The topic for today is "poor customer service in the black community".
I would like to share insight with those living within the black community (Black Americans/Africans) this message is for you.
The black Americans back in the day took pride in giving our brothers and sisters quality services. However, nowadays, the black community is getting a bad rap concerning poor customer service and this is very sad.

I receive many emails from different platforms concerning dating and relationships with African men. Now, I don't have all the answers & I'm not perfect. I am just sharing my responses based on what I know and my own personal experiences with African men/people. It is not easy to answer questions because I know that although ladies may seek advice, it is hard to put it into action when one is in love. I know this all too well because I went through it when I was in love and seeking advice. Some sisters dislike when I tell them the path they are on with their guy is not good. It is a pain when you are with a handsome sweet African man and are told that the relationship is not the best. No one wants to start over looking for love again and that is understood. I don't want to cause pain or judge you but open your eyes to the bigger picture before you get hurt or lose your finances. I want you to have a great relationship with your man and I want it to last. But I have to tell the truth. With any man, you must fight the sexy swag smoke, stand back and look at the beginning and the end. Ask yourself, will this man help or hurt my life and finances? How am I winning in my life by getting with him? Did I do my research on my "soul mate"? Are his actions lining up with his words? What is my gut telling me?

Hey:) Today, I will briefly explain the concepts of leveling up and discuss my journey.
So, leveling up is basically a transformation process that happens on the inside and shows on the outside. Leveling up is when you decide to take a self-assessment and begin to fix certain areas in your life (traumas), love yourself, and get educated on how to handle men correctly. You can decide to be single and still level up, it is not all about dating men but truly loving you first. PickMe's are ladies that are not educated on how to grow, transform and date men with smarts. Many of these sisters have unhealed issues and also wait on a man to pick them for love instead of calling the shots and asking the right questions. So for instance, a guy may say " I am not ready for a relationship" with his words and or actions. A pick me will still entertain a man that is not ready and then wonder why he is not committing to her after all she has done for him. Some "pick mes" sisters are in situationships/relationships and are confused because the man is sending mixed messages. This is because of a lack of insight and knowledge on how to deal with a man. Some "pick mes" don't understand their value and accept men who devalue them and get mad at other women who tell them that their mindset is not good

You also need to be able to keep it popping if a man rejects you. If you have to wipe tears then do it but understand that the butterfly in your life doesn't define you. Consider forming a roster of potential dates. I talk more about how to build one in my Facebook group.
You can find someone with the same butterfly by Googling dating websites that match your condition. Here's an example "dating with HIV" or "dating with Herpes". A lot of websites will pop up such as PositiveSingles.com or personals.poz.com . You can also participate in awareness events through the following websites and meet people https://www.hiv.gov/events https://hwerks.com/national-herpes-events/ http://www.hepbunited.org/advocacy/events/ https://www.nccc-online.org/local-chapters/nccc-events/

A good number of our American sisters are contemplating moving to their man's native land in Africa. There are several ladies that I have spoken with in the past who have done this and I just want to share some insight with you. I can't tell you to do it or not to do it... I could never do this for a variety of reasons. Some African Men who carry ignorance about black Americans
I have run into some African men that formed negative stereotypical opinions concerning black Americans and it is indeed disturbing. I will dive into what a few African guys told me who live in the USA and share my thoughts. It is one thing for a guy to not like a lot of things that are happening inside the USA like politics etc but it is another thing when he forms crazy conclusions and makes ignorant statements about your people and stands firm on it. This is a no-no.
So one guy stated that he believes that "ALL" black Americans are lazy and ghetto. He told me that I am different and we can go out. I told him that what he said was not cool and it was indeed ignorant. I asked him why he is thinking this way and he said it is what he is seeing every day. He was living in a rough area in Atlanta and therefore he was surrounded by people who got there due to unfortunate situations and or choices and therefore that shaped his thinking about all black Americans. When I was a child me and my family temporarily use to live in bad areas but my parents were college graduates that were just hitting a hard time due to my dad becoming disabled. My parents were nowhere near lazy or ghetto and my dad held down several jobs with his disability and so did my mom until things improved. I also have family that holds high positions in the workforce and is successful. He still insisted that he was right even though I told him my story. At that moment I stopped talking to him and hopped on the Marta train. I can't waste my energy on going back and forth. There are bad areas in every country and city including the region he came from. See the rest here

Getting Things Done with Mean & Rude African Men as an American Woman
I forgot to mention in my video titled "Strong Attraction Magnet & African Men" another important way to utilize my attraction magnet. What is C Ann's attraction magnet? It is a unique wisdom mystery that a quality foreign woman carries within her. This woman is special because she not only looks fantastic on the outside but there is something amazing on the inside, that makes an African man curious and this causes him to want to know more about this queen.
Now the usage of this unique wisdom mystery worked for me 100% of the time in not only attracting a date but also dealing with mean and rude African men. I would disarm these African men with my attraction magnet but not in a flirtatious way and that is the difference between the information in this video vs the other one. My experience in giving to African charities & creating businesses to lift people out of poverty
I am just sharing what I went through years ago in sending money to African charities and building businesses for those deep in poverty. Get whatever lesson you can out of my experience. I wouldn't say that I was "naive" about scams in Africa, I just gave these folks a chance and in the end it was nothing but disappointments. I have no one but myself to blame for loss of money and time wasted. Click here for the rest of the blog post https://datingafricanmen.blogspot.com/2020/03/my-crazy-experience-in-giving-to.html

Is it a Genuine or a bias/prejudice warning?
A friend, looked at my video "They said leave those African Men alone" and told me that it is important for women to be warned of the dangerous scams concerning men from Africa and not warning women is not good. I am not saying that friends and family should never give us advice. Many times they mean us well and want us to be safe. However, it is important to discern if this warning received is genuine without a bias or prejudice taste to it. I will briefly talk about this today.
I will briefly share several definitions with you so that you can have this in mind when receiving advice or warnings.
Bias can be normally implicit or unspoken. It is a tendency to look at things in a certain way, in preference to other ways. There are 9 types of bias according to sociatalent.com ( https://www.socialtalent.com/blog/diversity-and-inclusion/9-types-of-bias ).
Being bias does lead to poor judgment, poor reasoning skills, and faulty decision making because they may close the person's mind off to alternative ideas, truths, and opinions. For instance, someone can say "I think that Mexicans are better than Americans". This person is favoring a group of people over another.
Prejudice (pre-judging a similar form of bias) a preconceived mindset that prevents the impartial judgment of ideas or people. An example is "All Americans men are cheaters and deceivers. Don't ever date one"!
Discrimination comes into play when one starts acting upon a prejudice they possess regarding a certain group of people. For instance "I will not hire any black Americans or Jamaicans".
Some of this info came from https://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples-of-bias.html

I can't sit on this platform and say that all african men have ill intentions
ons and are out to use our American ladies for the green card. However, just like I have ran into some really down to earth genuine African men...I have ran into some really bad African guys and seen some stuff. Today I will talk about 4 situations that I will never forget...hopefully you ladies will be reminded to just be careful out here.
That is not his sister or aunt, it is his girlfriend or wife.
This man is in two relationships. One with a lady back home and one with an lady from the USA. He told his woman back home that he must get into a new one here in the US in order to get his papers and then he will bring her over. The American gf is introduced over the phone to his woman back home as his aunt or sister. Whenever the American gf hear him talking to her in his dialect she thinks it is his aunt or sister but it is his wife or gf. I have seen it where the man and his girlfriend were here in the US and he introduced his girlfriend as his sister to his American lady and asked for her help with his "sister" (she needs a place to stay). The American woman fell in love with the guy and moved them both in her home and eventually married the guy. They later divorced after he got what he needed and she was shocked when she later found out that they were boyfriend and girlfriend. This situation was crazy!
This man called my friend and told him that he was on his way to his house to visit to talk to him asap. I asked my friend what was the urgency. My friend told me that he said he has been seeing this vanilla (white lady) for a while and is looking at how to sustain the relationship so that he can get his papers. He told my friend he just needs her for this reason and then he will dump her after divorce. When I would go to certain events, I would see this lady and I would feel bad watching her laugh and smile and not even knowing this is a set-up for her...the gullible.
This man told me that he wanted to marry me the same week I met him. I asked him why, and he said because he loves me and he sees me as a great wife. When I dug deeper into him, I discovered that he needed me to be a fixer-upper Bob the builder woman and I couldn't. I told him we can't be together. He was very upset about it and started cursing me. His true colors sure did show early on. Hello, I would like to talk about the common NEGATIVE statement I was told from a youth. Once some of the people around me saw that I was in the obsession stage of learning about Africa and Africans from different regions and I was immediately reprimanded. People told me all the bad about African and Caribbean men. I heard nothing but crazy relationship stories and how all of them are cheaters and scammers. I ignored these folks and when I ended a few relationships with African men, I heard the same thing over again.
I consider this mindset a bad misconception! It's biased. First off, a man is a man no matter where he comes from. The difference between African men and American men is that you have more layers (language, understanding the tradition, his beliefs concerning multiple wives) to pull down to get to the core and motives of the guy. There are scammers in every country and city. I was scammed by a white American guy when I was 14 and I went through it again with a black American man when I was 24 years old. Why is my African Man Asking for my Clothing & Shoe Size?
Every African man that I was in a serious relationship asked me for my clothing and shoe size.
Make sure you really want to be with this guy before taking any special gift from him. If you are undecisive on your love for him, hold off on taking anything. Tell him, "I thank you for your thoughtfulness, but I would like us to learn about each other a little more before receiving anything".

7 Signs that it's time to move on from your African man!
Many women desire a healthy relationship with a man that is caring, handsome, honest and romantic. We end up meeting men who we believe will do these things and some appear to have everything that we ever wanted. However, as time pass, we realize that this handsome man is different from what we envisioned. His true colors are showing and now you are weighing your options... should you stay all to tell others "you got a man at home"? Or, should you leave with your dignity and start all over again with someone else?

I kinda feel that Valentine's day is a little overrated and I noticed that a lot of emotions run very high around this time. A lot of ladies either have a man and he is not romantic or buys them anything special, some have men that are thoughtful and there are those that have no man at all and wish they did. I want to briefly talk to the first group and the last group.
First off I want to say to group#1 that communication is everything, and it also boils down to the personality of your African man and his perspective regarding Valentine's Day, Birthdays and even holidays. It also comes down to how Americanized he is. I find that men who are more Americanized are more inclined to give me something thoughtful and nice. Like I said it really depends. Just because he doesn't get you anything doesn't mean he doesn't love you, a lot of factors can be involved (low on cash, not familiar with what it really is, he recently brought you an expensive gift), etc.
The African men I was in a relationship with, especially my former husband always brought me little nice gifts for Valentine's Day. There is NOTHING wrong with wanting something nice from your man around this time and don't brush it off as if it is nothing. Every woman smiles when she receives something thoughtful from her man whether she expected it or not. Bring your dude a small gift and tell your man how you feel "honey, I like to receive thoughtful gifts on Valentine's day because it shows me that you had me in mind". That is just my way of handling it. But you handle this the best way you see fit. Never push your feelings aside because I find that folks that do this end up exploding later and spilling all of the pain and hurt that built up. Let your wishes be known asap!
To the ladies with no man. Hello! I join you! I was reading a lady's post yesterday about how she doesn't have a man and she is successful, she felt something was wrong with her. The answer is NOTHING is wrong with HER or YOU AT ALL. You have yet to discover a real MAN that will value and appreciate you. Listen to me! You don't and shouldn't want to be with just any ole man just because he has a dick and you can tell others "ooh I have a man at home". My sister, you don't want a bum at home that is sucking your soul dry of positive energy, being a cheater or can't love you properly. I don't have a man because I promised myself to get 4 more serious goals out of the way before I travel down that path again and when I do trust me I am not settling for b.s and neither should you. I don't advise you to sit around waiting for a man and I don't believe in common statements like "he will come to you". I want you to pick up relationship books and learn how to date like a spartan and put yourself out there so the right guy can see you. If you are prone to attracting toxic men then you need to get counseling first on what in you is making these dudes seem good.
Anyway, ladies...

Here are the benefits of having an African lady friend
- She can teach you things that you never learned in your country (USA, UK, Canada, elsewhere).
- She can show you how to cook the different dishes that will make your man happy (if she is from his region).
- She can invite you to join her in going to different celebrations and parties.
- She can show you what to wear and what not to wear when going to an event.
- Loyalty the women I dealt with were very loyal and wise. They give outstanding advice.
- Hard worker and willing to help if you are in a bind.
-You will experience real sisterhood.
In friendship, positive energy should flow from both ends. A friendship should not be lopsided. Include her in some of your cool events and celebrations and just make that connection flow in a great way. Most of all, keep in touch often don't let that connection die.
Where do I find an African friend?
I encourage you to be kind and make friends with women from any part of Africa. However, if you are dating a man from a particular region try to find a friend from that part. So for instance, if I am dating a man from Zimbabwe I will find a Zimbabwe or South African church and start attending or find a Zimbabwe tailor clothing shop and ask questions. Once you get used to the culture, and you eventually find a friend, please be just as loyal, honest and understanding.
What not to do to an African friend?
-Try to change her.
-Disrespect her culture in any way (insulting the food, accent, makeup).
-Not being open-minded (your way or the highway).
-Not going to at least one celebration or event that she invites you to.
-Being trifling, ghetto or gossipy.
-Expecting her to loyal but you are not.
-Not appreciating her when she goes out of her way to do something for you or give you gift.

GREEN CARD, LOVE & MARRIAGE | DATING AFRICAN MEN
Today, I want to talk about some aspects concerning the green card, love & marriage in general.
As a youth, a lot of African men asked me for marriage and at the time I had a wonderful Ghanian pastor that gave me wisdom once I was bombarded by marriage request from the mothers in his church. He advised me not to go through with the request because I would be used in the end. A woman gave me her son's picture and wanted me to get into a relationship with him but my pastor told me to return the pics.
Once older, I was able to see some tricks that some foreign men use to get American women and other nationalities into this trap. I love an honest African man. One that tells me upfront what the deal is without me doing a lot of probing for information. However, not all men are honest and some are looking to use our hearts against us in a variety of ways.
It is devastating to love a man, get married to him all for him to use you for papers and dump you later. So I want to talk about several insights regarding dating a man without his green card. https://datingafricanmen.blogspot.com...
Pt:1.Ladies who want true love but want to make sure they ain't being used
Sly green card marriage
-He is pressuring you for marriage way too soon
-You are finding out s&^% that isn't consistent (age, name, identity and other factors). Stuff ain't adding up.
-Once the papers are filed or he passes the first interview he starts acting crazy
Several men dated me under the guise of love and I never slept with these men but I took it very slow with them. I only listened and watched their actions. Around 2-3 months later these men would tell me that they had an emergency and if I could help them out. I asked them what kind of emergency are they having? They said that they needed to get married really quick and in order to save their job positions, they need to file for the green card. I asked them why didn't they tell me upfront. They said some kind of lame excuse and I didn't take it any further.
Real love but needs help down the road with his papers
-There is no surprise pressure for marriage or anything
-The African man is honest upfront
-His love is consistent & genuine (throughout your time together + his stuff adds up).
-Your gut feeling is telling you he is a good African man.
.
Pt:2.Ladies who don't mind getting paid for the green card
An old friend of mines reprimanded me years ago for marrying my Senegalese husband. He told me that he wished that I talked to him first and he would've hooked me up with an African guy that would pay me 10k plus give me other benefits. So at the time, my friend had finished helping this American black lady get connected to an African guy who helped to buy her a home and plus give her 10k in cash and help with childcare. Sounds...

DIRTY DOG SCAM Example: K is 37 years old and is located in XYZ region in African. He assesses his current situation and is tired of struggling in his country. One day he decides to tell his wife of his new plans. He tells her that they will always be together and he will love her and to avoid taking his new mission personal. He tells her that he will have to find a woman preferable "white" abroad to marry and use and then divorce her. After the divorce he will bring her to the country of promise. His wife agrees and he sets out to do that plan. K sets a goal in his mind. He really wants a white woman but if he can get any woman that is abroad, he will. He builds an online profile and throws out the bait of swag. He gets in the inboxes of many women and give out compliments and tells them great things about his life and how he is well off when he is not. He also tells his friend who is in the USA about what he needs and asks his friend to please hook him up. His friend happens to know several older white women ( ages 65 and 68) and talks about his friend K with them and ask them if they want to plan a trip one day to his country to visit and discover the beauty and culture. One of the ladies who is 68 says yes and that it has always been her dream to visit Africa etc. In the summertime the USA lady arrives in K's country and the friend shows her around and introduces her to K. He turns swag on and before you know it the connection is made. When the lady gets back home she finds that she can't get the kindness and uniqueness of K off her mind. She sends letters to K, and they constantly talk on the phone. She ends up buying another flight to see him again. He asks her to marry and if they can do it in the USA. She is shocked but happily agrees and calls an immigration lawyer to start the paperwork to bring him to the USA and help him all the way. Whenever K gets off the phone or receives a letter from the woman in the USA... He constantly assures his current wife that everything will be alright and that she is still the best woman that he's ever had. Whatever money the USA woman sends through Western Union he takes and shares it with his current wife and they both laugh at the situation.

Today, I will be talking too several groups of ladies. Those who are cultivating a long-distance relationship with their African man and those who are dating a man within their hometown.
I want to share some important tips that will help your relationship grow even tighter and deeper.
The main thing I want to encourage you ladies to do is please keep the wrong people out of your business. Our gut feeling does work for anyone that we associate with and I have been guilty in the past of spilling the beans of my issues to the wrong folks even though my gut said: "shut up"! I reaped the pain because of this bad choice. You know deep down inside if a woman or man means you well and sometimes we choose to ignore that voice due to history with the person etc... If your family or friends dislike foreigners (Africans, Caribbean, Asians, etc) and speak bad about them, don't bring your man around them often. I have done this and an argument between the guy I was dating and a friend almost broke out because of something crazy she asked him. She asked him does he have his green card not knowing that he was a citizen for over 10 years. He was enraged that he was asked that period and in front of others so loudly. Bring your guy around friends and family that have an open mind and won't cause crazy drama.
Tip: Once you see that this African man has dated you properly and loves you deeply, and is treating like the queen that you are....then surprise him sometimes with something special.
Now I can't tell you how you and your man should spend money on these things but what I will say is usually I would go half and half with my man concerning special dates and events.
Those in long-distance relationships
1. Frequent communication is so important. That line of connection is all you have to bring ya'll together and it is important that you two at least say good morning or "what's up baby"? Every day if possible! Whatsapp, Viper, Facebook, and Snap Chat are great ways to stay in frequent touch. I have a friend that I keep in touch with every other day and I can tell if things are off when I don't hear from him. If your guy is not keeping in touch much or making excuses then he is losing interest. Don't be fooled by "he's been so busy". A guy that is into you will make sure he keeps in touch no matter how busy, trust me I have been through this.

When you are miserable
You love this African man but something about him makes you miserable and you can't put your finger on what exactly it is. I have been in this situation before and I figured out that it was because this dude was not dating me properly. I was trying to make the relationship what I wanted it to be instead of seeing it for what it was which was a dead end. I had to break it off for my own happiness.
You make crazy excuses for this man all the time
When this African guy is doing something insane, you find yourself having to explain to folks why he did what he did. I had an associate that would always have to apologize and explain to folks why her man was a rude head. I also had to apologize to people when my 1st son's father acted like an ass hole in public. Big mistake.
You can't be you/he can't understand
You love this African man but the thing is, he doesn't get you and he doesn't even try to understand your feelings. When you talk to him about something, he brushes it off. Example: After sex, you tell him that you didn't like something he did and you wanted it another way. He then complains and turns the blame back on you. Little situations that you want to talk about to improve the relationship he doesn't want to hear it. Y'all is arguing over and over about the same old things.
He is too bossy and refuses to change for the better
Now, you had the talk with him concerning growth and what you envision and he despises it. You want to go back to school and get a better job whereas instead of encouraging you, he is sitting back secretly hating on you. He wants to be better than you and doesn't understand teamwork in a relationship. He is also becoming to argumentive, a pain or super disrespectful. You are no longer really enjoying his presence.
You envy other healthy relationships
You see the men in these relationships dating their women properly and taking her out and showering them with gifts and you get jealous. Or you see that the man really loves this woman and you are now wondering why this isn't happening to you. Sis, it is time to discover a man that really loves you because once you are in true love, you won't worry about what the next woman and man are doing.
You are doing everything
You find yourself having to plan date nights and even foot the bill most of the time for vacations. You also see that you have to practically get on him for his lack of thought for ya'll relationship. He fails to show you that you are truly loved by him. He stops putting in effort and commitment.
Your gut is screaming/things are looking grim
You frequently question (in your mind) why are you both together and deeply hope for a change. You aren't as happy as you use to be. You can also see that you have changed but not in the best ways. I have seen a situation where the lady has taken on a lot of the guy's negative behavior and ended up very depressed and saddened in the end. He is damaging you for the next man.... leave him asap!
Some ladies stay in bad relationships or even situationships for a long time and if you are one that is in one... you should sit down and write out the pros and cons of staying in this relationship. I realized that by writing down stuff in my journal, it gives me a better perspective of everything. Are you staying...

HERE'S THE 1ST VIDEO I CREATED 4 MEN https://datingafricanmen.blogspot.com/2019/09/10-tips-for-african-men-seeking.html
Are you original?
African men! If you are in the USA don't try to fit in with the men here by changing who you are and adapting weird traits ex: sagging pants, slang, hurting women. Don't allow the American culture to change you in a negative way. A lot of women like men that are original and different and are not trying to be like someone else. I love the uniqueness of African men (accent, culture, traditions) and this is something great that distinguishes you from American men.
Examine your bank account
Brothers if you are very low on funds and struggle with money, I don't encourage you to date a quality woman right now. Save your money or wait until you are in a better position financially. A quality woman is looking to see if you will value her time and presence. How you date her is showing her how much you value her. A lot of men told me about how they don't want to spend xyz on a lady because ladies are money hungry. Just because a woman requires a real date with real effort doesn't make her money-hungry. Here's the thing, it is your job to vet the lady well that you want to date. Men date women who they don't vet, spend money on them and then complain. One guy spent a lot of money on a lady who he later found out was on drugs and didn't appreciate his time and effort. He then stated that "all women are ungrateful and liars" which is wrong. The signs and red flags about a person are there along with your gut feeling.
These brothers are wrapped up in the outer appearance of the lady and everything else goes out the window. Look for compatibility along with attraction. What is a quality woman? A lady that has her stuff together & looks great, is drama-drug free and is going somewhere in life. A quality woman is going to want to go on a nice date, not Netflix & chill. I talked to several men before dating them and they started hinting that they don't pay for meals and all women are money hungry. When I dug deeper I discovered that they were too broke to date me. They should've saved or waited until they were in a better financial situation to date.
I usually like to split the bill because of many reasons but a quality African guy will not allow his date to pay. Paying for a quality woman's meal will cause you to stand out. No, financially well off African man ever complained about paying for my meal only men that we're broke and low on cash constantly talked bad about it. Don't be a guy who tries to make a lady feel bad and try to lower her standards because you can't afford her. Step up your game, a quality one will not settle for a man that is half stepping. If you are truly serious about this lady, you will step your game up 100%.
Ask questions in a smooth manner
Again guys are getting caught up without asking crucial questions and later regretting it. Here are some examples. Hey, I was just wondering if you smoke or drink because occasionally I like a Guinness. I work at XYZ as a bla bla bla what do you do?
Your Swag
This is my fourth time stressing appearance on this channel. A handsome African man that has on fabulous cologne and looking good is my weakness lol. A woman sees your presentation before you open your mouth and it should be on point. You are already ahead of alot of dudes by looking great.
Thoughtfulness
You will truly stand out by being thoughtful and sweet. Buying your date a single flower or small box of chocolates is showing that you thought about her. You are stepping up the game into a woman's heart. Not a lot of men do this. Chose a nice restaurant. It doesn't have to be an expensive spot. Taste and thoughtfulness is the key. I love it when a...

For many years, I have attracted many African men (good, bad, high and low quality). Although I loved the African culture, I couldn't understand why every time I engaged in a simple conversation with an African man, it led to him wanting to date me. Some of these men were married and pastors, and I don't date these types of men. I was able to unlock even the toughest guys for some reason to the point of them sharing the most sacred details of their lives. However, I was puzzled as to why I feel like a magnet. After much thought and talking to a few close friends and family I found out it was because of my mouth.
Whenever I spoke about what I knew regarding the man's homeland, I immediately sparked an interest in the guy and once I found this out I watched how I approached African men. African men are not use to American people understanding their culture, tradition, and ways and are shocked when they meet someone that knows the details of their region.
A lot of African people face stereotypical problems with Americans (ignorance, bad jokes, misunderstandings) from what my friends told me and this is sad. So by me knowing these things I stand out and you can too. At this point, I am not dating African men or using my attraction magnet because I have goals I am working on. I have dated many but never slept with each man I dated. I dated the most African guys as a virgin and stayed that way until I met my 1st son's father who is Senegalese. I attracted and dated to see compatibility and whether the guy really has an interest in me and is not trying to use me for sex or papers or both. I needed to know his heart and followed my gut and the signs that he gave me through his actions and words.
Here are some of my tips below for if you are out in public and want to meet some guys.
When I met an African man, I first ask which country in Africa he is from. Here's an example: "Are you from West Africa? If so, are you from 9ja, Ghana or Togo? 90% tell me they are from 9ja. Once I say this I have the man's attention. They then say "how do you know this about Africa"? If they say 9ja then I ask what part of 9ja "Lagos, Anambra state, River state, or where"? At this point, the guy is really intrigued as to how I know this and we then continue to engage in a cool convo about his region and if he is in the USA to stay or what. He then either asks for my number and or other details about my life. Knowledge is power!
Learning more and more about the different parts of Africa can open cool doors for you to attract African men and even meet some loyal friends. I encourage you to visit some African churches like MFM and others. Now your choice of churches depends on what type of African men you are attracted to. Do you love South African men? West African men? North African men? East African men? Do a Google search according to your preference. Whenever I went to church, I always was friendly and made good connections and was invited to a slew of celebrations and traditional get-togethers. I love it! When you do go to these places, blend in by wearing the African attire of the country and have a good time. Remember, although you will attract all of these men you don't have to date them if you don't want to. There is nothing wrong with good conversation only.

BEWARE OF SOME FRIENDS & FAMILY: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TELL YOUR BUSINESS TO!
Welcome to today's blog post. I hope that the information helps you in the area of friendships and family relationships. It has really been on my heart to discuss this.
Down throughout the year, I have found myself having to burn bridges for a variety of reasons. Although it was sad to do, in a way I found it necessary. Disconnecting from a person doesn't necessarily mean that they are a bad person sometimes things happen that bring about that cut. I thank my lucky stars that I didn't tell all of my serious business to them because they would've used it as a weapon once they saw that the friendship came to an end. I am apart of a lot of relationship groups and I can't understand why people are in a major rush to tell family and friends serious things like their STD status, marital issues, and sexual problems. Many in these groups rush and tell people only to get burned in the end by the same people using what they said as a weapon. Please discern people before you tell your life to. Please listen to me carefully.
Here are some reasons, to keep your business private:
Some folks are secretly haters: In my younger days, I had a best friend I would talk with about everything but I noticed that she would laugh along with my enemies when they would insult me than apologize later. Anything positive I would do she would try to get in on it and speak negatively about it. I have run into more people like this when I got older. These people feel great when something bad or negative happens to you and they put you in a certain category in their mind which is beneath them. As long as they are shining they are happy but once you get on an equal level or greater, that becomes an issue. I hear it often, how people notice folks are acting shady around them once they break out of poverty, get into a great relationship or achieve an accomplishment that no one in their family did.
Some folks like to sabotage positive growth, success for fear it will change you
I remember reading a question from a lady who was talking about how she decided to stop bad-mouthing others and using profanity and her friend told her that she feels like the relationship is not the same since she made that change. She doesn't feel that connection anymore with her. The friend didn't want to lose that relationship because she shared so much with the friend from childhood so she reverted back to her old ways to keep the connection. Listen, folks, growth hurts people who are wrong for your life.
Some people are just trifling snakes.
I have run into so many trifling people and it is sad. These people want to seem like a friend and get all in your business all to turn around and tell others and stab you in the bad.

WWYD? PT:1 In these Relationship Situations (African men & American women couples)
Source:
https://www.spreaker.com/user/howtodateanafricanman/wwyd-pt-1-in-these-relationship-situatio
Today, I will be discussing some difficult relationship situations that commonly happen with some American ladies and African men & vice versus. I want to know what would you do in these situations and I will give you my take on the matter.
... I am not implying that I am perfect and those of you that have watched my videos know my story.... this is not judging these individuals but offering insight as it is imperative that these situations be discussed so that we all can learn from them. Similar cases are happening all over the world and hopefully, this episode can help someone not make these same mistakes and choices.
1. Couple: Debora and Able
Debora (age 30) is from Fresno, California, and Able (age 32) is from Guinea but has lived in California for a year now. Debora works as an accountant and Able works with a friend he told her doing electrical work. They met 6 months ago through a mutual friend at a party. Within 2 months of meeting, Able moved into Debora's house. He did all kinds of lovely things for Debora such as cooking for her and being so kind and affectionate. Debora believed that she found the right guy and fell in love and didn't bother to do any type of background check or ask any prodding questions. She helped him from the ground up in doing a lot of things to help him adjust to Cali. They soon get married and she finds out that he needs his green card which was new to her and she found a lawyer to help her sponsor Able. In the preparation meeting with the immigration lawyer, Debora discovers that Able is not his real name and his age is not what he told her. He was using someone else's identity all this time to work and to do other stuff. Mohammad is his real name and he is really 40 years old. She wonders how did she miss this info. He sits there and tries to explain why but she isn't hearing it. She then tells him that it is over and she wants nothing to do with him anymore. Debora tells the lawyer to dismiss the filing and they leave. Able is really pissed off because he won't be getting his papers. Once home he curses her out as if she did something wrong, he gets his stuff and leaves and goes to a friend's house. Debora feels used and hurt and confused. Where did she go wrong?
My take: The bottom line is Debora failed to vet her man and ask prodding questions as to who he really is and his motives. I was in a similar situation but not to the point I had sex with the guy or moved him in. I asked prodding questions in a joking way once on our date and he told me enough to know that he wasn't for me. By doing your investigation earlier, it will save you some heartache and pain.

Afaafa and John
John (age 38) is from Atlanta, Ga and Afaafa (age 36) is from Kenya and has lived in ATL for 2 years. John saw Afaafa in the store and approached her and they both hit it off really good. Afaafa works as a cleaner and John works as a server under his friend who is the owner. Afaafa told John upfront about her situation John understood and stated he would stand by her no matter what. Afaafa and John got married within the year and things were very loving but later took a downward turn. Afaafa soon found John to be very controlling and emotionally abusive after asking him to file for her papers. He did but it came at a price. He constantly insults her culture, accent and the way she does things. She constantly called a friend of hers to give her advice and her friend advised her to leave the relationship. Afaafa stated that it is not about the papers although she needs them, she is still in love with John. She, therefore, ignored the advice and decides to hang in there. Day in and day out John was more and more emotionally abusive and this time physically. He called Afaafa all kinds of names and accused her of a variety of things that she never did. Afaafa's friend once again told her to leave and Afaafa told them that she is on the verge of getting her green card and that she can't ruin this chance. 10 months after the initial filing, Afaafa gets a letter in the mail that an initial interview has been scheduled in October and she is relieved. Months pass and she is one week away from the interview. She finally decides to shares the news with John while they were in the car and upon hearing this, he took out his keys and stabbed her up so bad that she lands in the hospital for a couple of days and is unable to go to the upcoming interview. John is also arrested for assault and bodily harm. Afaafa is hurt and saddened about the whole relationship thing. What happened here? ........ DATINGAFRICANMEN.BLOGSPOT.COM FOR MORE OF THE STORY

Today, I will be talking about dating and relationships with African men that are of the Islamic faith. Don't worry, this is not a bashing writeup but one that can shed some insight. Those of you that have watched a majority of my videos know the history of my relationships with Muslim Senegalese men so I won't talk too much about it here. There are a lot of ladies out here that are on the fence in terms of getting with an African man that is of the Islamic faith, and I am not telling you to do it or not to do it but listen to my story and consider the questions near the end.
When I got into a relationship with my boyfriend my now ex-husband I was not really walking in the faith as I should. I didn't pray or go to church as often and did some things that were considered a sin. My man also confessed to not being really on target as a proper Muslim and told me that it is ok for a Muslim man to marry a Christian woman. He stated he had no problem with my beliefs. Christians told me that according to the bible 2 Corn 6:14 stated: "be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers". Eventually, I took his side and we got married. However, things later took a turn.
Around the age of 26, I decided to get more serious about living right as a Christian. I started praying more and attending church 2x a week and also doing midnight prayers and dry fasting to see the hand of God. As my husband saw this, he became very unhappy and although I did my wifely duties, he was still unhappy with how I was increasing my faith in God at the time. When I would be in the closet praying at midnight or playing a YouTube prayer video he demanded it to stopped or off. Sometimes, he would come to the prayer closet just to disturb and stop me from praying and do something that he wanted. My obedience to my faith at the time caused serious tension in my home. My husband at the time began stepping up his faith by going to the mosque more and other stuff.
When we first met he said he will be a man to only one wife but all of a sudden he began throwing it out there on how according to his faith he can have more than one wife as long as he can take care of them. Now, around this time, I started going to Deeper Life Christian church in Brooklyn and I started having worse marital issues because when I would get ready to go to church my husband would take my car and I called on the pastor for prayers about this. Also being apart of Deeper Life required me to dress down without makeup, jewelry or wigs and weaves and he didn't like that. But I believed at the time that God was calling me to do all of this stuff, but I later found out I was deceived in many ways following this. Later on, I joined a prayer boot camp group and saw some ladies in there that were complaining that their unbelieving husbands told them to stop praying and they had to drop out of the program.
So I feel in this situation, we both grew in our religions and it took us in different directions that caused conflicts but this doesn't have to happen this way to you. Here are some things to talk about with your man and consider. I remember a story of a confused Christian man who married a Muslim woman than divorced her because he felt the spirit told him that he was unequally yoked and then he married her again because he said that the spirit told him again that divorce was forbidden. I felt bad that this dude was really deceived. Once married, he should've just cultivated the relationship but to each his own.
Questions for you to consider?
Are you on the fence in your beliefs or are you strict but compromising a little? What if you get a revelation? Would you abandon your current relationship to follow the spirit? Where would you draw the line faith wise? Ex: deal breakers? Would you be ok with a man that deeply loves you and cares for you but uses native rituals along with his faith?
Questions to think...

BLACK AMERICAN MEN VS. AFRICAN MEN. WHY I LOVE DATING AFRICAN MEN.
Many friends, family, and peers have often asked me why do I date African men? I didn't know the answer at the time, but after much thought, I have the answer.
Read my write-up very carefully. I am not putting down my black American brothers, in fact, I have dated a few in my lifetime.
However, my initial
preference is African men but I have no problem dating races like Caucasian, Asian and Spanish and black as long as they have a good heart and no drama. In this post, I list the reasons why I love dating African men.
The approach is da truth
As I started attending African churches from a young age, African men began approaching me. I noticed their approach was very different from black American men. Almost all of the African men have addressed me very respectfully and it blew my mind. Many black men who try to talk to me come off very sexual and disrespectful. I had several men talk about sex within the first few conversations with me and I called them out on it and cut them loose. The African men I have dated always were encouraging, very educated and calm.
So sweet and kind
The African men I have dated were so sweet and kind. Some were very thoughtful and just was there for me in a variety of ways. The two black men that I have dated were also nice in their own way but not really thoughtful. African brothas have that swag smoke and it is sooo addicting.
Appearance
The African men that I was in a relationship with knew how to dress and smell good. They took pride in their appearance and looked their best. This is something that I didn't see in the two black men that I dated. It was my fault for choosing them to date. Now, there are black men and African men that don't take pride in how they look but I haven't seen many African men that don't and this is my experience.
Cultural
I absolutely enjoy exploring the culture of the guy I am dating. It is so intriguing and brings something new to talk about with him. I love when an African man can cook and show me different dishes that are so delicious. This also makes dating an African guy addicting. I also love to learn about the different dances and history and these men know their stuff. I already know a lot about the American culture so it's nothing to really talk about with a black American man unless we are chatting about boring politics.
Overview. Now these are my reasons for dating an African man and I say, a man is a man no matter the race or culture. There are some quality black men out there just like there are African men and there are horrible African men out there just like there are black American men. I have even had some issues down throughout the years in my dating & relationship experience with a few African men, so I am not trying to say that they are 100% better than black American men because that would be biased.
Now, ladies understand this. When you are dating a handsome African man that approached you well, is sweet and kind and looks great...you still gotta do the work. What do I mean? Peel back the "oh he's so cute, sweet and loving and looks awesome" and get to the core of the man. Who is this man? What is his motive for approaching me? Is he looking for genuine love or another sister to play games with?
If you get hooked on the swag smoke, you can end up with a dangerous or narcissistic man who looks fabulous on the outside but has so many issues on the inside. You will find yourself ignoring red flags and settling just because he looks and smells good. Open your eyes with books from G.L Lambert, Bruce Bryans and Sherry Argov and of course me once my book comes out. Be safe and have fun!!

AVOID DATING THESE 5 TYPES OF AFRICAN MEN!
Ladies, I am writing this article from my heart because I want you to be safe and aware.
My 1st son's father was very controlling and jealous and to be honest ladies, I thought that meant he loved me more and wanted to keep me closer to him. Well, that was further from the truth, this man was trying to get me from everyone that loved me to destroy and mistreat me. My mother even came down from NYC while I was still in Atlanta to warn me to get out of that dangerous relationship. I told my mom that I was in love and that he loves me and promised to take care of me. Well, ladies, I like a fool gave this man my income tax check and he spent it and still blamed me for his bills and such. It was insane. I finally left after this wolf tried to hit me one day. That was the day I left and never looked back. Any guy that is telling you to leave those who are supporting you with good advice and other essential things is no good and is looking to isolate and mistreat you. I have not only gone through this but have seen others go through this down throughout the years. BE AWARE. African men that are very jealous are not good to date. You will not be able to go out in peace without him wanting to know your every move. Jealousy doesn't mean love at all, it's a sign that your man is emotionally immature.
Too attached to his family
It is a good sign when a man respects his family and has a healthy relationship with them, but some men are too attached to their family members and that can get in the way of the relationship. I remember hearing a man complain to a relationship group that I am in ...that he can't go a day without calling his family and telling them everything, and his concerns is that his current girlfriend wants time alone with him on their upcoming vacation and she doesn't want him on the phone all the time with his family during those moments. Alot of people in the group told him to please spend time with his lady and tell his family that he will get back to them once the vacation is over.
Very cheap/looking for a maid
Ladies, some African men just don't want to put in the effort or time to date or cultivate a healthy relationship. I remember dating this guy who was mad cheap. Complaining about the prices of food and how he didn't want to spend etc. He showed me how much he valued me by how he dated me. I didn't entertain it any further as I understood that if he is cheap now then down the road it will still be the same.
Avoid dating African men that want to use you for maid duties. You aren't a maid but a queen. You shouldn't be picking up behind no man whether you are his girlfriend or not. Please get this book called "Why men love bitches" by Sherry Argov. Now this book isn't encouraging you to have nasty arrogant behavior, it is showing you how to win love with common sense. Some men may say "show me you are wife material by doing household duties". Say "no sir". I am in several relationship groups and women are complaining that they are doing XYZ and the guy is either acting up, cheating on them or taking them for granted. Don't be a fool for love.
Lack of ambition/lazy/set in his ways
Sis, please avoid men who don't have any future plans to improve their lives. Those African men are damn boring and don't care to make their lives greater. They are lazy and can also get jealous if they see you making moves in your life. Date men who are trying to build a legacy and enjoy becoming better versions of themselves.
Now moving on to the second part. A guy that is set in his ways is not good to have a relationship with. When you enter a relationship, you both are supposed to grow together and life is all about evolving into the best version of yourself and enjoying it to the fullest. If you are only...

10 TIPS FOR AFRICAN MEN SEEKING AN AMERICAN WOMAN
This information is for quality men of African descent that are seeking to really love American woman.
Get educated
Many men that I have spoken to are not educated on how to handle a lady. If you are serious about finding an American queen to love you should be buying books and looking at relationship videos on YouTube from guy coaches such as Coach Corey Wayne and others. My favorite author G.L.Lambert also has a book that is out called "She ain't it". It is important to educate yourself on the mind of a woman and your approach.
Alpha vs Beta males
An African Alpha male shows a lot of confidence in his words and actions. Beta African men are the opposite. Are you an Alpha or not? They look women in the eyes and speak. They recognize their values and skills. They give off warrior vibes. Alpha African males help others and have a good heart.
You don't have to be rude, disrespectful or mean to become an alpha. Alphas can connect with women in using emotions and getting on the woman's level. Many people think you have to be all tough and crazy, that is not true. It all starts with believing in yourself.
Look up info about this.
Appearance on fleek
I have run into some African men that don't care too much or are too busy to cultivate their appearance. Your presentation is the first thing that a woman sees. Make sure you are looking good and smelling good.
Be a gentleman
Some African dudes have too much ego and refuse to open the door to a place when they see a woman coming up behind them. Be kind and practice being considerate. This can create a chance for you to talk to that lady later on depending on the environment.
Desperation
Women can sense if you are desperate by the questions and the vibes you give off. This chases ladies away. Also, asking the same questions over and over in hopes of winning a lady will turn her off. Low self-esteem comes into play when a man has been rejected over and over and has come to a place where he feels undatable and many times reaches for the first lady that winks at him or is nice. Watch and research videos on YouTube on how to approach a woman. Develop your own swag.
Too much Ego
Anytime a man tells me this and that about him and how he's the greatest, I automatically think that he is controlling. Avoid praising yourself too much because it is a turn-off.
Serious vs not serious...make a move
Women like men that take charge and make plans, I know I do. If you see that an American woman has taken interest in you avoid texting all the time and pick up the phone and ask her out on a date. A lot of men miss out because they are into playing games instead of taking action on a quality lady.
Show some effort!
Some men like to half-ass things. I have dated some men that didn't want to take me out to a cool restaurant or show any kind of effort. I blocked them. Your effort shows how much you value her (flowers, dates, and time). A man that is into a quality woman will want to show her that she should date him. I found that some men are concerned about spending money on the wrong woman and refuse to show any effort... so this is why I go back to researching dating videos from men coaches.
Be honest
No American woman likes a liar. Be a man that is upfront and honest and truthful. Avoid exaggerating about stuff, it is a turn-off and women will know. Please take heed.
Annoying sexual advances/marriage too soon
Some men give off vibes that they want sex soon and that is a turn-off to women. Please avoid sending any dick pics or asking about the lady's sexual history too soon.

6 PERSONAL QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR AFRICAN MAN | SERIOUS INFORMATION TO GLEAN
Down throughout the years, I have dated a lot of different types of African men that prefer to conceal certain types of information for a variety of reasons.
Today, I will discuss the top 6 questions that you need to sit down, look your man in the eye and ask him. The purpose of this article is to encourage you ladies to make sure you are not being played and make sure you are in a secure trustworthy relationship with your African man.
These are questions that only your man can answer and a background check can't really detect sometimes. Don't fall too in love that you avoid asking these questions for fear of finding out something. Would you rather be deceived or informed?
419/Yahoo Boys/scammers and men with ill intentions will not like this video or any other content on this channel or my blog. Ladies, avoid heartbreak by asking questions and getting the truth upfront.
His real age
Only 2 out of the many African men that I have run across were honest and disclosed their real age. You need to ask your man how old he really is. Some African men that are in the UK, USA or Canada have had some kind of change to their age on the birth certificate or papers in order to get into the country. Whatever age the birth certificate says his USA ID will say. Ask him upfront to tell you. If he is honest with you then that is good, but if he is not, I encourage you to leave that alone. I met my 1st son's father at age 19 and he showed me an ID that said he was 28 but later he disclosed that he was really 40. My ex-husband also did the same thing and deceived me. Ask upfront.
Wife and Kids
Ask your African man if he is really married back home or has kids. A lot of African men may be in the USA, Canada or the UK but they are working towards a goal. The goal could be to find an American woman and marry her and become a citizen down the road, then bring over the wife and kids. Discern and listen to him very closely. Honestly, I hate to go extreme by telling you to get a lie detector test but you may have to if your gut is telling you he is lying. I have run across some really smooth-talking liars. Please be aware.
Green Card/Papers
Some African men shy down regarding talking about their immigration status in general. It is up to you to be upfront and not be scared to ask your man if he is here on a student visa, work visa or what? Your love goal should be not to be deceived in any way. See past the swag smoke into the real intentions of any African guy that you decide to date. Your heart is serious business and you should stop seeing any man that is lying to you about his status.
Source of Income
There are some African men that are addicted to scamming & defrauding others and it is really important that you verify what kind of job he does. You don't want the FEDs to knock on your door one day or you be accused of being an accessory to a crime you have never done. Have you ever seen him at his job? Does he have proof that he really works there? Is he working under the table? If so, why? These are questions you need to ask.
A person told me about how this lady fell in love with an African man and gave him control over her business. Well, the guy began to scam the government by filing bad tax returns and she had no clue about it. Soon the feds were knocking on her door and she went to jail and he did as well. Be wise ladies.
Family Members
I have noticed that a lot of African people, in general, like to call someone that they have known for decades their cousin, sister, brother and so on. If your African guy introduces you to a person and says "this is my brother", "cousin" or "sister" or "aunt" you should later ask if that is his blood-related relative. It is important to distinguish the blood relatives...

IS MY AFRICAN MAN PLAYIN' ME? 7 SIGNS HE'S NO GOOD FOR YOU!
No actions smooth talker
Your African man will tell you that he will pick you up to do XYZ and ya'll will go here and there but in his heart, he will not do it. When the time approaches for him to live up to his word he will make excuses on why he couldn't do XYZ. He will fill your head with hope and anticipation about things he knows he won't do. Be aware and on guard. A man that is really into you will fulfill his word with actions.
He's a damn liar/Social media
You start finding out that some of the things your African man is telling you ain't true. So for instance, he may say...I was never married before, but one day you run into someone that knows him and they mention something about knowing he was married or you run across some information about him. This is why background checks are crucial before getting your heart tied up into him. Now, this is depending on the playa some playa's don't add women to their social media accounts. Concerning the social media... he tells you that he was at work but he posts a story and it shows him at the bar.
He doesn't go out with you
Playas are very wary about being seen out in public with a woman because he doesn't want to risk another lady seeing him with that person. Playas always offer to dine by food delivery to the house.
You will not be meeting his friends and family
But It really depends on the playa.
Here are several reasons for this.
A) He will be open to meeting your folks but you won't be meeting his anytime soon for the most part. His folks know that he plays games and he doesn't want to risk losing a chance to play you by being exposed. Now I with a playa that did introduce me to two of his friends but they were playa's also.
B) He doesn't want his family to see multiple women each week because that will make him look bad.
No consistency
One week he may call you and the other week he is playing the disappearing act. You wonder what is going on and why is he acting like this. Well, during the time he disappeared on you he was playing other women.
No future plans
If a man is into you, you will not have to guess on if he will take proper actions to make you exclusive. However, if you are dealing with a playa...he will avoid talking about making future plans with you. Some ladies find themselves asking "where is this going"? At this point, he can either ghost you after using you for sex and other stuff or stick around and keep playin the game.
Your Gut tells you something ain't right
Your intuition is constantly telling you that something is up and you have an uneasiness. 99% of the time your gut could be right. Listen to it don't shake this feeling off even though you can't pinpoint exactly what the issue is! Join FBK relationship groups and asks questions.

7 INSIGHTS BUILDING THE RIGHT FOUNDATION WITH YOUR AFRICAN MAN
The foundation of your relationship determines the success of your love long term. I want to encourage you today to build the right groundwork for your love. Ladies stop being afraid to ask your man questions concerning your relationship with him. Many ladies are afraid they will "chase" off their guy if they keep it real. Don't be timid and speak up if something is bothering you. If he runs off then he was not right for you.
Self-love
It all boils down to you loving yourself fully before getting into the relationship. Many women feel that a man loving them will complete them and it won't. Find joy in yourself and love yourself fully first. Build up your self-confidence and know your worth. If you don't do this first, you will give off desperate, needy vibes and this will set you up for an experience that will break your heart. Don't rely on his moods to show you love or you will be on a rollercoaster. He can't fill that big void in your heart. Loving yourself says whether he stays or goes, I am still the bomb and I am a great woman still.
Value & Respect
A relationship thrives on the importance of value. Do you feel safe and comfortable around this man? I mean really do you? Is your gut down in your soul telling you this relationship is good for you or are you ignoring some big red flags? Does this African guy diminish your sense of worth in any way? Is he constantly talking down to you or insulting you? Can both of you have a peaceful conversation and listen to each other respectfully? Are you willing to respect the fact that he may prepare some African dishes you aren't used to? Are you willing to try them?
Drop your fantasy
Don't try to shape your man into what you imagined him to be or try to change him. Girl, what you see is what you get. For instance, if your man has an anger problem and has a habit of knocking things down...he has to make up in his mind that he wants to change. If you press him to stop....he may change for a little while but will be back to his same ole ways. Why? Because he didn't come to the conclusion that this is a really big issue for him although it is for you. You see it and therefore want to change it. Ladies, you can never change a man. He's got to do the work on his own. Discontinue trying to build a man into what you've always dreamed of. This mindset is what causes disappointment. Know upfront what you will be dealing with.
Listen
It is very important to listen to what your man is saying and don't brush it aside or ignore it. Ignoring what is important to your man can strain the relationship. So for instance, when I was dating my Senegalese man wanted me to make more time for him. I made excuses due to busyness. Our relationship began to rock and it was all because I failed to listen and implement what he expressed. I am not saying you need to bend to his every wish but communicate and work it out.
Religion
Ladies think real hard about what I am trying to say. If your African man is Muslim or Christian and you are of another faith, you really need to make sure that you are 100% comfortable with this. Not 98% or 99% I mean 100%. I have run into a lot of African men who are Muslim. In fact, my ex-husband is Muslim. At the time of meeting him, I was a Christian. He stated he was ok with my faith and we would live in harmony. Later on, I found out that was not the case. He was a lukewarm Muslim, and once married he became more strict, and that affected me as I couldn't even pray in the privacy of my closet. He would get very upset. Ladies really use discernment in going down this path. By talking about religion up front, and using your gut this will save you from trouble later on.
True love
Do you know the difference between real love and lust? Are most of his conversation...

7 WAYS TO COMMUNICATE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR AFRICAN MAN :)
Hey and thank you for visiting this blog. Today's topic is concentrating on how to maintain great communication with your African guy. Communication is very important and can help keep your relationship healthy and happy. Lack of communication can cause a break down in the relationship and the eventual demise of mutual love and affection. Take my personal tips below.
Avoid Texting your concerns - You want your African partner to take you seriously and conveying important messages via phone or messenger is not really good. He can misinterpret it and this can start an unnecessary argument. You need to look at your man in the eye and talk to him and feel his responses.
Find the best time to talk - I encourage you to look for a time that your African man is more relaxed. I wouldn't suggest that you try to talk to your guy before he goes to work or once he comes through the door from a stressful day at work. Once he unwinds, then calmly approach him and tell him that you want to talk. Remember to be respectful because nothing turns off a man more than a woman that is nagging or disrespectful.
Quash all distractions - Don't engage in conversation with your African man when he is watching a game or his favorite show or on the phone. If this message is very important please make sure that you aren't engaged in cooking, cleaning or anything else. You want to sit down and look him in the eyes and clearly convey your message.
Start off with compliments - Words like "baby I thank you for what you did the other day" or "honey you looked so good today" or "I know you love me and I love you too....then get into the meat of your message.
Stay on topic - Avoid getting off-topic or beating around the bush. Be very direct and straight to the point. I find African guys like it more when a lady is more upfront with what is bothering her.
Avoid having a long drawn out conversation, speak up and tell him what is on your mind.
Avoid pointing fingers - Blaming him for something will push him away even though you may be right. Most African men don't tolerate being blamed even though they could be in the wrong. I encourage you to not blame but say something like "baby I am not trying to blame you for anything but this is how I am feeling about Xyz situation".
Listen to your man - This all goes back to respect. Allow your man to respond without talking or interrupting him. Make sure you listen well to him. Take turns hearing each other out.

4 COMMON ISSUES IN RELATIONSHIPS- AMERICAN WOMEN & AFRICAN MEN
Welcome and thank you for reading this blog post. This write-up will talk about some of the common problems in relationships with American/African men.
By tackling these issues early on, you will stay on the path to a healthy relationship with your African man.
No solid communication- Some ladies are scared to tell their man the truth regarding different things. It could be hygiene, sex or a habit that is annoying. It is important to communicate with your man on a calm level and tell him what is on your mind. If you don't know what to say, you should look up YouTube videos on "how to communicate in a relationship with a man". One man told me in confidence that he didn't know why his woman became very distant sexually and he tried asking her and she didn't tell him only avoided him. I started working with this man and noticed several things. He had very poor hygiene and when I asked him some questions about romancing his wife, he shared he doesn't really do nice things for her. Had his woman told him the problems, I believe he would've improved for her love. He couldn't improve because he didn't know what was the problem. I didn't mention his mistakes to him, because I didn't feel it was my place to convey that to him at that moment and plus I was working for him lol.
No Respect- It is very important to respect the man that you are with. If he is wrong about something, don't yell scream or get violent. Calmly tell him what the issue is without insulting his heritage, tradition or him in general. Although there are some African men that don't tolerate disrespect, I have seen some that are treated like a dog by their women. I noticed the ones that don't have their papers being maltreated by some American women. My ex-husband's friend didn't have his papers and his wife would mistreat him and throw him out of the house all because of trivial things. He worked very hard, and I discerned he was a nice man but for some reason, he could never leave this monster of a lady.
No Honesty- This virtue is very important to have. Broken hearts happen when there is no honesty and that leads to distrust. This goes both ways. So some people out here withhold their STD status and lie about other things to avoid early on rejection from their partner. However, down the road, the truth is discovered and this rocks the relationship to the core. Being upfront from the get-go can help your relationship have a solid honest foundation.
Lack of understanding the culture- I remember coming home from working 12.5 hours & getting into a heated argument with my ex-husband over him cooking a dish from Guinea (his family is from but he was born in Senegal). The dish looked like an okra stew and when he put a certain spice in it, the smell was overwhelming. I told him to trash the fresh food that he just made because my house would have this odor. Upon hearing this, we both got into a screaming match about this food. He stated, "you know I am from Africa, why do you have an issue with this, you know it is in my culture"! Looking back, I see I made a bad mistake. I could've asked him calmly if he could close the kitchen door and opened the windows or worked out some kind of solution to avoid having an argument about this food.

Greetings & welcome to my blog. My name is C Ann. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga and moved to Brooklyn, NY where I lived for 13 years before relocating to Buffalo, NY. I am an author, mother, and entrepreneur. Since I was around 14/15 years old, I began attending West African celebrations and events. I have befriended and dated many low & high-quality African men down throughout the years. I was married to a Senegalese man for 6 years and knew him for 10. I want to share with my American women the right ways to approach a man from that cool continent. On this blog, I will be sharing how to attract a quality African man that is not a scammer or "419". UNNOTICED HIGH-QUALITY AFRICAN MEN
Down throughout the years, I missed out on handsome, high-quality African men due to my pettiness. These men were clean, hardworking and had a heart of gold, but I ignored them due to crazy expectations and stupidity.
Not every high-quality African man drives a fancy car or has a six-figure job. There are men who have a heart of gold and would do what it takes to make a woman of quality theirs. The reason why I say they are "hidden" is that some women ignore or pass them up because they aren't filthy rich or have a certain appeal.
I am not encouraging you to settle at all. I want to help you see that there are quality African men out there that will not play with your heart or run games. These men could currently in college, working a blue-collar job or running a small business. These men have aspirations and will be very successful one day but right now they building the blocks all by themselves. This is good because these men are putting things in motion without any help from any lady which means they are motivated to be awesome.
Now there is a lot of people talking about NOT being a fixer-upper woman to men and I am not telling you to do this. You should be a mountain woman to a man. In this write-up, I am simply pointing out hidden high-quality men who are quietly working towards future success. Below I will share several examples of high-quality men that I missed.
Info: I have never slept with these guys. I dated the most African guys when I was a virgin, until the age of 19 when I met my first son's father.
1st Quality African man I missed out on
I was 18 years old when my mentor told me to leave my no good Senegalese first son's father alone. He sat me down and told me about a Ghanian man that we both knew. He was very strong, and handsome and had a heart of gold. This man was renting a room from him and was in his final year of studying to be an engineer. This guy was single, extremely nice, had his papers, and we often ate together when I would visit my mentor. He rented this room to save money for a home once he finished grad school. I told my mentor I don't want to be with him or date him because I didn't think he was my type plus I hated the sandals he would wear. In the end, I missed out on this guy because of something petty.
My reflections/advice
I turned down this awesome guy to date my first son's father which was a big mistake. My first son's father had the swag and money but no love and compassion. He treated me horrible. Looking back I see where I went wrong.
Don't be so petty and naive like I was. Look at the heart and intentions of the guy and then weigh out everything else.
2nd Quality African man I missed out on
I was around 23 years old when I encountered this Nigerian man back in Brooklyn, New York. He was very intelligent and was a doctor. He had his act together and he was single for sure. However, I wasn't serious and picked out a...

7 WAYS TO KNOW YOUR AFRICAN MAN REALLY LOVES YOU
He wants to hear and see you.
An African man that is falling for you wants to see and talk to you. Texting will not be enough. I have found that men that just like to text instead of call have very little interest in really getting to know me. All high-quality men that I have met wanted to hear and see me. Therefore they picked up the phone and set aside time for a date.
He is vulnerable to you.
He trusts you enough to share details with you that he doesn't share with others. It could be anything or something serious or important that happened to him in the past that is still affecting him. He is sharing this with you to find a solution that will ease his pain. I remember one guy telling me of a sexual trauma he faced that he never shared with anyone. Together we were able to work out a solution for him.
He begins to make long-term plans with you.
He says stuff like "we should start planning this and that". He is envisioning you in his future and this means he doesn't want to let you go.
He shows he cares for you.
This man begins doing little nice things for you and making sure you are ok. If you are sick he may bring some soup over or help you out with a task. When I and my Senegalese ex-husband were dating, he would cook great soup and stuff when I was ill. He would also look after my son and play games with him.
He makes you a priority.
It doesn't matter how busy he gets. This man will make sure to carve out time to talk to you to see how you are doing. He will also set time aside to see you. This African man desires to connect with you and no matter what he is calling or letting you know in some way that you are on his mind.
He wants you to know his family and friends.
An African man that is getting serious with you, will want you to know his family and his friends. He will have nothing to hide.
He supports your dreams.
This African man loves it when you talk about your dreams and ambitions. He is not jealous of your promotion or achievements. He wants you to soar and have the best in life. I have met a few men that were not too happy that I was an author and entrepreneur because that made them feel bad for some reason. If this African man supports you then that is super great.

HOW TO BECOME A HIGH-QUALITY AMERICAN WOMAN FOR A HIGH-QUALITY AFRICAN MAN
Evaluate yourself - do you have low self-esteem? Are you waiting on just any guy to tell you that you are the bomb? If so, you need to work on your self-perspective first. If not, you will not be able to see through the swag smoke and will attract a lot of low-quality men who will waste your time with lies and deceit.
You will be duped and this will cause you to view all African men in a negative light.
How is your appearance? Are you taking time to look and smell great? A high-quality man is looking for a woman that cares about her appearance. Many African men love to show their woman off to their friends and family. By looking great, you feel great and quality men notice this.
Are you willing to be fascinated by the African culture and background of the man? If not, don't look for an African man to date. Knowledge of his specific region must be studied so you can understand how to connect with him.
For instance, my Nigerian friend is from Benin City and loves sharing the history of it. I also have studied that region because it excites him. Like I said in my other video. Once You get a quality man find what excites him and keep that fire burning. I will make an upcoming video on how foreknowledge of specific areas of Africa will draw a quality man in asap. Trust me you will learn a lot from that video.
Are you willing to cook some traditional dishes? I for one know how to cook Senegalese Jollof rice, Thieboudienne/Ceebu Jen and Ceebu Yap. I also know how to cook Ghanaian fufu and okra stew. I am currently learning how to cook Egusi soup as that is my Nigerian friend's favorite. Find recipes online and on YouTube. Your willingness to learn how to cook his traditional dish will surely excite him to the fullest.
Do you have goals and aspirations? A high-quality African man is reaching for higher heights. He has serious goals. He could be going to college or desiring to start a business. The different African men I spoke to told me how they spoke to many American women and they had no goals and aspirations for the future and therefore had nothing much to talk about. They told me how I stood out from the rest because of my plans for my life.
Are you willing to drop the hoodness? This doesn't apply to all women but I have seen it where a lady is just being flat out ghettofabulous and hood. These sisters use heavy profanity and weird slang. They don't care about being a woman of virtue and quality in dress, appearance, and language. Only low-quality African men will date these types of women and use them for whatever because they don't see the value in them because these ladies don't value their own selves. Many of these ladies don't care about being educated or improve their outlook on life.
By you soaking in these tips, you are...

PROS OF DATING AFRICAN MEN IN THE USA, UK OR CANADA VS OVERSEAS
Let me start by saying that there are quality men in Africa but ladies if you really want to date look first in the USA, the UK or Canada if you reside in one of these areas. There are millions of African men here.
The biggest issue
Many of our American ladies are going on vacation to Africa and met and start dating a guy. They come back to the USA from vacation and continue the long-distance relationship. Later they decide to try to help the man get a tourist B-2 visiting visa here or either go to Africa and marry the guy and start filing for his green card papers here in the USA under the impression of love.
There are a lot of mistakes in doing it this way. Number 1. You don't really know this guy all you can see is the swag smoke and if you can't see through that into his intentions then you are doomed for issues once he's abroad. Secondly, you can't rely on his family or friends there to tell you the truth about how he really is.
They are rooting for him to get into the USA. It benefits the family in a way as this man can send money back home to them. On this channel, I encourage you ladies in America to look for quality men who have their act together. It takes out the guessing on if he is using you for a green card or what.
I spoke to a USCIS officer in NYC and he told me some crazy stories. He said that many couples break up in his office on the spot after hidden secrets about the visiting person's past were revealed. How crazy huh?
The pros of dating a man in the USA, UK or Canada if you reside there
-He's in close proximity & this allows you to be around him and sees how he is. If you get a dude from overseas, you are only relying on what he and his family tell you. You can't see if he is truly quality or not.
-You have the investigative tools to do a background check which is crucial. Woman have fought me on this one but I need to make sure I'm not winding up with a smooth talking liar. I have yet to find a reliable investigative tool that would allow me to do a background check on a guy.

If you are already dating an African guy you may want to know what friends he hangs around. I was raised with the saying "evil communications corrupt good manners". This is true in a sense.
Now If you have a good mature man and he only has one friend that is out of order (drinking, heavy smoking, gambling) and your man is trying to help him change for the better then that is different. For instance, my ex-husband had a friend that had a drinking problem, but he was encouraging him to stop drinking and leave his abusive wife. So in this case, he was acting as a helper to his friend.
However, if your man is constantly surrounded by multiple friends that exhibit questionable behavior then you need to have a talk with him on why he is around them. Their influence can rub off on him. For instance, your man hangs around friends that are robbers. Well, he may think about calling one of his friends up and joining them to rob someone if he is hitting a hard time financially. When we grow we shed old mindsets, beliefs, and even friendships. You need to know what is causing him to be around them (old times, they helped him, or another reason.
