Fun episode this week that gets into the nitty gritty of one of Driveline's fastest growing products - Driveline Academy! Had Jeremy Tecktiel, Asst Dir of Dirveline Academy (past TRAQ Project Manager for the software heads in audience!), come on and talk the tradeoff of teaching kids to throw and hit harder versus prioritizing winning as many games as possible at the youth level as well as the trials and tribulations of getting such a large and complex product off the ground...now in multiple locations! (WA & AZ) Also swapped loose stories of both of our mascot backgrounds and trivia triumps (or lack thereof!).

A bit of a different pod this week -- had my friend and colleague-in-data Jason Lieb of MMAI Fight Analytics, or the early Driveline (data-driven disruptor) of MMA on. Jason's been leading the drive on investigative journaling in the seedy world of the fight business as well as deep data dives in strike by strike analysis -> we've collaborated in the past on some MMA data analysis, but we spent a good chunk of this wide ranging podcast talking about the UFC's gambling problem, modern day loopholes in MMA regulation, an in depth look at Jon Jones's career and this weekend's return against past UFC Heavyweight Interim Champ Cyril Gane, as well as a lightning fast breakdown of the rest of UFC 285. Meant to talk more baseball but had too much fun chopping it up on the UFC side and ran out of time -- let me know what you guys think of this episode and if you're interested in more cross-sports pods!

Anthony and Alex had some travel conflicts that we couldn't end up working around, but we are back with a banger. Alex talks about how he got into Driveline, some things he learned throughout his time here, how he translated those things to his work coaching at Middlebury, and how they put together a historical season out there in Vermont. Harter is an awesome guy and has some really good insight into how he was able to workaround quite the set of constraints going into a season with very little lead time. Max is just a homie and former podcast guest AND a college baseball fanatic who we were fired up to have join us this episode. Enjoy!

Episode 61 of the Driveline R&D Podcast coming back from the dead talking about our latest product launch, Driveline PULSE. Lindley and Caravan get deep into weeds on what PULSE is. For those who don't know, the workload management tool previously known as Motus is now Driveline PULSE and it's easier than ever to measure and manage your own or your team's workload. In this episode we talked about some of the first things we tackled after we acquired Motus in early 2020, what has changed with the launch of PULSE, and where we see PULSE going long term.

It was our first episode back on the podcast so we were a bit scattered and we didn't have our producer Anthony with us so we had some technical difficulties but it was awesome to be back. Don't be afraid to hit us on twitter if you have any questions or thoughts about PULSE! Cheers
