What I plan to cover is not just the latest Trump outrage or how Pelosi is making the country socialist and that kind of thing (although there will be some that, for sure!), but also a focus on local items and events. If you have a nonprofit or a charitable event in the Burleson area soon, I would be glad to mention them on the podcasts and the website. If you want some time on the podcasts to publicize the events, I consider that part of my civic duty to provide that opportunity.

Not my most smooth talking show because, like many of you, it is difficult to speak on the toxic rhetoric in our politics and what it is has led to and not point fingers or engage in that rhetoric oneself. However, I gave it a shot and I hope I was evenhanded in my approach, because its a symptom that plagues both parties, that both parties engage in.

Our friends from Next Step Women's Center, in the Neighborhood. Great things are happening there and they have some new developments to talk about.
An interesting show today with the Mayor. We started talking about the budget and ended up talking an issue of growing concern to the community: homelessness and the increasing number of people asking for assistance on our street corners. A difficult topic, to say the least.
Catch Melissa Harmon Texas Farm Bureau Insurance and our discussion on the need for insurance for all stages and aspects of life. Very informative.
Gabrina Daniels fills us in on the latest doings of the Chamber. A really informative show, detailing how to join and why you should if you operate a business here in the area.
If you can hear the videos that Jennifer Ojala Woods brought with her from Harvest House and not be touched, you're tougher than I am. Listen for yourself.
Shandy and I talk real estate and her trip to Great Britain, today in the Neighborhood. Lotsa fun! Also, check out the the announcement at the end of the show about North Texas Giving Day, coming September 22.
My thoughts on the Trump FBI search; also the last ten minutes or so I address the urgency of the school board race coming to a close on August 20.
A great show with Sara Nicole Tynan and Rise, a mental health seminar taking place on October 8 at Pathway.
A great show today with candidate and board member Shawn Minor. We address three issues mainly: teacher retention, the salary of Dr. Jimerson, and the need for the providing appropriate special education services, the latter his view as a parent. Tune in and see what he has to say on these issues.
A really great show today with the Mayor; we talked about a couple of major projects, one concerning the golf course. Also he made what I thought were reassuring comments about the current race, an appropriate response. Check it out.
The first half is me going over a couple of national issues. The second half, around the midpoint after the ads, is me letting loose a bit what I think of this school board race we're enduring, as we've had to endure all campaigns these last couple of years.
Here is today's show with Mr. Stanford. I thought it came off as pretty courteous and civil. I asked some questions I wanted to discuss and he answered. Whether you agree with either of us is fair for comment and if you have some, here's the place to do it. I would be interested in your feedback.
Great show today with Gabrina Daniels of the BACC, with special guest Paul Verwers of HTeaO! Check out the show and check out HTeaO!
Check out my thoughts on the economy and also catch the last couple of minutes about an upcoming guest and let me know your thoughts and questions on it:

Catch this latest episode with Jennifer Woods of Harvest House Burleson; learn about their new resale outlet and other exciting developments.
Unfortunately we had some sound quality issues around the part of my observations on the school board election. But most is still good, and if you can hack your way thru the choppy part, it's well worth your time.
Victoria Johnson knocks it out of the park in today's appearance in the Neighborhood. We are fortunate as a community to have someone with her integrity, intelligence, and civic spirit serving on our city council. Listen or watch and you'll see why.
Otto of Our Place! We talk about the restaurant bidness but we also visit on matters on our mind, like his father's immigration story and what's going on around town. Great stuff!
A great visit with 12-year School Board member Shawn Minor; learn the facts about BISD from someone who was in the room.
City Council member Ronnie Johnson and his daughters Rhonda and Angela tell us what it is like on the families serving in public office.
Michel Umphrey of Hotworx and I had a great discussion on the Constitution and governing under the current atmosphere. Plus she has a unique perspective on the SRO issue currently being debated (and if anyone thinks I coached her on any of her answers obviously has not met Michel).
Here are my thoughts on the proposed plan to eliminate the city's participation in the SRO programs at the secondary schools, instead forming a a district police (like Uvalde). I think it is one of the more important shows I've done so I hope you get a chance to see why I think this is such a poor and misguided idea.
