Narsick was formed in the fall of 2022 by Chapel Hill bassist Sarah Landis and drummer Kyle Parker, Shane Peterson now on guitar and front woman Ash Graña. Once all the pieces were set in place, the songwriting synthesis took off and led to a blend of punk sounds interwoven with many musical influences. Brooklyn-based singer, Chapman Stick player, and multi-instrumentalist Alex Nahas aka Bright Brown confronts our collective existentialism in his hypnotizing new hit “Aimless”. Ironically, the first time Nahas performed “Aimless” was a few days before everything shut down for COVID. At the time, the song was simply an improvisation, but as time went on, the lyrics took on a whole new meaning. Aimless features Nahas singing and playing the rarely heard Chapman Stick, Eddie Avakian on drums, Jamie Muhoberac on keyboards, and Ava Nahas on percussion. As his music has evolved over time, so have his other creative endeavors. Recently, his latest EP offered fans a beautifully illustrated lyric book, where he reflected in a post-2020 world through his dark but hopeful lens. I got the chance to speak with Singer/Songwritter Carrie Baxter. Carrie who now lives in London provided amazing details on how her newest single "YOU" was created.
Speaking on the track, Carrie explains; "If I could do an alternate version of every track I would, specifically just me and a pianist (my favourite instrument) There’s something about the romance of this song and it needing a piano on this version. The space I have to sing and the words being allowed to breath is the stuff I live for.

Model, podcast host and rock n roll goddess Demi Ramos gears up to release her newest single “Killer 4U”. Co-produced with Geoffrey Hufford of Two Feet, Demi’s new track shows off a dynamic range for the young artist, tapping into a variety of musical styles that allow “Killer 4U” to resonate with a wide audience. Introducing elements of trap and hip hop to what was originally meant to be an acoustic hit, Demi and Geff fused nostalgic punk rock energy with modern influences to create a larger than life hit perfect for late summer vibes. Many would describe Demi’s sound as ‘Nirvana’ meets ‘Madonna’. During the quarantine of 2020, she wrote and co-produced “Killer 4U”, combining her hair raising rock musical themes with a modern electronic trap sheen. Formed in 2013, The Foxfires were quick to cultivate their own unique sound and subgenre called Seagaze, combining the psychedelic nature of shoegaze, the energy and dance of pop-rock and post-punk, and the oceanic ambience of surf rock with a positive message. Beloved jazz world artist Pauline Jean releases her newest single “Ain’t I A Woman (Singing Truth)” on the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, a law signed to end racial discrimination in voting. I got the chance to speak with Pauline and we had a great conversation. Paired ahead of another milestone, marking the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, Pauline Jean’s new video reminds the world of the continued fight for women's rights. In her captivating new music video, Pauline Jean sings Sojourner Truths words “Ain’t I A Woman?”, referring to the racial prejudices that have contributed to Black women’s invisibility for centuries. Pauline intends her song to generate awareness of voter registration, women in leadership, gender equality and violence against women. She prays that Sojourner Truth becomes a household name and that her legacy is celebrated annually to value and build upon her immense contributions toward the advancement of Black women’s rights in America.
Rising alt rock band Kuwalla has captured our hearts with the release of their timely new single, “Just Fine.”
The song was written when band member Kyle Sain was raising his first child with his girlfriend; the three of them were homeless, couch hopping, and living in the car they used to drive him back and forth from the Inland Empire to Orange County for work. “I wanted this song to be kind of anthemic. I want people to feel like this song is a hand on their back reassuring them through the hard times.” says Kyle.
Starting in 2018, the LA-based band began playing shows up and down the west coast to test out their new-found beloved sound in front of LIVE audiences. Show history includes House of Blues, The Roxy, Resident LA and many more. Grass Valley-based Alt Rock/Metal band Follow Me Dark packages their first four singles in their debut EP “Stars Collide” I got the chance to speak with band members Stephen Kozak (vocals/guitar), Sean Batinic (guitar), Elliott Grove (bass), and Jim Boots (drums). “There’s a tension in the music that reflects the tension of the times,” says vocalist Stephen Kozak, “and I think the question we want to ask our audience is, can you face the outer darkness as a reflection of something internal? The Silent Boys were once a constant part of the Richmond, Virginia alternative music scene, playing the local club circuit from the mid-‘80s until 1991. Dietz reformed the group in 1999 after the release of several Silent Boys songs on various indie record labels. Since then, he has continued to write infectious songs with a nod to the guitar pop greats of the ’80s—The Feelies, REM, The Smiths, The Go-Betweens etc. with a sound, as one writer noted, comprised of "Ultra-melodic lead guitar, strumming acoustic, snappy drums, and expressive bass-lines that propel finely crafted pop songs, brimming with lyrical optimism." Although the line-up has shifted over the years, The Silent Boys currently consist of founder and rhythm guitarist Wallace Dietz, longtime lead guitarist John Suchocki, drummer John Morand, and bassist Michael Click.

Created by Mikan Media, the music video for the title track, “Make it Count,” expresses Davis’s amazement at our inability to affect time’s linear motion. Struck by nostalgia upon looking at an old photograph, the video features Davis driving by the house where he grew up, speaking to the creases in each of our timelines while paying homage to Davis’s personal history; the song lyrics note how his family disintegrated a little after they moved and also serves as a place for Davis to say he misses his Dad - something he needed. Illustrating shared human experiences, the music video also features a few real stories including one of grief through the eyes of a woman looking upward in a church, holding a picture of her brother who took his life; it also tells of rebirth and life through the eyes of a young mother with her child. Matthew Browning is an emerging alternative rock artist breaking through to the top. His most recent singles, “I Walked Over the Edge” and “Midnight Symphony,” are clear indicators of his talent and versatility. Parisian electro-pop duo SACRE will be sharing their brand new single “7:00PM VAHINE”, via their very own imprint, Palmtree Hotel. The single is the first of many to be shared from their forthcoming album, “LOVE REVOLUTION,” which will be part of SACRE’s exciting project that harnesses music, photography and storytelling; the new album will be released track by track every first Friday of the month, for every month in 2019. New York-born, Nashville-based electro-pop songstress, Eulene, has released her debut single, ‘Momma’ via GoGoLove Records . ‘Momma’ has been taken from her highly anticipated upcoming self-titled EP which was mixed by Grammy-nominated Erik Madrid (ZAYN, Demi Lovato, Kehlani, Kiiara, 30 Seconds to Mars, Charli XCX, Tinashe, Kygo). ‘Momma’ was composed and produced by Eulene alongside prolific songwriter Angelo Petraglia who has worked extensively with global rock phenomenon Kings of Leon for which he wrote and produced many of their albums. Petraglia played an integral role in the formation of Kings of Leon’s early sound, catapulting them into worldwide charts. British composer and electronic producer Circles And Ellipses releases “Burn:Cycle Reworks” via Here & Now Recordings; a follow-up EP to the original soundtrack of the 1994 video game Burn:Cycle, the first ever video game soundtrack to feature orchestral music, consisting of four reimagined electronic compositions. Originally composed and produced by both Chris Whitten and BAFTA-nominated British film score composer, conductor, producer and musician Simon Boswell in the early ‘90s for the adventure video-game title published by Philips Interactive Media,
Chris Whitten now returns as Circles And Ellipses to share reworks of this classic game soundtrack. Whitten’s musical journey has been a vast and impressive one so far, from producing classic ‘80s hit-singles such as "What I Am"by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians (which currently boasts 10 million views on YouTube alone), to providing drums for "The Whole of the Moon"by The Waterboys and the legendary Sir Paul McCartney’s 1989 album“Flowers In The Dirt”and joining iconic British rock band Dire Straits on their final world tour from 1991-1992 and once again during their 2017 reunion tour.
Chris Whitten is also widely recognised for composing original scores for top media companies, including BBC and Discovery Channel. Circles And Ellipses has just done a Mix for NTS Radio’s Tim Noakes’ ‘Synth Hero Show’ whose previous guests include film composer Clint Mansell, dance duo Orbital, Stranger Things composer Kyle Dixon, and Paul White from R&S Records. Noakes has described Whitten as“cult drum God”.
Chris Whitten was born in Wimbledon, just outside London and now lives in the west of England, near Bath and Glastonbury. With a burning desire to pursue a musical career, Whitten left home at the early age of just 16 to study jazz and classical composition at The City Of Leeds College Of Music, although his musical diploma would be cut short in 1979 after picking up more local gigs and eventually embarking on a tour with seminal British jazz-fusion guitarist Gary Boyle.
In the early 1980s, producer and guitarist Simon Boswell invited Whitten to perform drums on an album session in Rome. On returning to London, Whitten would contribute to many various styled projects and bands including punk/ funk band Out fronted by local fashion icon and journalist Alix Sharkey, repeated RCA Studio Sessions in Rome, and working as drummer and arranger on several hit albums for celebrated Italian musicians such as Francesco De Gregori, Gianni Morandiand Riccardo Cocciante, collaborating on Cocciante’s 10th studio album with orchestral arranger Paul Buckmaster(Elton John, Miles Davis).
Former bandmate Karl Wallinger had since joined Scottish-Irish folk rock band The Waterboys, and in 1984, Whitten would take up drum duties.Chris Whitten performed drums on the hit single “The Whole Of The Moon”, which is still regarded as The Waterboys’“finest hour and signature recording”. Whitten then gained a shining reputation as a prolific freelance studio drummer for artists such as Swing Out Sister and Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders).
Co-producer of the original “Burn:Cycle Soundtrack”Simon Boswell currently holds more than 90 credits in film and TV composition, including acclaimed classics such as Phenomena(1985), Santa Sangre(1989), A Midsummer Night’s Dream(1999)and many more. Boswell's record productions from the 1980’s have influenced many other contemporary musicians, notably "Block Rockin' Beats"by UK electronic act The Chemical Brothers.
Whitten sees himself as a drummer with a passion for synthesizers. Although he loves the synth sounds of 90’s techno and electronica, Whitten also takes influences from more classic sounds such as the work of Herbie Hancock, Jan Garbarek and Eberhard Weber.As for his electronica inspirations, Whitten has drawn influence from the likes of minimal techno artist Speedy J, early Detroit techno from 69(Carl Craig) and Kenny Larkin, as well UK’s Kirk DeGiorgio and contemporary electronic producer Lone. Whitten’s work as Circles And Ellipses for the “Burn:Cycle Reworks” EP can best be compared to minimal techno maestros such as Stephan Bodzin and Max Cooper.
Brazilian electronic-indie three-piece Lumen Craft released their latest single, "Stranger", via Natasha Records on the 18th January 2019. Featured in a slew of top Spotify playlists and as well as in acclaimed publications such as Folha de São Paulo, Brazil's widest reaching newspaper, MTV's Monkeybuzz, the blog of multi-billion dollar company Converse and Brazil's most in-demand music guide, Popload Sessions; Lumen Craft continue to go from strength to strength. The band have an infectious live presence and have performed for the prestigious Sofar Sound Latin America in 2016, at one of the biggest indie festivals in Brazil, MECA Inhotim Festival, in 2017, INNER multi.art events, and have been hand-picked to play at Brazil's Rock The Mountain 2018 next month, where they will be sharing a stage with Brazilian stars Planet Hemp and BaianaSystem. Ukraine’s favourite pop idol is back with a UK single ‘Sweet Love’, a breath-taking pop ballad which combines power pop vocals with a fresh jazzier, soulful sound.
‘Sweet Love’ is an English remake of her chart-topping Ukraine single ‘Namalyuyu tobi zori’. Tina says that ‘Sweet Love’ is “a song about getting butterflies in your stomach! At the heart of the track is Ukrainian melody and neo-soul groove where traditions and trends meet to create magic!”

Scotland's iconic pop singer 'Natasha England' returns with a single 'Somehow', taken off her earlier released album 'Somehow'. The track captures dreamy vocals with a prominent sense of womanhood shown through the isolated message within the track.
The track 'Somehow' was inspired by Natasha's own relationship experience, which may also be understood by other people who find themselves in a sad and frightening situation which may have left people feel 'hopeless' and 'trapped'. Natasha quotes it is 'about a previously loving relationship', and the realisation that your past lover will not change, which is an opportunity for self-growth. Natasha says "All the songs on my album are a diary of my life, I write from personal experience"
Natasha England has spent a lifetime making music. She was singing in the church choir in her native Scotland before her 10th birthday, and blues songs in a blues band by the age of 13. At 20, she was working in management, and helping to oversee the careers of, among others, David Bowie and Rod Stewart. A few years later, she had her own label, Towerbell, which launched the careers of Darts and Chas & Dave. And as a promoter, she arranged European tours for Jerry Lee Lewis, The Commodores, The Average White Band and James Brown.
By 1982, she was a Top 10 chart act with her version of the classic Iko Iko, produced by Tom Newman of Tubular Bells fame. It also charted in Ireland reaching number 7, and New Zealand where it peaked at number 5 as well as scoring 26th biggest selling single of the year. It was quickly followed by another hit, The Boom Boom Room and a charting album, Captured.

Butch is well-known for his accomplishments on the basketball court but he has been much morre successful in the music arena with Gold, Platinum and Diamond recording with Biggie Smalls ‘Life after death’ album. After initially getting into the music business to help his four brothers with their career as the family band, "Ingram", Butch found he could make a living by producing many well-known acts like Ronnie Dyson, Barbarba Mason, Blue Magic, Roz Ryan, Major Harris and Odyssey, to name just a few.
Butch is also an award-winning studio engineer, receiving Gold and Platinum Records for his work on the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack with Kool & The Gang. The Academy of Fine Arts recognized him for his outstanding work on the theme song for the Alzheimer's Association, titled "If You Could Remember", and he was conferred an Honorary Master's Degree by Cambridge University for that same song.

The way we did it was, I composed and wrote at home and then came to the studio to put everything together and push the songs to the next level with my wonderful partner. Tokyo Police Club wrote their brand new album, 'TPC', in a beautiful old church in rural Ontario, staying together and working on the songs while bonding in the countryside. The release of Tokyo Police Club's'TPC' album will mark an important moment for this group of musicians, as it almost never came to fruition. Tokyo Police Club drummer Greg Alsop explains, "The feeling that we were so close to breaking up gave us the freedom to enjoy each other more, to enjoy making music together ... If we're not doing it for the sake of being a successful band, but just trying to make an album we're happy with, it takes the pressure off. The expectation was just that we'd do something that would make us happy." In the midst of a near-disbanding, David Monksmanaged to convince the rest of the band that they should not go out without a fight, and not without taking the time to write new music and, importantly, to really enjoy the process. "I think there's a lot more optimism and a lot less confusion now," says Monks. "That's why we called the record 'TPC'. It was a whole process of looking at the band and deciding what it is. There's an excitement and optimism. Let's just let it exist."

London King, born Kiara Isabella M. -Monroe, is a singer-songwriter based in London, United Kingdom. She started singing and acting at age 4, when she joined a children theatre company called "The Mad Hatter." From age 4 to age 12 she took part to more than 10 plays. At age 9 she discovered contemporary dance, and pursued it until age 11. At age 14 she started writing her own songs, novels, and poetry. Between age 14 and 16 she was the frontwoman of a punk band called "Rancid", where she was the singer and the songwriter of their songs.Her late 16 have been time of great change, since she left her previous band, and started a solo career. She recorded her first demo, 'Sinking in The Darkness' in Los Angeles. When she moved permanently to London, and re-recorded her first single 'Sinking in the Darkness', which was re-reprised and mastered by James Colah. Together they have collaborated to the first EP of London King, called Golden Edition, including singles as Lost Juliet and No Matter. In 2014 she collaborated with Cornel Sorian, who has been sighed to Warner Music for 10 years. They have worked together on the songs Skin and Your Attention.

Natalise + the Sunset Run is a pop/alternative band, radiating a magnetic softness with EP Glimpses of the Sun and the brand new single "The Lucky Ones"
Natalise’s musical and artistic journey has taken a variety of adventurous paths. Beginning with piano lessons at the age of three, dance at seven, singing in the church choir at eight, she then auditioned and began training at the renown San Francisco Conservatory of Music at age 11, where she began her journey to become an accomplished classically trained pianist and vocalist. Natalise, however, soon found greatest solace and inspiration in writing her own songs on the piano.
While attending Stanford University (from which she graduated in three years with high honors) she simultaneously recorded and released a solo album on her own independent label which became a hit on San Francisco radio.
Thereafter, Natalise formed her band Natalise + the Sunset Run and has performed at over 150 venues all over the world, including the famed Viper Room, the House of Blues, and The Hotel Cafe, as well as colleges like Columbia, Stanford, and UCLA. Natalise is also a national anthem singer for her hometown team the Golden State Warriors. Natalise + the Sunset Run's songs have been featured on television shows on such networks as MTV, VH1, Oxygen, and the CW.

In 2016 Cherrill was approached and encouraged by (famed Philly Soul producer) Butch Ingram to record a solo album entitled, "I'm Doing Fine". Cherrill's voice had grown stronger over the years and found her in top form as she performed some of her favorite pop hits from a wide array of artists and styles.

Cherrill Rae is a dynamic personality with a bigger-than-life stage persona. She began her professional singing career at the age of 18. She was signed by A&M records in 1980 and had a hit single with a remake of the old Doris Day song “Que Sera Sera”. It was arranged with a percussive Latin beat and killer vocals. It climbed to number one on the Canadian top 40 and stayed there for ten consecutive weeks. After that came a succession of hits from her second album, Dancing up a Storm.

Stand By Me - A Tribute To My Father, Ben E. King On the heels of the song's performance at Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding, the recording of "Stand By Me" was 6 months in the making. Who could have known that these two spectacular events would occur simultaneously. Originally recorded in 1960 by legendary singer-songwriter Ben E. King, "Stand By Me" has been covered by more than 400 artists, from Otis Redding to John Lennon to Tracy Chapman.
In 2012 it was estimated that the song's royalties had topped $US 22.8 million, making it the sixth highest-earning song at that time. Then in 2015 King's original version was inducted into the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress, as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", just under five weeks before his death. Later in the year, the 2015 lineup of The Drifters recorded it, in tribute to King.

Paul Nelson is a Grammy-winning American guitarist, performer, record producer, and songwriter. Who has worked with everyone from Eric Clapton to members of the Allman Brothers Band and the list goes on.
Nelson was not only the hand picked guitarist to legendary rock/blues icon Johnny Winter but is recognized in his own right as one of today's top guitarists. "Johnny definitely took me under his wing," Nelson remembers his late friend and mentor. "The blues world does that. One musician hands you the torch, and then you try to run with it. Johnny took pride in turning me on to the likes of Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters Delta, Texas and Chicago blues – all the music that he loved. I knew what he was doing for me, and I am really appreciative for that."
Staying at #1 on the "Hot New Releases" charts for months Nelson's latest project "Badass Generation" on Sony Records still maintains his unmistakable connection to the Blues, but it also finds the guitarist showing his many other musical dimentions fans have come expect considering him one of music's most respected and influential contemporary artists.
On this album Nelson and his newly formed band skillfully incorporate an array of sounds and styles, with what Nelson's fans know to be his calling card: remarkable, world-class virtuosity on the guitar - what you might expect of someone who was also taught by six-string master Steve Vai. Young actor on the rise, Jet Jurgensmeyer, has appeared in some of the hottest projects in film and television today, securing multiple award nominations for his performances. In 2017, he lended his voice to the highly-anticipated voice over role of Stinky in the new lm based on the popular Nickelodeon animated TV-series, HEY ARNOLD! JUNGLE MOVIE [Set to premiere on November 23, 2017]. Ben lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the site of a 3000 year old Indian village. He creates his songs, art, and stories on sacred land, and feels the passage of those who came before him in the stone tools, jasper arrowheads, and clay pottery slipping down the river banks. When he’s not performing, Ben is at home enjoying his proudest works of all – his two sons. He wishes them well on their journeys into adulthood.
Ben released his fourth CD, “Flesh and Bone,” on February 7, 2018. The album features Steuart Smith from The Eagles, as well as Steve Van Dam and Nate Brown of the band, Everything (with hit single, “Hooch”). “Flesh and Bone” displays Ben’s artwork and lyrics in a 16-page booklet, which comes with the CD. “Flesh and Bone” is all we have to travel through the mistakes and triumphs that make us who we are.
Ben has been a performing musician in the DC area since the 70′s. He was on Lifesong Records { Jim Croce}, RCA Sunberry/ Dunbar, was signed to Nashville’s Cedarwood Publishing as a writer, has appeared as a musical guest on the Today Show, written 2 nationally aired filmscores for NBC television documentarys, was the Grand Prize winner in the 10th Annual Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, has appeared on over 100 albums and been involved in too many inane jingles, appeared as the opening act or recorded with Foreigner, Styx, Don Felder, Steve Laurie of the Hollies, the Dillards, Poco, Rick Derringer, Steuart Smith of the Eagles, Bo Diddly, Dave Mason and John Cougar Mellencamp. His first album, “River Deep In Me ” was produced by John Jennings, who also produced Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Ben opened for Billy Ray Cyrus in Washington, DC before 80,000 people for Rolling Thunder, and he returned to their stage again in 2015 and 2016, where crowds of 40,000 people gather at the Lincoln Memorial. He released two other solo albums, “48 States of Love” and “Loveland” which include songs which are featured in the film “Recludere” and on MSNBC’s show “Juvies”. Disney recently licensed his song “Every One of Us” from “Loveland”. He is signed to a publisher in LA who works exclusively in television and film, and was the force behind CBS music for 12 years. Ben plays piano and sings songs he’s written about his life and the world around him. He is also a mixed media constructionist, and is about to release his first novel, “Big Boy Movers, Sex, Trucks, and Rock and Roll” about his life as the owner of a rock and roll moving company.

In 2008 he released his debut album 'Distance', while still at college studying journalism. Universal distributed the record, but for all intents and purposes Robert was an independent artist. He describes the period of time as "expensive and exhausting". In 2012 he followed up the record with 'Resistance', an EP that received wide critical acclaim. Golden Plec said Robert had "more potential and less ego than most others in this country".
A year later the EP was remixed and released as 'Reincarnated' and lead by a striking remodelling of his track "Too Late" by EDM producer Matty Graham. The track drew comparisons with Pet Shop Boys and Robert was elated. "Once I got the PSB comparison I thought well that's it, it's not going to get any better...and so I retired!", Robert says, and it's hard to tell if he's joking or not.
Cut to summer 2017 and Robert was in Las Vegas at a Calvin Harris show. "I had been working two jobs and was doing a course that would lead me to office cubicle hell", Robert explains. "At that Calvin show I felt like I was jolted back to life, it was euphoric, and in that moment I decided I had to make new music, because music is sanity for me, I need that creative outlet to feel alive".
Robert set about finding a producer who would bring his new songs to life. After multiple fruitless meetings, he made the call to drummer Steve Hogan (who produced Robert's first record) that would prove to be a turning point. "It turned out he'd dismantled his studio, but he was certain he knew the man for the job". Enter Stuart Gray, multi-instrumentalist and producer extraordinaire of Jealoustown Studios in Ireland, where the likes of Hozier and Ryan Sheridan have previously recorded hits.
"I went in to meet Stuart with Steve, who I hadn't seen in a decade, and we just got to work straight away", Robert says, sounding altogether more optimistic than before. "I had these new songs but I was nervous about what people would think of them, I'd lost confidence in myself as a writer and a vocalist. Stuart said to me 'If we're going to do this, do it for you, make the music you want to make and forget about everyone outside of this studio' and for once, I did what I was told".
Robert describes the short time in January he spent recording two singles at Jealoustown Studios as "cheap therapy". "First Stuart got my head right, then he got me to sing like I've never sang before. He was brutally honest about the material I presented - he'd say things like 'where's the chorus, I'm not hearing it' and I'd panic thinking, 'I'm a temperemental writer, will I be able to write a chorus on demand'.
That's how the big anthemic chorus of upcoming single "You Found Me" came about, he explains. "I wanted my Coldplay moment, I wanted to go from the darkness of those verses into a euphoric sing-along moment that makes you feel like it's all going to be alright. So right then I went into the booth and belted out that 'Yeah...' line, and from there on I knew, this combination of people in the room is the one to make me dig deep".
With his first single in five years due for release on March 30, Robert tells us his expectations are different from before. "I'm not looking for financial gain, fame or critical acclaim", he says, "I'm just thrilled to be back in the game".

Steve Hunter "Before The Lights Go Out" is long time Alice Cooper/Lou Reed Guitarist Steve Hunter's latest solo album. The cover art and title make a statement about his failing eyesight, but don't make the mistake of thinking this is a quiet wave goodbye. As soon as you put on the first track, you will know that this is more like a Blues Rock Declaration of Independence! There are sexy grooves, luscious guitar tones and melodies galore.
As with all Hunter's releases, there is some diversity and sound imagery, not least of which is Tienes Mi Corazón where alongside his nylon string improvisation comes the sound of his own heart. And listen out for Joe Satriani adding his fire to the heat of "Mojo Man."
Also joining Steve on a couple of tracks are two great Bass players: Erik Scott can be heard on "Mojo Man," Erik is also an Alice Cooper alumni. On "Under The Bodhi Tree" is Andy Stoller. Steve and Andy toured together with Tracy Chapman during the "Telling Stories" album period, most recently Andy has been touring with Ann Wilson of Heart.

Steve Hunter is his own man; he has been around the block with a forty-five year career.
From his 1973 solos on Alice Cooper's "Billion Dollar Babies" album, his legendary acoustic work on Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill," his "Intro" to Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane" and his searing opening solos on Aerosmith's version of "Train Kept A Rolling" Most recently he can be heard on Alice Cooper's 2017 album "Paranormal" making this his ninth Cooper album appearance. The Deacon is not done yet but his life is evolving! He has challenges playing live now but his honed skill, tone, power and soul, is dished up on this hot plate of guitar driven instrumental tastiness.

Beat the System is a Malaysian/American rock band from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Formed in 2005 by lead guitarist Stewart Sellan. Currently the band consists of lead vocalist May Leigh (formerly solo singer Megan McCauley)< lead guitarist Stewart Sellan, drummer/composer Gerald Sellan and composer Adrian Puan. Since the band's formation, there has been several line-up changes.
The band's debut single, "Gone", was on TraXX FM charts for 10 weeks in a row and 4 weeks at number 1. Beat the System has released multiple singles, including 2009's "Penipuan Berwaris", which was also selected as the single of Warner Music Malaysia compilation album "Indiestructable: Spirit of Freedom",2010's "Transisi" a track that was written and produced by Beat the System for Warner Music Malaysia/EMI artist Fiq for his second album 'Diagnostik', and 2012's "Shine" featuring Malaysian Idol winner Jaclyn Victor.
In response to their single "Shine", Beat the System won the Song of the Year Award, Best Collaboration Award and Best Genre Bender Award at the 2012 Asian Voice Independent Music Awards featuring bands all over Asia.
