Welcome to DC Cinematic Minute, the daily podcast in which we analyze and discuss each film within the DC Cinematic Universe, one individual minute at a time! Currently covering Zack Snyder's Justice League!
It’s been three years since the events of Dark Knight III: The Master Race. Lara has spent the time learning to be more human, and Carrie Kelley has been growing into her new role as Batwoman. But a terrifying evil has returned to Gotham City, and Lara and Carrie must team up to stop this growing threat–and they have a secret weapon. Young Jonathan Kent, “the golden child,” has a power inside of him unlike anything the world has ever seen, and it’s about to be unleashed…
From the collapsing spires of Krypton to the bucolic fields of Kansas, from the submerged splendors of Atlantis to the chaotic energy of the Daily Planet, the story of Clark Kent, last son of the House of El, is the stuff of legend. Now, two of comics’ greatest creators join forces to bring a bold new vision of the Man of Steel’s origin to life.
It’s been three years since the Batman defeated Lex Luthor and saved the world from tyranny. Three years since anyone has seen Gotham City’s guardian alive. Wonder Woman, Queen of the Amazons…Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern…Superman, the Man of Steel…all of the Dark Knight’s allies have retreated from the front lines of the war against injustice.
But now a new war is beginning. An army of unimaginable power led by Superman’s own daughter is preparing to claim Earth as their new world.
The only force that can stop this master race—Batman—is dead.
Long live the new Batman…
Version 1.0.0Discover a lost chapter in the Dark Knight saga, as writers Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello reveal the events that led to the fall of Batman, and the death of Robin.
“The all-new saga of Batman and Robin begins here! The people responsible for some of comicdom’s greatest tales, Frank Miller (BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, Sin City) and Jim Lee (BATMAN: HUSH) team up for the first time to bring you Batman and Robin like you’ve never seen them before in this imaginative reinvention of these classic characters that will have your eyes popping and your head spinning! All hell breaks loose at the circus as millionaire Bruce Wayne and gal pal Vicki Vale witness a young boy’s life shattered before their eyes. Orphaned, Dick Grayson has nowhere to go and no one to turn to–no one but Bruce Wayne and the shadow of the bat! Expect action, adventure, guest stars and the unexpected as Miller and Lee deliver the ultimate tales of the Dynamic Duo!”
Three years after the events in THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, Batman knows the world is nowhere near the perfect little place it pretends to be, and he sees the cracks in the system that have been neatly covered up. It’s time to find where all the heroes have gone, and the Dark Knight is the right man for the job.
This masterpiece of comics storytelling brings to life a dark world…and an even darker man. Frank Miller completely reinvents the legend of Batman in his saga of a near-future Gotham City gone to rot, ten years after the Dark Knight’s retirement.
