Hello everybody my name is Amber Contreras. I am 23 years old. Teaching is right for me because by teaching I feel empowered. It feels good knowing that i can make a difference in children’s lives by teaching. I feel like teachers have an important role in the transition of children to young adults. I’ve discovered the love that I have for children has drawn me towards teaching. Learning is something that I enjoy doing witch has caused me to be passionate about teaching. I am also very eager to make a difference in children’s life. I want to be the kind of teacher that makes such an impact in children’s life that they remember me after their time with me as their teacher. While I was a para-professional at an elementary school for Special Education class for students raging from K-4th grade I realized how great it feels to see the progress in students learning how you as a teacher are able to make a difference every day in a student’s life.
