Valerie Bittner is an independent model, actor and voice artist who states no job is too big, too small or too bizarre! On any given day, Valerie Bittner can be raving about the latest techniques to combat underarm sweat, sitting on the hood of a Mercedes being ran through a car wash or stabbed in the chest in a Bride of Frankenstein spoof. Most recently, Valerie had her face ripped off by a werewolf in the film 12 to Midnight and portrayed an OB/GYN in a video training medical professionals on how to speak properly to transgender clients. By now, you’ve all seen Valerie get crow barred in the head, shot with a 22, blown up in a dumpster & beaten with a baseball bat on re-runs of Forensic Files. When Valerie isn’t pretending to be someone else, she can be found playing Ninja Turtles, having pirate parties and cooking with her four grandsons.

Well, it's not an age-old question, but it's a question.
Should you use Emojis in your social media captions? More importantly, why should you care?

There is a reason there are emoticons. Emojis convey emotion by depicting facial expressions or emphasizing a specific point with an associated icon. If done right, emojis can give that essential twist to posts, making them fun, engaging, and interactive. People are using emoticons as the preferred method to express their emotions.

Kate talks tips when determining how to use Emojis in your social posts.

It's not a secret! Any marketing team uses it. The Marketing or Content Calendar. Success starts with a plan. When marketing your business, a calendar is the easiest and most effective way to do this. 📅

Kate shares 8 Tips to Get Started Creating a Marketing Calendar

We talk to a lot to businesses about setting goals with their marketing plan and developing those goals into actionable items on a marketing calendar. You can't track KPIs without knowing the plan.

We've stuck to the tried-and-true calendar that has worked for our clients and us for over a decade. It's simple, yet it keeps everyone on track with marketing initiatives and goals. It determines the tone of the content and allows us to get creative. It also gives us a great starting point for conversations with the entire team about what the plan should or could be every month. Every client we work with has a calendar!

There is a saying – failing to plan is planning to fail.Without planning, you will fail in marketing, and specifically when it comes to your social media marketing! So, use a content calendar to organize your ideas, content and objectives.

Content calendars also help distribute resources effectively, improve team collaboration and give a more in-depth understanding of what works and doesn’t.

Kate and Bella chat with entrepreneur, Holly Daniels Christensen, CEO and Founder of Dune Jewelry Co.

Can you go from crafting at your kitchen table to a multi-million-dollar business? As CEO, Holly Daniels Christensen has proved – yes! Using grit and the actual sand beneath her toes, that’s exactly what this entrepreneur has done.

The founder of Dune Jewelry left home at 15 years old, and never looked back. She held a variety of jobs with stints as a zookeeper, pharmacy technician, promotional model, bartender, cellphone, car and cruise salesperson. She also spent 14 successful years as a top agent in Boston’s highly competitive real estate market.

This unique bootstrap entrepreneur who proved she was unafraid of hard work was voted 2016 Woman-Owned Business of the Year for Massachusetts and New England by the Small Business Association (SBA). In 2018, Inc. magazine honored Dune Jewelry as No. 2590 on its 37th annual Inc. 5000 List which is the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Currently, Dune Jewelry is the one-and-only experiential jewelry brand in the world.

It all started in 2007, when this self-taught jewelry designer began making beach sand jewelry for friends and family at her kitchen table, then officially launched Dune Jewelry full time in 2010. Now, Dune employs a team of 25 people working in a 3,100 square foot studio space in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Dune continuously fills orders for over 600 retail partners worldwide while their thriving e-commerce website focuses on selling personalized Experiential Jewelry that captures their customer’s most cherished memories. Additionally, Holly has created an exclusive Sandbank that holds over 5,000 sands and earth elements gathered from iconic and memorable locations around the globe which customers can select from to customize their jewelry.

Holly is an advocate for giving back to the community and is proud to spearhead many fundraisers each year for non-profit organizations such as SMILE Mass, Joslin Diabetes Center, and the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. In addition, Dune often donates a portion of their sales throughout the year to various charities such as the global relief organization All Hands and Hearts, the Surfrider Foundation and the P.A.W.S Project.

Currently, Holly is hosting “Kitchen Table Talks” a 30-minute live show on Facebook and Instagram, where she shares updates on current events, favorite recipes, funny happenings and style hacks along with information on Dune’s new brand collaborations and designs in development.

Holly lives in Walpole, Massachusetts with her husband Eric, their two daughters Alexa and Lyla, and their rescue pup, Earle. She is dedicated to creating a future that motivates people to understand that continued hard work and perseverance is a direct path to success.

Kate and Bella chat with Nicole Harvey, co-founder of Mason-re. Mason-re believes that true sustainability comes from using less items for more things. This is why they have focused on the mason jar - one of the most versatile and reusable products.

Nicole shares valuable information about the start of this amazing company and being an entrepreneur.

Nicole was born and raised in Denver, CO. She has an undergraduate degree in Communications and Art Studio from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Her brother, Eric, an engineer, came to her during her senior year at college with this great idea for an eco-friendly mason jar sleeve. He’s an amazing engineer but wasn’t sure how to spread the word about the product, so that’s where Nicole came in. She’s the marketing, design and social media guru of the team. With the help of our third partner and sales genius, Adrian, we grew our company from a Kickstarter in 2014 to almost 3 quarters of a million dollars in sales in 2020, despite all the changes from COVID-19.

country.

Mrs. Purcell coordinates music therapy and art therapy services for various
agencies and individuals in their facility, home, group home or soon- in the new

Dysfunctional Families, and At-Risk Children.

Together with her husband, who is also a musician, Mrs. Purcell provides unique
musical activity sessions for children's birthday parties, family reunions and special
events of all kinds.

At the beginning of the global COVID 19 pandemic in March 2020, after searching
for a product to protect the 32 TAG music and art therapists and being unable to find
anything suitable for protection, Kathy created ClearProtex- the maskless alternative!
This product is comprised of a full face shield and replaceable, washable cloth attachment
and is valuable for clients and therapists to be able to see each others full expression
while protecting themselves and others. Kathy hired seamstresses in the greater Lehigh
Valley to sew the cloth attachments and is working with a company in New Jersey to
create the clear full face shields.

Kathy resides in Whitehall, Pennsylvania with her husband, son and two cats.

  1. Offer a nice last-minute discount. Use holiday-specific promo codes too.

  2. Connect to customers and clients via social media messaging with warm wishes to those you may have worked with or know. Maybe share something that has changed even they may not know about, but be sincere, don’t be salesy.

  3. Look to do fun holiday-inspired social media engagement content.

  4. Promote Gift Cards or sending your products or service to others.

  5. Bundle products and services in gift sets or packaging that is a larger dollar spend but more value.

  6. Do your own holiday gift guide that highlights your services or products and maybe others in your community.

7.Leverage influencers and or ask for testimonials and reviews this holiday. People are more in a giving mood so you’re more likely for them to take some time to write something nice about you.
