We are living in the days of confusion. It is the last hour and we need to return our Biblical roots. We have strayed when we are seeing

  • the embracing of unnatural ideas, i.e. men can have periods, men can have babies, etc.
  • the loss of our individual identities
  • masculinity being toxic
  • the inconsistency of the enemy
  • Satan's destructive devices on the church and the family

Men were born to lead. Women were made to be nurturers in the home. In the U.S. 18.4 million homes are without a father figure. There are 24% of single parent homes in the United States. It is time to return to our grass roots, Biblical foundation on which this country was formed.

In Mitchell's book, Attributes of Manhood, he tries to bring this message across to young men and old. We can return to what Biblical manhood looks like. If you would like to purchase this book, please go to https://a.co/d/frR3T0L , and thanks for listening.

Why is it that we choose to go down paths that we ultimately know will be for ourselves hitting rock bottom? In this episode I chat with former gambler, ex- offender and retired Pastor, James W. Smith. It was when he finally hit rock bottom that he realized that to change his life, he would need to change his heart. Having a praying mother helped tremendously to steer his direction later in life. He became a Pastor who, after retirement,  now encourages and instructs those who are on the same path that he once was. He is also the Author of three books: Deal By Me, A Golden Opportunity Blown, Deal By Me 2nd Edition, A Self Evaluation, and  Come, Let Us Reason Together. We finally got our goats and are realizing what an experience it is. It got me to thinking about the spiritual lessons that I am learning. Goats by nature are very curious and funny, but they can also be quite destructive and stubborn. These are some of the character traits that I have experienced so far.

  • destructive

  • curious

*stubborn

  • independent

*hungry

*strong

While some of these are negative, some can be positive. Sheep, however, have both negative and positive, but in spiritual sense, Jesus refers to those who follow his will as sheep. Here are some character traits of sheep.

*stays close to the shepherd

*can stray when not in tune with shepherd

*likes to stay in a flock

*submits when trusting the shepherd

Who are you? Are you a sheep or a goat?

One of the most important goals that you can achieve is to pass on your faith to your children and pray they make it their own. The foundation of a child's faith starts in the home. The Bible doesn't specifically use the term "conception," but it does contain references to pregnancy, childbirth, and the creation of human life. The Bible teaches that human life is sacred and that it begins at the moment of conception.

One of the most well-known biblical references to pregnancy is found in Psalm 139:13-16, which says:

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

This passage describes God as the creator of human life, who forms individuals in the womb and has a plan for their lives even before they are born.

Overall, the Bible affirms the sanctity of human life from conception and emphasizes the value and worth of every individual as a unique creation of God.

Words like racism, white supremacy, white privilege, underprivileged are often heard in the main media platforms. Is America really all of these? I say no. We are not a racist country. There is more opportunities to be whatever you wish to be than ever before. There are those who wish and are trying to turn the tide and teach this doctrine, but we need to stop them and return the the fundamental Christian values that America was founded on. Getting back to loving one another and being human should be a priority.

In so many ways we can feel overwhelmed; feel like we have hit a roadblock. Don't lose heart. Don't give up. In today's episode I talk about the whys of homesteading. Why do I homestead? Why do I continue on when it seems so hard? The why is so important. It helps us keep pace and stay on track when things come our way in which we may stumble.

If you have a story to share about your homestead, I would love to hear it. You can email me at avintagelady1817@gmail.com or find me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thevintagecafepodcast and Instagram https://www.instagram.com/thevintagecafepodcast/

Matthew Karchner grew up in a Christian household, yet he was drawn to the homosexual lifestyle. Choices do matter. His choices led him to a very dark place. It was by the grace of God that he was delivered from that life to become a new creation in Christ. He then went on to become a missionary to the country of Cambodia and has had many opportunities to witness to the homosexual community. He wrote several books about his deliverance and missionary journey.

Matthew Karchner was in the darkness and despair of homosexuality until one day he came to the end of himself. There in his darkness, the Lord Jesus Christ lifted him and set him on a journey of healing and restoration. He then went to Cambodia as a missionary to bring that same hope to those in the clutches of homosexuality.

This episode is from The Café Manna, which has since this airing been deleted. I realized that having two episodes was overwhelming and so went back to just one. The podcast I have now is called The Vintage Café Podcast. A Vintage Lady has gone through a lot of changes, and over the year and a half I have learned so many things. I really felt compelled to air this one even though I no longer have The Café Manna. I will, however,  be continuing to air episodes on Biblical subjects. It is who I am. I really felt that someone needed to hear this. Thank you so much for listening. It is because of you that I can share my podcast.

In this episode I discuss the two subjects that will make our nation strong again if we will turn our hearts back to God and do these correctly. Saving yourself for the one God has chosen will make a grand marriage and will be the foundation for strong children and ultimately a strong nation.

For those who find themselves an unwed mother or a single mom or dad you could contact your local church, Catholic Charities or the Salvation Army. Please don't end the life of your unborn baby. Choose life.

Headed to a Ladies Retreat for some great teaching and fellowship. In this episode I discuss the novels of Jane Austen and some of the customs associated with tea. What is the Biblical view of race? Is it as the Critical Race Theorists would like to have you think? In this episode I bring you to the Word of God and explain how God sees us as the human race. CRT is taking a huge toll on our society and it is time that we as Christians and Americans alike stand up and say no more! We need to expose the lies and stop this disturbing thinking.

Rachel Files has been a great friend of mine for quite a few years. With her family being of Italian heritage I thought it would be neat to interview her about her Italian heritage and the foods that she and her family enjoy. We all have those special foods and traditions that make our families unique. I will be posting the two recipes mentioned in the episode on my blog that you can find in the link below. Hope you have enjoyed my first guest on my podcast and that you can try out these special recipes.

Whether it be going through an illness or a drought on our farm, we can do it. In this week's episode I discuss my struggle with the Brown Tail Moth rash and a series of migraines that lasted for 7 days. It is also Food Story Friday so I discuss a book I am reading by Kristin Kimball called "Good Husbandry".

In her book she describes the lives of her and her family as they struggle through the challenges of working a farm. It has its ups and downs, trials and triumphs and at the end of the day, rewards. It is and interesting read and I highly encourage you to pick it up at either your library or local bookstore.

In this episode I bring to you a few examples of those in history, whether it is a long time ago or in our recent history, who overcame the obstacles set before them. They chose to be victors instead of playing the victim card. They had determination and perseverance to be strong and courageous.

While homeschooling and doing a unit study on Hanukkah we discovered Latkes. Traditionally they are served during Hanukkah and eaten with honey or fruit preserves. I did discover that before being made with potatoes they were made using Ricotta cheese or some other form of curdled cheese. Because of Jewish dietary laws they could not make them using this method. They are flavorful and delicious. Hope you can try them. Below is the web url where I found the recipe.

What are the issues that are facing us today? In this episode I go over some of them. We need to get out there and let our voices be heard. We can find all of the fundamental issues right in the pages of God's word. What are some of them that should be upheld?

Standing for the unborn- the word of God tells us that children are a blessing and that we there is life from the moment of conception. Here are a few scriptures to back that up:

Isaiah 44:2, Psalm 71:6, Psalm 139:13-14, Psalm 127:3, Luke 1:41-44

Marriage: a covenant between one man and one woman

Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:31, Genesis 2:18;21-24

Disregard for Authority- Romans 1:30

There is a blatant disregard for parents, the elderly, police, even our President. It is time that we as Christians and fellow Americans get down on our knees, repent, and pray for God's direction and the ability to make our voices be heard.
