Kinetic Chaos Podcast is the flagship podcast of Kinetic Chaos Productions. The focus is on news, life, barbecue, cooking, business, local interests in the Pacific Northwest and politics both local and nationwide with a common-sense and lighthearted approach. There is no shortage of fun in KCP and Wes and Will always look to inform their listeners so they can feel like they've learned something at the end of each show.
Episode 3 of ManvsMood finds Mike and Will breaking down positive steps men can take to engage with their own mental health. They also talk about group therapy and men's willingness, or lack of, to open up to others, especially if they aren't familiar with them.
Episode 2 Mike and Will continue to delve into what mental health looks like for us and other men. We discuss what the numbers look like for men and depression and suicide. We can all help each other improve these numbers.
We continue to encourage any and everyone to engage with us about what topics or questions you'd like us to cover on the show.

Mental health is a hot topic in the world today but the stigma associated with men and how they deal with their mental health issues has not changed.
This is our introduction to the world. William and Mike are two men that have a lifetime of experience dealing with mental health issues. Depression, anxiety, addiction, we've dealt with all of it. We want to create an environment where men feel open and safe to discuss what's going on in their brain.
We're not doctors and nothing in our show should be considered medical advice. We're open, honest and ready to help others find that inner voice and create a healthy dialog.
We hope you enjoy our discussions and as the show progresses we'd love to hear from you. We want this to be interactive so check us out at www.facebook.com/manvsmood and post any questions you may have or topics you'd like to discuss
In this episode Will sits down for interviews with Jeramy from Cedar Street Bagel in Camas, WA and Abraham from All Pride Fitness in Washougal. We discussed the impact that the lockdowns are having on their businesses and how they plan to move forward once Covid is under control.
In this show we cover a number of different topics related to the recent hack of the United States computer systems, the ongoing discussions for Covid relief, Christmas dinner and more. Enjoy!
In this episode we continue to beat the old Covid drum. We know it may get a little old but this virus is at the forefront of every person we talk to. Whether they've been directly affected by the virus, had a business closed by the government, have kids at home trying to learn or lost their job, everyone is in this together whether they like it or not.
Education is our future and kids are being left behind. That must change.

We'reeeeeee baaaaacccckkkk!!! Welcome to the newest episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast!! Wes and Will are back and in the saddle bringing you our take on the calamity that is 2020.
In this episode we cover everything from the presidential race, Covid and much more. Get ready because we're going to be on our podcast game twice a week!
This is the beginning of our resurgence, our return to the airwaves, triumphantly speaking words into the ether for THE PEOPLE!!
Welcome back everyone, please let us know what you've been up to in the comments and please like and subscribe!!!
For Fathers E3 is outside and it doesn't get much better. In this ep, Wes and I discuss our love of camping and all of the great food we get to enjoy when we're out in the woods. The Trailblazers our on my mind, baseball is in the air (and the Yankees are in first place!), Game of Thrones is FINALLY over, baby ribs are the BBQ topic of the show and much much more. Download and subscribe please!
Welcome to episode 80, I guess we're old now? Nah, 80 is the new 60! We're back and it feels so good! In this show we discuss great men doing great things, Biden's bid for the presidency, tariffs and the impact they continue to have, a lottery winner does something incredibly not-smart and Avengers made a TON of money!
Welcome to Friday! The best day of the week is here and we're more than excited. In this For Fathers episode, we discuss the NFL Draft, the Portland Trailblazers win (and Dame Lillard's savagery) and some baseball. In addition, Wes brings us an amazing recipe for a BBQ bacon and chicken loaf.
We also lay out the terms of our weight loss bet. Jess Moore, local MMA fighter, is going to be joining us next week to chat about his upcoming fight and responsible weight loss. To our viewers and listeners, we're trying to figure out a way for you to join us in our weight loss adventures. Let's hear what you have to say about that! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Welcome to the second episode of the For Fathers Podcast. In this show Wes and I breakdown the crazy world of sports, smoking brisket and making candied bacon.
Magic Johnson stepping down was a shock to everyone and we wonder out loud if he was actually fired. The NCAA tournament ended up on Monday which just happened to be the first game of the tournament that I watched. We also chat about more sports, but I can't remember at the moment what they were, haha.
Brisket is the king of all barbecue meats. It also happens to be one of the most fun meats to smoke. It's not super hard to smoke but there are some things you'll want to keep in mind when you fire up the Oklahoma Joe.
Wes and I have decided to do a weight loss challenge for our next bet. We haven't decided on the terms yet, but we'd love for our viewers and listeners to chime in with their ideas for the losers consequence. Give us your ideas in the comments section!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Tonight we're going to discuss the Mueller report being released to the public, Trump cutting aide to Central America, Jussie Smollett, Mortgage rates dropping and the White House asking for a Fed rate cut.
We also discussed the recent accusations made regarding Joe Biden and went into the bad optics of the White House asking for a half point reduction in the Fed's overnight rate.
You know there will be more so jump on the ride with us! Thanks for watching!
Welcome to the very first For Fathers Podcast! This is our foray into all of the thing we love as fathers AND dads. Dads AND fathers love pulled pork and being a father AND dad plus we don't think there are enough podcasts for dads AND fathers out there. So Wes and I decided to jump right into it and bring you our takes on father-stuff.
This show revolves around our discuss about how to smoke up a great pork butt and turn it into wonderful pulled pork. We also chat about opening day of the MLB baseball season and I tell the story of one of my "dad fails".
Wes and I hope you enjoy our first For Fathers podcast, we can't wait to bring you more of them. We focused on pulled pork in this show and we'd love for you to send us other BBQ foods you'd like information about. Wes and I have experience with all of the different types of grills from gas (yes, the bad word) Traegers, offset smokers, Weber grills, electric smokers, Big Green Eggs and everywhere in-between.
Look for the For Fathers podcast everything Thursday on our Facebook page for the live feed or Friday for the YouTube version. Thanks for watching and listening and remember to get that bbq or grill fired up!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Wes and I are back to doing (at least) two shows per week. Our Monday show will be the HotSheet and focused on 5 big stories we want to talk about. We livestream the show on our YouTube channel, which you can find at here. We'd love it if you tuned in and chatted with us.
This show focuses on the Mueller Report, Boeing and the 737 Max, the bond yield curve inversion, rising fuel prices and a Norwegian cruise ship losing power. We hope you enjoy!
Hello everyone, we hope you've had a wonderful week. Check out our very first remote broadcast. The third time was the charm and frankly we're pretty darn excited about it. Wes and I are thinking that we'll kick up the amount of podcasting we do since we can be at our respective homes for it.
In this show we cover everything from Boeing (very very bad situation) to the Mueller report and even have some fun talking baseball.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you next week!
In this episode of the Cocktail Hour, we're actually cocktail-free, but that doesn't mean we aren't having a blast!
In today's show, we chat BBQ and what we'll be cooking during our first taste of good weather. The new MLB rules are up for discussion as well as March Madness and other fun topics. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Todays show wasn't the longest, but it was a lot of fun to run completely off the cuff. I'll be totally honest, as I write this, I forgot what the hell we talked about. Happy Friday!!!
Welcome to the first episode that breaks up the serious business from the monkey business. We called this episode The Cocktail Hour, but we're not exactly sure what the name of the new show will be.
This will be the show where we feature food, gambling, dad-ness, history and more, all with a focus on not taking things too seriously. We hope you enjoy!
Welcome to episode 73 where Wes pays off his Super Bowl bet by drinking a shot of Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Johnny Walker.
The audio isn't great on this show because we had an issue with the recording so I had to pull the audio from the video we did of the show.
Hola everyone, welcome to episode 74 and the beginning of a new era at KCP. This episode marks the beginning of a new show of sorts for us as we split the serious content from the, how should I say this, less than serious content. The best news though is that we're back to doing two shows per week.
In this episode we recap the bet that Wes will be paying off this weekend by jumping into the Washougal River. As I write this, I'm VERY excited that I don't have to jump into that 41 degree water. Derek, host of the KCP Kids Podcast, will be joining Wes in his polar plunge. D decided to jump in because he loves the water, which makes him a crazy person.
Come on, come all, watch the habanero peppers fall…down Will's throat and cause him excruciating pain! Wow, I'll be VERY honest, that was absolutely no fun whatsoever. But, a bet is a bet and a man has got to pay his debts.
People say I'm dumb, people ask why did I do that, etc, etc. Well, it's because I'm a glutton for punishment, but mainly, what fun is betting if you're not at least a little scared of the outcome? We got in a little bit of news, discussing the Sears BK situation. From there, we recapped last weekends NFL games and what got me into this situation and broke down this weekends games.
After I ate the two habaneros, we polled the audience on what they think our next bet should be. As one would expect, the suggestions started piling in, everything from eating ghost peppers to waxing some part of our body, but we finally settled on something fun. We decided that we'd bet on the Saints vs. Rams game, I took the Rams +3.5, Wes obviously took his beloved Saints, and the loser has to dunk completely into the Washougal River. All the way under, so the hair gets wet and only shorts, shirt and shoes can be worn. Holy moly do I hope I win this one because I HATE being cold. Tune into next weeks show to find out the winner! We'll be paying the bet off at the Sandy Swimming Hole on the Washougal River and it should be fun for whoever the winner is, haha.
There isn't much that needs to be written to describe this episode other than I ate two habanero peppers and I paid the price. The tears, snot, hiccups and other assorted bodily functions painted a very vivid picture of my pain. I hope you enjoy it as much as Wes did! Please don't forget to like and subscribe!
Welcome to another wonderful day, even though I led the show with the world is on fire, that doesn't mean it can't be a great day!
We've got great the HotSheet of course; we get after some of the news but the most important thing to do was get to FreeStyle. Why you ask? Because Wes and I laid a two-habanero bet on the Indianapolis vs. Kansas City game this weekend. I took Indy, and we bet straight up, I need them to win outright. Watch next week to see what happens!
We talk the NFL games this weekend, but on a little bit of a fun note, we discuss the black hole that can be Twitter conspiracy theorists. Ohhh boy, that can be a crazy place!! We also talk about our thoughts on who is the biggest NFL draft busts, which could be an entire show by itself.
We also announced a change to our lineup. Tech Two is going to be going on indefinite hiatus. We thank Jon and David for everything and will miss them!
Have a great weekend everyone!
We survived NYE 2019! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, but now it's back to reality. This is going to be an incredible year, I can feel it. Make it your best yet, as each day is the first day of the rest of your life.
NYE was touch and go as Wes nearly fell asleep before the clock struck midnight. He was a trooper though and the toothpicks kept his eyes from dropping like the ball in Times Square. I partied like the 41 year old rock star I am and enjoyed a wonderful game of Charades with my family as well as watching the entire Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy. Boy, that show title rolls right off the ol' tongue, doesn't it?
In this episode we cover stories in the HotSheet including the Government shutdown, the Sears debacle and Mexico's idea to curb illegal immigration.
Wes and I discuss a few things about the new year including our prognostications for the winners of championships in the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. The college bowl game season was mediocre at best, so we had to cover that as well.
Get ready for a fun-filled 2019 on KCP, we promise to bring you entertaining content that will keep your ears glued to whatever device you use to listen to us. Or screen you use to watch us. Congratulations on making it this far!
Welcome welcome WELCOME to episode 68 of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast! Wes and I are so excited to bring you a look back at our first year of podcasting and a look forward to what 2019 will bring.
This episode is a recap of our favorite moments of 2018. We each recall our top 5 events of this past year on the show. From there we look forward to 2019 and what some of our goals are personally and for the show.
We're officially on the clock, 12 DAYS 'TILL CHRISTMAS!!!! All of the wonderfulness of my favorite time of the year is upon us. Wes and I are drinking it in like a fine Meister Brau paired with a fresh gas station cigar. As always, we cover a little bit of the serious stuff in the HotSheet, but we make sure to get to the fun stuff in short order.

FreeStyle- We pretty much lose control from the jump. We chat about everything from the college football playoffs to Christmas food and many things in between. As we often like to do, the conversation flows like the Salmon of Capistrano.
Welcome to ep. 66! We enjoy the official cocktail of KCP, the Bloody Mary, for this show so you know things may get a little off the rail. The HotSheet and Freestyle are full of great conversation and a little bit of everything. Enjoy!
Welcome to the brand spanking new episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast, number 65 if you're keeping track at home. In this show we enjoy another extended Freestyle segment with all kinds of fun topics. As always, we cover some news in the HotSheet and you can find links to those stories below.
A New Podcast Announcement We also announce the launch of a new podcast to the KCP podcast family, the William J. Slater Reality In Real Estate podcast. I know it's kind of a long name, but I'm taking a little advantage of branding for myself. The show will obviously be real estate focused but it won't constantly be a sales pitch. I want anyone interested in real estate to find value in the show. Everyone from consumers to fellow real estate brokers to industry partners like lenders, inspectors and the like. It will be very informational and will have both local and nationwide topics. I'll have a rotating panel of guests that will join me to share all of the knowledge they have. I hope you all enjoy!
Thanksgiving is behind us, but I think our belts still remind us of everything we ate. Wes and I get after a multitude of topics including the patents Google has filed to watch us in our own homes, Black Friday foot traffic, China doesn't like the new car smell and more. Join us for another spirited discussion! Check out the links below to the stories we discuss.
Happy Thanksgiving Eve to the entire KCP Crew! We all have an incredible amount to be thankful for in 2018 and look forward to an incredible 2109. From everyone here at KCP, we thank you for being part of this crazy ride.
In this episode, Wes and I sit down with Steven Nelson. Steve is a great guy that we got to know earlier this year when we reached out to Larry Hoff for an interview. Steve has been a part of the local political scene for quite some time. He shares with us his take on being involved with a political campaign, a few stories and why he got involved with politics in the first place. We hope you enjoy!
Ohhhhh yeah! We're only 6 days away from Thanksgiving and it feels sooooo good. Wes and I cover the top stories as always and then we start our Thanksgiving Freestyle. Yes, I'm aware that I use the "fat pants" photo a lot, but it's dang funny! We cover Tday a little early because on Monday we're going to be interviewing political campaign strategist Steven Nelson. Be sure to tune in as Steven helps us shine some light on what's involved in running a campaign.
After a week of election mayhem and a little time in Las Vegas, Wes and Will are back to dive into the crazy world we all live in. Check out the links below to the stories we covered.

Wow, we've reached our fourth season! We're incredibly blessed to be doing this and want to thank all of our listeners! This Freestyle episode is a lot of fun as we get ready for our big election show coming up on Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday to everyone! Hey, at least it's not Monday. In this episode, Wes and I dive into the initiatives on the the ballot in Washington. We go through each of them and our opinion of each does sneak in, but what we really want to do is educate folks on what they involve. We highly encourage everyone to go out and do their own research in order to come up with their own conclusions on whether to vote yes or no.
When we had Larry Hoff on he gave his opinions of two big measures, check that interview out here. Below, you'll find links to the initiatives as well as websites that give information and opinion on them. We hope you enjoy and don't forget, next Tuesday, Election Day, we've got our wall-to-wall coverage live on the KCP Facebookpage. Please join us!
Tracy Doriot of Doriot Construction is one heck of guy and a great guest. Tracy joined us for our very first episode of the KCP Businessseries. In this show, we talk some business, but mainly we enjoy some freestyle time and get to know Tracy a little better. Doriot Construction's entry in this years Clark County Parade of Homes, The Timberline, won four of the nine Building Industry Association of Clark Countyawards recently handed out, including Best of Show. That is one hell of an accomplishment for Tracy and his crew!
In the Something Good That Happened To Us segment, we highlight KCP being featured in our very first newspaper article. We want to thank Dawn Feldhaus of the Camas/Washougal Post Recordfor writing a wonderful piece on the KCP Crew. If you'd like to read it, we're on page B5 of the October 25th edition.
Hotsheet As usual, we discuss five of the hottest stories on the interwebs, but it's always fun to get our guests take on them. Here are the links we discussed:

Freestyle In this episode we didn't have any real topics to choose from, we just let the discussion we had prior to recording spill onto the airwaves. We talked about our first jobs, the most famous people we've ever met (although I'm not sure Tracy's choice was worthy, haha) and more.
We sure are having a blast and want to thank all of our supporters for being by our side. You're the reason we get to have all of this fun! Have a great weekend!
Welcome to the second episode in our KCP Business series. In todays show, we sit down with Brianne Johnson, Director of Marketing at DeWils Fine Cabinetry. We recorded this show in the kitchen of Wes' parents so that we could showcase their DeWils kitchen.
This episode is one of my favorite to date as we sit down with our first MMA fighter, Jess Moore. One of the great things about broadcasting/podcasting is getting to meet some really cool people and talk with them. Jess was no exception. He was absolutely amazing. I'll get into some of the details below, but first, the Hotsheet.
In the Freestyle, Wes and I get turn our attention to sports. We dive into the topics of using a lottery in the NBA and NHL draft and whether replay is a good thing or not. Of course we cover 5 top stories in the Hotsheet. We always have a lot of fun when we can expand on topics in the Freestyle segment and this show we really open up and sports is something both of us know and love very much.
Welcome to episode 55 of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast. In this show, we sit down for the third time with Larry Hoff who is running for Position 2 in the 18th Legislative District of Washington. You can find the first interview here and the second here Larry joins us for a full show to discuss our Hotsheet topics and a few items of interest to Larry including several initiatives on the November 6th ballot and a few questions sent in via the live broadcast.
Happy Friday to one and all!! We've made it through the week and can't wait to enjoy two glorious days off. Here in the Great Northwest, we're smack dab in the middle of some stunning fall weather. We're looking at 72 degrees today without a cloud in the sky. We hope you'll have great weather this weekend to get out and maybe hit a pumpkin patch or something like that.
HotSheet In today's show we breeze through the HotSheet, but we had to touch on Hurricane Michael, Ambassador Haley resigning as well as the dumpster fire that is Sears. This next topic is one that MUST have it's own sentence. We discuss a lady and her EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SQUIRREL. Yes folks, thats right, a lady with an emotional support squirrel was kicked off of an airplane because she refused to leave. You can't make this crap up.
Freestyle In the Freestyle, Wes and I actually talk about some fairly serious stuff. First off, I get after annoying fans at athletic events. You know, the ones that can't seem to understand that blowing a horn or siren for a few seconds is alright but no, they've got to blare it what seems like ever. In the theme of athletics, we discuss when kids should really be introduced to competition. Things like keeping score, stats and the importance of competition in life. We lighten up a little and laugh about each of us having plastic surgery and wrap up the show with the top three concerts we've ever attended. Wes is with Journey backstage at a concert in 2003-ish in the photo above. It was a really spirited discussion today, we hope you enjoy.
Please see below for links discussed in this episode. Here's another Freestyle episode where we really let our hair down, especially Wes. Hahahaha.
We can't seem to get a break from all of the craziness! Everywhere we turn, another story pops up of tragedy, madness and our personal information being stolen. Today is no different, but we'd expect nothing less in the crazy world we live in today. Join us for another spirited discussion about disappearing people, murder, politics, the economy and of course Kavanaugh.

Phew, it's been an intense couple of weeks on the podcast. We've been hitting the news and politics, none of which are particularly good, pretty hard lately and Wes and I were both ready for some fun. Well, there's no better place for that than in the Freestyle.
HotSheet * We'd be remiss if we didn't make mention of the Kavanaugh probe being completed today. Of course, it was twisted and used for clickbait and political belittling, but we had to bring it up. * The NY Times printed a War And Peace-length article about President Trump's dad using his kids as a tax shelter. * A Chinese actress has gone missing and she's got a pretty hefty tax bill due to the Chinese government. They're not the type of folks you want to be in debt to. * Facebook's recent data breach may mean a payday for those affected. * There's the Mendoza Line and then there's the abysmal average Chris Davis posted this season for the Baltimore Orioles. Even Flo Rida thinks it's to low.
FreeStyle Boy are we excited to have the fun back on the podcast. We have such a good time in the Freestyle and time just flies by!
Please let us know what you think of the show and if you've got any feedback, please hit us up on all of the socials! You can find us @kineticchaospod or on Facebook. This podcast has been brought to you by two guys just having some fun!

We try to wrap our minds around all of this craziness in podcast #51 and as always, we've got a good news story to lead everything off! When will the crazy end? Probably never, but we can't imagine things getting worse than they are now because crazy is as crazy does.
The truth is always stranger than fiction. In our golden show (50th! Woo hoo!) we are blown away by all of the craziness surrounding us. Everything from cocaine-filled bananas, a bus driver letting the kids drive the bus, Comcast bidding an insane amount of money for a pay-TV outfit, speaking of insane money, new car's are cost nearly an arm AND a leg and Trump thinking social media is out to get him. In the Trifecta we touch on Keith Ellison, Nike's stock going up in the wake of Kaepernick, Kavanaugh and a bit more political stuff. In Crunch Time, the craziness that is the new NFL rules hampering defense, the Seahawks player personnel issues and drivers not knowing how to merge. Let's do this!

For the first time, Wes and I decided to have a "night cast" for episode 49. I fired up the halogen lights, powered by Homer Simpson's Springfield nuclear power-plant, and we enjoyed a fun (and freezing for me) discussion that was a bit serious to begin with and ended with a great Freestyle segment. My teeth may have been chattering a little bit, but it was a blast. Check out the show notes below and enjoy!

Welcome to episode 2 of KCP Cooking Live. We're joined by friend of KCP Tony as well as my sons Brandon and Derek and my wife Kim. In this episode, Wes and I grill up carne asada using skirt steak. Look below for the recipe; it was really good. We cover using mesquite wood to grill the steak over a raging fire and why I love mesquite for this. I like the temp of the grill to be as close to 500 degrees as possible to get that signature char that makes carne asada so tasty.
A little history on carne asada:
Carne asada translates to “grilled meat” in Spanish and usually has a certain amount of char to it which gives it a distinct flavor. There is not one specific way to make carne asada, you can almost make it with anything you'd like. Anything from salt to all kinds of different types of rubs can make carne asada. For this application, I marinated this skirt steak rather than using a rub. Mainly because I like using beer. :) Carne asada is especially popular in Northern Mexico where it is considered a staple food and in the US Southwest and northern Mexico, Carne Asada can mean a get together, like we call a barbecue, which I had never heard of that.
Grill Setup:
We’re using straight mesquite today, very hot
We aren’t offsetting the fire, this meat will go over the coals-grilled
Recipe:
5 limes
2 large lemons
1 Head cilantro
20 cloves garlic
20 oz corona
3 chipotle peppers
1 medium onion
2 tsp salt
Pepper
Presentation w/Garnish:
Fresh chopped cilantro with red or yellow onion, slice of lime and crema (sour cream with 1 lime squeezed) on a warmed corn tortilla. A little guac was amazing as well, really took it up a notch.
Please like and subscribe to our YouTube channel when you click on the link below, we really appreciate it!
It sure doesn't seem like it. Besides our good news story, I think we only have one story that could be remotely classified as good.
The HotSheet has everything all kinds of craziness:
Socialism in New York being quashed by a progressive non-socialist (is that a thing?)
13 year old kid brings cocaine to school,
FBI evacuates an observatory and the nearby post office
A Weather Channel reporter who needs anti-slip shoes
Former FBI lawyer testifies there was no evidence of collusion when Mueller was brought on board
Here's the link to my brother in law, John Gomez, for more fun info on Cuomo
The Trifecta has even more good news. Or not.
A Border Patrol agent has been killing women, one escaped and now he's under arrest
Hurricane Florence continues to wreck havoc bringing 18 trillion gallons
Are Americans ready for the next recession? Nope.
We've got a new business-related series coming up, if you're a business owner interested in sharing your story with us, please contact Will at will at kineticchaos dot com.
Welcome to episode 47 of Kinetic Chaos Podcast. In the HotSheet we discuss Hurricane Florence, a Dallas police officer involved in a shooting, the middle class is enjoying the highest income in history and the unfortunate story of an Oregon hiker found after missing for 2 weeks that was apparently attacked by a cougar.
The Freestyle is a bunch of fun, as always. We tackle the Harris Poll ranking of numerous "best" restaurants in the US (see link below for the story). The absurdity of Taco Bell being the number one Mexican restaurant is only the tip of the iceberg. Wes fires away with the top three things we'd like in a house if money isn't an issue and we also get into our top 3 luxury cars along with our top three local (within 25 miles of Vancouver, WA) restaurants. Check out links to our favorite restaurants below.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, enjoy the fall, DON'T give into the pumpkin spice, watch lots of football and fire up that grill!

Welcome to the first episode of KCP Cooking, where we'll bring you all kinds of wonderful recipes, tips, tricks and useful information about barbecuing. In this episode we're joined by a special guest, the cohost of the Tech Two Podcast on KCP Jon Keith, to discuss the difference between wood-fired and pellet-fired grills. It's a spirited discussion about the pros and cons of each as we enjoy brats, bacon and cheddar sausage, bacon-wrapped chicken wings and a whole chicken. Keep an eye out for more episodes to come in the very near future.
More than ever, the world seems like it's just one giant hot mess and there isn't a shovel big enough to scoop it up.
In the HotSheet we cover the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, Les Moonves out at CBS amid sexual misconduct, professional crazy person Alex Jones has been permanently banned from Twitter, facial recognition at airports and Kamala Harris using LAPD officers for protections.
The Trifecta features a health scare at two international airports, a small hole in the International Space Station and Sweden's political landscape is changing.
Happy Tuesday and lets hope we can find that shovel!
In this special Kinetic Chaos Podcast episode, Wes and Jon Keith (cohost of our Tech Two Podcast) tackle the differences they see between Jon's home state of California and Wes' state of Washington. Their discussion centers on wildfire and forest management, homelessness, transportation projects and mismanagement of funds and how the tariffs are hurting our states economies.
Wow, what an episode. This is our longest and probably most fun episode to date. Wes and I welcome the cohost of the freshly minted KCP podcast Tech Two, Jon Keith, to enjoy brats, smoked sausage and bacon-wrapped chicken wings. Jon is also a cohost of the awesome California Streaming podcast based out of Santa Barbara.
The HotSheet is a quick one in this episode as we wanted to pack in as much fun in the Freestyle segment as possible. We cover the fire at a Brazil museum where 20 million artifacts were lost including mummys as well as the confirmation hearing (or clown show) for Brett Kavanaugh and finally the scary story of Google tracking users purchase information from MasterCard. In Freestyle we have a fun discussion about our NFL and college football championship game participants, our top 3 favorite drinks, the most OVERRATED college football teams in history and some gambling talk about our favorite games.
We hope you enjoy as much as we did; the food, discussion and BBQ were all very hot and we look forward to all of the great things to come for Tech Two.
Happy September everyone! We're entering our favorite time of year: Autumn. Football, Fall and the joy they bring us gives me goosebumps. In this episode we fully intended to have an abbreviated show, but because we were having so much fun (and enjoying our Bloody Marys) we went over our usual time. In the HotSheet we quickly covered the FBI and its issue with FISA warrants, OHSU is losing their heart transplant team and Las Vegas is now the hottest housing market in the country. Once the heavy lifting was done, we hopped into a really fun Freestyle segment that included (of course) college football starting, food and much more including the video below of one of my favorite YouTube time-sucks: the G.I. Joe PSA's. It's very NSFW, and totally childish, but so funny for an old guy (me) stuck in a young person's body.
We hope everyone has great week and get ready for a lot of fun this Thursday as we will be recording a few shows and will have a special guest (Wes' cousin John from the podcast California Streaming). We'll have the BBQ rolling with good eats, be live streaming on both Facebook Live and our YouTube Live channel and discussing all kinds of fun stuff. Hope you can join us!
Hello everyone, we hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday. Sorry this episode has dropped later in the day, but sometimes life happens. In this episode, we talk about the amazing time we had at the Washington State Garlic Festival, we give tribute Sen. McCain for his great service, discuss more abuse in the Catholic Church, Mike Pompeo having a leash slapped on him by the president re: North Korea, Chicago has another bloody weekend, I go hard on Big J propoganda and James Comes may or may not like the truth. Join us for more fun.
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, CHILDREN OF ALL AGES! Welcome to another freestyle episode where we bring the fun and the funk together. Well, not funk in the stinky way (that will be on Saturday when we broadcast live on Facebook from the Chehalis Garlic Festival) but in a cool way (as cool as two old dads can be, which is about as cool as the surface of the sun).
In this episode's HotSheet we discuss Venezuela's attempt to prop up their Monopoly money, the sad story of Mollie Tibbetts, a 95-year-old Nazi prison guard who was finally brought to justice, the world's most expensive private jet that's up for sale and protestors who've decided tearing down history is a grand idea.
The fun really fires up in freestyle; we both had the same idea for one of the topics, which is "what are the top three sporting events you've ever seen (that's where the title of this episode came from). Then, we cover our three LEAST favorite foods, our top three favorite podcasts (see below to links for each of the shows we recommend) and even more fun with a DISGUSTING Holy Ish Fact O' The Day.
We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend because it is the final one of this great summer month of August. That just means we're that much closer to football and all of the glorious fun that is.

How far would you go to get the next episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast? Don't answer that, because you don't have to go anywhere! It's right here!
In it, you'll hear about a 98-year-old man who walked for miles each day to visit his wife in the hospital, the social media presence of the commander of the Iranian Army, a rare find in the middle of a field, and one of us is about to lose our security clearance...
Turn it on!
Season 3 is upon us and we couldn't be more excited for everything we've got coming up. In this episode, we go Freestyle and chat football foods, things we only need to buy once in life and more. In the HotSheeet we talk collapsing bridge, Virginia's Supreme Court likes to make the dollars reign and don't ever mess with Omorosa.

We see you out there, preparing your protest signs, ready to picket the closing of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast season two. But before you start chanting, rest easy! The wheels are turning to start season three before the week is out.
But if you must protest something, do that in Portland. Everybody else does.

Holy moly did we have fun at the beach. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at a fine restaurant in Long Beach called Saltwater that we can't say enough about, truly great food. They recommend reservations, just do it, don't risk walking in. Everything was great.
Well in this special episode, Wes and Will talk about the beach in a completely "freestyle" show, they go over all kinds of beach topics, some fun, some not so much. And then Wes left the recording to get Thai food. In Long BEACH, WA. Yeah, not even kidding. Flame him to the massiveness degree he deserves!!!
With the Hollywood city council voting to remove Donald Trump's star from the walk of fame, we can't help but wonder if this means there may be room for a KCP star to take its place...wink...nudge...hint...
While Will and Wes prepare their hands (all three) and feet (all five) to press into the cement, check out the latest edition of Kinetic Chaos, in which they're talking about wildfires, hypersonic aircraft, primary elections, Tesla, gun violence in Chicago and everyone's favorite freestyle topics!

Well, it looks and sounds like the heat wave is finally about over for us here at the Secret Underground Bunker. That's great news for the antiperspirant that Wes and I have been abusing on a near-hourly basis. In this episode, we've got the Trifecta back and focus on the horrible fires raging in California, our Camas Days parade experience, an update on the real estate market, the possibility of a government shutdown if The Wall isn't funded in the new budget, a Colombian drug cartel has put a hit out on a dog and a fresh HoJo's HotTake!

Slather in that sunscreen Chaos Crew, it's hot out there! Even so, we're gonna turn up the heat and go freestyle on today's trending topics. HoJo's Hot Take is back and it's about to get stuck in your head. The SCOTUS nominee, the Thailand cave rescue, and more tariffs than you can handle are coming at you (someone forgot to flush).
Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, get on up, it's podcast time!
In honor of this episode's special guest, the Hot Sheet has become the Hoff Sheet! That's right, Larry Hoff is back on the Kinetic Chaos Podcast to dive deeper into his candidacy for Washington State Representative, and to get to know him a little better, personally. We're talking fishing, bridges, ice cream trucks, and Larry's plans to make a difference in Olympia. All that and the usual politics, comedy, and common sense. Get your listen on!
The Kinetic Chaos Podcast is back, with an emergency bucket of water nearby in case things get out of control. Fresh off the Fourth of July, we're talking all things 'Murica and more — from fireworks to the EPA, oil production to baseball, and a who's who of possible SCOTUS nominees. Watch out, this is a hot one!
Burning that midnight oil...this week's long-awaited podcast episode is working overtime for you, with bonus material and even more Will & Wes than you'd ever dreamed of.
We're talking about the latest SCOTUS rulings, the White House Press Secretary's no-dine-all-dash dinner outing, North Korea's possible nuke site upgrades, and much, much more. You're gonna need time-and-a-half to take in all this.
Make sure you get permission from your supervisor. It's KCP time!
We've made it to the end of another week and now that the sun has decided to be a part of our lives, let's get out there and enjoy it. In episode 28 we cover Starbucks closings, Paul Manafort hates his life, iPhones, NYC is leaking, a fox and a mouse are trying to hook up but somebody doesn't think that's very Comcastic and much more! Thanks for listening and be sure to go to watch our "live" broadcast on our YouTube Channel. Have a great weekend.
This is our very first video simulcast of Kinetic Chaos Podcast episode 27. We talk the US withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council, World Cup and the negative impact it has on financial markets, drone strikes, bird flu is back and scarier than ever, the infamous IG report was released and and cool iPhone hack. Enjoy!
Shout-out to all our millennial friends out there, who think they'll someday be millionaires...just remember to support your favorite podcast once that check finally comes home, okay?
Will and Wes are talking about millennials, inflation, "Cal 3," trouble on the horizon for Tesla, and much more in this episode. Plus, HoJo's Hot Take brings home a book report. All that and a good time, so turn on, tune in and drop in on the Kinetic Chaos Podcast!
Get your earbuds in. Turn on the car stereo. Crank up the Kinetic Chaos today; we are getting into it!
Find out why we're all-in for Countrytime Lemonade, and perplexed by a pancake restaurant's decision to identify as a burger joint (trans-menu?). Plus, all that could go right and wrong between Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump's summit, a found wad of cash and a deep dive into national sports' kneeling policies.
What are you waiting for? Push play!
This is the very first Kinetic Kids podcast featuring Derek (with a little help from dad). Derek is a 6th grader and 12 years old from Vancouver, WA. He loves to talk, spend time outdoors and talk. Did I mention talk? Enjoy!
We've got that Friday feeling! In this episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast, we're talking about HoSho (Howard Schultz, former CEO of Starbucks), and our very own HoJo (Holly Jones) introduces the most recent addition to the KC segments. We're also coining what will surely become your favorite new euphemism for "dropping the kids off at the pool," and giving some thought to volcanoes and the minimum wage.
What other interesting stories will we cover? Listen now and find out!
Kinetic Chaos welcomed a special guest to the secret bunker (don't worry, he was given strict instructions to forget its location upon leaving), candidate for the Washington State House of Representatives, 18th Legislative District, Pos. 2, Larry Hoff.
Find out how Larry feels about issues that matter and hear about his plans to have an impact as a Representative. Plus, Will puts a few dollars in the "repeated words jar" as wejump intoimportant topics like North Korea's demolition of a nuclear site that may have been as fake as the moon landing (kidding...), how an NFL player made an airline passenger's day with a good deed, and how you can now spend nearly 19 consecutive hours in the sky. All that and more common sense than you can handle in this episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast!
Happy National Doughnut Day!
Wes and Will braved a spring monsoon outside the secret bunker to bring you this episode of the Kinetic Chaos Podcast. Between the raindrops, they covered how the president said he feels about choosing Jeff Sessions (spoiler alert: it's not great), what (or who) might be hiding in your modem, a follow-up with the upsetting truth about where the father was when his toddler hung from a Paris balcony and was saved by a real-life Spiderman...all that and much more! It's a good one - but don't forget to bring a towel!
Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday. This is our biggest episode yet as Clark County Councilor Julie Olson joins us for a great interview at our first live-audience recording at Chelatchie Crossing Smokehouse. We also unveil our new intro music that Holly produced for us and it's guaranteed to get you up out of your seat. We talk mortgage rates and "The Summit" in The Trifecta and some good stories in The HotSheet.
Wow, what a blast we had. Wes and I love getting out there in the great weather with awesome folks.
We talk NFL (I ranted, you've been warned), a $17 billion treasure, oil and it's impact on traveling and our favorite Russian super weapon crashed after 22 miles. Plus, lots more, join us! Oh, and I haven't figured out the music yet. It's coming, I promise...
The wait is over! Episode 19 of the Kinetic Chaos podcast is up and it's chock-full of good stuff. We're talking about the Triple Crown, the tragic school shooting in Texas, tariffs, Trump's mole (not THATmole), and much more (including an inside look at Wes' super-powers).
Good Morning,
Friday's are for everybody! Wow, possibly our favorite episode so far. We've got happy stories, some unfortunate ones but stay around for the Labyrinth vs. Star Wars movie discussion and myself looking for a giant foot to shove in my mouth. Wes and I lost it, a solid 10-12 seconds of us laughing I think. 50/50 if it's NSFW. Enjoy.
The temps are up in the eighties outside the secret bunker, the hot sheet is hotter than ever (it's on FIRE!) and there's lava flowing in America right now; so, we're handling it the best way we know how: margaritas!
Will has his tin-foil hat at the ready for a follow-up on how machines are taking over the world — are you ready to hand gramma over to the robots?
Plus, a look at the over-under on the SCOTUS ruling to allow the states to decide for themselves about sports gambling.
All that, and the usual politics, comedy, good news and more in this episode of Kinetic Chaos!
You Made It!! Happy Friday To All!! Our first guest, my youngest son Derek, joins us to talk about Fortnite!! In "A Good News Story" we shout out the awesome Heart To Soles, we highly recommend you check them out, sounds like there's fun coming up in the Singapore sun, Wes loves CA's new solar panel law, North Korean detainees released, Iran x2 in Segments and a conversation that always starts with a BANG, fireworks. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!!!
We join you again from the 18th fairway and this time we get that errant ball we've been hoping for. A very exciting good news story, we need more BBQ in our lives, The HotSheeet brings the fire to Elon's Tesla Corp, NSA (allegedly) collects phone information, I give my favorite summer drink recipe and Wes is not a fan of "Crying Rooms"!!!
Yes, the magical day is upon us! We've got a great show to usher you into the weekend. Some hard-hitting HotSheeet topics including Elon Musk and John Kelly possibly on the hot seat, American's freed from North Korea and more. Segments are a scorcher with both Wes and I lambasting Seattle for a proposed Head Tax on employees and Amazon's amazing response. Check it out and don't forget to enter to win four $25 Amazon gift cards!!!
Well, Wes and I have to say that this has been our most enjoyable episode to record. We were on the 18th fairway of Orchard Hills Golf Club enjoying the 83 degree weather, the cussing of the golfers and frolicking squirrels, it was awesome. We dive headfirst into the Kanye and Meek Mill craziness, VA Secretary nominee and more in the HotSheeet, CalExit, Alfie Evans, the Toronto van attack and Avengers: Infinity War in the segments. Join us from the fairway (well, not directly on the fairway, off to the side. Behind a fence. And trees.)
You can't have a Friday without Monday, so just remember you're only a few days away. Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, we've got The HotSheeet, we squirrel on Eddie Murphy Delirious, the Comey memo release party (not), North Korea say no more ICBM's (uh huh, totally believe them!), and I break down the new BBQ you need for summer! Go to this link for a breakdown of the BBQ's I discuss: https://turnonce.wordpress.com/2013/05/05/summer-is-upon-us-now-to-chose-the-right-bbq-for-you/

In this episode we tackle all kinds of fun stuff in the HotSheeet including a new survey regarding the chances of a new recession, the Comey memos are out, baseball actually has a shot in Portland and the CIA is playing matchmaker. In segments Wes tackles Supreme Court decisions, we chat about the Starbucks issues in Philly, Tammy Jo Shultz saved the day on a Southwest Airlines flight and we discuss oil prices heading north again. It's not that often that you can make a Monday worse than it already is, but today is one of those rare days because it's Tax Day! In this episode we discuss the Syria military strikes, the possibility of drug testing for public assistance and the James Comey book release. We hope you enjoy!!!
Wes brought the heat in this episode!!! We check out the FBI making office, hotel and house calls, the saga that was Mark Zuckerberg vs. Congress and why our congressional leaders look ridiculous asking questions they don't understand and there is a possibility of funny business in voting. I know, SO hard to believe! Oh and the HotSheeet is a good one! Wes and I hope you enjoy and go to www.kineticchaos.com for show notes on this episode later today!!
Happy Monday! In this episode, Wes and I hit some pretty hard topics, not much in the way of joking around, but these are pretty dang important topics. We jump into the zero tolerance policy the DOJ has implemented at the Mexico border, tariffs and the far-reaching implications they can have when it comes to a commodity like steel or aluminum on the US economy, I rant on people being labeled as one thing or another and we discuss the FBI not recording a major interview with a terrorism suspect. Happy April everyone! This week we'll only have one episode as Spring Break is upon us. Wes and I talk about a deportation, Walmart and other retailers getting into the health insurance game, the London murder rate eclipsing NYC and I try to drop a little real estate knowledge on everyone. Also, we want to give our awesome friend Holly Jones a shout out! Go to her Amazon page to purchase her awesome books!!! If you'd like to follow Wes or myself, find us on the web at www.kineticchaos.com, or on Twitter (Wes) @kineticchaoswes and (Will) @kineticchaospod. Thank you for your support! #BartlesandJames
Wes and I dig into Kim Jong Un doing a little sightseeing in Beijing and how this was a possible precursor to him meeting with President Trump, a rouge FBI informant, Facebook and our lack of privacy and why I believe it's our own fault and the new "sanctuary state" law in California. We hope you enjoy!!
