In season 4, episode 7, I encourage us to build our trust muscle. We will go through things in life that test that muscle or that can stunt that muscle. Sometimes it is abandonment issues and people who were not there for us in the past, so we have built up a wall of protection to avoid getting hurt again. In this episode, I talk about trusting God and also using discernment to let down our guards to trust those people who have good intentions towards us. We are deserving of love and good relationships.

I feel like we all can relate to seeing something in others that we would like to see in ourselves. So in this episode, we will learn how to project in a positive manner instead of in a negative one.

In season 3, episode 20, I am encouraging us to just be! To not try and figure it out, to not try to plan it out. I want to encourage us to sit with ourselves and to be in tune with what is going on in our bodies. I want us to feel all the sensations and cravings that are coming up for us. Doing these things will allow us to be fully present with who we are and what we need. In western culture, we are convinced that we need to be on all the time, but sometimes we do not feel like it and this is okay!

In this episode, I hit on the heavy topic of forgiveness. I am specifically focusing on forgiving our parents or guardian for what they did or did not do in raising us. Forgiveness is for us more than the next person because it releases us from the hurt and we can move toward becoming the best version of ourselves. Sometimes we may not even know we have allowed unforgiveness or bitterness to take up residence in our heart, so I wanted to discuss this topic so that we can begin to look within to see if this is something that has caused us to be in a rut. I encourage us to set aside some times with our parent or guardian and have those tough conversations so that we can get the answers that we need to find a place of healing and wholeness. Having a growth mindset is when you believe your gifts and talents can be developed through hard work, strategies, planning, and input from others. How do you know you have grown? What are the signs you are looking for to reflect a growth mindset? In season 1, episode 7, I speak about the signs I look for in my life to show I have grown. I haven't grown just because I say I have grown, but I require proof! The proof I am looking for is if I am responding to a situation, in the same manner, I use to or has my response changed. There is an old song by Rose Royce that goes, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore." When someone, that knew you when comes knocking at your door looking to get you to respond like the old you would, are you responding as they expected or are you able to say to them, "Love Don't Live Here Anymore?" I challenge you this week to make out a list of the ways you respond to certain situations and how you would like to respond. As these situations come full circle, take note if you are responding as the "old you" would, or are you responding as the person you want to be with the behavior you want to display? The way we think, feel, and behave can sometimes cause stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. In this episode I will be discussing the cognitive behavioral tools that I learned in therapy and from watching the “Cognitive Behavioral Tools” video by Dr. LuAnn Helms on YouTube.
