Nick Martell and Jack Kramer met in college in Middlebury, Vermont -- they became fast friends and eventually business partners -- launching a business newsletter called Market Snacks that eventually went on to become a daily podcast acquired by stock trading app Robinhood. Both Colin and I have been huge fans of the show for years. We're very inspired not only by how these two tell stories via audio but how good they are at building a true community and including their audience in the show. They make complex stories from the business world accessible and relatable, which is something Colin and I try and do as well. Recently Nick and Jack left Robinhood but kept their podcast under a new name "The Best One Yet". You'll find out why that's the name later on in the episode. After Nick and Jack went independent they reached out to Colin and I to help them build a video version of their show on YouTube. This is part one of a two-part series with Nick and Jack...in this first episode you'll hear how they'll built their wildly successful newsletter and podcast, and in part two you'll get to hear us troubleshoot the problems their facing in a special edition of Creator Support. That episode will come out on Thursday. Alright, hope you enjoy this episode of The Colin and Samir show with Nick and Jack.

Eric Decker aka Airrack started uploading to YouTube in January 2020. He started this year with 50 YouTube subscribers and today he has over 500,000. He’s had explosive growth this year and his mission is to get to 1M youtube subscribers - in order to get there he’s had to do some pretty crazy things including taking out a $17,000 loan to pay for one video. He’s one of the most committed creators we’ve come across and we definitely feel like he has what it takes to get to 1M subs and probably even further than that - and once you hear this episode I think you’ll agree with us on that as well. If you aren’t familiar with his videos, just type in Airrack on YouTube, I’d recommend that you watch his Couch series, that’ll give you a pretty good understanding of who he is.

Justice for George Floyd: https://www.change.org/p/mayor-jacob-frey-justice-for-george-floyd
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we address the current protests that come as a result of the murder of George Floyd. It took us some time to organize our thoughts around this topic - we’ve talked to each other, friends and family and have put together thoughts that we’d like to share on this podcast as well as across our platforms in the coming days. We ask that the listeners of this podcast be open minded as you listen to our conversations - and to use our conversation as a spark to not only have conversations in your own community but to also take action.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast we’ve got a bit of a different episode for you guys, we asked you on instagram what you wanted to see in the storytelling course that we’re working on and a lot of you asked about the brainstorming process. So we had a brainstorm planned for the week and thought we’d just press record and bring you a long. Storytelling isn’t just about the specific videos we make but also about a brand as a whole, a great brand is a great story - and we feel like we could e telling a better story as a brand. So in this brainstorm we work through our show the breakdown and try and come up with a Unique Value Prop for the show as well as the branding elements and framework that will communicate the unique value prop to the audience.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast we talk about the future of the world, from concerts to restaurants to college - we’re about to see a big shift in the way the world looks, which means a lot of change and a lot of innovation. This week, on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by Danny Casale aka Coolman Coffeedan. Now we actually recorded this episode a few weeks ago and we are working on a YouTube video with Danny, but felt like right now was a good time to release it because Danny’s story is extremely inspiring and he built a lot of his career from his bedroom...which is where a lot of us are spending most of our time now. Danny is a NYC based artist who has gained popularity through his surreal, and poorly-drawn animations. He calls himself a Bad animator, but his bad animations have made there way on to the big screens at times square… he’s got 2M subscribers on YouTube, 2 Million on Instagram 1.5 Million followers on Facebook and another 1.3 Million on Tiktok, so clearly his animations connect with a lot of people. He recently released an album on Spotify
Although he’s been uploading to Youtube for over 10 years for His style first took off in 2017 when he released an animation titled Snakes have Legs, which was basically a PSA for people to stop believing everything they read on the internet. The video has over 10 million views on Danny’s facebook and has been shared all over the internet. Spending the day with Danny was awesome, he’s a big inspiration to us, his message is strong and his style is so relatable. I would recommend checking him out on instagram before you listen to this so you can get a feel for his style, he even recently put out a song about washing your hands. We met Danny earlier this year at Samsung Unpacked and we quickly bonded over our mutual love of emo music… so if you’re into that too, tweet at us @colinandsamir
In this episode Colin is back in LA and we podcast about the current state of the world. We are also joined by our friend Jack Coyne in the middle of the episode who give us his perspective. Make sure to tweet at us @colinandsamir, send us a voice message on Anchor or shoot us an email to join in on the conversation. Thanks for listening and supporting us and we'll try our best to give you more podcasts in the coming weeks.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast I’m joined by Thomas Dajer. Thomas is the lead editor for the YouTube Channel, Yes Theory - we’ve had him on the show before to talk the what goes on behind the scenes of Yes Theory and how they craft their stories that reach millions of people. This week, we’re talking about something different, Thomas competed in one of Mr. Beasts challenges - now if you are unfamiliar with Mr. Beast, he’s a creator with over 32 million subscribers - he does these big social experiments that often times end with some sort of cash prize. Thomas not only competed in the video but also Won (and he won $70,000...) We spend the first 20 minutes of the episode talking about the making of that video - so If you haven’t seen it yet - watch Yes Theory’s version on their channel and then listen to the podcast - it’ll make more sense once you’ve watched the video, We also talk about Thomas’ trip through Europe, his modeling career, his on-camera appearances and his efforts to expand his identity, it’s a really interesting conversation that we had a lot of fun having.

We’ve taken a 3 month break from the podcast and are really excited to be back. In these three months, I’ve traveled to India, Colin has taken 2 cross country road trips and we’ve lived out a dream of ours by working with Samsung to unveil their latest phone on stage with them at their unpacked event in San Francisco.
On this episode we truly pull back the curtain and take you through the last three months, which have not been the easiest months for us, they’ve actually been both some of the most challenging as well as most surreal and exciting months in our career. Our goal with this podcast is to be completely open and honest throughout our journey so that we can build community with all of you out there that are pursuing your own creativity, your own passions and your own ideas, it’s not always easy. This episode is just us but we also have some awesome guests lined up for future episodes, we love bringing others in to share their perspectives on the creative journey.

Colin and I are back with another episode reflecting on our year, giving you an update on what we’ve been up to and talk about what we’d prescribe to the world for 30 days.
Hey, we're back!
On this episode we talk about where we've been and why we took a break. We also talk about hitting one of our big goals on YouTube, 100,000 subscribers. Follow us on twitter, instagram and subscriber to us on youtube - we are Colin and Samir across all platforms.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we talk about our latest movie, The Lost Pyramid, with Ammar Kandil of Yes Theory. If you haven’t heard about it yet, we spent the last month working on a movie with our friends at Yes Theory, it was one of our toughest projects to date, but we’re really excited about the story that we got to tell.
On this episode we talk to Ammar about the process of making the film, and bring you guys behind the scenes of what our last few weeks have been like working on this movie. We also talk about how we released the film, which was a total experiment for us - We released the movie using a “pay what’s fair” model - meaning that the audience gets to decide how much they want to contribute to watch the movie.
So this is now our 3rd documentary this year and our second documentary with Yes Theory, and also our second podcast with Ammar, if you haven’t heard the first one definitely go back and check that out, there are some awesome stories in there.
If you haven’t seen the doc yet, head to yestheory.com/documentary to check it out and you can contribute what you want to watch the film. Alright we hope you enjoy this episode of the Colin and Samir podcast featuring Ammar Kandil.

Another thing that is happening this week is that i’m turning 30. Colin and I love to talk about big milestones and i think that’s probably because we’ve gone through some pretty pivotal moments together over that past 7 years. Turning 30 feels like one of those big moments. On this episode we talk about my expectations and feelings going into the next decade of life and the concept of balancing time while trying to achieve creative and financial goals.
On this weeks episode, Colin is out of town and Samir takes questions from twitter and instagram. You can ask more questions by tweeting at us @colinandsamir
Make sure to check out our new documentary, coming out on August 11th. Find out more at Yestheory.com/documentary
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by Yes Theory’s head editor, Thomas Dajer. We talk about the ups and downs of what it’s like to be a full time editor, and TD has been editing full time for 4 years now. In those 4 years, Yes Theory has built an audience of over 4 million subscribers and TD has edited videos that have gotten over 416M views on YouTube Alone, including a number of videos that have over 10M views.
Editing is one of the most important crafts in filmmaking, especially on youtube - it’s where the story comes together, and it’s what separates the good channels from the great ones. Some creators take on the edits themselves and some bring on others to help tell their stories - the bottom line is, without editing, films don’t get made. Editing is also where a lot of creators tend to burn out - long hours, not much sleep, creative roadblocks, software problems, the list goes on. Earlier this year we worked with TD on a documentary for Yes Theory’s channel called “Frozen Alive” and during that time we connected on our love hate relationship with the craft of editing and that’s a big part of what we explore on the show today.
We also cover ton of other topics such as personal fulfillment, time and relationship management as a creator and how it feels to be the guy behind the guys.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast we bring you behind the scenes on a conversation we’ve had for the past 3 years. When we left our stable jobs and starting chasing the dream of becoming filmmakers, we didn’t know what to expect, and to be honest, we never expected it to be as hard as it has proven to be. It’s not easy when you decide you want your own creativity becomes your source of income, and that’s what we explore today on the show.
We'd love to hear from you! Make sure to tweet at us and leave us a voice message on anchor, we'll include it in our next episode.
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast we talk about how media, and specifically social media, plays into defining the identities we all connect with and aspire to be like. We talk about masculinity - which is an interesting topic, because most of our lives and careers have been connected to sports - and sports play a big role in defining masculinity.
This has to be one of the most interesting conversations that Coin and I have had to date and i’m curious to hear your opinion once you get to the end of the episode. Our podcast is very conversational and we want to include you in the conversation - so drop us a voice message on anchor or a tweet on twitter at any point in this episode if you have an opinion or thought on the topic we are discussing.
On this weeks episode we talk about a big first for us, We made a documentary for Television - a 22 minute special for NBC sports. We talk about how we got the project and the lessons we’ve learned from what turned out to be, the toughest creative project of our lives.
This week on the Colin and Samir podcast we take a question from anchor that inspired the topic for the episode, self doubt.
Self doubt is something that we all deal with in some capacity but it is especially relevant for creators and artists. We deal with self doubt on a regular basis and we share some stories from our personal experience with the emotion.
We also give advice on how to deal with self doubt and give an update on our skydiving experience from last week.
Thanks to everyone who has reviewed the podcast and everyone who has left us a voice message on anchor, we seriously appreciate all the support. Enjoy the episode and tweet at us @colinandsamir
This week on the Colin and Samir podcast, we talk about a call we got from Yes Theory, we explore the concept of saying yes, which we did and talk through our fears about skydiving for a second time…which should pretty much explain what the call was about.
We also continue our conversation on instagram and debate some recent news about the platform. Lastly we take a really interesting question from a listener and give our opinion on the matter.
Make sure to review the pod on iTunes and leave us a voice message on Anchor, we love to hear from you!
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast we’re talking about a big moment that we experienced earlier this week. We got invited to an event from a brand we’ve always wanted to work with - and on this episode we reflect on the experience as well as talk about the importance of having a defined North Star when you are creating content or really just trying to bring any idea to life.
We also answer your questions from the anchor app - we integrate those question throughout the episode - thanks to everyone who submitted questions for this week, we’re going to try and integrate more questions in our episodes.
Today on the show we are talking about the value of sticking to a schedule when it comes to creating content. Appointment viewing is nothing new in entertainment - live sports and shows like Game of Thrones have found tons of success by committing to a release schedule. On this episode we get into our desire to find a consistent release schedule on YouTube, the value of doing so, and the struggles we’ve had every time that we’ve tried.
Also, we are taking your voice messages, download the Anchor app and send us a message, we'll incorporate your question or topic into our next episode.
Today on the Colin and Samir podcast we're talking about social media use...specifically Instagram and the effect it's had on our lives as creators.
Social media addiction is a phrase you're probably hearing a lot right now and we're seeing many of our friends deleting these apps off of their phones and taking breaks from them, something we've done ourselves recently.
We've actually been taking a break from content creation in general and as you probably know this is our first episode back in almost a month.
In this episode Colin and I dive into our own social media use, what we like, don't like, and how we keep our time on social media apps like Instagram in check.
Towards the end of the episode we talk about some of Instagram's newest product features that get us excited to create with it moving forward.
Check out Paul's podcast: Suiting Up with Paul Rabil
Today on the Colin and samir podcast we’re incredibly excited to bring you a conversation with our great friend. Paul Rabil. Paul is a professional athlete, an entrepreneur a creator, a podcaster and the most driven individual we’ve ever met. He’s a professional lacrosse player and on the field is often times referred to as the Lebron James of lacrosse, and to tack onto that off the field he’s referred to as lacrosse’s first million dollar man.
Paul has invested in and started multiple successful businesses both in and out of the sports landscape and most recently has launched his biggest venture ever - The Premiere Lacrosse League. With this new venture he’s not only looking to change professional lacrosse but he’s creating something that will undoubtedly change the way we view professional sports moving forward.
We first met Paul back in 2014 when we created a partnership with him to start a YouTube channel. Over the course of the past 5 years, we’ve created hundreds of videos together, amassed a subscriber base of over 160,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and created an award winning docu-series - most importantly we’ve developed a strong friendship.
Paul has been a great mentor to us throughout our Journey, he continues to inspire us with his creativity and ambition and we just couldn’t be more excited to bring you this conversation with our friend Paul Rabil.
The Wait but Why article Paul talks about on the episode: The Tail End
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by one of the founders and creators of Yes Theory - Ammar Kandil. Ammar and Yes Theory have built a global movement through their youtube videos about seeking discomfort, if you don’t know yes theory they believe that the best things in life are on the other side of your comfort zone and the best experiences in life can often times be achieved just by saying one simple yes. Today Yes Theory has over 3 Million subscribers on YouTube and a rapidly growing fanbase across all platforms.
On this episode we talk to Ammar about creating global movements, he has this incredible ability to not only capture the attention of a large audience but also inspire them to take action. Ammar was originally born in Egypt and traveled all over the world before landing in venice beach with the guys from yes theory to start building their vision.
We talk about growing up in Egypt, living through the Egyptian revolution, creating digital and physical movements, starting Yes Theory and even more topics than I can list considering this was officially our longest podcast ever. Get comfortable, this is one of our best episode to date.
Because this is an episode about global community - we’d love to hear from you and where you are listening from, post a screenshot IG stories and on twitter, tell us where in the world you are listening from and tag @colinandsamir and @ammar to let us know where you are listening from.
This week on The Colin and Samir Podcast we talk about realizing our dream of making a movie. We’ve had this dream for a while and we’ve talked about it quite a bit, we’ve always wanted to make a documentary, screen it in front of people and then have millions of people watch it….and all of that happened, within a week.
Here's the link to the film: https://youtu.be/8cvhwquPqJ0
On this episode we talk about how it happened, how we felt during the process and how it feels now to reflect back on realizing a dream of ours. Alright so this episodes opens up in Colins apartment as we reflect on making our first movie.
We're incredibly grateful to the boys from Yes Theory, everyone who came to the premiere and to everyone who has watched the film so far - we are so excited about the response and can’t wait to make our next film.
Some big takeaways from this experience - be present in the moment, a lot of times if you put your mind to It, your dreams will come true - but not exactly how you thought they would, or when you thought they would - they might look completely different from how you imagined them, but it’s important to try and recognize when they actually might be happening.
Make sure to review the pod, like I mentioned, we are now on Anchor which means you can send us a voice message, we’d love to try that feature out and see what kind of voice messages we get from you guys.
Check out Houston here: https://www.houstonkraft.com/
This week on the Colin and Samir podcast we’re joined by a very unique guest. His name is Houston Kraft and he’s a storyteller and kindness advocate.
Houston uses his storytelling abilities to spread stories about empathy kindness and love all with the goal of giving people the tools to practice more of those emotions in their day to day lives
We wanted to bring you this conversation during the week of Valentine's day, a week where we hear a lot of about love of a specific kind - but there are actually many different varieties of love and empathy
I believe that empathy is one of the most important emotions to exercise if you are trying to connect with others, whether that’s through business, through content, or just through communication. Houston tells us his story and we talk about the concept of love and kindness. He’s a great storyteller and he ends this podcast on one of the more powerful stories I’ve heard from him. We also have some surprise guests pop in while we are recording, so stay tuned for that.
This week on the Colin and Samir podcast we talk about a day that we never expected would come. We recorded this episode on Colin’s 30th birthday. Colin and I met when we were 22 and have been working together ever since. Our twenties were filled with experimentation, successes, failures and a lot of adventures along the way. On this episode, we reflect on the past 10 years, the work we’ve done together and the decisions that defined the decade for Colin.
There were a few unexpected moments in the episode - we had a brief weather interruption and a phone call from Colin's mom that we recorded, and decided to include an abridged version towards the end of the episode.
Enjoy our conversation and sign up for our newsletter at Colinandsamir.com
This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by our good friend Matt D’avella. We first met Matt about a year ago when we were on his podcast - The Ground Up Show. Over the past year Matt has grown a serious audience on YouTube, he’s about to cross 1 million subscribers, and some of his videos have hit the 7 million view mark. The interesting thing about Matt is that he’s made YouTube a career for himself without any advertising or sponsorships. He’s paved his own way to make filmmaking a career. On this episode we talk to Matt about why he doesn't do advertising and how he supports his filmmaking career.

thanks so much for a great year - we appreciate all of your feedback and support!
On this episode of The Colin and Samir Podcast, we take a look back at the past year of our lives…and this has been a year of a lot of ups and downs. Colin and I both wrote down some amazing moments from the year prior to the podcast and I think we both expected this episode to be filled with a lot of fun stories about those memories, and we absolutely touch of a lot of those, but we also dive into the uncertainty we felt during the year. The conversation takes some twists and turns that we didn’t know it was going to take, but I guess that’s fitting because it is similar to the way our year went...filled with unexpected twists and turns.
So if you’ve been following us all year or if you’re just starting to tune in, I think you’ll really enjoy this reflection into the past year of our lives and our careers.
This week we’re talking about our experience at Buzzfeed. As a quick refresher, we pitched our show, The Breakdown, to a program called Vertical U that’s run by Instagram and Buzzfeed. Out of over 300 creators, 15 were selected to spend the week at Buzzfeed developing their shows. After the last day of the program, we decided to pick up the mics and recorded our thoughts on the week.
On this episode we take you through our experience at Vertical U, we talk about what we learned from the program and what we learned about ourselves from the experience.
This week we're joined by Samir's brother, Sahil. Sahil can be considered a somewhat third member of our team - obviously, he’s been a big part of my life but also he’s played a huge role in supporting Colin and I as we’ve navigated the world of being professional creatives.
He graduated from UCLA law school and ended up becoming a lawyer at a very prestigious firm, but once he got there, he started questioning if it was really how he wanted to spend his time - which led him to find very powerful creativity inside of himself.

On this weeks episode of The Colin and Samir Podcast, we talk about how feedback plays into everything Colin and I do - from launching brands to creating videos, feedback is an essential step in the creative process.
We also give an update on a project we talked about in last weeks episode and end the episode with some Q & A from instagram.
This is episode 30 of our show and we couldn't be more excited with where the show is headed. If you have feedback for us please rate and review the podcast or tweet at us @colinandsamir
This week Colin and I talk about a recent experience that turned out to be one of the most nerve-wracking experiences we’ve had in a while. It all revolves around a pitch for our show The Breakdown - and we’ll get into more specifics about the opportunity and the experience in the episode itself.
This podcast recording was actually the first time Colin and I talked about the experience and it led to a lot of interesting topics in our conversation. We talk about how each of us felt before, during and after the pitch experience, we talk about the concept of comparison and imposter syndrome and we even talk about morning routines and how we each try and set ourselves us for success in the mornings.
This is probably one of our most revealing podcasts - I think even we were surprised about where the conversation went.

This week on the Colin and Samir podcast, we take a look at ourselves and more specifically, we take a look at our lifestyle and how the work we’re doing everyday is leading us towards a life we want to live. As we started thinking about this topic I wrote down a bunch of questions to ask myself and eventually turned it into a worksheet that I printed out for both Colin and I to fill out and answer on our own.
After we answered them, we got together and reviewed our answers and In this podcast, we go over our answers and talk about what we learned by doing this exercise.
We’ve actually turned the worksheet into a PDF that you all can download, just go to Colinandsamir.com or check out our twitter @colinandsamir and we’ll have a link to download the worksheet if you are interested in doing it after you listen to the episode.
Today on the Colin and Samir podcast, we are joined by our good friends, Rachel, and Daniel of Mango Street. Rachel and Daniel have created a very successful brand on YouTube through photography tutorials, films and a unique take on vlogs. This week on the Colin and Samir podcast we ask ourselves one question - Why?
Why do we do what we do every day? This conversation was inspired by a Ted Talk from Simon Sinek called Start with Why. We have been doing a lot of thinking around our purpose as creatives and trying to better understand our own personal reasons why we want to make videos for a living. In this episode, we record an open and honest conversation about our choice to work together and take on a challenging and time-intensive career path.
I’m sure some of you have listened to Simon Sinek’s Ted Talk, but if you haven’t, definitely look it up on youtube - just type in Start with Why and it will come it - watch the 18 minute video, Colin and I liked it so much that we both ended up buying his book, Start with Why.
Let us know what you think about the episode and about Simon Sinek's talk, tweet at us @colinandsamir
Today on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by Thomas Brag and Matt Dajer from Yes Theory. This is an episode we’ve been wanting to record since we met the guys back in February.
Yes Theory is not only a YouTube channel with millions of subscribers, but a movement and a way of life. They believe that the best things in life come from putting yourself in uncomfortable situations and challenging yourself to say yes to more things in life. They spread that message across the world through the content the content they create and we can tell you first hand that they authentically live the message in everything they do.
If you haven’t checked out Yes Theory, we highly recommend you check them out on Youtube and see what they are all about, I can pretty much guarantee you’ll be hooked. When we first watched Yes Theory videos, we were instantly hooked and decided to challenge ourselves to meet them in 24 hours, which worked and we’ve been friends since.
On this episode we cover the early days of Yes Theory, the choices they made and the challenges they faced trying to get their idea off the ground. We were incredibly inspired while recording this episode and we think you will feel the same way after listening.
Check out Yes Theory: www.youtube.com/yestheory
In this weeks episode, we are driving to the Grand Canyon to help out with The Jump. In case you missed it - Last week, Will Smith bungee jumped out of a helicopter because of our friends at Yes Theory.
While we were driving from Pheonix to Flagstaff Arizona, we turned on our mics and recorded one of our most vulnerable conversations to date. We talked about fame and what it means in the modern world. We also talked about some early stage success we've had with our new show, The Breakdown, and how that has affected us.
We hope you enjoy the conversation and please let us know if you have feedback for the show by tweeting at us @colinandsamir.
On this episode of The Colin and Samir Podcast, we’re joined by the youngest guest we’ve had on the show, Braxton Haugen. Braxton is a filmmaker and YouTuber based in Oregon, he has a long history of working in entertainment, more specifically in television. He’s 18 years old but as you’ll hear on this podcast, he’s wise beyond his years.
We met Braxton because he wrote an article about us, and it was so well written that we schedule a Skype call to learn more about him. On that call Braxton told us that if we ever needed help with anything, he’d fly out to LA and work with us…so a few weeks later Braxton landed in Los Angeles to help us with our new show, The Breakdown.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve put out 2 episode of the show and learned a lot about the production process. But the most important part of the experience was getting to know Braxton and learning how to collaborate, which turned out to be a seamless process.
He’s extremely talented, he's well spoken and we’re excited to introduce all of you to Braxton Haugen.

This week on the Colin and Samir Podcast, we are really excited to have our good friend Kyle Harrison joining us. Kyle is a professional lacrosse player that Colin and I both looked up to when we were young lacrosse players. As most of you probably know, Colin and I both grew up playing lacrosse - and as we grew our first company, The Lacrosse Network, we actually got to make videos with Kyle and through that process, we became close friends.
Something really interesting about our relationship is that Kyle was the catalyst to get us into vlogging. We cover a bunch of topics on this episode including how to manage your content as a professional athlete, How to build trust with someone you want to film (like we did with Kyle), balancing family life and brand building, Lebron vs MJ and Race issues in the sport of lacrosse.
Now in this episode we definitely dive into some topics that are specific to lacrosse, but even if you’re not familiar with the sport I still think this conversation is valuable to anyone who is interested in content creation and brand building - Athletes have always fascinated us with their ability to build long-lasting brands and Kyle is someone who has been building his brand since before the age of social media.
Today on the podcast we are joined by YouTube Creator: Cody Wanner
Cody is a daily vlogger who’s goal is to encourage the Doers, he is also responsible for the no small creator movement - a movement that suggests that there is no such thing as a small creator, whether you are creating for an audience of 1 or 1 million, the concept of creation is so large that the term small creator sounds ridiculous
Cody’s content has picked up a lot of traction recently after his collaboration with Peter McKinnon.
Cody talks about why he started daily vlogging, how to balance his family life with daily content creation for YouTube and gives us a ton of great stories from his adventures.
Check out the video we made with Cody when he stopped by our Downtown LA studio: https://youtu.be/vSfIMsnINsg

For those of you who don't know, Colin and I actually met through a cold email - I saw some videos he was making and sent him an email. Cold email is often times how ideas get turned into action.
So why did we respond to Maddy's email? What caught our attention? And how can you be more successful in your cold outreach? We cover all of this and more on this episode of The Colin and Samir Podcast.

Josh is the one who actually took us skydiving, he's an incredibly talented cinematographer and is now filming while he jumps out of planes. Alex tells us some amazing stories in this episode, we talk to him about learning how to film and edit and about what you learn from traveling the world in a car.

This week we decided to experiment with the format of this podcast. We decided to wear wireless lav mics and walk around Venice beach answering the questions that you put in the reviews of our show. The idea came from a conversation we had about "Daily Vlogging" in podcast form and what that would be like, we thought it would be interesting to hear what it sounded like to go through daily life with a mic on.
Let us know what you think about this episode and of this format, you can tweet at us @colinandsamir and you can also rate & review our podcast. Feel free to leave a question in our reviews and we will answer it on a future episode.
We reference a YouTube video in this episode about a book that became the number 1 best seller on Amazon - here's the link to that video: https://youtu.be/_DRsu5Cv3O0
