Jason Lenox is an illustrator who specializes in penciling, India ink rendering, and sequential artwork.
His current project is the epic sci-fi/fantasy adventure comic Lords of the Cosmos, the second issue of which was released in September 2018,
under the UGLI Studios imprint.
Jason has an extensive print and poster library, and he can often be seen on the national comic convention circuit interacting with his fans
and sharing his artwork. He is in high demand for his commissioned pieces, and also does freelance artwork.
Recently Jason’s work was included in Howl Studio’s 2018 book “The Devils Reign Book IV- All Of Them Witches”. Jason has had artwork featured
in the SS 2018 Fashion Line from Virgil Abloh’s Milan Based Fashion Line, OFF-WHITE.
Jason’s art has appeared in Dark Horse Comic’s King Conan as well as several independent comics including En Tenebres, FUBAR: By the Sword,
and Kantara. Jason’s artwork is also featured in the role-playing game modules The Hanging Coffins of the Vampire Queen, The Bleeding Hollow,
and Beyond the Pit 2. He also created a piece that was used for promotional materials and also on-set for the 2013 film Zero Charisma.
A graduate of The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, Jason also received extensive classical art training from professional
illustrator Elaine Renna of Lancaster, PA.

Derek Haugen one of the creators of Good Cops web series and the movie I had a blood Good Time at House Harker drops in to talk about his movies and film making in general.

About "Good Cops"
Three "good" cops try to nab a notorious "perp" known as "The Nightflasher." In the process, one of the cops (Sledge) is mortally wounded (or so the three cops think). Without Sledge's knowledge or consent, a plan is hatched by the other two cops, (Nicky and Perkins) to murder him while on the job so that his family can cash the police life insurance policy. The series ends with a hilarious twist and absolute proof that these three idiots are nothing, if not Good Cops.

Patrick Stewart to lead new Star Trek series!
According to Deadline, Sir Patrick Stewart has personally announced at the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention that he will officially be stepping back into the role of Jean-Luc Picard in a new Star Trek show for CBS All Access! Star Trek: Discovery co-creator and executive producer Alex Kurtzman will oversee development on the new show, which is not a Star Trek: The Next Generation reboot but rather a continuation of Picard’s story.

Brian King was born and raised in Chicago. After graduating from Columbia College he went on to work as a copywriter in the Chicago advertising community for 10 years while also pursuing his acting career. He left his job in 2010 to act full-time starring in over 40 commercials from Budweiser to KFC while landing roles on TV shows such as PRISON BREAK, LEVERAGE, DETROIT 187, MOB DOCTOR, CRISIS, CHICAGO FIRE, and EMPIRE. He also played the recurring role of “Chuck” on the STARZ series BOSS starring Kelsey Grammar. Most recently he’s been seen in movies MAN OF STEEL and A LIGHT BENEATH THEIR FEET while continuing to perform in smaller independent movies. He has also starred in three shows at Chicago’s acclaimed STEPPENWOLF THEATRE. Currently, he plays Detective Wallace on the new SHOWTIME hit THE CHI. Hannah Levien, an Australian actor and writer, is well known for her roles as Calliope in CW's hit TV show, Supernatural, and Victoria in Syfy's The Magicians. The Standard Comics Universe is made up of a variety of heroes and villains, including updated public domain characters (like TNT Todd or the Grim Reaper) and original characters (like UltraMan, Optima, Star-Storm, Chthonak, Emulex, and Dreadhelm).
Roy began commissioning comic art in 2010 and quickly settled into pieces featuring old public domain superheroes with the idea that “Standard Comics” (a real company until the 1950’s) bought all these characters and published them together in a shared universe. Eventually, his own creations crept into the mix.
Roy created an abridged Encyclopedia of his characters and is now preparing to publish a comic book.
We discuss the Public Domain as well as original characters in the new Standard Universe and his future plansfor the line.

I watched "My Roommate's an Escort" "The Mean Boss Lady" (interview with the creators here) and spotted an actress playing "the boss" that I recognized but wasn't sure from where. As the question of who she was gnawed at me, I wandered over to IMDB and looked her up. No wonder I knew her, her name is Ellen Dubin she has been in everything!
Ellen was in Sailor Moon (an uncredited role, if you know the episode please let me know which it was), Tammy & The T-Rex (no really this was a movie with some people you have heard of trailer here)she played Giggerota the Wicked on Lexx, has voiced some of your favorite games, was in Napolean Dynomite and has a new series on Amazon. I could not possibly list all of her credits, so go check out her out on IMDB.
I had a ton of fun recording this interview with Ellen Dubin. She has an interesting story, about how she went from dancing to acting, and from not liking sci-fi to loving it.

I first caught Jason Dube’s name from Andrea Molinari and again the next time he appeared, and later when I was joined by Melissa McCommon. I added his name and the name of Scattered Comics to my list of “remember to reach out to” names. The last year at Central Valley Con I met Shane Will (Scattered Comics ops manager) and picked up his comic “Caliber” and I promised myself I was going to reach out to Scattered Studios right away. Sometime later Jason Dube contacted me via our Facebook Page about reviewing one of their comics.
This is a really fun conversation, where we learn a lot about Jason, his time as a fan and as a creator. We delve into using Scattered services to get a comic made as well. Rico Anderson, an award winning actor and the oldest of 11 children on his mothe'rs side and the 3rd of 4 children oh his father's side, was born in Seaside/Monterey, CA and raised on the south side of Chicago as well as the San Francisco Bay Area. It was in Chicago where his love for the arts began. As a little boy, Rico and his 3rd grade class went to a touring performance of The Wiz, starring Stephanie Mills. Even at that early age, Rico sat there mesmerized and amazed at the performances. Memories from that performance stuck in the back of his mind and would not surface until a few years later when he and his family moved to Berkeley, California. The bug bit again and Rico started performing in several Independent films and theatre productions around the Bay Area. Rico also majored in Theatre Arts at San Francisco State University. Eventually Rico moved to Los Angeles and has been blessed to have many film, television, voice over and theatre credits to his name.
Rico's selected film and television credits include guest staring as Marco in Young & Hungry on Freeform and Donnie in Grey's Anatomy. Other selected guest star and recurring works include, The Fosters, NCIS, Modern Family, Criminal Minds, K.C. Undercover, Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly, 2 Broke Girls, Days of our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful, Murder in the First, Weeds, Sullivan & Son, Justified and The Shield.
