One of the main goals of homeschooling shouldn't be a time mark to hit, but rather to guide and motivate your children so that they develop a love of learning.
Let's take a stroll through the "It's free or cheap" curriculum! It's like the Dollar spot at Target, only for curriculum resources. If you're on a tight budget (Let's face it, most of us are) it may take a bit of creativity and some effort, but you can pull so many education options from free and/or cheap options. We'll go through a few in this video.

"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." - Albert Einstein
Whether you are a seasoned homeschooler, new to homeschooling, are forced to do distance learning due to COVID19 restrictions, or just have kids, understanding different learning styles and the best ways to motivate those learning styles can help with the friction and frustrations of school.
It's generally understood that different people learn in different ways. What works for one child may not work for another. Having a general knowledge of learning styles can save you a headache (or make the one you may already have not so bad!) Here, Erika goes over some with us.

Homeschool detox - it's like preparing for a new puppy. No, your child isn't a puppy, unless they want to be. However, just like bringing a new pet into the family takes preparation, so does preparing to homeschool your kids. Take time to find out where they are academically and build a learning baseline. Enjoy spending time together doing things you all enjoy - hiking, cooking, playing with actual puppies. You will be much better prepared to tackle homeschooling after this preparation phase.
