Know What You Have in Christ.
- Obtain a faith of equal standing (1).

Know Jesus and become like Jesus.
I Peter 5:6-14
Standing Firm in the Grace of God
- Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God (6-7).
- Resist the growling beast (8-9).
- Trust the God of all grace (10-11).
The God of all grace will Restore, Confirm, Strengthen and Establish you.
I Peter 5:1-5
God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
- Pursue Humble Shepherds. Shepherd the flock of God among you:
- Excercise willing oversight, don't force it.
- Eagerly serve without greed.
- Being an example, not domineering.
- Place yourself under submission.
- Clothe yourself with humility.
We have and we will make mistakes, but Jesus makes no mistakes.
We are called to Go.
This is the mission of this church.

Sojourner Pride: Looks to others. Edifies others. Content in being an outsider. Graciously invitational. Confident assurance in Christ. Gratefully gives the glory.

Weary Sinner
Jesus went to the cross because of you. Jesus also went to the cross for you.
Peter denied Christ three times.
We have all sinned against God.....every single last one of us have been lost.
The glory of resurrection Sunday is much more impactful...when you realize and contemplate your place in it all.
And our contribution was sin against a holy God.
I Peter 2:1-3
We are to rely on the living, active and imperishable Word of God for a correct outlook on life.
How do you view God? How do you view yourself?
- Shedding: Putting away wickedness (1)
- Craving: Long for the Word (2-3)

Combat the lies of the enemy with the Truth of our good Father

- Present Suffering - Rejoice in your undefiled sanctification. (6-9)

Happily Ever After | Ruth 4 Ruth wasn’t a problem, she was the prize
- Boaz willingly purchased Ruth’s freedom from of his own personal riches. (1-6) Christ purchased our freedom because of his righteousness.
- Boaz satisfied the legal demands of the law (7-12) Christ satisfied the legal demands of a holy God’s wrath on sin.
- Boaz lavished Ruth with generosity and grace (13-17) Christ lavishes his bride with generosity and grace upon grace.
God’s grace is in the grey.

- Darkness is something that can last a long time for a believing Christian.
- There’s no better place to learn about the grace of God than through dark times.
- There’s no better way to become great than walking through dark times.

Confession and forgiveness - two things we don’t always enjoy. In Matthew 6:12, these two elements of prayer are crucial in our relationship with God and with others.
We don't like to hear it, but God created us all to be dependent, and the bread and butter of true prayer is dependence on God for our daily needs.
Unfortunately, prayer can often devolve into a laundry list of our most pressing needs at the moment. It's as if we are after the hand of God, but fail to seek his face. No wonder we’re not compelled or changed when we pray. So often we miss the greatest benefit of prayer, the presence of God in relationship.
