Today's the day for receiving your inheritance from your rich brother JESUS! Our inheritance is not found in the things we get out of God - it's God himself! It's the very essence of who He is - peace, love, joy, provider, healer - and the list goes on. And know this - not one person deserves it! But the reality of an inheritance is that the desire of the leaver trumps the deserving of the receiver. God's desire has left you everything that He has through Jesus! It's your move! You get to decide how much of what He's left for you - you grab hold of.
Have you ever felt like you've been beat on by circumstances and thoughts in your head - over and over again? If we're not careful - we'll lose hope and give up. God has a word for you - "Hope." When we lose His POWER - we lose our HOPE. Sometimes in life, we need a hope dealer to come along and encourage us to just keep showing up, moving forward and never quitting. Stay in the game, and connect to His power to find your hope.
Do you ever feel like you're just not enough? You give your heart and life to things and you feel like you're not enough? Be encouraged! We can't be distracted by the giants in the land! We must have a voice and heart like Caleb. We must come to a place that our weakness is a portal for God's strength to work in and through us for His promises to become more than evident in our lives. God's grace is sufficient and available for us as we go and work out our faith.
God wants you to be so close to Him, know Him so well and hear His voice in every moment that you experience His power in your life, in every situation, in your weakness, in your job, in your marriage, in your parenting. And when we live and move like that - in HIS power - others around us will see and experience Him in a way we can't imagine. When we are tight with Him - He gives us wisdom and reveals things to us, but it's when we are outside of His presence, outside of knowing Him that we experience a power outage.
Why is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Israel different from ALL other gods? He is ALIVE and He is POWERFUL! The gospel of Jesus is the power of God. God wants us to walk in His power, and not just get our salvation card, ignoring what is going on around us. God's power is our resource to live a life in union and harmony with Him and live as over-comers for His purpose.

Holy Spirit is so important that Jesus told His disciples it was better that He goes away so Holy Spirit can come. We are meant to walk full of Holy Spirit and overflow and that's how we can live the life God intended for us, then we can be about doing the "greater things." We weren't meant to get the heaven card and walk around powerless like the rest of the world - NO. We were meant to do this life with Holy Spirit. What's your overflow look like?

God is asking us to "look over" some things in the past and "stretch" forward for some things ahead. Join us at The Roads Church in Norris City as we press for more of God and "Reboot" in 2019.
"Walk in the Spirit and you won't fulfill the desires of the flesh" is easier said than done, but a REBOOT makes it easier. When we partner with God to reset our heart and mind, we can find a new pathway. When we shut down and power off old ways of responding we can restart anew with the best heaven has to offer.
Ask, Seek, KNOCK! That's the pattern. That's what Jesus. He told us how to approach Him in prayer. It's OK and expected to ask, seek AND knock. Desire His promises, devote your heart, and determine to be persistent. This is the final message in the series by Chad Everett.

Are you living generously? If so, by this part of the series, your world should be getting larger and LARGER! Freely we have received and freely we give. A core value at The Roads is to bring our "A game" and to live generously. In doing so, people experience the extravagant love of the Father. Our generosity points people to Him. Let's give excessively of everything we possess...our money and time, our affection and talent. Laying up treasures in Heaven where rust and moth can't touch them is a great way to live generously.
The world of the generous gets larger and larger! In this third installment of Generous Living, discover how the firstfruits of the tithe belong to the Lord. We get the 90% and He gets the 10. We can have freedom, joy and generosity in giving and living generously....with all our time, talents and finances.

Society and popular culture would have us believe that being alone, having superhero strength and needing no one is the way to live. That is not God's intention for humanity. Jesus connects us to heaven AND to each other. Loving one another is the real deal. To live in God's best, we must stretch our love to each other in order to experience kingdom living at its best.
God is inviting us to live generously in all areas of our life. Giving freely from all of our resources sacrificially and abundantly is a great way to bless others and find abundant life in Christ. Taking our eyes off ourselves and seeing the big picture is our responsibility as believers in Jesus.
