Good rest comes from good work. God fills us with gifts so that we can give to God and others.
By ourselves, we are easily defeated in the darkness of this world. Because Jesus has defeated darkness, through Him we will never be defeated.
Under unhealthy leadership we wither away, under healthy leadership we thrive. God wants His church to be made up of members who are led by healthy leaders, as all of us submit to the Lord.
In this all ages worship gathering we learn that though all of us will experience suffering, Jesus enables us to go through it well. We also hold a thanksgiving for Max, Isaac, and Faith Martin.
God's love leads us to serve him and others with love and joy. His love changes everything.
It is much easier to accomplish something challenging when we have someone skilled to follow. Jesus is a perfect example for us and he will help us when challenges come.
The way of the cross is not our way but his way. Surrendering in our vocation and in our homes

Jesus tethers us to a living hope. This changes how we approach the future, and it also changes how we live in the present. We are called to fix our hope on Him.
We are wanderers, but in our troubles, we can also rejoice. We are born into a living hope by God's mercy, through Jesus' resurrection. And we get to hear this good news through the Holy Spirit.
God will build up his church! It is through community that Jesus' name is made known and together we can partner in God's work.

Pride lies in all of us and lies to all of us. It tells us we must present ourselves better than what we are, we must think higher of ourselves to get what we want. But in reality, pride is a toxic disease that not only infect us, it infects our relationship with others and with the Lord.

Jesus is a better story, offers us a better community, and gives us a better way to live.
Nobody wants to be ruled by fear, and this story teaches us how we can have something within us worth dying for. And it’s that something, that Someone, that allows us to live a full life.
We thrive under good leaders and good leadership structures, we die under bad leaders and bad structures.
We are prisoners of our own circumstances: if things are going well, we're doing well. If things aren't, we aren't. We need a joy that runs deeper than when good things happen. We need a joy that can withstand the worst of circumstances.
We are not guaranteed comfort in this life, but we are guaranteed suffering.
King Jesus has come to give us joy in suffering.
All the parts that we whihold from God will die. Jesus has come to breathe new life and make us whole.
Being filled with ourselves leaves us to an insubstantial life. Being filled with the Spirit gives us a life of substance.
We are born broken and we break things. Jesus rescues us from this in our weakness and restores us to a life of wonder.
God has devoted all of Himself to us and that allows us to devote more of ourselves to Him.
We can be freed from being led by our fears, anxiety, uncertainty, and doubt. Jesus rescues us from this and allows us to be led by His Spirit, leading us into wholeness.
Healthy leadership leads to healthy people. In the church, as well as in life, healthy leadership is servant leadership.
Jesus is the surprising King that is making everything new. He identifies with us, so that we can get our identity from Him.
We are discovering what it means to be a family of doubters, sceptics, and seekers, all stumbling towards faith in Jesus.
Our third Sunday series as a church: Who We Are. We look at 2 Corinthians 4.1-6 and see how we are given the identity of a missionary: saved from our complicated hearts bent on small minded missions, and saved to God's massive mission, liberated from our shame and freed to live open and honourable lives.
