It's our last episode of 2021! We're doing something special for it too...
For starters, BOTH the Falcons and Bears won their games last weekend, which might be the tenth time in show history that's happened. Second, we talk about what's in store for each team's next game—Atlanta vs. Buffalo (yikes) and Bears vs. Giants (foreshadowing...!)—plus get into some Quinnception for both teams.
This episode was recorded on location at Variant Brewing in Roswell, GA. The occasion was Asif's farewell steak dinner (Brooklyn, we otw!) afterward.

Christmas is (almost) here! However, we're both awaiting the gift of a win this holiday season.
This week's episode covers the Falcons being dismantled by the 49ers in a de-facto Wild Card matchup and previews the potential embarrassment (or is it?) of a loss to the Lions at home this coming Sunday.
In the NFC North, the Bears (read: Matt Nagy) struggled mightily against the Vikings on Monday Night Football despite being competitive up until the point that they weren't. Next up for Chicago is Seattle, who is also struggling and has a lot to prove to itself and its fans in a 4:05 p.m. ET showdown in Week 16.
Elsewhere around the league, Bill Belichick is no longer a grinch, we get NFL football on Christmas Day, and the fantasy playoffs aren't going so well for Asif... unfortunately.

In the NFC North, a Monday Night Snoozefest awaits the nation as Da Bears host the Minnesota Vikings. Another primetime opportunity to grow and develop as QB1 awaits Justin Fields in that game. The possibility of ruining the Vikings potential playoff chances is an added bonus.
We also cover the surprising shootout that was Bears vs. Packers and the quality win Atlanta had against Carolina in Week 14 too.

We're back with another fresh episode for y'all!
This one covers how Da Bears are bad and how the Falcons are somehow worse. So what's next for both teams? Chicago plays Green Bay on SNF this week; the only thing worth looking forward to in that game is return of Justin Fields. Atlanta plays a division game on the road Sunday. A win could keep them alive in the playoff hunt, which will be an unpleasant disaster; a loss will have a lot of people questioning what has to happen next in terms of a rebuild, fire sale, etc.
Elsewhere, Nick Saban pulled a Nick Saban. Now, the Bulldogs have a chance to pull off what Alabama did with a switch at QB, but they'll have to get through Michigan first.

On this week's episode, we talk about the very questionable officiating in the Monday Night Football game between the Bears vs. Steelers and how it may have actually cost Chicago the game. On the bright side, Justin Fields may have played his best game yet. He and the rest of the Monsters of the Midway now have a week off.
As for the Falcons, one of the best weeks in Atlanta history continues with a huge victory over the arch rival New Orleans Saints. Looking forward, the Falcons travel to Arlington to play the Dallas Cowboys in a playoff-caliber matchup. To add to the drama, Dan Quinn will be facing off against his former players as the Cowboys defensive coordinator. It should be great!
Lastly, we discuss some fantasy football GEMS and dive into what gave Asif the regular season victory over Nabeel in their fantasy football matchup over the weekend.

There's still plenty of Atlanta sports to discuss, though, as the Braves are celebrating Joctober in style—pearls and all. As of this recording, they're one win away from beating the Milwaukee Brewers and advancing to the NLCS again (hence, Wisconsin Hate Week), and this time for Braves fans, it feels more like business than it does good fortune.

His film tells the story of multiple brewers' journeys about making it in the craft beer industry. It is beautiful, entertaining, and informative. Diehard craft beer fans will love it, as will people who are newer to the scene.
We enjoyed our conversation with Mr. Brock very much. We talk about his inspiration for the film, what he learned from it, and how we all play a pivotal role in the world of craft beer—whether we make it, consume it, or document it.

This week's episode is a very special one as Nabeel and I got to record again in person (all Covid protocols met) for the first time in MONTHS. And we sure have a lot to talk about too!
We start with talking about having a beer on the forever-infamous 3-28 Day (a.k.a. Atlanta Falcons Day), in which Dirty Birds fans everywhere are allowed to have a strong, stiff drink. We went with Pothole City from Pipeworks Brewing, which certainly hit the spot.
Then we discuss the NFL's unofficial 3-way trade (hence the title) involving the Dolphins, 49ers, and Eagles. What implications do the moves have on the Falcons and Bears? How should 49ers fans feel? How did Miami come out on top of all of it, and what will they do next? Also, what can Eagles fans expect as a result of their blockbuster move?

In addition to that, we discuss who got the better end of the deal (or is it great for both sides?) between the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott, who signed a 4-year, $160M contract just a few days ago. Then, Nabeel does a deep dive into a topic that's been on his—and every single Bears fan's mind—for the last two weeks, which is when and how will Russell Wilson become the guy in Chicago since he's clearly open to playing there?!
The show actually leads off with some breaking NBA news: the mutual parting of ways between the San Antonio Spurs and LaMarcus Aldridge. We also speculate on where he will end up and why.
Other topics discussed: Are All-Star Games worth it? Are they necessary? On this week's episode, we pay homage to one of the greatest beer drinkers of all time, the one and only Stone Cold Steve Austin, by having his Broken Skull IPA over a lengthy but important conversation about the facade that is Da Bears, why the Falcons have no alternative options at quarterback, why Cleveland's baseball team is changing its name is important, and how the Braves may be having their hand forced to make a statement soon as well. On this week's episode, the Bears pulled a Falcons: They had the game in hand, then gave up an improbable lead late, and ended things by committing a costly turnover when they could least afford to. While it's frustrating for Bears fans, it makes what needs to happen in Chicago during the offseason abundantly clearer. Ironically enough, next up for the Da Bears is the Houston Texans. This is another opportunity to expose Ryan Pace's horrible decision to take Mitch Trubisky over DeShaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. In the NFC South, the Falcons found a way to remain mediocre. They've now lost six out of their last seven games against their arch rival, the New Orleans Saints. The biggest takeaway from the game is there's no debate about what's happening with Atlanta this offseason: cleaning house with not a single person on the current coaching staff coming back. Next up for the Falcons is the LA Chargers, a team that has also struggled with maintaining fourth quarter leads this season. Will there be another blown lead in this game? It's hard to think not. And last but not least, this week's beer is OURS. That's right, we're drinking The Roast of Hazelnut from Slow Pour Brewing. Asif and Nabeel made this boozy imperial stout featuring hazelnuts, vanilla, and cocoa nibs with Matt and the rest of his team at Slow Pour. This weekend might feature the best slate of NFL games we've seen all season, partially because the Bears aren't playing. They certainly need time off to regroup after a disappointing loss on Monday Night Football to the Vikings. We talk about it.
On the other hand, the Falcons are coming off their bye and now travel to New Orleans to play their arch rival Saints. Asif is torn about this game. Winning can help the Falcons make the playoffs (albeit by a long shot), but the feeling of "why now?" still resonates with him. A win would be empty calories if you will.
In addition to all that, we all discuss the NBA Draft and make predictions for the week ahead.
