Somethings are better left unsaid…
You know the power of words and that life and death are in the power of the tongue. But did you realize that you will be held accountable for every idle word you speak?
Yep.. every single word.
Maybe you knew that or maybe you did not. After my phone broke early this year God taught me a lot about the value in speaking less and listening more.
Being quick to speak may be what culture is calling us to but it is not what scripture says.
Do you know what scripture says about how we should choose our words?
Speaking from a faith based perspective -
I sat down to have this heart to heart conversation with you today. To talk about speaking less and really thinking about our words thoroughly.
Verses we talk about
Proverbs 18:21
James 1:19
Matthew 12:36

For the lord is the spirit and wherever the spirit of the lord is, there is freedom- 2 Corinthians 3:17 One word that God really put on my heart recently is freedom. The way God works always amazes me and last month the word freedom started coming into my life and gaining a new meaning to me. When I say freedom it doesn’t mean freedom to do whatever I want but freedom from the lies of the world and things that could separate from the love of Christ!
Each time we fall and run back to God, he welcomes us with loving arms. He knows exactly where our injury is and he knows how to heal and help us overcome the pain we are enduring. 2,000 years ago when Jesus hung on the cross, he did so for us to be forgiven. No matter how far we stray, once we run back to God asking for forgiveness and are aware of our sins he welcomes us back and heals our wounds.
This weeks episode of The Inspiring Honey show is a introduction of upcoming episodes and a discussion on clinging to Jesus when life is uncertain.
"Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.” - Proverbs 22:2 Comparisons are neither kind nor constructive but we all get caught in the trap. Comparisons either leave you feeling superior or inferior and neither are acceptable. God didn’t knit you to live someone else’s life, he created you for your life and to serve a unique purpose.
When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. - John 16:13
On this episode of the Inspiring Honey show the topic of God's grace and holding onto Jesus when life is tough is discussed. In times of challenge or change it can be easy to lose sight of the big picture and become consumed by worldly things. As believers it is important to cling to Christ in the midst of it all and to trust in his truth. No matter what you are go through, it is not as bad as it could be because you can choose to cling to Christ through all of it.
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6
God makes things happen in our lives and he always makes sure we hear exactly what we need to hear at the right times. A few days ago I had a really impactful conversation with a man about Jesus. It's always amazes me how many people I meet that truly have hearts for Jesus and every time I get to have a heartfelt conversation about Jesus's love it fills me with such joy! If you pray about it God will open doors to allow you to share and speak about him with others.
The beautiful conversation I had with this man was about just how powerful the name of Jesus truly is speaking our saviors name and giving him glory is the most important part of our lives! Being a saved is so much more than going to church on Sunday, doing good deeds and saying you love Jesus! It’s about having a true close and personal relationship with Jesus and being willing to share that with others. The bible tells us that the only way we can get to heaven is through a relationship with Jesus.
Who am I, who are you, who is anyone to question and criticize God’s work.
I am pretty sure we all have things we don't particular love about ourselves. Every person has little insecurities that can sneak up on you and shake your confidence
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well- Psalms 139: 14
I am sure you have heard the saying you are what you eat, but have you heard you are what you watch and listen to? As followers of Jesus we are called to be mindful of everything around us. From the beginning of time there were challenges and temptations.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.”- Romans 12:2
On this episode of the Inspiring Honey Show I interview Shawn, a recording artist with a very inspirational story. Shawn shares how he is using his life to serve and honor God.
One lesson God has taught me is that I don’t know what my future holds and that although I can dream up plans they may always change in accordance to his will. God’s plans are bigger and better thacn any I could ever dreamed of and I don’t know all the plans for my future. As humans we can’t even imagine all the future events that God already has in store for us. There are things that we can’t control, each event that we experience and each person brought into our life comes with a purpose.
"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.”-Proverbs 19:21
Every morning before school my dad would make me a hot breakfast and a cup of tea. I would be lying to you if I said that it wasn't my favorite part of the day! He would always make my favorite foods and constantly be making me new entrees daily. Every relationship in life needs attention, effort and love from both parties. You can’t have a one sided relationship because that would be 50% out of 100% which is considered failure. One sided relationships with people aren't healthy and do not work. It’s the same concept with our relationship with Jesus! He is always giving us 100%, forgiving us when we sin, loving unconditionally, listening to our prayers and providing us what we need in the way he knows best for us! He gives us 100% so we should be striving to do the same. Its so important to grow and nurture a relationship with Jesus every single day, talking with him, reading scripture praising him in every way possible!

In a world where everything can be obtained in a matter of minutes we easily get impatient and expect to see results instantaneously. When we want to find song lyrics or watch a movie all we have to do is turn on our computers. If we have a question we ask Google and find the answer in a matter of seconds. When we talk to God and ask him to answers our prayers sometimes it's easy to still expect that instant answer and hard to understand why praying doesn’t work like Google. God doesn’t work in our time frame but in his and in ways he sees fit for his plans. When we pray to God he hears that! God knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what is truly in our hearts. He is our maker and knew us even before we were born.
