In this episode I interview Megan Reuwer. Megan is the truest definition of success that I have ever seen. I want you for a moment to imagine how difficult it would be to raise a child with a disability while running a successful business. Now imagine If you had 5 children, one died and the other 4 all have serious disabilities. Megan Reuwer is a rockstar. 2 of her children have Spina Bifida, two of her children have a heart defect, and despite this, she is able to care for all of them while building a successful company nationwide.
Her story was so inspirational that I couldn’t help but to reflect and sit in gratitude for the entire day after we finished. No matter how bad you think you have it… someone has it worse and they are still thriving.

You can imagine the shock as Erika was a health nut, extremely active, and has nobody in her family who has ever had cancer.

You have 6 kids and then just decide one day that you are going to quit your day job to make a name for yourself in the movie business. Well that is exactly what he did. Even crazier is he didn’t go to Hollywood to do it. He brought Hollywood to his small town for all of his movies putting the town of Fitzgerald on the map.

While at the top of his game, a health issue caused him to go to the doctor where he was diagnosed with ALS or as many know it Lou Gherigs disease and was told he was going to die. He spent a full year preparing to die prematurely before a chance encounter led him to discovering he was misdiagnosed and actually had Lyme’s disease.
In that year, he discovered what truly matters in life, and he shares the principles in his book that he wrote with a coauthor and former model who was kidnapped, stabbed multiple times and left for dead.

He approached the owners who were hesitant to invest anymore due to it already losing 200k per year, but they reluctantly called him a year later to come on board for $16,000 per year. Peter took that gym to profitability within a year and after buying out the owners over several years, he built SNAP Fitness in one of the largest fitness franchises on Earth with 2,500 locations in 26 countries. In one crazy story you’ll here in this interview, he was in a face to face shoot out in Afghanistan with someone hiding in a cave that had supposedly been cleared.. This exchange of fire from just a few feet away was all captured on video.

In my first solo episode ever, I share a little about my story from joining the military at age 17 to losing everything at age 27 and having to start all over as a new father.
