In “I Wanna Be Like God,” Pastor Shola Akognon teaches from Ephesians 5:1–21, where Paul calls believers to imitate God as dearly loved children. What does that actually look like in everyday life? Paul gives us three practical instructions: walk in love, walk in light, and walk in wisdom.Through the love of Christ, the transforming power of living as children of light, and the wisdom that recognizes our opportunities are limited, we learn that becoming more like God isn’t simply about trying harder. God has given us His Holy Spirit—and a community of believers—to help us live the life He has called us to live.
The old life no longer fits.In Ephesians 4:17–32, Paul calls believers to take off the old self, renew their minds, and put on the new life God has created for them.Learn what conversion changes and five practical ways Christians should now live.Live like the person you have become.

Who is Jesus?Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus is not Almighty God, that He previously existed as Michael the archangel, and that He was raised from the dead only as a spirit. But do those teachings agree with Scripture? In this message, we examine what the Bible says about the identity of Jesus Christ. Hebrews declares that the Son is superior to every angel. John teaches that all things were created through Him. Jesus receives worship, shares the Father’s glory, and identifies Himself with the divine name: “Before Abraham was born, I am.”Jesus is not “a god,” a created angel, or merely a perfect man. He is the eternal Son of God, worthy of honor, glory, praise, and worship. This message also equips Christians to speak truthfully and lovingly with Jehovah’s Witness friends, relatives, neighbors, and coworkers.

In this sermon, “Walking and Talking with Jesus Everyday,” Pastor Emmanuel Akognon reminds us that Jesus calls His people to be both salt and light in the world. From Matthew 5:13–16, we are challenged to see that Christian witness is not only about what we say, and it is not only about how we live. It is both. Our walking with Jesus gives power to our talking for Jesus.Pastor Emmanuel teaches that working with Jesus is better than merely working for Jesus. When we walk closely with Christ, our witness, service, evangelism, and discipleship begin to flow from a real relationship with Him.
Are you living a life worthy of your calling? In this powerful message from Ephesians 4:1–6, the message challenges us to make unity our first priority — before anything else.Too often we think the Christian life starts with a list of rules. But Paul says the very first thing he wants from us is unity. In this sermon, we explore what that actually looks like — the humility, gentleness, patience, and love it takes to walk together as one body. Whether you're struggling with a broken relationship, dealing with a difficult person, or wondering why the church fights so much, this message is for you. Paul reminds us: we share one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God — and that bond is stronger than anything that divides us.

What does it mean to experience God?In Ephesians 3:14–21, the Apostle Paul prays one of the most powerful prayers in Scripture. He does not simply pray that the church would know more information about God. He prays that they would be strengthened in their inner being, that Christ would dwell in their hearts through faith, that they would grasp the love of Christ, and that they would be filled with all the fullness of God.This sermon explores the difference between knowing about God and truly knowing God. Christianity is not less than truth, doctrine, study, and theology, but it is more than information. God wants His people to experience the reality of His presence, His love, and His power.
A message, we explore:Should Christians attend a same-sex wedding? What is love according to the Bible?Who created God?How do we stand on truth without losing relationships? This message challenges us to live by God’s Word—not culture, not feelings, not pressure.

In this message from Acts 17, we explore one of the most important distinctions in the Christian faith:Christianity is not a religion — it is a relationship. When the Apostle Paul arrived in Athens, he encountered a city full of religion, philosophy, and idols. Yet despite all their spirituality, the people still did not truly know God. Paul used their altar “to the unknown god” to point them to the one true God revealed in Jesus Christ. Many people today identify with a religion, a tradition, or a church—but that does not necessarily mean they have a real relationship with Christ. In this sermon we explore:• The difference between religion and true faith• Why a little religion can actually prevent real Christianity• How Paul approached a culture full of spiritual confusion• The essential doctrines of the Christian faith• Why the resurrection of Jesus changes everythingAs Paul declares in Athens, God now commands all people everywhere to repent and turn to Him through Jesus Christ. If you’ve ever wondered whether Christianity is just another religion—or something more—this message will challenge you to consider the difference between religious identity and genuine salvation.

In Ephesians 2:11–22, the apostle Paul reveals one of the most radical truths of the gospel: Jesus didn’t merely reconcile individuals to God — He demolished the wall of hostility between people and formed one new family. Jew and Gentile. Far and near. Outsiders and insiders. Now one.In this message, “The Third Race,” we explore how the cross brings peace, identity, belonging, and purpose — and why the church is meant to be the world’s greatest example of unity across every barrier
Answer Sunday, submitted questions from the congregation are answered directly from Scripture. Topics include spiritual growth, forgiveness, discipleship, interpreting the book of Acts, and how to live out the Christian life in real situations.Rather than a traditional sermon, this interactive teaching tackles honest struggles believers face — from encouraging stagnant faith to loving those who have hurt us. Each response is grounded in biblical truth and practical wisdom for everyday life.Questions addressed include:• How should we encourage believers who seem content not to grow?• How should the historical book of Acts shape the church today?• How can we love people who have deeply hurt us?• What does true forgiveness actually look like? This is a message for anyone seeking clarity, encouragement, and deeper understanding of what it means to follow Christ faithfully.

Discover the three key principles that made the early church thrive: a clear standard of membership, a deep commitment to biblical teaching, and a radical love for one another. Pastor passionately unpacks how accepting the gospel message, staying rooted in the Word, and living in true fellowship can transform our churches today. Don’t miss this inspiring call to be the church God intended!
In this message, Pastor Emmanuel Akognon explores how the early church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, lived in unity, devotion, and divine purpose. Drawing from Acts 2:41–47, he highlights the marks of a Spirit-filled community devotion to God’s Word, fellowship, prayer, generosity, and the daily growth that comes when believers live under the Spirit’s power.
Pastor Akognon delivers a message from Psalm 100, reminding us why gratitude to God should be at the center of our lives. He shares personal reflections and biblical truths about the joy of worship, the power of thanksgiving, and the faithfulness of God in every season.
In this message, Pastor Shola explores one of the most powerful truths in Scripture — the blessing of redemption. From Ephesians 1:7–10, we see how redemption is not just about forgiveness, but about God’s lavish grace, His revealed purpose, and His ultimate plan to bring all things together in Christ.
In Ephesians 1:3–6, Paul reminds us that every spiritual blessing is found in Christ. Before the foundation of the world, God chose us, adopted us, and blessed us according to His grace. This passage shows us the richness of God’s eternal plan — not based on our merit, but flowing entirely from His love and purpose.
In Ephesians 1:3, Paul reminds us that every spiritual blessing is already ours in Christ. But what does that mean for us today? In this message, “We Have It All,” we explore the riches of God’s blessings, the reality of the heavenly realms, and the incredible truth of our union with Christ. You’ll discover that no matter what you face in this world, you are already secure, provided for, and deeply loved in Him.
In this message, we explore how God calls us, sends us with purpose, and covers us with His grace and peace. Discover how your true identity fuels your mission and anchors you in a world full of uncertainty.
No matter how far we’ve wandered, God’s heart is always calling us back. In Hosea 14, we see a gracious invitation to return to the Lord, a promise of His healing, and the hope of restoration. This message reminds us that true life and peace are found when we come home to Him.
Arrogance is a trap that blinds us to our need for God. In Hosea 12–13, the prophet reminds Israel of their history—how pride led them away from the Lord, and how mercy was the only way back.
This message from Hosea 11 reminds us that God is not a distant ruler but a loving Father who cares deeply for His children. Just like a father teaching a child to walk, God patiently guides, disciplines, and restores His people. Even when Israel turned away, His heart was moved with compassion, showing us the depth of His mercy. In this sermon, we explore what it means to be loved by a perfect Father—and how His love calls us to return to Him with trust and gratitude.
This sermon explores Hosea 6–7, where God exposes Israel’s shallow and short-lived repentance—a loyalty that fades like morning mist. Though they speak the right words, their hearts remain far from Him, revealing a need for genuine return, not empty ritual.
Pastor Akognon answers two questions this week: 1. How much of my money should be for investing, savings, daily usage? Where is the best place to invest my money today?2. We like to quote these verses from Malachi 3:8-11 and claim the promises but not the curses. If this passage is truly for us today, what do you think “…all the tithes…” looks like for us as a Body? And can we honestly say that we are receiving "blessings that we don't have room for" when there is a struggle with finances? What might "testing God" in this passage consist of?
In a world full of distractions and detours, how can we know we’re living the life God designed for us? This message dives into Romans 8:28–30 to explore God’s ultimate purpose for His people.

In this sermon, we dive into Hosea 2, a powerful chapter that illustrates God's faithfulness even in the face of Israel’s unfaithfulness. Using the imagery of a broken relationship, God warns of judgment but also extends a message of redemption and restoration. Just as a breakup can lead to reflection and change, this passage challenges us to examine our own hearts and return to the Lord.
In Philippians 4, Paul expresses deep gratitude for the church’s support, showing how a heart anchored in Christ overflows with thanksgiving. His testimony reminds us that true joy comes not from what we receive but from a faith that trusts God’s provision in every season.

Contentment isn’t found in circumstances but in Christ. In Philippians 4, Paul reveals the secret to lasting peace—trusting God’s provision and strength in every situation. True satisfaction comes not from what we have but from who He is.
In a new series on the book of Hosea, Shola Akognon explores Hosea 1:1-10, where God calls the prophet Hosea to an unusual and heartbreaking mission—marrying an unfaithful wife as a picture of God's relentless love for His people. What can we learn from this story about God's faithfulness, redemption, and how it applies to our lives today?

If God has forgiven us for our sin and he’s cast them as far as the east is from the west: Then when we stand in front of him on judgment day what will we be judged for?
Will you explain what Jesus means when he says he has forgiven us? What he means about judgment? And what he means about accountability for the sins we have committed?
I had a conversation with some Christians who believed that not homeschooling your kids was a sin because they will become disciples of the Babylonian world system. They will be taught to think like the world. They said Christian parents shouldn't enroll their kids because of reasons like “Public indoctrinations (LGBTQ, gender fluidity, inaccurate assessments of curriculum rigor, etc.), evolution, secularism, and sexual promiscuity, a lack of parental involvement, and literally a whole host and myriad of things that come with the public sphere.”
Others pointed to passages like Proverbs 22:6, and Deuteronomy 6 saying it’s the parents’ job to train our children. They also used Romans 13 saying it’s the government’s responsibility to keep peace by bearing the sword, not provide education.
So how should Christian parents think about education for their kids? Does the responsibility fall on the parents or the government?

2. My friend and I are both Christians. We believe the Bible as the sole authority in matters of faith and practice. But we are having trouble using biblical language to describe our feelings on a particular subject.
The world uses the term “ Vibe” or “ energy” to describe the feeling of someone’s or Somethings demeanor or unspoken essence. For example, the woman who is smiling in our face and praising us, yet you can feel “ Something is not right with this person.” Or when someone is constantly negative and selfish, that just by being around them you become negative. We know as Christians we have discernment given by the Holy Spirit, but when non-Christians use the term, they obviously aren’t talking about discernment by the Holy Spirit. What is the best way to describe what we are ALL feeling?

My question for you is whether or not women should wear makeup. (or to what degree) I feel as though many women these days are trying too hard to cover up what is real and ‘mask’ their faces with makeup.. Some women wear makeup more naturally to enhance their natural beauty. Is this wrong? Does this not indicate dissatisfaction with the way God made us? This may seem like a silly issue but it has been bothering me lately.. Especially as I’ve noticed certain covenant members in extremely tight clothing and a lot of makeup. I occasionally will put on makeup, but I feel convicted about determining what’s right. I thought as Christians, we are to be set apart from the ways of the world… emphasizing inner beauty. Thank you for your guidance.

Over the years I have always been confused with the statements you make regarding the Word of Knowledge, which I know has often been mixed up with the Gift of Prophecy. You will say, “If someone comes to me with “Thus saith the Lord”, I will know they are lying. But in the next statement you will say, “I’m not saying that people don’t hear God speak, or that God doesn’t speak to them.” It comes across as they just cannot say anything to you, just keep it to yourselves. Aside from the obvious statements that may contradict scripture; a word that has to do with your responsibility as Pastor; or the reliability of the person through whom the “word” may come, how else do you determine if someone is lying? And, what would be the procedure if someone who has this gift believed that God gave them a word for the body?
