In this episode, Sean and Denise delve into a riveting discussion of what they perceive to be the somewhat lackluster Episode 86: "Stabbed My Neighbor or Protected Myself?" of the show "Accused: Guilty or Innocent?" The episode revolves around the case of John, who is accused of stabbing his neighbor Tim, and the varying stories and evidence that are presented.
Their animated discussion includes sharp insights into the legalities of self-defense, analyzing the evidence, questioning the private investigator’s findings, and pondering on the outcome of the case. The hosts also touch on the role that interpersonal relationships and potential illicit affairs play in the unfolding events.
Listen / Watch as Sean and Denise pick at the intricacies of the episode, share their opinion about the quality of the episode, as well as lay out different possibilities on how the case could have proceeded based on their analysis of the facts and circumstances. It's a must-watch / listen for fans of legal drama discussions!

In this episode, Sean and Denise sit down to catch up, but the episode quickly turns into a therapeutic conversation about providing friends salient advice about relationships, dealing with disagreements in a relationship, weaponizing communication with our partners (often unintentionally), relying too heavily on emotional reasoning, and misusing the term emotional space – leading to many breakdowns.
Sean recently began counseling and journaling and shares a little about his process. We hope it is a good, honest, and vulnerable conversation that will spark similar conversations. Again, these are our opinions; you don’t have to agree. But, if you don’t, why don’t you come on and talk with us?

In this episode, Sean, Denise, and Humberto discuss the sad case of Judy Malinowski, who was set on fire behind a Speedway gasoline by her then-boyfriend, William ("Michael") Slager. Even though she suffered over 90% burns on her body, Judy persevered and fought for well over two years – setting a precedent in Ohio of a woman testifying before her death about the events leading to her demise.
The case explores the concept of the death penalty, familial trauma, and recognizing when children are at an appropriate age to discuss their trauma and overall healing. The documentary is called "The Fire That Took Her" on Paramount+.

Oh, snap – it’s def been a minute, and that’s why Sean and Denise have a Happy Hour discussion. In this Episode: “It’s Def Been a Minute,” we cover several topics:
An annoying representative’s attempt to say that being called a conservative is akin to calling a black person the n-word: Mmmm, it definitely isn’t, but okay, sis;
Now, why are you trying to be a super employee – discussing the store manager who chases a shoplifter down in her car to retrieve the stolen goods.
Two adults preying on children:
Andrea Serrano in Colorado, who only receives 90 days in jail for sleeping with and becoming pregnant by a 13-year-old – where the heck do they do that at?
Caurey Rollins preys on young people and tries to lick their feet, and he has done or attempted to do this to several kids within a relatively short period of time.
Detroit student strip-searched while menstruating – over a damn vape pen.
We give relationship advice to two folks.
An asexual who has submitted to her partner’s urges for 9 years despite the fact that it is physically and emotionally painful.
A person who no longer wants to be in a relationship but wants you available for their needs.
Does it matter if others celebrate your birthday?

In Episode 32, we discussed Angel Bumpass’s case. Recall this is the case where Angel Bumpass was charged with Felony Murder and Aggravated Robbery for a crime that occurred when she was only 13 years old. She was arrested for failing to appear in court for a speeding ticket, and when her fingerprints were put into the database, it connected her to a crime that occurred when she was only 13 — nearly eleven (11) years earlier.
Angel is getting a new trial, and in this episode, we break down the court’s opinion granting her a new trial. We really enjoyed dissecting the opinion, so stay tuned.
And yes, it has been a minute since we released an episode, but life has been lifing for us! This episode was recorded in early March, but Sean just edited it. #heisfired

We discuss Lukasz Rybarczyk, a former Santander banker, accused of pilfering the life savings of a 78-year-old client in 2015. Prosecutors claim that Lukasz stole 26,000 lbs from the 78-year-old. In 2015, that amounted to approximately $41,080. Not only that, but Prosecutors also accuse Lukasz of taking over a dead client's account in an attempt surreptitiously move the stolen funds. He claims he was duped and a victim of organized crimes.

Sean and Denise sit down to discuss another Peacock documentary called: The Accused. Filmed in the UK, this documentary is meant to look into the lives of people accused of committing a crime and the aftermath of living in the shadows of their allegations.
Episode 1 brings us the case of Kenzey, a mother accused of child cruelty and failing to protect her daughter. The child's father, Kyle, is charged with violently shaking the baby, which causes her severe injuries and brain damage. Did Kyle show violent tendencies before the incident of wanting to harm the baby? Did Kenzey do all she could as a mother to protect her baby? Who really shook the baby?

Sean and Denise sit down to discuss Season 2, Episode e of the true crime show: Accused: Guilty or Innocent. The case involves Brian Lapsys, an individual who claimed to have been coming to the defense of a 12-year-old child. The minor purportedly escaped her home to seek shelter at Brian’s mother’s home because her father allegedly hit her. But, as in any case, where exactly does the truth lie (get it)? Brian was accused of aggravated assault when he pointed an AK-47 at the father and let out two rounds from the gun. Were they warning shots or was Brian being reckless?
As a parent, would you let some “stranger” hold your child in their home under the guise that they were intervening and protecting them? And as a neighbor, would you intervene in a situation where the allegation is that the parent hit the child?

In this episode, Sean is Brunchin’ & Blabbin’ (with no food involved) with his friend Jenny. We then discuss the leaked draft opinion concerning what the high court is destined to do – overturn Roe v. Wade. Are you offended by the leak? One of us is truly offended, while the other is not so much. We then begin discussing the protests in front of some of the justice’s homes. Is this wrong? Again, one of us thinks so, and the other – not so much.
We then venture to the more sensitive and controversial issue – the draft opinion’s conclusion to overturn Roe v. Wade and Casey. We provide our personal views on abortion and talk through the issue. In this episode, Sean begins to discuss whether or not the 2-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder represents a Great Erasure as discussed in a recent New York Times article. During this time, racial reckoning was occurring, but since then, folks have pushed counterintuitive agenda items, such as the critical race theory debacle and states passing laws restricting the means and manner in which citizens protest. Does the erosion of the Black Lives Matter murals and paintings represent an erosion of the movement? Are the artists’ voices lost?
He also discusses the horrific and senseless attack of 23-year-old Rayme McCoy by 59-year-old sex offender Kevin Williamson at a gas station in Jacksonville, Florida (video of the incident is from News4Jax). Why is just being black an issue for some many? He discusses the implications of the issue, including whether bystanders have an obligation to intervene. And this conversation segues to the horrific Buffalo New York shooting involving 18-year-old domestic terrorist Payton Gendron.
Lastly, the discussion moves to whether or not, we as Black people, need to use our votes to save the democracy – stemming from a conversation Uncle Luke began on Twitter.

In this episode, Sean is joined at the bar by his friend, Jay. In their typical fashion – on and offline – they discuss a complex subject: the health & wealth of the Black Community. They do not pretend to have the answers, but it is the start of the necessary conversations that black families should have. Riddled by fear, embarrassment, and secrecy, we too often fail to disclose pertinent things to one another, such as assets, wishes if one were to be incapacitated, and how one prefers to be taken care of upon death. We often have to make decisions in a state of an emotional wreck instead of from a place of logical reasoning, which could be avoidable.
Sean and Jay (as well as some of our other friends) often have these types of conversations at brunch, while sitting on the back porch, while out at a bar, or over the phone. Perhaps, if more of us had these difficult conversations, we could increase the health and wealth of our community.

In this episode, Sean is joined at the bar by his friend, Michel, who is gracing the podcast for the first time. In this episode, we discuss the sensitive, but necessary topic of immigration – namely how one operates in a society where they are often in the shadows.
But of course, before we delve into the main topic, we catch up on a few things, discussing fashion and other things.
About the topic at hand: do you know a person who was brought to America as a child, but now, as an adult finds themselves navigating the complicated, emotional, and stressful immigration process? Here, Michel opens up for the first time about his experience of being identified as an “undocumented” person. He discusses finding out about his immigration status, things that he wished would have been done to rectify the situation and being a recipient of DACA.

In this episode, Sean is joined at the bar by his friend, Jay, who has graced the podcast a couple of times, ready to discuss mature dating.
But of course, before we delve into the main topic, we catch up on a few things, such as whether or not we should start a two-person book club. Jay claims she is ready and prepared, but we will see what follow-through comes of that. We also discuss how Sean has had a bias against Will Smith since the Fresh Prince days, and Jay discusses her disdain concerning the Oscars debacle.
About the topic at hand, is there a secret to dating maturely? Do you believe in the concept of being “in love” – can you guess which of the two does not believe in the idea. Is marriage really that important, and does sex truly create an ethereal experience and muck up the concept of love?

In this episode, Sean is at the bar trying to catch you up on where in the world he has been. He discusses the crazy and unpredictable housing market (I mean, these prices were everywhere), how he was stood up by a moving company, how the podcast was scammed (yes, y’all — scammed), and his first “karen” experience!
It is a short one, so jump back in with us, and be prepared for some fun conversations this season.

We are back after a little time away, and you are entering the Season 4 Finale. Here, I talk about my #Thanksgiving (or #Friendsgiving), the pestering COVID saga (messing up my plans), two jury verdicts (Rittenhouse & #AhmaudArbery, how I met Queen Elizabeth, the proper time frame to get to know someone, drama with a few of my friends, and my dog has to wear diapers.

What’s in a word? If you are shot with an AR-15, are you not a #victim? If you are killed with an AR-15, are you not a #victim? Are you only a #victim when the jury convicts someone of killing or injuring you. Well, the judge in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder and attempted murder surely believes that the term “victim” is a #loadedword and that “alleged victim” is its cousin. Yet, the terms #looters #rioters #arsonists are not loaded words (even though technically they also relate to a crime). In this short podcast episode, I discuss the recent pretrial hearing that had folks up in arms on social media.

We are traveling back into time to 2012 to Brockport, New York, on the campus of SUNY at Brockport. Alexandra Kogut, known affectionately as Alex by those who knew her, was a thriving 18-year-old freshman. She was just beginning to blossom, an avid swimmer, and a true friend. Her 21-year-old boyfriend, Clayton Whittemore, was back at home in New Havenport, but they were committed to a long-distance relationship. But that ended with Alex’s brutal #beating and #murder as a result of a #couples #spat gone wrong.

We are traveling back in time to 2008 and internationally to the United Kingdom where we discuss the case of Sarah Richardson. Sarah was only 26 years old when she was taken from this world, receiving over 47 stab wounds and lacerations. Her estranged husband, Edward Richardson, also received knife wounds to his throat and hands. Was Sarah’s #stabbing and #murder a result of a #drugaddiction, or was she the victim of a #serialkiller or #spreekiller? Could her #socialmedia provide a clue to the investigating officers concerning what happened to this young and vibrant soul?

Today’s episode may touch on some sensitive issues, such as statutory rape, LGBTQ issues, and power dynamics in relationships. We are discussing the case of Tarence “TJ” Mitchell and Ronald Taylor Jr. TJ, 18 years old at the time, was Bloomfield High’s star athlete — academically sound and popular. Ronald Taylor, 27 at the time, was TJ’s friend and avid football game supporter. But something happened between them and Ronald ended up dead. Was TJ forced into a relationship with Ronald? Was Ronald attempting to extort TJ into the relationship by threatening to expose him? Or did TJ act out fear of how others would perceive him if they found out that he was in a relationship with another man? Power dynamic because of the age difference? Find out in this episode.

We are discussing the 2010 murder of Nona Belomesoff who was catfished not just once but twice. Come with us back to the sunshine state of Florida, where we discuss a case involving a three-way love affair that went completely left. Left to the sense, that one girl ends up dead, one in jail, and the man involved just living his best life. That’s right, we’re talking about a 2009 crime involving Sarah Ludemann, Rachel Wade, and Josh Camacho. Two women vying for one man’s affection — a man who seemed to care less about either woman, but who enjoyed the Myspace debacle and physical melee.

(1) Travis Stackhouse, a Wisconsin father who is convicted of killing his 5-year old son over some cheesecake; (2) Norway’s law, prohibiting the posting of touched-up photos without saying that you touched up the photo; (3) the fact that God just might not like the ugly that is going on with the Tokyo Olympics; and (4) the senseless murder of a Spain man by twelve individuals — all over being homophobic and ignorant.

The gang is back in the Café this week chatting it up about another case.
In 2018, Conrad Roy III (18 years old) took his own life by poisoning himself with carbon monoxide. During the investigation of his death, it became apparent that his suicide might well have been persuaded by his then “girlfriend” Michelle Carter (17 years old at the time). Despite only having met a few times in person, the two exchange a plethora of (over 65,000) text messages. Many of these text messages focused on Conrad killing himself. Can your words be enough to have you charged and convicted of involuntary manslaughter? Was she needy or just in need of attention? Was she rightly accused of a crime in the first place?

In this Episode, the Peeps sit down to discuss the second episode of A&E’s Guilty or Innocent. Danita Tutt is accused of harming her child. The mother is accused of medical child abuse, starving her child, lying about his symptoms so that he can get surgeries, buying caskets and a headstone for him while he was in hospice, and wanting to give him something to put him to sleep so that he does not wake back up.
I know right, we can’t make this stuff up. Does she suffer from Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSbP)? Was she manipulated by the head nurse of the hospice hospital? Or is she the vindictive crazy mother some claim she is?

In this episode. we discussed the case of Byran “Steven” Lawson who’s being accused of killing his wife Beth “Chandra” Lawson. The crime is caught on camera. Was he an abused husband who had no choice but to shoot his wife, or was it a plot for murder? Hear our take on the matter.

In this episode, Sean, Cristhian, & Denise sit down to discuss the Netflix Documentary 13th.
Directed by Ava DuVernay and released in 2016, this film brings to light how race matters with respect to justice and mass incarceration in the United States. A powerful documentary, not just for those who want to learn, but for those who believe that they know and understand racial disparities in America. It highlights the dramatic increase of incarceration for black and brown individuals, which is attributed to political gamesmanship stemming from the passage of the 13th Amendment to now.

In this episode, Sean, Cristhian, & Denise sit down at the newly renovated Peeps’ Creek Cafe to discuss the powerful, yet VERY controversial, song WAP by Cardi B feat Megan Thee Stallion.
We chat about: (a) the lyrics — are they too sexual and if there is a double standard in music (male artists v. female artists - duh!); (b) Carole Baskin’s unnecessary opinion about the alleged use of tigers from “big cat pimps;” (c) the controversy stemming from Kylie Jenner’s dramatic yet very quick appearance in the video in comparison to the other artists featured; and (d) conservatives attempting to use the video as a talking point about morals and sexual health.
This was a different conversation for us, but quite frankly, a fun one. We discuss it all — there is no holding back on this one.

You heard of Reddit? If you’ve been to their site I am sure you have come across several posts and said to yourself, what the heck? Or I would tell this person this and that.. Well, we have many of times and so we decided to make this a recurring topic on our show — finding Reddit posts and responding to them.
On this episode, we tackle several issues: a) how some people think that if you dress provocatively somehow that is an invitation for sexual assault (yea, stupid right?); b) depression (dealing with family members and relationships); c) lack of sexual desire with your partner; d) young folks complaining about their jobs; e) should you stay or go and more...
We are at the Cafe just sipping, eating, and discussing these topics — giving out that good ole Peeps’ Creek advice. So, grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to drink, listen, and converse!!

In this episode, Sean, Cristhian, & Denise sit down to discuss all things social media. Primarily, how social media has caused us (at least some of us) to think about what we want our online persona to be -- thinking strategically about what we post, how we look, and who will resonate with it. Some of us (yes, some of y’all too) tend to spend more time thinking about the best angle, the perfect lighting, or hell, even take 75 pics just to decide not to post a single picture. With so many platforms available to choose from, which one is best for you? Is it the moment of the Influencer? Man, SOCIAL MEDIA is taking over.

Hey Hey! Welcome back to the Cafe! We are back with another episode, so feel free to sit at our table, listen to the conversation, and grab your drink. Nod your head if you agree. Shake your head if you don’t. But most importantly, continue to come back for more fun, serious, and explosive conversations.
Today’s Menu: What the!?!
On this episode, the Peeps are in Virginia Beach, VA and the host Sean (@bassaxoharp) is joined at the Cafe with Cristhian (@cristhiannmp) and Denise (@hotpricanldy), as well as Davion (Sean’s and Denise’s 15-year old son) having a tough, but necessary, conversation about the fact that Black Lives Matter!
The messaging concerning the Black Lives Matter movement is often misaligned by individuals seeking to divert attention from the true issue — systemic racism. In this episode, the Peeps sit and try to digest George Floyd’s death and the aftermath. But more importantly, this conversation gives Davion the opportunity to express his feelings about the protests, the Black Lives Matter Movement, and systemic racism. It’s a hard conversation, but a worthwhile one.

The Peeps have started a book club: Reading w/the Peeps! This is their FIRST book review. Get a drink and enjoy their friendly discussion (their opinions by no means reflect what the author intended to portray ??) in the book. But the deets are juicy in this book.
Guess what, feel free to join! All you have to do is download the Microsoft Teams app, create an account (if you don’t already have one) (it’s all free), and boom - you’ll be Reading w/the Peeps too ??. Today’s Menu: Visit My Island
On this episode, the host Sean (@bassaxoharp) is at the Cafe having a new drink ?? with Cristhian (@cristhiannmp) and we are chatting it up about Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This game has taken over millions of homes. In fact, in March alone, it sold over 5 million copies. Besides the game, there are real life implications or lessons that one can learn from it. Or perhaps, maybe Sean is just too serious. Judge for yourself - take a listen.
Also, the Peeps have started a book club. That’s right! Reading w/the Peeps! And guess what, you can join! Shake your head if you don’t. But most importantly, continue to come back for more fun, serious, and explosive conversations.
Today’s Menu: The Insecure Effect
On this episode, the host Sean (@bassaxoharp) is at the Cafe having a drink ?? with Cristhian (@cristhiannmp) and we are chatting about HBO’s Insecure. The show has so many triggers concerning relationships (interpersonal and professional) and the concept of insecurities period. But, the main thrust of our conversation is about cheating. Is the blow easier when it is planned or mistaken (i.e. the alcohol made us do it)? Are there double standards regarding the role of a male and female in the relationship? Does not having stable employment give the other partner the right to cheat?!?

On this Special Presidents’ Day episode, the host Sean (@bassaxoharp ) is at the Cafe drinking coffee with newly-minted cafer Deven (who is vying to be the new cohost). And on the Menu today is: Are you Really A Victim?
The two sit down and debate their polarizing opinions on hot-button social issues pertaining to race. It gets so “intense” that Sean actually has to pour out his coffee and switch to Bourbon ??. So be sure to grab your favorite drink and join us for a thought-provoking discussion on identity politics, intersectionality, reparations, white privilege, and so much more. In this episode, the host Sean (@bassaxoharp) is at the Cafe drinking bourbon with his son Davion (who is drinking water), and on the Menu today is: Sex Ed w/Dad?
Simply because a school district is one of the best in the state doesn’t mean that the school would give your child everything that he/she needs or deserves to be successful. Diversity and cultural awareness is a necessary tool in school districts, but sometimes these tools are not employed correctly. Sean sits down with his son to discuss their new adventure of homeschooling this semester (including the ups and downs), the fact that Davion is learning how to drive, and Sean gives Davion a sex education lesson so that he can make healthy and informed decisions relating to sex.
The conversation is entertaining and a peek into the daily interactions between Sean and his son. Single-parenting is no joke! So sit back and join in on the fun.

In this episode, the host Sean (@bassaxoharp) is at the Cafe drinking coffee with Josue (@j__dominguez), and on the Menu today is: Jo-Sue Who?
When you use a company's website to book an appointment with someone, do you say, oh, this name definitely sounds like a particular race and/or ethnicity? What would you do if someone thought your name sounded white and they voiced their disappointment upon finding out that you were in fact Hispanic or Black or some other race or ethnicity? Well, obviously some folks are just that brazen. Sean and Josue sit down and discuss a couple of instances where the fact that Josue is of Mexican descent apparently is directly correlated with his ability to do hair for some patrons. Listen how he deals with the situations, and how Sean dealt with a similar situation.
The conversation is entertaining, deep, and thought-provoking. So sit back and join in on the fun.

Sean and Monte sit at the Cafe and dissect the Facebook post that was going around for New Year's Eve, where individuals were swearing to divorce many things in 2019 to include: (1) the past; (2) pain; (3) doubt; (4) setbacks; (5) negative people; and (6) lack and etc. The conversation is entertaining, deep, and thought-provoking. In the final Episode of Season 1, the Peeps sit at the table with their drinks and discuss "On the Basis of:" Criminal Record (should prisoners be allowed to vote?), Sex (Supreme Court taking up 3 cases to determine if "sex" as used in Title VII protects one because of his/her sexual orientation and/or gender identity") and Citizenship (Wilbur Ross's attempt to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census).
Thanks for your support, and look out for Season 2.
Additionally, Peeps' Creek Cafe will be introducing another podcast - short original stories on crime, seduction, and love. You never know what scenario will be presented. Stay Tuned!!!
In this episode, I chop it up (converse) with my son as he tries to convince me about the import of Fortnite, his bi-racialness (yes, I said it), and school. My friends and I end with a fun game on the Mandela Effect. Rate, Subscribe & Tell a Friend.
In this Episode, the Peeps sit down and discuss the movie Us by Jordan Peele and our favorite tv shows. For the main topic, "Are you too weak for social media," we discuss how social media might be making you too sensitive (or is it?). And we then end this Episode with a discussion about our biggest fears. Thanks for listening, and remember to Drink, Listen and Converse!
The Peeps give a shoutout to Toni Harris (the first female in a skilled football position to sign a letter of intent to play at a college). How dumb is Robert Kraft? (We discuss his prostitution allegations). And on a more serious note, we discuss sexual abuse allegations made by migrant children who are in US custody, the Methodist Church saying, "Gays stay Away" from leadership roles, the sexual abuse of children within the Catholic Church (and the Pope's meeting), and finally sexual assault of nuns (including a ridiculous reason given by Priests in Africa why they are forcing nuns to have sex with them). So, grab your favorite beverage and: Drink, Listen, & Converse with us.
In Episode 7, the Peeps continue their discussion of Code Switching in different communities. With the wisdom imparted by Special Guest, Dr. Tiffany Mitchell, the Peeps challenge each other's perspectives on Code Switching, its impact on mainstream America, and how we can change the status quo specifically within the Black & Hispanic Communities. Happy Black History Month.
In Episode 6, the Peeps check in with each other and discuss Valentine's day (or lack thereof for some of us); finding time to workout and the necessary motivation to do so; the NFL protest: is it over in wake of Colin Kaepernick's and Eric Reid's settlement of their grievances; and finally the main topic of Code Switching in the Black Community...
The Peeps at Peeps Creek: The Double Entendre Podcast discuss the fiasco with Governor Northam (his "it wasn't me" syndrome), having your lover in the same house as your spouse who is suffering from Alzheimers (referencing the B. Smith article), the infamous cheese sandwiches at the FYRE Festival (or lack thereof), FOMO, and the game of follow/unfollow on social media.
So Listen, Rate, and Subscribe. I mean your boy had a 103 degree temperature, and still managed to weather the storm and record. So, y'all better listen :-)
A thought-provoking conversation discussing the Government Shutdown, Steve King's comments in a New York Times' article, and realizing and understanding our own level of success...
The Peeps welcome you into 2019 (although you will hear them say New Years - blame it on the adult beverages), picking up from the previous episode — primarily focusing in this episode on communication and dating under the microscope of social media. :-)
In this episode, the Peeps discuss the fundamentals of a relationship.
