Like many children born pre-internet, I spent a large portion of my time outdoors, exploring and running wild with my like-minded friends. I was a bit of a tomboy much to my mother's dismay, but was raised on southern manners and sweet tea, and I knew how to act like a lady when it mattered. As an adult I have traveled a lot but have always called Louisiana my home, and it's influence runs through my veins even though I have spent the last twenty years living in South Texas. I am married with a loving family and live a comfortable life on a small farm with as many animals as I can talk my husband into letting me keep. I have always loved creating and spend a lot of time painting as well as creating jewelry and crafts. Writing has also long been a love of mine, along with telling stories. I have always loved stories with elements of magic and the supernatural. The ghost stories i heard growing up as a child along with other folklore have influenced my writings and paintings all my life With the recent ability to self-publish, I finally got brave enough to publish the stories that bounced about in my head and languished on my hard drive. Jas T. Ward has always used writing as a necessary escape.
