CRUSH. LOVE. LIFE. takes the form of three composed images accompanied by an audio narrative. Each shot features the same protagonist accompanied by a different partner. One of them is their first crush, another their first love and the third their husband, wife or life partner. As we view the static images we hear each of their stories. Was the recipient of the ‘Crush’ aware of the protagonist, was it a mutual attraction, was it reciprocated? How did another become his/her first ‘love’ and why did it end? Finally, what form does the latest relationship take and how do they think it will evolve? By showing each of the couples in an identical contemporary setting, without a label, the viewer can draw their own conclusions as to who is what to whom and how each image links to the next.
