Akshan replaced the entire metagame with its destiny draw of adding anything you want to your hand.
Worldwalker introduced Chimes which made midrange decks look like an afterthought and accomplishes what control decks want to do by the mid-game.
Forces from the Underworld and Kai'Sa were the final blow to Legends of Runeterra and the innovation of new concepts.
It started with Karma generating Health Potions in 2020.
Then it started to pick up speed with Invoke and The Great Beyond in Targon.
RNG reared its ugly head with the introduction of Bandle City and the keyword Manifest(ation) of Hearthstone's favorite keyword - Discover.
With Evelynn and the introduction of Husks', Legends of Runeterra has finally suffered the same growing pains as their predecessors.
The time has come once again for the end of the season and it means that the monthly Legends of Runeterra Seasonal Tournament is coming up.
Decks and lineups have been theory crafted. Strategies planned.
However, this can be summed up with one statement - "You either Rally or you don't."
Experts were totally wrong when they predicted that Bard was the least strong champion from the Worldwalker expansion.
Jhin fell flat, Annie could only be played in a few decks, and Illaoi after trying so hard to become a new version of Pantheon Yuumi, has become a totally different beast on its own.
Thralls is now the undisputed best aggro/control/midrange/combo deck and with the Seasonal Tournament looming in the corner in two days, players are scrambling to figure out the best lineup to counter the threat of the Sands of Time.
The Seasonal Tournament's format changed from a two-week affair to two back-to-back days, which means older card game players like myself are instantly reminded of the sheer endurance and mental fortitude required to survive this ordeal.
The latest patch 3.6.0 has made the pool of viable meta options in Legends of Runeterra wider, new and older champions from the days of beta release are back and some changes made in prior patches have been reverted.
New cards are introduced to the game which felt a bit too late with Bandle City being the toolbox it is.
Riot Games is desperately trying to hold on to what it has with Legends of Runeterra which is in free fall.
The lessons I am going to share from the latest LOR Drama involving Swim and a female LOR player.
I recently watched Arcane and it was hands down one of the best-animated shows I've watched in recent memory.
And that made me come to a realization, what is Riot doing with LOR when you can just focus all your attention to making the best TV Series of all time?
After a year since Shurima's release, Azir is finally being played in the way it is supposed to be played - via the Emperor's Deck.
Tristana Swarm is still the best deck in the format despite the nerfs. Pantheon Yuumi, Riven Viktor and Targon's Peak dominate the metagame in Patch 3.4.0.
Games now end as early as Turn 6. Does this signal the first time in LOR history that we are in a combo meta?
For the first time in two years since Covid started, I finally traveled and the whole world has changed - for the worst.
This trip has opened my eyes to the state of the world has declined and I finally understand what pushes professional card gamers from certain parts of the world to commit to playing their respective card games.
Gods Unchained may be the best that Crypto Gaming has to offer now but it will not be the BEST that Crypto Gaming and Play and Earn have to offer in the future.
I had the pleasure of witnessing and reviewing my first Gods Unchained Balance Update/Patch Notes after playing this game for one month.
It has certainly been a change of pace comparing this to Legends of Runeterra where there is always a balance patch every week with the hordes of streamers screaming about nerfing this and that all the time.
The frequency of the patch notes of Gods Unchained reminds me of the days of Yu-Gi-Oh! where banlists and changes to the game only occur twice a year, allowing the metagame to evolve organically without interference of big gaming companies trying to suck dollars and your attention out of you.

With Divine Order's balancing to end on 26th Feb, there is a question of which cards will survive the balancing phase and retain their price value.
Instead of hoping which card will survive the balancing phase, the better way to tackle this issue is to spot the cards which will become incredibly valuable one, two, and even years into Gods Unchained.
With my extensive history in card games, I have looked into the past and with this insight, picked out the cards that historically have done well throughout the various card games I've played - it's all about past trends and effects that have shaped the metagame.

There's a saying that you haven't experienced Gods Unchained until you play the Weekend Ranked event in the Mythic Rank - this statement I agree wholeheartedly. From the ranks of Solar Gold till Ethereal Diamond, the game was relatively tame, you can go very far with a simple F2P deck. The moment you hit Mythic and start your Weekend Ranked event at that rank is where all the fun and sorrow begins.
From cards like Pyramid Warden showing you the difference between your two cost drops from the old school players and Apocalypse Now symbolizing the end of your struggle, there are a handful of extremely crazy cards that exist in Gods Unchained. The War God in Gods Unchained undoubtedly contains some of the most overpowered cards in the game, with me featuring more than half of the crazy cards from this God.

Today marks the start of 2021 and also my one-month milestone of playing Gods Unchained. On 3rd December 2021, I started playing Gods Unchained, and after playing the games for a solid month, it's finally time for me to discuss my thoughts on this game - the good, the bad & the ugly.

It took me a week to hit Mythic in Gods Unchained, how did I do it? I used the same formula as I have from hitting the highest Ranks in Hearthstone, Artifact, and most recently, Legends of Runeterra. I strongly believe in understanding the mechanics of the game, followed by strong fundamentals like knowing when to develop, take trades, and going aggressive. Lastly, knowing which playstyle fits you best - not every player knows face is the place.
I also talked about the strengths of the Cursed Obelisk and Cursed Scepter along with my experience playing the Weekend Ranked event where I finished 19/25 wins.

In June of 2021, I discovered Gods Unchained after a card game professional recommended it to me, I downloaded the game and went through the tutorial. I liked the game but at the time I was playing and making content for Legends of Runeterra, GODS was then left as an icon on my screen.
Fast forward to December, while being on a hiatus after the conclusion of the LOR World Championships, I then clicked on the GODS icon because why not? I played and familiarized myself with the mechanics. One week later I hit Mythic, the highest rank in GODS. Apart from hitting Mythic, I also discovered my collection was worth $100 and I could sell it on a marketplace, and the best part? Without a middle man.
I came to the conclusion that Gods Unchained and other Crypto games in the blockchain industry will revolutionize the gaming industry and put an end to the gaming brands that we all know.
