300 EPISODES! 🎉🎙️
If we’ve learned anything on the path to 300, it’s this: consistency beats perfection every single time. We didn't get here by having it all together, we got here with grit, scrappiness, and a whole lot of messy action.
In today’s special milestone episode, we are pulling back the curtain on:
The missed goals and skipped episodes.
The things we’ve completely changed our minds about.
The beauty of choosing grit over perfection.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for listening, growing, and choosing to live Positive on Purpose with us.

What are you actively scanning for today? When you’re navigating high growth, massive shifts, and daily turbulence, it’s incredibly easy to slip into survival mode, focus entirely on the fires you need to put out, and completely miss the good stuff.
In this episode, we tackle a powerful challenge from speaker Kim Becking: the active practice of joy hunting. We dive into why joy hunting isn't about waiting around for massive, earth-shattering wins, it's a daily discipline of training your brain to scan for small moments of progress and celebrating the sheer courage of the attempt.

Let's be honest: learning to loosen up doesn't always come naturally. I've been guilty of carrying that constant "always on" tension in my body
and mind until a recent trip to the Northwoods forced me to look at high performance differently. True relaxation isn't about slacking off; it's about trusting the work you already put in. In this episode, I'm sharing how delivering on your commitments out of the office gives you the ultimate permission slip to step away, zoom out for perspective, and actually be in the moment and enjoy it. Hit play to learn how to loosen up!

"Feel the rhythm, Feel the rhyme! Get on up, it's bobsled time!"
Remember that iconic line from Cool Runnings? It turns out the Jamaican bobsled team knew a thing or two about metabolic health.
In a bobsled, if the team isn't moving in a predictable, perfect rhythm, the sled crashes. Your body operates the exact same way. When we throw the extremes and rollercoaster habits at our body, we create total chaos. In this episode, we are unpacking why Predictability > Chaos, how to stop treating your body like the enemy, and how to get your own "bobsled" running smoothly again.

We've all heard it, or maybe even said it: "Just wait."
Whether you're a new parent, navigating a tough job, or celebrating a small win, that can stop you in your tracks and leave you questioning your experience. In today’s episode, we dive deep into why “just wait” can be so harmful—and how we can replace it with empathy, validation, and real connection.
This episode provides encouragement and tools to foster more mindful communication, whether in parenting, partnerships, or everyday interactions.

In today’s episode, we share one of the most important and transformative mindset shifts you can make: reframing pressure as a privilege. Often, we view pressure as something that weighs us down—whether it’s at work, in our personal lives, or during times of transition. But what if, instead of seeing pressure as a burden, we viewed it as an opportunity for growth, creativity, and transformation?
Join us as we explore how changing your perspective on pressure can open up new pathways to success, clarity, and fulfillment.

We love a good inspirational quote, heck we have Pinterest boards and water bottles with stickers full of them. But as we have experienced more growth and navigated different seasons, we have found that some of these quotes which are intended to inspire are actually more harmful than helpful. In today's episode, we are debunking five popular societal slogans and share how we have reworded and reframed them to serve us!
Quotes:
"Wake up with determination, go to bed with satisfaction."
"Practice makes perfect."
"Knowledge is power."
"If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life."
"Go Hard or Go Home"

As lifetime learners our goal is to continue to learn and grow. However, knowledge is only power if you APPLY it. Just like a can of paint, it's all in the application. A can of paint unopened does nothing to transform your house, not applying what you learn does nothing to transform your life.

What is Neosporin for the brain you ask? It is a method known as Havening where the sensory modality of touch helps downregulate the brain. Our amygdala is responsible for processing strong emotions, such as fear. It is best known as part of the brain that drives our "fight or flight" response.
Our amygdala high-jacks our brain's cortisol levels and puts us in a state of stress trying to survive. We encourage you to use the method of Havening to help you thrive and tell your amygdala that you are safe.

Does making a mistake make you cringe? Hurt your ego?
The three most difficult words are "I was wrong." Admitting our mistakes helps us learn and fail forward. Its not the mistake that matters, its how you deal with it what you learn from it, and how you apply that life lesson. If you're looking for permission to make mistakes, this is it!
Quotes:
"Every failure we experience is a fork in the road. It's an opportunity to take the right action. Learn from mistakes. Begin again." - John Maxwell
"Your past mistakes are meant to guide you, not define you."
"Don't carry mistakes around with you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them."

What are you focusing on and paying attention to in this season? What your brain focuses on it will find. Are you giving your attention to the positive aspects of the situation or the negative?
Friend, we care about how and where you spend your precious energy. Sit with us over a cup of coffee as we share where our attention is going in these season of new, and how increasing your awareness is a great place to start.
Quotes:
Where your attention goes, your energy flows.
Energy is currency. When you 'pay' attention to something, you're buying an experience - it's an investment so 'spend' carefully and only on things that will bring you a good return. Be selective. Treat your time with as much care as your finances. It's equally as valuable.

Why bother with outer order? For most of us outer order contributes to inner calm. Getting control of the stuff of life often makes it easier to feel more in control of our lives generally. Managing our time and possessions improves our emotional attitude, physical health, and social life.
In today's episode we cover the 9 promises outer order offers:
1. Outer order saves time, money, space, energy, and patience.
2. Outer order fosters peace within relationships.
3. Outer order creates feelings of sanctuary.
4. Outer order reduces guilt.
5. Outer order allows me to project a more positive identity to myself and to the world.
6. Outer order relieves me of the fear of people's judgment.
7. Outer order reflects what's happening now in my life.
8. Outer order creates a sense of possibility.
9. Outer order sharpens my sense of purposefulness.

Have you ever felt insignificant in a role at home or a job/position that you held? Have you ever used the language "just" or "only?"
"I'm just a stay-at-home mom."
"I only work the front desk."
There might be two reasons for that...you don't believe who you are and what you do is significant, or someone else (spouse, manager) didn't tell you who you are and what you do is significant.
Press play on this pep talk friend, YOU are significant!

Do you consider yourself a leader?
Majority of us hesitate to call ourselves a leader. We glorify leadership thinking it is above us, and we tend to discredit our ability to lead just one person. If you have influence on another individual, you are a leader. Press play to hear how you can redefine leadership by creating and acknowledging more lollipop moments in your life.

Why is building a new habit so hard?

Do you ever feel like you're riding a roller coaster of emotions?
Do you know it's possible to feel positive and negative emotions at the same time?
Listen up because today we are talking about the single and dual spectrum of emotions.
Single Spectrum often sets us up for disappointment and frustration. Perceiving our emotions on a single spectrum actually complicates our efforts to be happy.
Dual Spectrums of emotions reflect our ability to experience various emotions at various levels at the same time. An example of this would be giving birth, which creates feelings of pain and anguish but it also creates feelings of anticipation and excitement.
Happiness Homework:
1. Positivity Ratio
2. Gratitude
Quotes:
"Expectations breeds frustrations."
"If we think happiness is the absence of unhappiness, we will be constantly frustrated and disappointed."

In this episode, we talk about how negative and positive emotions each serve a purpose in our life. We briefly touch on what role negative emotions play and then shift our focus to how we can pursue more positive emotions to transform us into happier and healthier people!
While negative emotions are important to help us survive (example: Flight or Flight response), they do narrow our focus and limit our ability to think creatively. Negative emotions can also cause physical stress and worry, which can weigh heavy on our mind and body.
On the other hand, positive emotions broaden our focus. They expand our thoughts, increase our creativity, and help us find solutions.
Jamie and Jules reference the Broaden and Build Theory of Positive Emotions, as well as, the Transforming Effect of Positive Emotion (an analogy used was the Domino Effect) by Barbara Frederickson. You will hear examples from research and real-life experiences that you can relate to and apply in your life right now!
