Here’s what Drew Brees could have said about his promo video for Focus on the Family on the take your Bible to school day. “I’m proud to partner with Focus on the Family on this project. Focus is not a hate group. They don’t hate anybody. What they do is love families and constantly work to strengthen them. That’s a good thing. And yes, the Bible does talk about homosexuality, and even calls it a sin. If you ask me what my position is, it’s very simple. The Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin, and I believe the Bible. We need to realize that disagreement is not hatred. I can disagree with you about a lot of things, but it doesn’t mean I hate you. Disagreement is not hatred, the truth is not hate speech, and discernment is not bigotry. And the more students we have bringing their Bibles to school, the better that is for America.”
