We must model our life on Jesus Christ. Don't try and find yourself, try and find Jesus Christ. Become more Like Him and less like you, because finding yourself will always be an imperfect dissatisfying kind of journey, but finding more of Jesus Christ will work. Learn to manifest Jesus Christ, let the fruit that comes out of your life, the fruit that you bare because of His work on the cross and what He has done for you.
Today we discuss and partake in Communion. Communion is a great way for us to focus our. attention back on Jesus Christ.
What is the Church and who is the Church for? Do we disciple or evangelise? Well both. The role of the Church is to draw the unchurched to Jesus (evangelism) and then grow the Believers to maturity in Christ (discipleship). The Church is therefore for all people; Jews and Gentiles, as we see in Acts 15 at the council of Jerusalem. It is also for the insiders and the unchurched as we see in 1 Corinthians 14:22–25 where Paul encourages the Church at Corinth to be sensitive to the inquirers among them at Church gatherings ensuring that the service and the gospel presentation is relatable to the outsider that their heart may be convicted and their life transformed.
Should the focus of the Church be deep Bible teaching or presenting a culturally relevant gospel to the world? Like everything in this series, it should have elements of both! The role of the Church is gospel translation. The gospel transcends every human culture yet the truth of the gospel cannot be shared outside of a given culture. It is our responsibility to share the good news in ways and words that are actually understandable and not unduly offense to the people in our community we are called to reach.
Churches are meant to be organised organisms. We must institutionalise the absolutes and core doctrines in order to protect them and pass them to the next generation. However the Church of Jesus Christ is always at its heart a people movement. Each local Church will express the gospel differently. This expression is life giving as it is led by the Holy Spirit, empowered by leadership and participated in by every Believer. It must be grassroots, organic and dynamic declaration of God’s truth within a particular time and a place.
Jesus introduced the Church in Matt 16 as the ekklesia, a called out gathering of people with a purpose. This purpose was a laser-focused mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus. The danger for the Church is in becoming a mere location, building or institution, the Kirche. In this video we unpack the first dimension of what the Church.

An important scripture that all Christians need to be thinking about in this time of uncertainty is 1 Peter 3: 14-16, having a Defence for the hope we carry in what can seem like hopeless times. Christian World view is a fantastic perspective that does give hope where hope is lacking, and God is banking on us that we turn to heal our nation and our relationships back to the original idea of what God really had in the beginning in Genesis chapter 1 and 3.
People today are looking for meaning in their lives and true authentic connections, not just friendships but have true intimacy. People today don't want to live to just be happy but live to find true meaning, this can be found in Jesus Christ and in the Church, The Church is the Antidote for meaninglessness and loneliness that is growing in our secular culture today.
As believers, we live in a fast secularising Australian culture. The Aussie perspective is often not aligned with the Christian worldview.

God invites us in relationship with Him and adoption into his eternal family. Jesus invites us to follow him. The Believers responsibility is to invite the least, the lost and all people into the Family of God. Following on from Church family: Love it this second part of the message highlights the fact that people can only come to Jesus and into the Church community when they’re invited.
God has been gathering his family, establishing his household and building his Church for all time. God offers all people adoption into his family, the Church so that we can know our Father in Heaven through his Son Jesus. In Luke 12:35 Jesus instructs us, “Keep our lamps burning.” The challenge for Christians is to remain, on fire for Jesus, continually full of the Holy Spirit and desperate to outwork God’s will. In this video I outline the key to doing this; Burning ones are Disobedient ones! The Christians who burn for God practice radical obedience to His Word, resulting in radical disobedience to everything else!

We all serve and sacrifice however, what deserves the most recognition? The Apostle Paul in the closing marks of many letters highlights the work of specific people. His honoring of these people is always for their work in serving Jesus' mission, devoting themselves to the Church and sacrificing for others. Those who Serve the Interests of Jesus Deserve Recognition (Phil 2:21).
The next generation is the future of our nation. Today we celebrated those who are rising to be tomorrow's leaders, reflecting on another successful year at Australis Christian College and hearing three powerful testimonies from our Ignition Youth Armour Bearer class.
After 40 days of prayer and fasting, our Church family learned some things. We gathered together each night to pray together and lives changed, our faith grew, children were impacted and our heart for God accelerated.

Why does the power of God increase when we gather together? Why is Church community and meeting on Sunday’s so critical to being a Christian? We know SYNERGY and TEAMWORK create better results for all. Well until you look at Babel!
In this sermon I explain what went wrong in Genesis 11, negative synergy, motived by self-glorification. Group anointing is only accessible through Group Prayer. Group Prayer trumps individualism and isolation. It centres the Believers on Christ and His mission. We see this in the revival of Acts 2 and formation of the early Church who began to gather in the temple daily (v42), a positive synergy grew and worldwide evangelism followed.
Hebrews 11 the famous faith chapter outlines those who put their trust in God completely. These were the ones that desperately pursued and found God, that sought His face, the Burning Ones.
We all approach God in various ways. However, it is those who burn in desperation to find God that always do. If we seek, we will find. The place of prayer is the place to burn for God, it is this truth that has sparked many prayer movements across the globe and throughout history.

Prayer is the relationship builder between you and God. Prayer is a conversation with God founded on His offer of relationship to us because of His Son, Jesus. Prayer is not meditation or obligation but a spirit to Spirit communion with our Father.
In this sermon I talk about our approach to prayer, is it like Mary or Martha? One was too busy to listen and connect while the other chose the one thing that could not be taken away from her, a rich and attentive relationship with Jesus.
Education is a key component in raising strong children who are able to affectively influence their culture and world.
Avril Howard shared with us how education must become a sanctuary to all who are engaged in it, a firm foundation, a sanctuary where children can experience God’s love, healing power and peace.
Be encouraged as this is what God is building in and through us as we continue to develop the land God has given us at 271 Pearcedale road, Cranbourne South.
When we meet the needs of the community and when we provide Sanctuary we make God real.
Today Ps Zoe’s heartfelt message challenged us to rise in how we serve our community. Jesus’ parable on the Good Samaritan highlights the importance for us as Christian’s to meet the needs of those around us, our neighbours.
We can bring Sanctuary to those around us through Jesus who is in us. Who can you meet the need of this week!

To understand ‘Righteousness through Jesus Christ,’ look at the Oak Tree. After chapters and chapters of judgment on Judah the prophet Isaiah begins to speak of their prophetic future and in Ch. 61:3 declares God’s people will be Oaks of Righteousness, the planting of the Lord.
In this sermon I unpack righteousness as we see in the Oak Tree; strong, splendid, permanent, fruitful. The aim of Christian life is to attain righteousness, right standing with God. This is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:22), he is our way to the strength and stability, the long living permanence like an Oak Tree.
We are Gods peoples, Chosen to out work Gods promises in this Sanctuary, we arent travelers passing through, we have been placed here to put down roots to take procession, to outwork the possessions you have for us corporately and individually. we are a people of preparation, a peoples who go after Gods perfect timing. This is Gods sanctuary.
In Samuel 7:1 as David’s relaxes in his house of Cedar he has a realization; God has no permanent home! In this sermon, we discover that ‘A home for God’s people is a sanctuary for God.’ God through his mighty power brought the Israelites into their own land, a sanctuary free from oppression. Once his people have a place, then God can dwell among them. For us today God lives in our hearts through Jesus Christ. He dwells with us through his Church, the sanctuary for all nations.
What I bow to gives me strength. In Ephesians 3:14-16 the Apostle Paul prays for the Church in Ephesus. He bows his knees before the Father in heaven asking that He strengthen the Ephesians on the inside.
Every day we are asked to bow. What we bow to strengthens us. If its God we bow to in prayer and no other idol then he builds us with his strength. If we bow to anything else we receive only strengthening of self, resentment, fear, meaninglessness, addiction and the like.
In this sermon I unpack, ‘what I bow to gives me strength.’
This is the question we asked today. We heard from four of our members today, sharing their lives and how Righteousness is impacting there lives.
Dan left us with a challenge 1. Is my life truly centered on God? 2. What am I doing to grow my faith? 3. Am I ready for my moment?
Our guest Dr. Ken Kaasik, from Estonia, shared around When God builds, Dominion is ours! God builds His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against them. God isn’t out to lose battles. Gods is a ruler and anything connected to Him is supposed to win. If we allow God to build us, His Church, then dominion is ours!
Finding the balance between the heart and the intellectual is key for us as Christians and for us as local churches to effectively influence our communities.
Caleb & Zoe share with us about their recent 6 week trip to the USA. During this time they visited schools, discipleship training centers, and churches, as well as graduating from the Colson Fellows Program, gaining a greater understanding of articulating a strong and effective Christian World View.
Water Baptism isn't just a tradition, its a milestone of a changed life. Where the old man has died and the Spirit man rises. This morning we witnessed 4 of our community take the next step in their faith journey.
God has called us all to live from a place of freedom that comes through the relationships we keep. First and foremost our relationship with Him, but also our relationships with family, friends and even ourselves!
Jesus instructed that, collectively, they were to be salt and light to the world. But he also warned that this would bring persecution. This requires us to trust that God has everything under control and to trust Him. This applies to everything from our daily bread to which political party is in power.

God’s great secret is that he desires to dwell with His creation. Much of the Old Testament, work of Christ and institution of the Church, His people was to establish a home that he could dwell, permanently, a sanctuary that was a tower of refuge and strength and a home for all nations.
In this sermon, I talk about four P’s – Person, Place, promise, and preparation. The convergence of the 4 P’s is a sanctuary. We unpack what Biblical sanctuary looks like and what “sanctuary” at 271 Pearcedale Road, our future home will look like also.
God promises to us will always be kept, He cannot lie. God promised Abraham and his descendants the land of Canaan and after periods of preparation, patience, slavery and the wilderness the Land was inherited by the Joshua Generation.
In this message I outline the strategy to transition to our Southern Lights Promised Land. On the day we give of our FIRST FRUITS as a community and continue to believe in faith that we will inherit the land called Sanctuary.
In the local Church sons and daughters give, sow, supply and serve where as members often only take, reap, consume and sit. The role of the local Church is to disciple members into sonship. Members require Christian entertainment and loads of pastoral care while Sons know their position as child of God and have made a covenant with their local Church family.
The righteousness that flows from our process of being sanctified is a key distinctive between true and counterfeit Christianity. It is not that we are saved by works but our salvation demands that we respond by changing more into Christ’s likeness. In this message I look at some historical and contemporary examples of where a failure to allow Christ to make demands on us leads to something other than Christianity.
We all love Proverbs 14:34; "Righteousness exalts a nation" and prayerfully decree the proverb leading into political elections but how does it really work? Who are “The Righteous,” and how do they go about building their nation. What should the righteous do? What are we meant to be doing?
I unpack three KEY ways THE RIGHTEOUS exalt their nation:
- They recognise the BIG Biblical story.
- They maximise vocational power.
- They steward familial responsibility.

Discipleship is key to the growth and maturing of every Christian into Christlike character. This morning we inducted our 2019 class of Excelerate Discipleship Training students for their year of intensive discipleship training.
We experienced a powerful week at ENGAGE Defenders, where God challenged us to a greater depth of prayer and to have a greater understanding of why it is we believe what we believe. Today Ps Caleb shared some highlights and testimonies from this powerful week.

Ali Zanjani This year I’ve had to navigate changing careers after 15 years and studying a diploma of business. I’ve had to learn to continually stand firm in God, I’ve had to step out of the cave into all God has called me.
Andrew Whalan The patterns I learned in my Excelerate Discipleship Training Years years are what I have used in my role in the workplace. 2018 I have learned to live and stay strong in God, developing strong character and using what I have learned, and choosing to go to new levels of intimacy with God.
Jenni Rowe In my discipling year, I overcame the fear I lived in. 2018 I found fear creeping back in. At the beginning of this year God gave me two words, Trust and Peace. Our household has gone through numerous job changes and we have truly had to trust in God for His provision and choose to live in peace.
Ps Caleb shares with us around a servants heart in the Church as we appreciate all those who have served in various areas in the life of our church, putting the Kingdom in front of themselves.
Today Ps Caleb shared on the overflow of Awakening Australia and where we as a church are headed. We heard testimonies of those that attended Awakening and celebrated Australis Christian College three years of success as a school.
Today Ps Peter Ingram shared with us around God being ‘Faithful and True’.
All scripture says God is unchangeable. He is faithful and true in all He does. God is faithful and He is looking for a faithfulness form us as well.
Faithfulness to God means He does not change. For us, faithfulness means we are constantly changing, from glory to glory.
We must CHANGE constantly into the image of God.
We must ADJUST our lives to the revelation He gives us.
We must REJECT the lies and focus on the Truth
Church Harmonious Family and Army: Ps Caleb Nicoles talks to us about embracing as followers and believers of Christ, coming together as an army in unity, and in remembrance for our fallen 100 years ago, lest we forget.
Today Matt Tyas shared with us around Truth in Timing. God has a plan and purpose for our lives, we need to trust Him with everything. When we allow the seed to die fully, faith is birthed and we step into the abundant life God has promised.
