As a former World Cup and Olympic Racer, I want to share the ins and outs of World Cup Ski Racing, with expert guests to discuss current issues and the breaking stories throughout the season. If you have any burning questions drop me a message and we will try and answer them during an episode.
Well what a season its been, some of the best racing that we can remember and the fact that there was so much still up for grabs at the World Cup Finals was amazing!Congratulations to Jamie Aldridge who walked away with the 2026 Crystal Tumbler... The last regular stop on the World Cup Tour is in the books, we look back at how the women's races in Are have build very nicely into a close battle for the Overall Globe. The mens races were hampered by bad weather and had 2 Super G's cancelled.
What a weekend of racing, on the mens side LP-B in fine form continuing on from the Olympics, putting the pressure on Odermatt in the race for the GS Globe, and still in the hunt for the Slalom Globe as well but his former room mate withstood the pressure to extend his lead in the Slalom standings with 1 to go.For the women it was like busses for Pirovano, waits her whole career for a WC win and 2 come along at once, back to back wins and both by 1 hundredth of a second! The Italian party didn't stop there though as Curtoni picking up victory in the Super G on the last day on home snow.Listen. Watch. Play.
Spring was definitely in session this weekend. Soldeu looked amazing and Suter was back to winning ways! Odermatt picked up victory in Garmisch Downhill, he was pushed all the way by his teammate but this time is wasn't Von Allmen.Listen. Watch. Play.
Just a 'quick' round up of the Olympics, some great racing and a fair bit of history written! Milano Cortina 2026 it was a blast. Now its back to the usual... The World Cup continues this weekend, lets see who is able to build on OLY performance and who has a point to prove!

Franzoni bossed it this weekend, the shortest Wengen DH and tricky snow for the men, whilst the women raced in a murky Tarvisio, Vonn with 2 podiums but couldn't add to her win tally, but they maybe the biggest news of the weekend was in Kronplatz, Scheib's awesome skiing is slightly over shadowed by the return of Brignone after 292 days away from racing and finished an amazing 6th.Listen. The mens races got away this weekend without a hitch a little bit more fortunate with the weather than the women in Austria with a shortened DH all that was safe to run. Adelboden hosted some cracking racing for the men! Listen. Watch. Play.
Ice Ice Baby #bringbackthehose. What awesome racing this weekend from the women in Slovenia. Rast on top form to get the double! Shiffrin pushed her all the way in the Slalom just couldn't quite get in front. Robinson out again leaves the Globe slipping away as Scheib capitalises with another top result in second.Listen. This week we had to start with the snow conditions from Semmering and the gates being moved after inspection in the Slalom a great GS race as well as the new venue on the mens World Cup tour with Livigno hosting a very competitive Super G.Listen. Watch. Play.
Big last push for the men, 5 days of back to back racing produced some epic tight battles and historic moments. The women didn't disappoint either Vonn another weekend of podiums on the WC tour, Huetter finds her form and Robinson pushes on in SG.Listen. Watch. Play.

The first set of races from the North American double header in the can, the mens SG was super tight 0.13 covering the podium places, each of the 2 GS races were one with some epic skiing be nearly a second and finally Shiffrin doing a Shiffrin in the slalom to finish of the 4 days of racing.Listen. Gurgl, for the men one of the tightest races we've seen in a long time, French team on top but a new name to the podium in Paco Passat, joined by another new comer Marchant. The slalom season has got underway and it was business as usual for Shiffrin putting on a masterclass for the rest of the World Cup, while on the mens side history was in the making Braathen's first win post his year away from racing. Huge day for the Fins and Brits.Listen. Watch. Play.

Less than a week away from the first World Cup of the season. Solden is looking good with excellent snow and cold weather forecast!The Predictions League is back again but we are mixing it up this time around. We are going to give bonus points to any podium predicted skier that starts the race weekend outside of the top 3 in the season standings... Still 5 points if you prediction wins 3 if they come second and 1 if they are 3rd but you will get double points for any prediction that starts the weekend outside the top 3... for example, you pick Hector and she wins and she is within the top 3 of the tour standings you'd get 5 points, but if you picked Hector and she was outside the top 3 at the start of the race weekend you'd get 10 points total. (so 3points for 2nd would change to 6 points and 1 point for 3rd would go to 2).Hopefully that will spice up the picks and give incentive to move away from the favourites!Listen. Watch. Play.

Just the women in action last time out and what a weekend of performances we were given. Hector was unstoppable in the GS and then in Sundays Slalom Holdener and Ljutic tearing proverbial lumps out of each other with ski racing of the highest quality...This coming weekend Vonn returns to the Downhill WC tour... it's St Anton, hold on to your hats! Val d'Isere at its usual best from a piste perspective add to that dark blizzarding conditions, for most and you have one of the toughest races we can remember. The women had much better weather over in the US but Beaver Creek is a great stop on the World Cup speed tour, giving the Worlds best the challenge they deserve!Listen. Watch. Play.

High drama on US snow this weekend and it ended without the Hollywood big finish. Shiffrin crashes in spectacular fashion, Hector with a second run out of the top draw. No Shiffrin at the start of the second day and it was Rast that stepped up, building on her from from the start of the season and securing her first ever WC win.Men are in action this weekend and its time for the real deal, speed is back...Listen. Second Slalom of the season and the same 2 winners in both the men and women races. Shiffrin and Noel have an unbeaten run on the short skis. Coltouri and Rast first timers onto the podium with some tremendous skiing and mental strength!We chat about the incredibly tough and icy snow conditions and how to come back from bumps in the road with the likes of Feller with zero points after 2 races surely sees the end of his slalom title chances gone...Listen. Wengen didn't disappoint did it??! 4 crazy days of racing for so many different reasons on the mens tour, while the women did battle in Zauchensee where the drama continued with Goggia ending her downhill winning streak in brutal fashion...
Coming up this weekend is KITZBUHEL!!! Double DH and Slalom, then its off to Schladming after the women put on a good show a week ago.
The women head over to Cortina for their iconic speed series. DH and SG are not to be missed.

Gut-Behrami showed Goggia that she isn't going to have it all her own way as the women return to European snow in St. Moritz in the first of 2 SG races, the second didnt go as planned as Brignone finds her way back to the top step of the podium.

What an opening weekend to the World Cup tour. The Women and Men didn't disappoint. Shiffrin kicked off the season where most have come to expect with a W... 70 World Cup wins now to her name, but she was pushed all the way by Lara Gut-Behrami.
Odermatt, took the honours on Sunday in an extremely tight race, the podium seperated by a tenth of a second and it was less than a second covering the top 10.

The tech events brought the champs to a close. We cover the unorthodox decision FIS took to only reverse the top 15 on the second run! Liensberger's crushing slalom win, a surprise mens GS podium and the tightest of margins for Lara Gut-Behrami to take another gold.

Finally we have some racing to discuss from the World Championships in Cortina! With the speed races all completed the Austrian double on the men and Swiss double on the womens side are the headline stories...

Some more warm weather affected the mens speed races in Garmisch but thankfully the races managed to go ahead.

Tricky weather had a say in all the racing this time out, Chamonix was warm and wet, meaning it was back to salt city, giving the athletes a tough time dealing with rapidly worsening conditions, whilst the women had their programme change to double SG after rain put a stop to any training runs in the originally scheduled DH.
Plus a quick look ahead to selection conundrums for the World Champs with the likes of Austria, Switzerland and Italy having to whittle the slalom teams down to just 4 athletes.
After a big few races, we look back at the most famous of Downhills, Kitzbuhel... from crashes to winners, we also have interviews with the chief medic on site and Hannes Trinkl on how we can get away from huge crashes. Goggia does double Downhill wins in Crans Montana, Worley wins in Kronplatz and Schwarz stands on the top step again...
