Hey Judge Jodi, get a load of the card my parent’s sent to me for my upcoming wedding. Is this cold or thoughtful?

I'm having an issue and I don't know if I'm being overly reactive. I've been dating the most amazing woman for 4 months - she's gorgeous, clever, interesting and kind. I'm suprised she's into me at all but she is. There is nothing bad about Megan, except the fact that she lives with her ex-boyfriend. Apparently it's because they can't afford to move into separate places right now, and I get it, but they broke up 2 years ago already. I like Eric, but I'm suspicious there's more to this than they're claiming.
It's not me, right?
Maybe you guys can help me slide out of a sticky situation... my sister is a photographer and she was in need of some new clients so I introduced her to a guy I work with - actually one of my bosses - who needed some family photos shot. She invoiced him for $350 and he hasn't paid yet. She is presently mad at me because I feel uncomfortable asking him to pay her. She blames for because I introduced them. Is this ok or am I wrong?
Help

My boyfriend and I were just away and had hired a house sitter to take care of our pets and home while we were away. She's the daughter of a casual friend. She's in her early 20s and has always come across as a responsible young woman, with a good head on her shoulders. Long story short, we came home late Sunday night and found "biological evidence " that there had been a stranger in our bed. We were both disgusted and angry. ! But I'm non confrontational and don't really know the right thing to say. And maybe she didn't do anything wrong in our bed. Would you please talk to her and find out and if she did do something in our bed, tell her that was truly the wrong thing to do. Thanks
Jenny.
My father promised he was going to pay my kid's college tuition and saved money for that. Now he is dating a much younger woman and notified me he is going to be using that money. I think it is ridiculous, my kid was counting on that money. What do you think?
Hey Happy New Year guys ... though mine is starting out a little less cheerful because my husband has decided to sign us up for some nonsensical DRY JANUARY. Fine, if he thinks he overdid it during the holidays, that's his deal, but why suck me into his lame resolution? Isn't this something he can handle on his own? What does Judge Jodi think? I think I already know, that's why I ask.
Valerie
My husband is ruining my Christmas. He notified me the other day – without our ever talking about it – that he was going to make a donation in my name for the holiday in lieu of a gift. Well that’s warm and fuzzy maybe, but I want a gift. He says we have enough “stuff” and charity is what the holidays are all about. But showing someone you love them is also an important part of the holidays. Tell him to buck up and get me something.
Thank you,
Melinda
Maybe Judge Jodi could put on her investigative hat. A month ago I noticed a sizable chunk of money missing from our savings account – I mean, a SIZABLE chunk. My wife and I both have access to the account, and I try not to look over her shoulder on how she spends her money. But lately I’ve also noticed that she’s been lying about where she goes after work. I swear, I don’t want to get jealous or confront her … but something is fishy here. What should I do?
Tim
My girlfriend and I fight about the dumbest things. And I figure our latest fight is so dumb Judge Jodi should chime in. The other day we were setting up the Christmas tree in my apartment. I’ve been using an artificial tree for many years. My girlfriend happened to ask me where I got the tree and I said I bought it with my old girlfriend at McLendon’s or something like that. She freaked out and said I needed to throw the tree away. What? The whole point of getting an artificial tree is that I don’t want to throw the tree away. She left my place in a huff and says she’s not coming over until the tree goes. Bogus, right?
Judge Jodi, I have a friend who has crossed the line. We’ve been dear friends since high school and she just told me last week that she will not be attending my wedding. Why, you say? Because three years ago when she got married, she asked me to be her maid-of-honor, which I gladly accepted. But now that I’m getting married I chose another friend of mine for that duty. And she’s gotten all bent out of shape. Should I feel obliged to put her in the wedding?
Amy
Maybe Judge Jodi can help me understand why my girlfriend is mad at me. Recently she got priced out of her apartment – rents in Seattle suck, by the way – and she asked me if we should move in together. I love her, but I think we should move together because we plan to spend our lives together, not as a financial rescue move. So, I said no. And now she’s furious. I think I did the right thing, or?
Jesse
Today I would like Judge Jodi to give the GRINCH award to my husband. We live in Tacoma next to an assisted living facility that is currently undergoing renovations. So the parking lot is used for construction vehicles. Well my husband, Ken, figured out that he could sell parking in our front yard to families that are coming to visit their loved ones. I keep telling him, goodness gracious, this is the time of year to be generous. But his sign advertising the parking for $7 stays out front. It’s embarrassing.
Nancy
I have to figure out how to handle a work situation, and could use some help. For the holidays, we have an annual tradition of chipping in for a nice gift for our boss, who's very popular with all my coworkers. Do this math....30 people chipping in 10 dollars each gets you $300 to work with. Well, the person elected to buy the gift brought it in yesterday and I was stunned. It was a homemade basket with some fruit, socks, cheese, and candley things. YOU HAD 300 BUCKS AND THIS IS WHAT YOU CAME UP WITH?? We all feel like she kept $150 of it. This is a reflection on all of us. Do I say something?
Is Judge Jodi ready for some heartbreak. I’ve been dating a lovely girl for the last year or so. It finally felt right to pop the question, but before I did, I wanted to ask her father for his blessing. He lives in Idaho, and I don’t know him well, but over Thanksgiving weekend we were there and I pulled him aside and told him of my intentions. He said, NO. That’s right, he said no, and walked out of the room. The rest of the weekend was awkward to say the least. But what do I do now?
Looking forward to your advice Jodi.
Vance
Hey Guys, I listen to your show every day and wanted to contribute a little story to Judge Jodi. My wife is being horrible to me and I think everyone needs to know. Don’t use her real name, which is Erin. Ah forget it, go ahead and use her real name. Anyhow, I broke my arm the other day in an unfortunate accident. It was a serious break that’s going to require some recovery time. Not only is my wife mad at me for hurting myself, she actually wants me to go to my mom’s while I’m recuperating. What happened to “In sickness and in health?” Erin, why do you hate me? Maybe you shouldn’t use her real name. Oh go ahead.
Brett (not my real name)
Please Judge Jodi save me from the lunacy that is my husband. He and I are expecting our first child and while we were brainstorming baby names he came up with the idea to name our kid Sheesa. Middle Name Star. As in, Sheesa Star. I thought it was a joke, but he is deadly serious. He read some research where the name you give your child influences what they make of their lives. So, Sheesa Star is supposed to make a difference in his diluted mind. Please knock some sense into him.

Great morning to you. We lost Mom on April 6 this year. Dad is doing better (they were married 57 years!) but he now wants to hug almost every woman he sees. Not a big, groping, embarrassing hug; just a quick hug. So far, no one has declined, but, I'm afraid eventually someone will.
Dad only showers once a week and sleeps in the same clothes all week. He has also let his hair and beard get long and messy. He's my Dad and it doesn't bother me at all, but if he was only an acquaintance, it would. I'm not asking you to talk to him, but, I was hoping you or some of your listeners might have some suggestions. Dad is VERY sensitive.
Thank-you, Lorrie Carlile 425-355-4575
I am not one to make a mountain out of a mole hill, but this time I really can’t decide – Is this a mountain, or is this nothing?
My husband is a successful copier salesman and recently won a trip for being one of the top sales people in the region. A really nice trip to a resort in Cabo. Unfortunately the dates for the trip are locked and as I am a school teacher I can’t get the time off. So, my husband has decided to take his Administrative Assistant - a 22-year-old WOMAN. I try not to be a jealous, but this seems wrong. On the other hand I don’t want the trip to go to waste. What should I do?
Kristine
Look, I’m not the most politically correct guy so I look to Judge Jodi for what’s okay and what’s not. My wife has been harassing me for the past year to buy her a mink coat for Christmas. I grew up under the impression that wearing mink was cruel … but maybe times have changed. Is that a thing again for women to wear mink? If so, I guess I’d better get busy and fulfill her holiday dream.
Jake
Oh my God, I never thought I’d have something for Judge Jodi until I got an email from my Aunt yesterday. You see our family gets together every year at my Aunt’s in Tacoma for Thanksgiving. This year she notified us that she was going to defray some of her food expenses by charging us $30 a head. Holy drumsticks, that is RIDICULOUS. If she wants us to bring a dish, sure, I’d be happy to. But to pay her cash?? She is ruining Thanksgiving for the family!
Joclyn
Is this the most sexist thing you’ve ever heard Judge Jodi? My boyfriend of 2 years says he won’t marry me unless I take cooking classes. He is literally forcing me to learn to cook. I actually don’t like the kitchen unless it’s to heat up take out. And why isn’t that cooking – it’s taking food and preparing it to serve. I really wonder if I should bow to this demand. What do you think Jodi?
Val
Can you please have Judge Jodi tell me whether this is something I am rightfully angry about. My neighbor and I each have 8 year-old daughters. My neighbor is a nurse and works weird hours, so this year on the first day of school I offered to drive her daughter along with mine to school. Since then I’ve done it every day. In fact, it’s now part of everyone’s morning routine. The other day I casually asked my neighbor if she didn’t want to pitch in for gas money, she said, why? You have to go to school anyhow. That seemed rude to me. I don’t know what to do. Can you intervene?
Hey gang - my mother is 82 years old, but don't let her age fool you. She's been an active dating single senior since my dad passed 12 years ago and she's very vivacious. Recently, she became involved with a much younger man named Peter, who seems like a nice enough guy. I had to really open my mind and heart to her dating such a young guy - did I mention he's only 31? Yeah, I know. But she's really into her new relationship so I wouldn't stand in her way. The other day she told me that he had her call her lawyer to rewrite her will. Now, he's messing with the wrong family. I have to get rid of this guy now, right?
OK, put this in your Judge Jodi file of freakiness and chew on it. My husband wants to put a GPS tracker app on my cell phone. I say drop dead. He says, he’s doing it in case I do drop dead. Seriously, he says he’s doing it to keep me safe. But I’m more than a little creeeped out by this. Shouldn’t I be?
Karla
Ever since she was a small child we’ve paid for dance lessons for our girl. Only to find out that now that she’s grown she has signed up for a pole-dancing class. She uses some ridiculous excuse that it’s good exercise. But to her father and me she’s prepping to be a stripper. What a disappointment. Of course, she doesn’t listen to me. Please prevent our girl from becoming a slut.
Dianne
Hey Judge Jodi, I would request you hand down a ruling against my neighbor who last week threw a Halloween Party in our cul de sac. We’ve got a pretty tight knit community and I raced home from work to take part in the festivities. But I got stuck in traffic and instead of going home to get my costume I decided to just go straight to the party. Not a big deal, or so you’d think. When my neighbor saw that I wasn’t wearing a costume she asked me to leave??! I couldn’t believe it, but she literally pushed me out the door. Bad form. She sucks. Right Judge Jodi?
Chris
Oh God, I’ve heard Judge Jodi try and stop people from doing something dumb, well, she needs to step in with my sister. Last year she read an article of a woman in England who had decided to stop looking for the perfect mate and decided to marry herself. She has had such a tough time settling on a guy – I think she’s way to picky, but whatever – she has decided to throw a big wedding for hers to marry herself. I’m really worried about her. She will be the laughing stock of our family and friends, but she won’t listen to me. Maybe you can say something?
Christine
Well, it must be cold and flu season because both my hubby and I are sick with nasty colds. But here’s the conflict that Judge Jodi should get to fixing. When I am sick, I still handle all my household tasks. I pack lunches for the kids, get them off to school, cook dinner, clean the house … it just doesn’t stop. But what does he do? He just curls up in bed and moans … and even has the audacity to ask me for special favors to make hom feel better. How can it be so lopsided?
Kelli
OK guys - this is wild. I am in my late thirties and my whole life I have hated my breasts. They're a 38G. That's a lot. They've contributed to back problems, and I can never find shirts or sports bras to fit and I hate them. I've been toying around with the idea of reduction surgery, and my insurance will even cover a lot of it, but there's an obstacle. My husband, Tom. He's actually angry at me and is trying to make me feel like I'm burning his blankie. This is my body. I feel like he's being a moron.
Hey Judge Jodi, As you are a woman I wonder if you could explain something to a dumb man like me. For years my wife and I have been taking an annual excursion to Cannon Beach, and every year she invites her sister and brother-in-law. This year I wanted to just go alone … just me and her … a romantic weekend. She should love that, right? But she refuses. Why? What’s up? I don’t understand.
Geoff
Maybe Judge Jodi can talk to my wife about bringing back a sensible Halloween. My wife likes Halloween a little too much and pushes our kids to wear these elaborate costumes and works them on the street to get free candy so much so that the kids dread the holiday. It’s supposed to be fun I tell her, and for her this is fun. Go ahead, talk to her, you’ll see what I mean. It’s too much.
Phil
I think I have to sue my ex boyfriend. Mark and I had been together for 2 years, and just signed a new lease on our apartment. We began a discussion about our previous relationships and how many people we'd been with. I told him my honest number and he left the apartment and NEVER CAME BACK. We broke up, and he moved out. If he's going to shame me, he at least needs to pay for his half of the rent RIGHT??
My boyfriend is such a jerk. Please confirm this for me on the radio Judge Jodi. I’ve been unemployed for 6 months and last week had a cool job interview lined up. As I was getting ready for it at home, my boyfriend who has a horrible sense of humor and timing, decided to hassle me by turning the lights on and off, tickling me, hiding my car keys. He wouldn’t let up, even though I told him I was in no mood. You know what happened? I showed up late to the interview and didn’t get the job. And all he can say is, I was joking! What a jerk.

My 14 year old daughter Kelsey is on a soccer team with a lot of her friends - she plays goalie and in their last game a goal was scored on her in the last 2 minutes and they lost. It happens.
Well, we all know that soccer is a team sport, BUT one of the mothers of her teammates was all over social media saying that it was ALL KELSEY'S FAULT that they lost and calling her useless and other terrible things. I feel like pulling her head off. Kelsey has seen this and now wants to quit the team and is depressed. What do I do?
Terry
Hey Judge Jodi, I don’t mean to come off as a whiner, but money in our household has been extremely tight this past year. So it doesn’t help when my wife tells me that she wants an upgrade to her wedding ring. She claims that she has suffered enough (her words) with the cheap-o ring (again, her words) I bought her when we got married 10 years ago. I love her, but the last thing we can afford right now is this sort of unnecessary expense. Can Judge Jodi please please please save me and save my marriage?
Trey
Hey Gang, I love your show. And I was wondering if you could do a shoutout for me because I’m getting married in November. I’m 27 and it’s my first wedding and I am so excited. But my fiancé is being a bit of a fuddy-duddy. He doesn’t want to go on a honeymoon because he’s been married before and he says it’s not all that exciting. But this is important to me. How do I convince him?
Lysette
I know you’ve had some whack-a-moles on with Judge Jodi, but how about you invite my friend Fiona on your show. She is under the impression that she is having a year-long Facebook messenger relationship with Chris Martin from Coldplay. She swear it’s him, I tell her to wake up. Last week she told me that she wants to fly to Argentina to meet with him at a Coldplay show in November. I can’t let this happen … help me stop this absurdity.
Cristina
Please oh please Judge Jodi help a worried old lady out. Our 27 year-old son has been on my husband’s health insurance policy until this year. Alas it is time for us to kick him out of the nest. He has notified us in no uncertain terms that he is not going to be purchasing health insurance because he thinks he doesn’t need it. We’ve tried to raise him as a responsible young man and told him that no one ever thinks they need insurance, its there just in case but we cant get thru to him. Can Judge Jodi try and use her influence on him?
Paula
My husband and I fought for months because he thought it would be a good idea to rent the two extra rooms in our recently emptied nest on one of those websites for travelers. I said no. I said I didn't want strangers in my house. I said it made me uncomfortable and I didn't think we needed the money that badly. Then, wouldn't you know it? -- I return home from a two week visit with my sister in Atlanta, and there are 3 strangers in my house. I haven't been this mad in my whole life, and he doesn't care.
Alice
You do so much good work with your Judge Jodi segment, I was hoping you would be so kind as to help me. I work for a medium sized investment firm and every Friday for as long as I’ve worked here, the company has celebrated that week's birthdays with a cake and a little party. Well I had a birthday last week and was very much looking forward to being recognized by my coworkers … but Friday came and went with nothing. Not so much as a solo cupcake. Should I be upset about this? What can I do about it?
Lydia
I’ve been dating this guy for the last 6 months, and while things have been going gangbusters, I’ve become a bit suspicious. Nick – that’s his name – seems to have a lot of money, based on his car, his condo, his vacations … but I can’t quite figure out where the money comes from. When I ask him he acts all skeevy. Can Judge Jodi investigate. Maybe he’ll tell her.
Jessica
I am BEYOND mad right now - for the last three years my husband and I have owned a small cafe in downtown Tacoma. We've struggled against some early bad reviews and made a lot of headway and then wouldn't you know it? I discovered that one of my harshest critics on Yelp is my supposed friend for the last 20 years. I can't believe it! I know she likes to fancy herself a pro reviewer but at MY EXPENSE?? With friends like these - who needs enemies?
Laura
Dear Judge Jodi,
I would like you to take my husband to the wood shed for something he did that is totally inappropriate. While walking thru the mall last weekend I saw him looking at another woman's rump. We have been married for 6 years and I fear that this is the start of the 7 year itch. First the eyes wander, then the hands. I scolded him for it, and he claimed he didn't do it. But I saw what I saw, and it was in unacceptable.
Trish
Not sure if this will make sense to you because it doesn't to me, but my girlfriend broke up with me because I hate sushi. That's right - we'd been together for about four months and she said it's over because she needs to find someone with whom she shares interests, specifically in eating sushi. I always went with her to Japanese restaurants and would just order tempura - I don't know how this is such a big deal. She was so great and I want her back.
Richard
Hi there -- this is a red flag issue. I've been dating this great guy for 6 months, and he's been amazing. Truly a gentleman, successful, and handsome. One wild thing has been happening lately that is a concern. Almost every time we've made love he cries. That's right. Tears, and he full on takes five minutes to compose himself. I'm not sure if this is will continue, but I hate it. It feels like a stupid unbelievable movie but it's my actual life. Do I cut and run?
Dena
Chew on this for me Judge Jodi. One of my closest friends is getting married and sent out wedding invitations that at the bottom say “Please no breast feeding at the reception.” I actually have been helping her plan her wedding and so she did that while I wasn’t looking. But here’s the crazy part, as far as I know I am the only one of the invited guests who has a newborn. Why would she do this? Why would she put that on the invite? I feel like not going now, or am I being petty?
Rachael
Hey Judge Jodi,
I would love to hear your thoughts on kids sleeping in the bed with their parents. My husband lets are two boys into the bed whenever they have a scary night, or whenever they ask really. It bugs the crap out of me. Look I am with them a lot of the day, but the nights, my sleep is for me. Please tell him he's stupid, and to stop acting stupid. So stupid.
Traci
Don’t hammer on my boyfriend too much, because I do love him for so many other reasons. But one thing about him annoys me. He’s got this stupid standing policy where he refuses to tip restaurant wait staff. It’s led to many embarrassing encounters with waiters asking what they did wrong. But he won’t budge. Can Judge Jodi maybe shame him into doing the right thing?
Vivian
Hey Gang,
My wife and I have been looking for our first house and after a looong frustrating search I finally found the one. It’s in Marty’s old hometown of Auburn. My wife says absolutely not. She has some weird outdated stereotype of Auburn. Please, I want this house! Can you convince her that Auburn is a lovely town?
Leo
You guys. My brother, Marc, is KILLING ME. Three months ago he went to London on a dream vacation for 3 weeks. He stayed in a flat downtown and saw all the sights. Unfortunately, he has changed. Now, he's started talking with some stupid British accent and won't stop talking about how the architecture and culture is sooo much better in Europe. He's still drinking tea all day and referring to french fries and chips. It's annoying everyone. You'd think the guy was over there for 5 years or something. How long do we have to put up with this?
Kyle
Hey I was listening to your show yesterday and the discussion about the kiss Nicole Kidman got from one of her co-stars during the Emmys. You know, they kissed on the mouth and Marty was all prudish about that. Well, I have something that’s much worse. I swear, whenever we’re over at my sister’s house my brother-in-law greets me by trying to French kiss me. I don’t know what to do, besides slam my jaw closed. He seems so nonchalant, you’d think he does this with everyone. Have you ever heard of something like this?
Nicolette
My wife has lost her mind. She’s always been really picky about who she’ll get in a car with, because she doesn’t trust anyone else’s driving. But it seems lately this paranoia has only gotten worse. We need to go on vacation in mid-October and she has refused all options for getting to the airport – friends, cab, uber … I’m surprised she’ll even let someone else pilot the plane she is such a control freak. Please fix this Judge Jodi.
Keith
I am NOT a jealous guy but I have a legit problem. There's a group of 4 couples and their kids in my neighborhood who all hang out together and they're good people. Or so I thought. Last night I picked up my wife's phone and saw a text come in from one of the other men, Brian. He told her "See you tonight", which didn't make sense because the gang wasn't getting together until Saturday. When I confronted Corrie, she said "Oh, he must've meant See You Saturday" but that sounds fishy. Why the hell would he be texting her anyway? I smell a foul. What you guys think?

I probably should have complained to Judge Jodi about this earlier, but I had somehow convinced myself that it is okay … but it’s not, is it? Let me explain. My wife and I live in a small apartment and because she sees clients in our place during business hours she refuses to let me use our restroom to do #2 anytime in the morning before work. She says I should go to the gym, or do it at the office. We’ve had this arrangement for a while and I’ve grown used to it, but the other day she literally shoved me out of the house at the most inopportune moment. This is crazy, right?
Nate
I am married to a lovely guy in his mid-30’s who refuses to accept that he is going bald … No wait, let’s past tense that … he has done GONE bald. He’s got the three long threads of hair crossing his scalp – ala Homer Simpson. I’ve tried to tell him in subtle ways, just to let ‘em go. He’s a good looking guy, he doesn’t need the crutch, and besides, he’s not fooling anyone. But nope, he insists on sticking with those lonely locks. Can Judge Jodi work her persuasive powers on him maybe?
Christina
I hope this doesn't make me sound like some crazy hippy, but I NEVER use pesticide on my lawn - instead I choose a vinegar and soap water mixture which works just fine and most importantly is MUCH SAFER. Safer for my two kids who play outside and my cat and dog who use the yard as well. Now, my neighbor Bob has been using a certain extremely dangerous pesticide laden weed killer ALL OVER his lawn all year, despite my pleas for my family's safety. Maybe you can help him understand he's killing the Earth AND MY KIDS to try and save his stupid lawn.
Gawd, I am so mad. The other day I went to the gym to do some time on the elliptical. When I got to the front desk to check in, they told me my membership had been canceled. I went home and asked my husband what was up, since he pays the bills, and he told me he had canceled my membership because I don’t use it enough, he said it should be a minimum of 3 times a week. Who is he to tell me how often I should go to the gym? Like most people, I have missed a few weeks here and there, but this is crap. My husband needs to be set straight by Judge Jodi.
Vanessa
Hey guys - this should be an exciting time in my life but I am very upset. See, my wife, Erin, and I are expecting our first child - a BOY! - in November. She wants to name him after her father, a man I don't really get along with. And on top of the fact that we don't really like each other, his name is Chester. I don't want to name my son Chester! He'll get bullied so hard. Additionally, no middle names in her family, so it's not like I could just go with a normal middle name, like Kevin or John and call him that. My wife feels like this is her decision alone - she's calling it a dealbreaker. Help!
Gary
Hey Gang,
I am 17 years-old and listen to your radio show every morning. I love it. I’d love it if Judge Jodi could help me get through to my mom. I am starting my senior year this year, and kill me already, but my mom insists on driving me to school everyday. Every single day. Just the same way she has since I was in kindergarten. I’ve tried to talk to her an=bout it and she either freaks out about all the hazards in the world, or she gets all mopey like I don’t love her anymore. Can you explain it to her?
Jillian
Maybe Judge Jodi can explain this b.s. to me. One of my friends got married two weeks ago, and while I had RSVPed that I would be there, because of a family matter, I had to miss the event. Yesterday she sends me a terse email with an attached bill for $75 for the cost of my reception dinner. She really thinks I should pay. Look, I’m sorry I missed her special day, but I’m not going to pay a fine for it. Ridiculous, right?
Mandy
My brother is so p.o.ed at me, and I wonder if Judge Jodi wouldn’t take a moment to call him an idiot on the air.
Here’s his problem. His 24-year-old daughter who graduated from WSU last spring is having a tough time getting her career started. He thinks she’s being too picky and should take whatever job falls into her lap. To make his point, he’s cut her off financially.
She’s a good kid and now completely freaked out that she won’t be ablt o make rent, pay her health insurance … you know, the stuff responsible people worry about it. To do her a favor, I offered to cover her expenses until she figures things out.
Oh boy, when my brother found out I’d done that, he called me up and FLIPPED OUT. Told me to mind my own business, not interfere with his parenting .. and on and on.
Screw him, right, Judge Jodi?
Tyler
Hey Guys, I listen to your show every morning and feel I want to contribute to your Judge Jodi segment. I have a very successful sister who’s 5 years older than me. I have lived my whole life getting hand-me-downs from her. When we were kids, my parents would make me wear her used stuff. And as we’ve gotten older, she has continued that tradition. Now, as an adult I have to say, I actually like it. She’s got good taste and a lot of money. Here’s what bugs me. She always waits too long to makle the handoff. Why give me UGG boots 2 years after they’ve gone out of style? It’s an almost like she’s doing it on purpose so that she’ll always look better than me. Should I say something to her?

I REALLY need Judge Jodi’s help with a sensitive family matter. Our 16 year-old daughter has always been daddy’s little girl. But in the last couple years she’s become a typical teenager, and has little time for any of us. My husband is obviously heartbroken. But what he did to cope with it has left me stunned. I found out last week that he goes into her room during the day and reads her journals as a way to stay close. I told him that’s a terrible invasion of privacy, but he feels as long as she doesn’t know, no harm, no foul. Please tell me what I should do?

Hey all - we have an issue at my house. My parents are quite well off so they offered to pay for the sizable tuition of our son's private school as he goes into first grade. Without them, we NEVER could've afforded it. The problem is, my father is threatening to pull the plug on the operation if we don't cut my son's hair. Dad says Brady looks like a girl. Yes, my son has long hair but he loves it. As do the rest of us. The main issue is, shouldn't my son's opinion matter the most? My father won't budge and we're close to the start of school. Help.

My wife has lost her mind. She told me last month that she was planning to home school our son this year because she was sick and tired of him being exposed to lice from all his classmates. Mind you, I work all day, so I may miss some of the drama, but I asked her, how often has he had lice? She said twice last year, She thinks it’s disgusting and home schooling is the only answer. Hey, if she wants to devote her days to our kid, that’s her business, but this seems like the worst reason to make that choice, right? Can I get a what what or whatever the kids are saying?

So after a rash of property break-ins in my neighborhood, I decided to protect my house with a series of cameras. Unfortunately, my insane neighbor thinks I'm spying on her house. Ridiculous. Three times she came over, banged on my door, and threatened to call the cops on me even though I tell her my cameras have nothing to do with her. She even reported me as a perv to our other neighbor. I obviously need an intervention. I should mention, in case you guys talk to her, that my side door camera view DOES show her house but that's totally incidental.

So, I am not a superficial person but I have a cosmetic issue with my new girlfriend. Let me start by saying that I was so excited to have met Kristy online - she is so beautiful, smart and interesting. We went on 4 dates and I became enamored. But I'm a gentleman, so I only went after a kiss on the cheek until this past weekend. We became intimate, for the first and maybe the last time. She has a flaw. A major flaw. Stretch marks all over her body - and they're insane. And they're everywhere, and I'm totally thrown. I became nervous and had a hard time touching her. Is this going to be this way forever? Crap.

I’ve been dating this new gal named Stephanie and last Friday I apparently ticked her off, and I don’t get it. I had invited her to the Seahawks game and we decided to take the bus from Tacoma. We weren’t the only ones as the bus was packed, standing room only. At one point I got up to offer my seat to a lady who was standing in the aisle, because that’s the kind of guy I am. When we got to Seattle, Stephanie was acting annoyed. I asked her what was wrong, and she told me that it was just sad that I had given up my seat to a woman, implying that women weren’t strong enough to stand on their own. Really? I’m taking heat for being polite? Explain to me what I did wrong Judge Jodi … or better yet, set this woman straight

OK, figure this one out for me Judge Jodi. My husband said he wanted to head down to Oregon this last weekend for the eclipse. I’m an E-R nurse and I couldn’t get the time off, so I told him to go ahead and go without me. Enjoy it, send pictures.
Well, yesterday morning I happened to be online checking something on our credit card account and I saw a charge for a motel in Whitefish Montana. Did my husband not go to the eclipse?! Last night when he came home I asked him how it was and he was so vague, I swear he’s lying to me.
Maybe Judge Jodi can call him today and see what really is going on. I’d appreciate knowing the truth.

So, I can't get over how mad I am at my best friend. About 3 years ago, my best friend, Paul, was out of work and down on his luck so I gave him some cash. Tweny five hundred dollars to be exact, which was a lot for me and still is. Fast forward three years later and this guy hasn't paid me back at all, and he just turned up last week with a new Dodge Charger. Um....how does someone have the nerve to buy a new car before they pay back their debts? I'm not rich - I can't even believe this guy.

When my husband Matt and I got married four years ago we entered into a verbal contract. We wanted to make sure that over time we stayed in synch as a couple.
Our agreed upon list included:
We would never have a TV in our bedroom
We would never live in Puyallup (pronounced Pew’-al-up)
And we would never want kids
I am here to tell Judge Jodi that my husband is violating one of the terms of our agreement and I am really upset about it. Can you help me enforce the terms?
Debbie
Help me understand if I'm being too shallow. I've been seeing my boyfriend for bout 7 months and the other day something terrible happened. Peter was in the bathroom and I walked in by mistake and found him SITTING, ON THE TOILET, GOING NUMBER ONE. Now, I'd be fine with this if he had sort of injury, or was extra old or something. But he's fit and young and I'm kind of grossed out. Do men sit down to pee now? Is this a thing?

My brother got divorced 2 years ago. It was a nasty breakup, but then again the marriage wasn’t that great either. Still, he was a wreck and our family was there for him day and night. By the end of last year he finally seemed to be recovering, and we’d actually catch him smiling or laughing from time to time. Then we discovered what was up. He was back together with his ex, and over the 4th of July holiday he notified us they were going to remarry. I can’t overstate how bad an idea this is. They are not good for each other, and all the hard work of the past two years now seems wasted. Can Judge Jodi please intervene?

The oddest thing took place over the weekend - we had a family reunion of sorts at my sister's house since she offered to host in their beautiful yard. There were 30 people there, including a handful of kids and my sister, Leah, wouldn't let ANYONE inside the house - not even to use the restroom. Instead, she had a honey bucket outside. Now, I'm no snob, but a honey bucket for your family is unacceptably callous. I asked her why no one was allowed in and she said she didn't want anyone to let the cat out - she doesn't even HAVE A CAT! This is your family!
What's the deal

I CAN'T TAKE IT! My husband of 20 years has taken 6 months of sabbatical time to write his autobiography. No, he's not an author. No, he hasn't had a particularly interesting life. What's worse is that he plans on self-publishing it on Amazon and that will cost money. Thousands. I'm not sure why he feels the need to do this but we're almost 3 weeks in and I can't take it. Why? Can you guys talk to him and get some intel?
Angela
My boyfirend and I have been together for 3 years and all signs were pointing to engagement soon - UNTIL the craziest thing happened this past week. Mike's parents were in from Idaho for the week and his mother and father cornered me and literally offered money for me to break up with Mike. $15,000. They told me it wasn't personal but they have someone else in mind for him. What is this? I can't believe it! Should I tell Mike, do I take the money, can anyone even BELIEVE this??? If I don't leave Mike will they hate me forever? HELP!!!

I have a good friend that I don't see very often but we keep in touch on Facebook. She's been unemployed for six months and based on her posts and what she tells me, she can't find a job. She's going on interviews, she gets close and then in the end something always happens. Maybe Judge Jodi should investigate .. what is REALLY the problem here? You've got a good gig there, maybe you could even offer her some job seeking tips.

We have an issue and need someone to call this for us -- 7 of us are throwing my dear friend a bridal shower. We all chipped in and rented an awesome villa in Vegas for a weekend next month. We were all really excited, until one of the girls, Lindsay's cousin I don't know that well, informed us....didn't ask....informed us that she'd be bringing her two kids with her. She also sent us a list of kid friendly activities near the strip that we could all do. IS THIS BITCH CRAZY???? The rest of us have made other plans for our kids for the weekend. IT'S VEGAS!!!! This is not cool of her. Right?
Unbelievable - my neighbors directly to the left are among the minority of people in the Seattle area who have an inground pool. My wife and I and our 3 kids were hoping that they would invite us over to go swimming in this heat spell, but they didn't. It was odd, because we have a good neighborly relationship. We went so far as to invite ourselves, bashfully, and they declined. It's been bothering me for 3 days now - these two are in their sixties, and they NEVER use this pool, and we are offended. He's out there right now with the skimmer and I'm sweating. Thoughts?
Douglas
Ok guys, I need your sleuthing. I met the greatest guy on a dating app 2 months ago. We went out about 7 times - baseball game, picnic, dinner, brunch - it's been a dream and I really like Tyler. But he doesn't like me anymore apparently. For the last week and a half he won't respond to my texts, won't answer my calls, nothing. It's weird, because everything was going really well and I was getting high hopes for the future. And I'm not that kind of girl but he's great! Help me figure out why he's ghosting me please!
Chelsea
Hey my favorite morning show - need an assist. My best friend just became a first time mother 13 days ago, and we're psyched for her. Until three days ago, when she asked the girls to go clubbing with her. So, she has a ten day old baby and she wants to go dancing? What the heck?
I'm surprised and I think that's really bad parenting. Stay at home with your kid! Right?! Can you call her and talk some sense into her? Her name is Ashley. Thanks
Talia
I need help with something and I'd prefer not to talk about this on the air. I life in a condo complex in Bothell with paper thin walls. One of my neighbors makes love so loudly and so often, I am losing my mind. And my son is starting to ask questions. I began by saying that they must be doing work on her place, but that excuse is wearing out. I want to confront her, but how? How would you touch on something so personal with someone you don't know that well? Help please.
Olivia
Oh I am so sad, because we've turned into one of "those"families and it's all my husband's fault. He is on his cell phone so much, texting, surfing, checking updates that it is really disrupting our time together as a family. When we started a family he and I both agreed that it was important to eat dinner together every night. Well, we still do, but whatever good it might do because he's on his phone the whole time. I tell him to knock it off and he just looks up and the. Right back to the phone. What can I do?
DENISE
Hello dear Jodi .. I love you, love listening to you .. and now I need your counsel. I've been married for 10 years and my husband and I no longer kiss. I know it sounds trivial but I miss it and need it. I want to make out. Even writing about it gets me horny. But my husband for whatever reason refuses me. Why? Isn't kissing fun?
Violet
Hey Judge crew - chew on this...my coworkers all despise our team meetings, and there's a good reason why. One of us, out of about 20 people, takes up the entire meeting with his own big mouth. Either he's asking a question about the presentation that will probably be answered by the next slide, or he's worrying about his own bottom line. Either way, he's obnoxious and self serving and completely oblivious to how rude he's being. We have to sit in these meetings evey other day, and they would only go for about 20 minutes if he weren't there. Instead, they always last about an hour. No one knows what to do - can you get him to shut up??
Thanks
Brad and the entire office in Suite 412
Hey guys - love the show. I live outside Granite Falls and I just lost my job. Hear this: I'm 17, and I've been babysitting two boys, Jake and Devin, regularly for the past 4 years. Two days ago, their mother, Brenda, told me that Jake is 14 now and he has developed a crush on me and now I can't work with them anymore. I am angry - it's not like I did anything wrong, and in my town there's nowhere else for me to find work. What should I do?
Tracy
Love your show and could use you advice. I've been dating a guy for 4 months and it's been going gangbusters. But the other day I was at his apartment helping him pack up his stuff for a move and I notice he's got a drawer full of women's panties in his dresser. I asked him about it, and he casually told me that it was a collection of underwear from every woman he's been with. I was so weirded out I had to leave, but now I wonder if I'm making too big a deal out of this. What would you do?
Desiree
This is a disappointing letter to write but maybe you guys can help - our son Blake is a sophomore at community college and his father and I are paying for it. Our deal was, he has to go, do well, and attend classes and we would agree to pay his whole way. Now, he's threatening to drop out. Blake says he doesn't need it and isn't interested in learning anything new. My husband and I agree that he has A LOT of learning to do and that he's too immature to know his future plan yet. Maybe you can intervene? I know you are both scholars, and can maybe appeal to his youthful nonsense
I am not that social media savvy, but I know what's what. And that's why I'm more than a little ticked off that my wife is all friendly on Facebook with her high school boyfriend. He always likes her posts, they're all giggly with each other. It kind of sickens me and I think she should unfriend him. Again, I'm not on Facebook that much so i probably miss a lot of their antics, but it's not cool. I know you usually side with the women on Judge Jodi, but this time you gotta see my point.

I live in in South Park on a dream street - a great bunch of neighbors who all love and care for their property. Except one guy who happens to live directly to my right. He has two cars, one is a monster truck looking behemoth and he insists on always parking them right on his front lawn. There's lots of room on the street and he even has a carport in his backyard but nope - not for him. Everyday, there they are on the lawn. All the neighbors agree it's an eyesore but what can we do?
Lexi
I was born and raised in Kent, and I still live here about a block away from parents so that I can assist them. This has been my life for the past 11 years. My younger sister moved to California an is living an exciting life in LA and I am full of jealousy. I think it's time to switch and have Jordan come back home for awhile -- how is that fair? There are two of us and I think I should be able to sow my wild oats too. Agree? Of course?
Michelle
This is a weird situation. My lifelong friend, Chuck, turned 30 last month and since he's recently divorced, and kind of shy, the boys and I decided to crowdfund him some company. She was NOT CHEAP, and we all thought Chuck would be super excited but instead, the next day he told us all that he just sat and played XBOX with her. Dude. We spent a lot on that date for him, and he wasted it. We're all pissed off. If someone bought you a steak, and you threw it in the garbage, would that be ok?
Dave
You're going to flip out when I tell you this - I am in outside sales with a medical company and I've been one of the top sellers in my office for the last three years. Recently our company overhauled management and my new boss, a seemingly nice woman who describes herself as a team player, asked me to lose ten pounds to spur more sales. You heard that right. Ten pounds. Is that even legal for her to suggest? It certainly doesn't feel too good. If my company had an HR department I'd go there but we don't. Help?
Judith
I was on vacation last week and we invited my brother and his girlfriend to our house to houses it. When I cam back I watched our surveillance tapes and found that my brother had made love in our hot tub. Super gross! I've asked him to promise to never do that again, and now he's a p.o.ed. He's angry? Give me a break. I have to go out and scrub the tub now.
Paul
I need Judge Jodi's advice. I have gone out on two dates with one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Lucky me. But there's a catch. The dates are miserable. Our conversation is awkward, she complains about the things I do. Both times at the end I thought, well time to move on, but then she says she had a great time. What the hell?! Am I being dense? Should I even try asking her out again?
Brandon
Houston we have a problem - we are gearing up to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday, a really exciting event for the family. Well, my husband Paul wants his garage band to play at the party and unfortunately that's no what I had in mind. I'd like to play music, but my sister doesn't even like Paul's band. I need this to be a perfect celebration for Diane, but I don't want to hurt his feelings...can you break this to him? Thank you!
Ellie
Hey gang - I work very long days as a framer and my wife, Renee, works part time at a bank and takes care of our 3 kids in the afternoon. Lately she's been complaining that she needs help with housework, and wants to hire a cleaning service. I am in no way supportive of that - I don't spend my days framing, hurting my body, to bring money home for her just to give it all away. She can do it - she has time. My mama used to say if you have time to lean, you have time to clean. Renee seems to think she needs help - GIMME A BREAK

My wife and I have been saving for 5 years to afford our first house in South Seattle and FINALLY the perfect one came up. It has a screened in porch for me, the bathroom and yard she wanted, everything is perfect AND it's in our price range. I want to pull the trigger on it, but Sylvia says no because it's across from a cemetery. Yes, I understand that she's spiritual and she feels it would be weird living there but CMON, in this real estate climate this house will never come around again. GET OVER IT!

My fiancee and I are in a tustle -- we're planning a 2018 wedding and she wants a THEME wedding for our nearly 200 guests. Yeah. It's a thing now, so I'm told. The theme is Great Gatsby, so think flapper dressers and fancy zoot suits. No thanks - I'm pretty traditional and I don't think we need to put our guests in the position to have to play along with her pinterest whims. But she is adamant. My family is mad my friends are mad......Do I have to start out my married life in agony?
Gil
Oh, lord. My husband took my two sons, Riley who's 7, and Lucas, who's 5, to the local pool club. When they came back, they slipped up and told me gleefully that Daddy told them it was ok to pee in the pool! When I confronted my husband he brushed me off, saying all young boys can do that and I was being ridiculous and naive. Am i naive or is he a pig? Discuss.
Jennifer
Tell me this isn' the worst -- my roommate and I, along with a bunch of our girlfriends, went down to Galveston for spring break in March. We had a blast, and my roommate met a guy on the first night and hooked up with him the whole time. I thought that would be it, but he actually came back to Seattle with us! AND HE'S BEEN IN MY TINY 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT SINCE THEN WITH NO END IN SIGHT. I'm sorry, but I never agreed to have a third roommate but she's so blinded by the fact that someone is into her. He has to go. Make Kristin kick him back to Texas please.

So, here's my deal. My husband is off on a week long business trip to China next week, and I have been looking forward to having the house all to myself. The peace. Love it! But yesterday I got a call from my mother in law that she is planning on coming to town to stay with me that week. She didn't ASK, she just assumed that I would love the company. Well, I wouldn't. I think my husband is glad to have someone here watching out for me. Am I wrong to block the visit?

My sister has just proposed an obnoxious idea for the 4 th of July weekend. She's inviting family and friends to their rustic little cabin in Cle Elum for, as she calls it, and "old fashioned barn raising." They want a barn built and we are supposed to come there with our work clothes on and build it for them. All 4 days. She and her husband definitely have the money to hire contractors, but she thinks this will be fun. She provides the materials and a field where we can pitch a tent. She's even asking that we bring a dish for a pot luck at the end. Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy selfish?
Justine
I went out on a first date last week with a really handsome guy. I mean, humma humma handsome. In the middle of our dinner he asked if he could make a call. And he proceeded to call his mom. Not really anything urgent, just checking in. I thought it weird, but let it go. At the end of our date, as he was walking to his car, I heard him AGAIN make a call to his mom and chat with her. Is two calls to mom on the night of a first date? Or should I just forge ahead .. because, did I mention he's hot?
Over the holiday weekend, my son and new girlfriend (4 months dating) came for a visit and I was uncomfortable the entire time. See, I'm not a prude, but their constant, aggressive PDA wore me down. From the morning to the night they wouldn't separate at all, even with my husband and I hedging that it was bothering us. Is this a millennial thing? I'm not willing to do this again but if they stay together I'm not missing Thanksgiving.
Help - Nancy
A few months ago I started seeing this guy, and I thought we really had a future together .. until we got intimate and he told me he'd had a vasectomy. That alone threw me, because I'm young and fancy myself wanting a family one day. But the reason he gave for getting clipped was that it gave him more freedom to "play the field" and not risk getting anyone pregnant. Should I be freaked out by this admission?
Tanya
Help! My husband and his stupid band have been plotting a 7 month tour for awhile now, and I was fine with him going but guess what -- I'm pregnant now. It's our first child. Obviously I say he can't go anymore but he doesn't agree. Look, I'm a reasonable person but this band is NEVER gonna make it and I refuse to be some all by myself preggo lady with no help. He and I can't come to terms with this.
Explain it to him please.
Taryn
