the final stages by Cue Card .
But earlier Ricci had seen his Faugheen return to winning ways easily win the Christmas Hurdle and over in Ireland Douvan took the Grade 1 Racing Post Novices Chase.

Lizzie Kelly has become the first lady jockey to ride a winner of a Grade 1 race over jumps in Britain. Kelly rode tea for Two to win the Kauto Star Novices Chase at Kempton.
The 9/4 chance beat home Southfield Royale and following her ground breaking success Kelly spoke to Racing UK's Lydia Hislop.
Altior ran out a very impressive winner of the opening novice hurdle race at Kempton on Saturday.
The Nicky Henderson trained runner came home 13 lengths clear of the Willie Mullins trained Open Eagle.
The exciting prospect is now a 7/1 chance for the Sun Alliances novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
