Mesmerising dance music lovers into progressive realms of sounds, infused with tech beats and epic chords, Reuben Valentine has been enticing Malaysian clubbers with his individualised mixing styles while taking them on a euphoric journey for more than 22 years.

His talent and mixing prowess have contributed immensely to the evolution of the local clubbing scene; and is not short of demands as a guest DJ for public and private gigs. Club denizens can attest to his uncanny knack of just knowing the tunes to spin and his instant chemistry with clubbers to set the dance floor ablaze with ecstatic rapture.

As an innovative spinmeister, he began his residency in Kuala Lumpur at Malaysia's first electronic dance music club, Fire. The trend evolved and prompted others to follow suit with legendary clubs such as Energy, Underground, The Backroom, Scandals, Flux, Atmosphere, TwelveSI, Space and Ministry of Sound propelling the scene to dynamic, dance music era proportions. And of course, Reuben had residencies and guest DJ nights at these formidable clubs, with Trancenation and Transcend being one of his most anticipated signature Friday nights at Ministry of Sound & Atmosphere.

He has played with some of the world’s best and among the most memorable are Ron Van Den Beuken (Spinnin Records), Kyau & Albert (Euphonic Records), Judge Jules (BBC Radio 1), AJ Gibson (Godskitchen), Pete Wardman (Slinky), Danny Howells, Max Graham, Darren Stokes, Christopher Lawrence, Lisa Lashes and Faithless. So it was only natural that he was voted as the Best Trance DJ 09/10 at Choons Awards, Malaysia's dance music awards.

On the flipside, Reuben has channelled his talents and experience into producing music. Among the notable tracks he has reworked on are ArteDeep' & ‘Live Or Let Die’, sold at leading online music stores such as Beatport & Junodownloads. He continues to hone his music production skills with a list of yet to be published but extremely captivating choons.

Although he took a 4-year hiatus to focus on a "cup of joe" business, his love for music remains and dabbled occasionally with selected gigs. Reuben is now returning to the scene with a force saturating with transcending music and epic vibes.
