We talk about all sorts of stories, ideas, and themes through out the year realated to the bibe and ourselves. But there are always questions we have about God and ourselves in our every day lives.
Join us for two weeks as we create space for students to ask our leaders the questions that they have on their minds.
When we go to church or youth groups, we expect in some way or another, to engage with the bible. Oftentimes in our life however, we end up seeing or hearing scripture in all sorts of places we don;t expect. From sporting events, to work, at school or at home, bible verses can get thrown around to encourage or even condemn.
For the next few weeks we will be looking at a couple of verses from the bible that get used, and sometimes taken out of context, more of than others. Let's read these verses together and find the context in which they were originally used for, to help us get a better understanding of how scripture can and does impact our lives daily.

Jonah is a book of the bible far more focused on the actions of a prophet rather than his words. A prophet who actively avoided God's calling, refused to show mercy to others, and kept God's grace to himself. It's easy to say Jonah was a terrible prophet, but we can learn a lot about our own lives through him.
Over three weeks we will dive into the book of Jonah together and explore Jonah's life and actions in order to experience God more fully in our lives, and through others.

But not the least of all, the birth of Jesus fulfilled many prophecies from the Old Testament. Join us for the next two weeks as we talk about the significance of Jesus' birth, and ALL that it would fulfill.

For three weeks in October, we are going to be looking at three different people from the bible that God chose to use and show up for. Each of these people had sinned, fallen away from God, and even actively fought against him. But God still loves and chooses them, He shows he's the only one who can judge them, and God chooses to work through them. And hopefully, bu the end of these three weeks you will know that even today, despite when we make mistakes in our lives, God is still with us too.
So Join us as we explore God working in these people's lives in our You Done Messed Up series

The two books of Proverbs & Psalms are often overlooked in the Bible. There is so much incredible truth & wisdom that God can speak to us within these books. Psalms are written in a 'vertical' way in which we are looking towards God. Proverbs are written 'horizontally' where we look to the people beside us and how we can treat one another. Psalms are a collection of prayers and hymns, while Proverbs are packed full of wise truth we can take with us today.

With God being so BIG - knowing 'WHO' God is seems like a concept hard to process and even understand. We believe that by better understanding 'WHO' God is, we will be able to better understand Jesus, the world around us and even ourselves. God is LOVE, God is REDEEMING, God is JUST, God is JEALOUS.

God designed us for relationships. First and foremost with Him, but also with others! We need to understand that all relationships will disappoint us, no one person can meet all your needs and we wont experience true fulfillment and contentment until we are with God in Heaven. The season of Advent coincides with the darkest and busiest time of year, filled with cold winter days and exciting holiday parties.
As the daylight is slowly less and less this year, it can begin to remind us of the darkness of sin and death. The People of God waited in darkness for the promised renewal of the world and we too are waiting. Advent is a time to prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ at Christmas, but also in waiting in alertness for the Second Coming. Advent is a time to look at ourselves and ask if we are truly prepared in heart and mind to celebrate Jesus at Christmas.

If we look at scripture we see that some of God's best have often suffered the worst this world has to offer. Bad things happen to good and godly people all the time. God chose to be with Daniel in his suffering. God taught Daniel how to be obedient and how to be in a relationship with God regardless of his circumstances. Daniel learned how to have a genuine, life changing faith.
