In the first part of "Seven Spirits Of Conquest", Pastor Harv uses Joshua 3:10 to discuss the cultures described and how to conquer their spirits.
In "Dad Let Something In The House", Pastor Harv uses the example in the Bible from Luke 15:25-30 on the prodigal son returning home. He uses this parable that Jesus told his disciples to explain that no mater how far you have fallen, God is always there no matter what. The response of the house (the Church) is to praise and worship the Lord no matter the situation or feeling.
It is Vision Sunday at Sumiton Church of God and Pastor Harv shares what the vision is for the future of our church. God has called us to rebuild, restore, and renew. God has reminded us time and time again greater is coming!
Pastor Harv reminds us that God has something bigger for us and that greater is coming! What God has been giving doesn't begin to scratch the surface of what God is going to do with you and through you!

In "No Shame In My Game", we are reminded that no matter how much shame we have in our lives, God can heal our scares.
In "Goats After His Glory", Pastor Harv talks about how Adam and Eve in the garden falling short of the glory of God, and so does every human (Romans 3:23-24). However, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to be the sacrifice so God can show us his glory through his Holy Spirit.
In "Forgiving When I Didn't Think I Could", Pastor Harv uses the store of Joseph and his brothers in Genesis 45 who sold him to slavery, to reminds us that Joseph forgave his brothers and God forgave us of our sins by sending Jesus to pay the price for our sins on the cross, and so we should forgive those who we think we could not forgive. The burden and weight that holding the grudge against someone can cause, and God wants you to lay those burdens down and forgive those who wrong you.
In "I Might Not Be In Your Circle", Pastor Harv Turner reminds us that we are to minister to others and invest ourselves for what God is doing. We can not be half in the circle and half out. We have been called to be completely in the circle (fully in a relationship with God) so that we can bring other people out side the circle (The World) into the circle to experience the love and forgiveness that Jesus paid on the cross for all of humanity.
On Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Harv reminds us that Jesus is the Master.... Piece in our lives. Jesus is the missing piece that our souls long for. His love still stands the test of time and will forever and ever!

In "Statues After The Fire", Pastor Harv talks about Daniel 3 where Nebuchadnezzar punishes Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego for not bowing to his idol. The statues in our lives must come down and God can guide and direct us in those times.
In "When Jesus Is Present", Pastor Lane Sargent, a former Pastor of Sumiton COG, discusses four points that happen when Jesus is present: Storms Cease (Mark 4:38-39), Demons Are Dispelled (Mark 5:2,15), Power Is Released (Mark 5:30,34), and Dead Are Raised (Mark 5:41-42).
In "It's Getting Warm In Here", Pastor Harv continues his sermon series "Desire The Fire". A fire always starts somewhere and it gathers and draws together. If you are going to burn for God you must have a conduit that increases the brightness of your flame. Pastor Harv encourages us to make up our minds to burn for God and acknowledge who He is. In 1 Kings 18: 37-39, Elijah calls out the prophets of Baal and things are getting warm inside the palace. Either God is your God or idols are your god. Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal and shows them the true fire of God and made them fall to their faces and worship the one true God! The fire of God has not failed us yet! He is still coming! God wants to know if you will stand with Him even when no one else will.
In "The World Is Watching", Pastor Phillip Walker discuss how us as Christians are being watched. In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus is calling us to be different and be the opposite of what the world is and they will be drawn towards God through you. There is a religious standard and a Christ standard, and Jesus is calling us to be more than just religious. He needs us to be a Christ follower and do the work of the Kingdom of God! Pastor Phillip gives us 4 points that Christ is calling us to: brighter, deeper, sweeter, and higher.

In "Giant Killers", Terry Hart, Alabama Church of God Administrative Bishop, reminds us that no giant in our lives are to big for our God. Just as God delivered David from Goliath, God will deliver you from your giants. We have to be careful once we knock down the giants in our lives, that we cut off the head of our giants as well so they don't circle back around again.
In "A Focus Through Your Fire", Pastor Harv Turner discusses Genesis 22:6-8 where Abraham is on his way with his son Issac to do what the Lord had asked of him, to sacrifice Issac. Being asked to sacrifice your son is not an easy request to obey. Pastor Harv reminds us that even in the mist of our fire or troubling times, we are to focus on God and his promises. While in the fire God will still provide, just as he provided for Abraham a spotless lamb to sacrifice instead of his son Issac.

In "You Should Have Left It There", Pastor Harv Turner teaches from Genesis 19 and the story of Lot and his wife fleeing Sodom as the Lord told him to. While fleeing the sinful city, Lot's wife looked behind her and immediately turned into a pillar of salt. In the new year, we need to leave some things behind us, because God can heal and deliver you from any past. Looking back and focusing on whats behind you can have consequences, but God calls us to look to him and move forward.
