Numbness after surgery is very common. Some causes of numbness are on purpose, like anesthesia and nerve blocks. Nerves also get disrupted and damaged during surgery, and it takes time for those to heal. Don't panic, educate yourself! Dr. Martin and Amy talk about how your nervous system works and why you're numb.
