YOU HAVE A PRODUCT ALREADY OR HAVE AN IDEA THAT COULD BE TURNED INTO AN INCOME… It must be an ATTRACTIVE PROPOSITION!
1. Your interests and passions: This exercise may be something you've already done. But, if you haven't, make a list of 10 topical interests and passion areas, immediately. For example, What….
- do you like to do in your free time?
- excites you?
- magazines do you subscribe to?
- clubs or organizations do you belong to?
2. Find problems you can solve: You found 10 interests, now narrow down your options. You need to find problems that your customers are experiencing. Then determine whether you can actually solve them. Three things you can do to identify problems in specific niches:
- 1-2-1 conversations or brain-storming with your target market. Use surveys or your existing circle on social media, ask questions that help you uncover pain points.
- Actively search forums. Browse forums from your niche list, focus on discussions that are taking place. What questions are people asking? What challenges do they have?
- Research keywords. Explore different keyword combinations on Google Trends and Google Ads keywords tools. This will direct you to popular search terms related to people’s pain points.
3. Check out the competition: Competition is not a bad thing! You may have hit a gold mine if there are hungry buyers! Deep-dive analysis of competing sites is needed. List them all out and see how they market. Are able to stand out in that crowd? What’s the likelihood to rank for your keywords? How are you different, what is your unique offer? Three signs that you can enter a niche and still be successful, even with competition:
- Low-quality content; You can outrank your competition with higher quality, detailed content that serves the audience.
- Lack of transparency; Creating an authentic and transparent presence in a niche where other sites are faceless and way too corporate.
- Lack of paid competition; Disrupt the market when you find a keyword that has relatively high search volume, but little competition using paid advertising.
4. How profitable is your niche….You may not have decided from your list a single product or sub-niche, but you’ve definitely got a few ideas you feel positive about. Now, one key thing is to get an idea of how much money you have the potential to make. JVZoo or ClickBank are great resources to go to start your search.
- So, browse top products in your category. If you can't find any offers, that's not a good sign. It could mean nobody has been able to make money with that niche.
- If you find there are a good number of products (but not too many) - you're in luck. Note price points so you can price your own products competitively.
- You don’t need your own product. Affiliate marketing as a partner in your niche is an amazing way to start. Generate commissions while building your own product.
5. Test your idea: You have all the information you need to choose a niche! Now test your idea. Set up a landing page and drive traffic with paid advertising.
· You’re NOT looking for sales. You need an incredible offer, as much free value as you can give, ahead of the paying offers, to start building your email list.
· Make the offer, have a compelling message to draw the audience attention, test.
· Perform A/B split testing, this will help to optimize conversions

So what is what all about… I've been a fan for many years of personal learning and development and have experienced many successes in my life… I've had some highs, some tremendous highs and some quite low periods but you know many folks have, and what I’d like to do is at share all of that with you as we're going through. The idea is to give as much value as possible in the hope that it reaches others in their plight, not only for business but daily life struggles and challenges too.
So this adventure is looking at using the internet in as many ways as possible to motivate, inspire and share with my subscribers… just creating a positive and uplifting life for myself and for my children…
What The Fork came about from the overarching company name “What Online Global” (Check it out at www.whatonlineglobal.com) and it gives a spin on WTF to keep things clean. Secondly, when we talk about a fork in the road ahead, it’s where you may have indecision on your path. Left for that easier route and right for the damn tough challenging route (with way more fulfillment though!). What Online Global was born out of completing a google search and starting it with “what”. Generally a google search (other search engines are available! YouTube, owned by google! Or Bing, not owned by google, for example haha!) starts with “what” or “how”, so that’s where the name came from.
Reviews of topical books, YouTube videos and channels, Instagram feeds that are providing valuable content, new LinkedIn influencers, etc. Interviews with ‘normal’ Jo Bloggs, on daily living this century. Interviews with successful people that have taken their career or business to a level most dream of.
I’ll share with you my online marketing journey which is a recent addition to my multiple income streams. The online marketing space is growing exponentially isn’t it? $5 trillion in sales by 2021 is estimated! If you just get 0.001% of that pie you’ll be taking $50million! That’s just incredible to think of isn’t it?! The internet and online buying isn’t going away. Just ask Jeff Bezos.
Out of the box content that will inspire new approaches and innovation for your thinking.
So each episode should give a golden nugget of information that drives your business on, gives ideas or tips, a framework or model for self improvement, create a life of gratitude, and much much more.
