This podcast is for mothers and young daughters by a mom and daughters. From our home to yours. We are a fun-loving, God-fearing, homeschooling family of 9 children. We have fun on our podcast as we give encouragement and inspiration for moms and girls to draw them closer to the heart of God, so they can experience a richer walk with the Lord.
Have you ever been around someone that is always full of joy? No matter what’s going on in their life, they're upbeat & positive. Well they must know the secrets to living a joy filled life.
It’s not that I have this all figured out and am always living this joy filled life, but I know it's possible and it's spiritual.
It’s not that we will always be walking on sunshine, but when we live out the 6 secrets of living a joy filled life then we can stay above the waters when the clouds do come, which they will. And when we have learned to be content in whatever state we are in.
How can you live a joy-filled life when things are not always going smoothly? If you're faced with great disappointments in life, or have gone through tragedies and your life has been changed forever? Or when things are not going your way, when things don't happen the way you wanted, when you wanted and how you wanted? When life isn't going the way you thought it would.
This is especially vital for us mothers since we are the heart or center of the home. As the saying goes, “If momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy.”

Hey there, and welcome to this episode of my podcast introducing my Closer walk with God series. Let's start this new year off right drawing closer to God and seeking His way and His will in our lives.
In this episode, I introduce my youtube series that I'm in the process of doing on the 7th day Sabbath, the 10 commandments, the day of Jesus' resurrection, as well as certain holidays and traditions. I'm calling this series Desiring Truth. There is so much misconception around these topics and it's my desire to help reveal the truth on this. And draw us all closer to the heart of God. It's so important and vital to know the truth on these subjects and on anything because God is the God of truth and we are to worship God in Spirit and in truth. I also take about how we are to put off the things of this world putting off the old man and putting on the new man. Having a new focus, new priorities, new interests. I can't say I have the answers to raising mission-minded children because this has not been my focus over the years, nor sadly wasn't what had been a part of my own personal life nor what I felt we needed to be training our children in. Missions and being missionaries were for others.
That’s not who we were or what we did. We just lived our lives for God and kept our faith much to ourselves or at least was not out evangelizing as missionaries that was not our call. But recently I have been very convicted in this area.
The great commission is a command for all. And I feel it is definitely something we need to be doing ourselves and raising our children to be mission-minded. How do we expect them to care about the lost and unreached if they don’t see that care in us the parents and showing them by example? They will just follow our footsteps of living their lives very much just for themselves.

Hey fellow mothers, I'm back! it's been awhile since I've been able to do an episode , and I'm excited about doing this one. I talk about the verse 2 Cornithians 5:20 that says we are to be ambassadors for Christ. So I dig into what exactly is an ambassador, and how that looks for us as Christ followers. What is our role as ambassadors and what makes a great ambassador. We as mom's are to ambassadors for Christ and we are to be raising our children to be ambassadors. When we realize just who we are in Christ and fully embrace and step into that then it takes care of so many other issues in our lives. We can then have our perspectives and priorities in the right alignment with God and His will.
In this episode I encourage mother's to embrace the season they are in and the step they are on. Though it may not always feel like it at the moment the different seasons and stages of mother hood really do fly by fast. One day they will be grown and gone and we will wish we took a little more time to relax, embrace, and enjoy. I share several quotes and a couple of my poems from my book, More than a Mother. We have to make God first in our lives invite Him to be the Lord of our lives in all areas to set an example for our children.

I'm so excited to announce our new and exciting season in our podcast. As well as our new podcast name, and how it all came about.
As new parents, our early years of parenting were not ideal, but I love how God can turn things around and bring something beautiful out of our messes and failures.

No, we are not perfect and never will be here on earth, but when we truly love God we seek after Him and His ways in our life with all of our being we become more like Him day by day. And our lives reflect Him in the things we do, the things we say, and the way we parent our children.
We just have to stay hungry for more of God in our lives, stay open and teachable, and He will do His good and perfect work in our lives which only He can do, and in turn will bear much fruit.

Feel like you have more than you can keep up? You're not alone.
But here is the good news, relax. You don't have to do it all.
Sometimes the best thing we can do as mothers is simply let some things go. Just don't do it.
When we try to always keep a perfectly weeded garden, perfectly clean house, the laundry always caught up, and amazing meals on the table we run our selves ragged.
We got to learn the art of just leaving stuff for another day and focus on what is more important at the moment which might just be sitting down and reading books with our children.

As a mother we have a ongoing job of weeding out weeds in our homes and in our children. Dilligently keep an outlook for weeds and plucking them out much like the job of weeding out gardens so they can bear fruit and flourish, but this job is much more important than weeding our garden. The Bible refers to us as being a light of the world. Sarah gives us some thoughts of hers on this by giving us an example of a night light in her room. We need to be a bright light in our part of the world. And we need to be filling this world with more of God's light and God goodness. We as Christ's children need to be working together to fill the world with godly content so there is more and more light to brighten the darkness and bring more people to God. It's time to step up and it is time that, we, who call ourselves His children need to be seriously walking the walk and talking the talk. This is a follow-up to my last episode called Aligning our likes to the Will of the Father. I encourage you more than ever to get in the Word and get our lives and homes in algin with God. God wants our wholehearted devotion. He doesn't just want a part of our lives but He wants our whole being.

Hey there, it's been a while since we've done a podcast episode due to the busyness of preparing for Mae's speaking events planned for March 5th, 24th, 2020. So it this episode we talk about that. The girls share a special song at the end of the podcast that they will be singing at our event.
I also encourage you to step out and do what God has placed on your heart and in your life not being held back by fear. And when you make that courageous step and share your testimony and your message it is limitless what God will with it. We are commanded to talk about His goodness and faithfulness in our lives. A fun episode where we talk about getting along with siblings. From time to time children will have scraps and issues with each other, but our goal is to get along as best as we possibly can with each other, and showing our brothers and sisters the kindness and love of God. We read lots of Bible verses about treating each other with kindness, using edifying words, etc.. I'm sure you will enjoy this episode!!
Death and dieing is a very real part of life. But it's still so very hard when the ones we love are snatched away so suddenly and unexpectedly. We are never ready to loose those we love, but in Christ we can still have hope. And we can go on with life with joy and peace knowing that God holds all life in His hands and with Him there is no accident. May you be encouraged with the Bible verses we share about death and those that die in Christ, and our message of hope.
What the Bible says about true beauty. And what our focus should be on. It's the inner man of a meek and quiet spirit, being clothed in humility, and bearing the fruits of the spirit. Time is a very precious thing. In this episode we read verses on about time management, making the most of of our lives and days. We also talk about the fragility of life.
