Looking at the area of disappointment, Dan walked through a few big questions that we tend to ask ourselves during the hard times eg. Did God not answer me because I lacked faith? How do I actually pray for someone? What is God's will? and several more. A thought provoking message that aims to show you just how close God is to you during the difficulties of life.
Pastor Dan Cronin from Heart Church Morecambe joined us for week 6 of 'Welcome to The Hard Times' sharing some lessons that God has taught him through some of the difficulties of life. Week 5 of 'Welcome to The Hard Times' and we looked at Lament - what is it? Is it a lack of faith? Is is not just complaining? If we want to have a faith in Jesus that thrives no matter the circumstance, 'lament' is a critical tool that we need to learn how to use. A challenging and encouraging message for those going through something difficult.
Addressing the age old tension of 'how can God be 'good' and allow pain and suffering'?. This was the fourth week of 'WELCOME TO THE HARD TIMES' and Dan walked through how the bible has everything we need in order to address the tension that we sometimes hold regarding pain and suffering. An encouraging message fro those journeying disappointment!
Continuing on in our series 'Welcome to The Hard Times', Dan Belshaw looked at trials and tests. Rooted in the story of Daniel, from Daniel ch1, we were challenged to face our tests with conviction & boldness, trusting that God will always deliver on what He has promised. Are you ready to study up?
Dan Belshaw took us into week two of 'Welcome to The Hard Times' looking at Paul's letter to the Corinthians and his encouragement to be RESILIENT. God will use the hard times to make us resilient - don't run from them! A great encouragement to those going through difficult times.

Dan Belshaw took us into week three of "PAYING ATTENTION", looking at Jesus' words to His disciples in Matthew 25. Jesus used a parable to explain His return to Earth and to encourage His disciples to live "at attention" - a life of readiness and preparation.
Paul Holmes brought the second instalment of our series 'PAYING ATTENTION' looking at the importance of spiritual disciplines in the midst of our modern & busy lives. A challenging yet encouraging message!
Kicking off a new series, PAYING ATTENTION, Dan Belshaw looked at what economists call 'The Attention Economy' and how we live in a world that is always vying for our attention. Rooted in Hebrews 12 and Philippians 4, Dan asked "how different would our lives look if we saw our attention as our most valuable commodity?". A great challenge in our journeys of faith in Jesus.
Easter Sunday is such a special day in the christian calendar and we loved celebrating the resurrection of Jesus together. Dan Belshaw looked at the resurrection account in Luke 24, where Peter encountered the empty grave and "marvelled ". The resurrection of Jesus gives us the opportunity to live a life of wonder. Happy Easter!
The final week of Lent ended on Palm Sunday, the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem as the King. Dan Belshaw looked at Luke 19 and addressed some of the expectations of the day and allowed them to confront our expectations today. Is He the Jesus you expected?
Carrying on our series in Lent, Dan Belshaw looks at Luke 22 and the story of Judas' plans to betray Jesus. A challenging message all about the plans of God.
Hols Belshaw, speaking from Luke 15, looked at the parable of the lost coin and talked about how God values His creation so much, that he did everything to make a way for us to be found. A simple and powerful reminder of how God values each and every one of us.
Looking for God? One of the best ways to find God is to let go and fall into Him. How do we do that!? Jesus teaches, in Luke 19, using a parable about a Pharisee and a tax collector. Dan looked at three things that we find int he 'letting go' of ourselves.
Based in Luke 14 where Jesus addresses the crowds, Dan Belshaw looks at what we do with Jesus' words that we must "hate" others if we want to follow Him!?? And Dan looks at two important aspects that we need to consider before we follow Jesus. A challenging message for sure!
We had the privilege of having our good friend Rich Martin join us this Sunday. Speaking from Isaiah 61, Rich looked at how when we have Jesus, everyone is anointed and sent! What an encouraging and inspiring message!
Speaking from Matthew 18, where Jesus outlines the way in which His followers were to act, Dan Belshaw brought some key insights into the ways of our church in line with the teachings of Jesus. Dan looked at 3 dynamics at play in our faith: the upward, the inward and the outward.
Dan Belshaw spoke, on our Dedication Sunday, from Psalms 62 about how our deepest desire for 'home' is satisfied in God.. and God alone.
Based in Colossians 2:6-7, Hols Belshaw looked at the importance of spiritual discipline in our lives and how it should be motivated by worship, rather than personal gain. A challenging and equipping message for those wanting to grow in their faith.
Dan Belshaw kicked off a collection of talks called 'Let Me Tell You Who I Am' looking at the characteristics of God according to His self-definition and self-revelation found in the Bible. Dan looked at God's holiness and how our post-modern worldview often seeks to rob God of this characteristic. A challenging message filled with a lot of food for thought!
Based in Luke chapter 5, Dan Belshaw looked at Jesus' challenge of the Pharisees and their inability to move into the new. Dan challenged us on how 'set' or 'stuck' we may have become and how this affects our ability to trust God in 2024.
Dan Belshaw kicked off our first gathering of 2024 with a message all about 'the right preparation' for the calling that God has for you this year. Looking at the crossing of the Jordan in Joshua 3, Dan brought three observations of Joshua's leadership and preparation. Who doesn't love a challenge at the start of the year!?
Dan Belshaw closed our Christmas gathering with a short reflection on HOPE. Looking at the Gospel of Matthew, Dan talked through the story of the Magi and how we can have hope this Christmas.
Frank Ocampo took us into the second week of advent by looking at JOY and how no one can take away the joy that can be found in Jesus.

Frank Ocampo continued our series; 'How to know God', by walking us through Daniel chapter 3:14. Highlighting the importance of having a God-centred community, Frank gave us 3 things we would gain from community through times of struggle; encouragement, accountability and a deepening of your faith.
Holly kicked off our brand ew series, 'How To Know God', by looking at the topic of solitude. A vulnerable and challenging message to wrestle with.
Dan Belshaw closed out our REVERENCE series looking at Hebrews 13 and how it offers us a great reset of our view of God, ourselves and our ability to change.
Katherine Coulson (Renewal, Solihull) brought a challenging message around holiness and our view of God. Based in the story of Moses, Katherine encouraged us that we have been called to be set apart.
Dan sat in Hebrews 13 and looked at our perception of God and whether He is pleased with our worship or not - a refreshing message that will free you from some unhealthy thinking.
Dan Belshaw looked at Hebrews 10:23-25 and talked about the importance of confession, community and contribution. A significant message to challenge our Western view of individualism.
Rooted in the book of Jonah, Hols brought a challenging message all about repentance and turning back to God.

Vision Giving Sunday 2022-23. Dan looks at why we give, how we can participate in the vision and most importantly, what it looks like to be followers of Jesus.
Light Church Vision Sunday 2022-23. This year, Dan cast the vision of "By Invitation Only". A statement that sounds exclusive but in reality it is a charge for the church to "go public" in its faith and devotion to Jesus, to carry the message, person and hope of Jesus into every sphere we find ourselves in. It's time to go out. God is calling us forward, the question is; will we respond to His call?
A message all about God's heart to redeem His creation. A rescue mission fuelled by love.
A message all about how God is the great initiator and the great completer, but He is also the great sustainer. God gives us power for the middle.

Will it be us that are used by God to do incredible things?... the choice is ours.
