Full size pickup truck segment is the most competitive segment in the automotive industry above muscle cars, luxury and exotics. Each brand has introduced its own tailgate to assist with ingress and egress (getting in and exiting the pickup truck bed) the big 3 (Ford, GM twins Chevy and GMC as well as RAM). When the Honda Ridgleline came out in 2006 it was laughed at for have a dual-action Tailgate and for more. But Now the big 3 are looking for other ways to compete for you, the customer. Which now this left recently refreshed Nissan Titan and the tried and true Toyota Tundra behind. This makes the Toyota Tundra the official old school truck in the full size segment.
